The opening sentence is my favorite: "Physical strength is the most important thing in life." He waxes and elaborates a bit, but I love the blunt opening.

I think 90% of the time someone doesn't want to "get jacked" they really just don't want to put in any effort. I put on around 25 pounds of muscle, no one thinks I look worse, women are way more interested. I'd be surprised if anyone's quality of life decreases from getting stronger.

That "never" word gets tossed around a lot.

So, if everyone felt the way you do people like: Retail employees, bartenders, waitresses would all be single.

I don't even understand how this is a question. You fucking have 0 free time for fun or relaxation and wonder why your life sucks? Good god dude, it's a fucking no brainer. Your roomate is laid back and probably less of a loser than your colorful judgement makes him seem. Good on you for working hard and all that, but you know what they say. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. When the fuck would you even hang out with a girl?

Dockers Alpha Khakis are nice, I wear levi's 511s for jeans cause they're cheaper than some ridiculous raw denim or something. Those are both "skinny" though, so depending on your body may not work for you. http://dressed.so/ is a cool website to get some ideas on what you may want to shoot for. Here is a fit guide you should read! I'll assume we're talking "casual" not for work or anything.

Yes. Ditch the cargo pants, now. Honestly. A lot of it depends on your body type. What do you look like? Regardless, you need find clothes that FIT. Get your nice shirts and pants tailored. Wear shirts that compliment your complexion, wear pants that fit well and aren't baggy. They don't have to be super skinny or 511's, but it won't hurt. No tennis shoes with jeans, shave, no white socks, no clashing undershirts. T shirts are OK depending on context. Make sure they fit and don't have really lam…

A lot of what looks good will depend on your complexion and body. Rule #1 is that it has to fit well. You absolutely can't go wrong with a white or blue shirt. If you're going out at night, feel free to wear darker.

I really don't see clothing so essential. I think a general tip is to wear what you feel comofortable in. There was a time I felt this way too. It's completely incorrect though. Dressing well as an adult is absolutely one of the best things you can do for yourself. The amount of positive attention that you'll receive can't be overstated. Don't wear a suit at 21, sure. But don't wear baggy ill fitting clothes and t-shirts either.

Solid advice, your top 3 are just about the most important things I've done in my entire life. People fucking LOVE smiling people. It's so much fun and natural to just be happy and smiling all the time now. Working out is massively important for too many reasons to list. Eat well, you've got one body.

I've been told several times this week by women that I smell good on the days I have no deodorant or cologne on. I shall pursue this further in the name of science.

That's idiotic man. You're reading shit on the internet about talking to fucking human beings in real life. That's it. Jesus christ dude, go outside and talk to people. Come read this stuff, sure, but you don't study for a test. This isn't the fucking SAT. Don't waste a god damn year.

I've done something like that a bit. It's an easy way to prevent yourself from having to do any real work or put yourself out there. If you reject them for whatever reason before you even know them, then you convince yourself you didn't care or didn't miss an opportunity. It can be very self-defeating. Obviously if you're not attracted to someone, that's another thing.

Damn, you've been in some long ones. I don't mean to imply that you should just go out and find women though. 100% focus on yourself, think of all the cool shit you couldn't do with a SO. Hop on a plane and go tour a city, Play video games all saturday, go to the gym 3 times a week. Improve the hell out of yourself as well. Being single is the tits man. Enjoy it, you have many people's envy.

Tell her you don't want to be her friend, fuck that. I told my last LTR early on (after we had made out and such) "Fuck no" when she suggested we just be friends. We dated for 2.5 years. I don't mean to give you false hope at all, but if what you want is MORE than friendship, then simply tell her: "I've got plenty of friends, and I can't be just friends with you." And then let her be man. It's for the best.

I mean, they're definitely not trolls, but I don't think they're mega-attractive. Certainly that's not what they go out and pick up in I'd imagine.

Nobody seems to stack up to my ex though. Listen dude, I've been there. That is total and complete bullshit. I have dated some incredible girls, and each one is special and unique. They've all got so many wonderful idiosyncrasies that make them worth knowing. They have interests, and quirks, and that's what makes it fun. There are tons of fantastic women out there. Do not contact your ex at all. Grieve for a little bit if you need it, but then pull up your pants move the fuck on. Every time you …

No sane person can be satisfied with life if no one will fuck them. This is especially true for guys. Can you please stop saying this like you speak for the entire species? It's bullshit, stop using it to excuse your issues. That can only be said for so long. I've been improving myself and my life for a long time now. The rewards need to come sometime. As soon as you see that the improvement itself is the reward, you'll feel better. Again, I feel weird and creepy (or at least feel like I'd be la…

Negativity is probably gonna hurt you more than anything else. This is the most profound thing in the entire thread. Hell, this is the most profound thing a negative person can realize. Nothing will change your life for the better like a new attitude. Positive thinking will draw people to you like a fucking magnet. I'm speaking from experience here as well. Controlling my pessimistic, whiney, negative, bullshit attitude was one of the best things I've ever done. I think intelligent people often …

I have a personal rule where I don't do it. I'm a "gym rat" and it just feels wrong to me. I've complemented a gorgeous girl for doing awesome lifts and not being scared of weight-lifting on my way out the door. Thats about it.

Right now, I'm staying true to my words. If I say I'm doing something, I will try my damnedest to follow through. This is what makes you an honorable man. Good on you brother. Nothing counts like your word.

Fat people in America have an unbelievable choice in off the rack clothing!

Seriously, it's some of the best money you can spend to look good. It's about 10 bucks a shirt or so and it will fit you like a damn glove. Ideally your tailor will be up to date on fashion and what fits well and then it's REALLY easy. It's impossible for me to wear off the rack stuff @ 6'4" 205lbs.

So... did you get your damn clothes to fit right? Go get your shit tailored my friend. Well fitting clothes are amazing. Congrats on the mindset.

It's not about "Fuck gender roles." Acting like there isn't a difference in the sexes is ridiculous. I'm not talking about stupid social bullshit like who buys who drinks, but deeper more meaningful differences that exist due to us being bathed in massively different chemicals our whole lives. If I had listened to bullshit about how women and men should be I'd still be sitting on my lonely ass in some bar waiting for a guy to buy me a drink. That's also some pretty heavy speculation. These are n…

I think it's pretty naive to discount the differences between the sexes so easily just because you have rare case of being the pursuer, rather than the pursued.

Absolutely man. There is a light. You just have self image issues and you don't need to. You're doing it right! Chin up bro.

Don't write this off, because I'm dead serious, but do you work out? Lift weights, get strong, and enjoy the massive increase in self image and self confidence. There is no reason to feel shame for your past, you recognized and problem and you're trying to fix it. Hell, that alone puts you miles above most people. Embrace it man, you're improving yourself. How fucking awesome is that? Stick with it guy.

I'll tell you about my personal experience. I had a "first love" type breakup, many years ago (i think 8?) and it devastated me. I was an absolute wreck. Not long after we broke up, i met someone else and we got very close and wound up sleeping together. I felt horrible, I felt like a cheater, and I couldn't stand it. I hadn't even done anything wrong! I never talked to the girl again, serious jerk move on my part. Fast forward a couple years, no relationships, lots of depression, a bit of play …
