As I've said before, I'm not relying on feminists. Think of it as a political campaign for the hearts of mainstream America. We will not succeed in this if we are viewed as morally reprehensible. This is why we need to storm the moral high ground. We need to show up in support of groups traditionally claimed by feminists, although not strictly against men's rights, like the GLBT community or the teen pregnancy groups who advocate for contraceptive use.

I do appreciate your point of view, for it makes a lot more sense then a lot of the responses I get. The only disagreement I have is that I believe that once the average man realizes and is informed of their plight, then they too will mobilize. That is essentially the point of my idea. People have also been telling me that they constantly have posts like mine, which is telling me that there are plenty of passionate men like me who wants to see something change. It's sad that you think that people will vote only based on the barriers that separate them. Not all women are feminists and not all feminists are extremists and some actually sympathize with the plight of men. In fact, getting angry, attacking feminism, being hostile is what has gained MRM the most ground. What ground? I never heard of men's rights issues before coming to reddit and I guarantee few other Americans have either. We'll have to do better than that to get discriminatory laws repealed. Name an example? MR activities in domestic violence ARE equal rights campaigns. MR activities in family law ARE equal rights campaigns. You name specific issues, while I'm talking about campaign strategy. It's a difficult and low value target to get much more than concern from even moderate feminists, they will still continue to be feminists. Changing attitudes and spreading information to young men is paramount. As I said, the target is mainsteam America. Moderate feminists would be a bonus. For sure. To be fair, I imagine many people who join r/mensrights do so because they have some pretty bad history at the hands of extreme feminism and its ilk. So it makes sense that many might be pushed to extremes of zero compromise.

I mean, if most people haven't even heard of the men's rights movement enough to adjust, then I'd say you do have a PR problem, especially since most who have heard about it view it negatively. But if you don't like the idea then don't do it.

Thanks for clarifying on some definitions that I was confused about. I guess the mindset I am advocating is for true gender equality, which both sides claim to support (although the interpretation of the term is subject to biased interpretation).
