No it is not a sports supplement. It's more or less a GABA modulator, kinda like xanax. Most phenibut is sold as "bulk powder" rather than in pill form, which is what you might be confusing it with.

Excellent post. Only thing I have to add is that phenibut has an unusually long half life and takes at least two, maybe four hours, hours after ingestion to kick in. Tolerance and withdrawal is no joke; just read some experiences on erowid or drugs.com.
