High school sweethearts, most likely.

Did you guys meet in high school (or earlier)?

I had come to many of these conclusions far before the manosphere was even a thing. I come from the side of a bit more harsh truth redpill than the hate all women manopsherian.

This is the one situation where it's kind of beneficial (or not) to let the woman initiate, but women really don't initiate. Some do, most will pretend they do, and almost all of them won't. Some guys either get extremely lucky or learn this the hard way.

The only time I see women dating men that are less attractive or equally attractive is when they met in highschool, or when they finally started dating as she was reaching her 30s. I'm not saying women can't be attracted to men, but 5's getting non-committal sex (spoiled, damaged, ruined, whatever you want to call it) from 8s kind of ruins things for the 5/10 men that could be dating those women had said women not overinflated their attraction threshold by ... for lack of a better term ... chasi…

We absolutely do. Duh... because women conveniently leave out that it is the first gate men have to get through before any of the shit you say is "most important" is even taken into consideration. If the first gate doesn't open and none the others matter if it doesn't, then clearly, logically, looks are king.

Let me guess... striking up a conversation is complimenting his tattoo while you're both in line for groceries or whatever, then he ends up leading the conversation regardless? I'm not saying you're not a great conversationalist, but this has been my experience. A woman might start a conversation, but most just instantly hand over the reins to the guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 01:32 AM

Sounds nice on paper, but in practice this is hilariously far from the general truth.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 01:27 AM

You're throwing the dynamic off, and it weirds those guys out. Or, Perhaps they've only had really bad experiences with women that were the approachers. Either way, there's a reason men should approach; and it's deeper than most people want to accept. There's an animalistic element to it... to show oneself to be a "dominant male."
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 01:20 AM

I've seen it said before that a woman might approach if the guy seems "interesting." I think the basis of deciding if a guy is interesting varies from woman to woman, but you can't tell me looks don't come into the picture. Enough with this "I didn't approach him because he was attractive" shit. We know he was attractive, because you wouldn't have given his personality or any other character metric a chance if he wasn't.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 01:12 AM
1

And women tend to be titillated by men that display aggressive-leaning traits, so I think women approaching as a rule would actually not yield the results most people think it would.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 01:06 AM
1

Women won't make the first move. They don't have to, and they want to see you do it. Something something confidence and assertiveness, or something-or-other. Some do. They're outliers.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 01:03 AM

Watch her find some ridiculous way to disagree and also not answer the question
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 01:02 AM

Regarding point 3 - we don't teach young men this in general. Some guys get lucky with looks and/or good mentors and/or social circles, and some invest a ton of time and effort to make it work through trial and error - or even copy what's working for the guys around them that are successful, but that's essentially good mentors. Now, there's others that foolishly think women will initiate, or guys too shy to talk to women; men who just don't have enough opportunities to meet women in relaxed sett…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 11:46 PM

Simple, you treat her differently than you would a friend. Flirting and fucking is part of it, yes; but not the whole picture. Your turn.

You'll have to explain how that follows from what I said.

Are homeless alcoholics the great guys I was alluding to? Interesting that you interpreted it as such...
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 04:12 PM
1

If you want to be shallow and pass on otherwise great guys just because they don't look like male models, one could argue that compromise might be needed. It could also be argued that your shallow desires are getting in the way of going for guys that are really good on paper. You stand a better (no, MUCH better) chance of locking down commitment if you relax your physical attraction standards if you're also demanding the guy be exceptional in other areas. ... That's why.

You must be a ray of sunshine if a guy asking if something he lost turned up in the lost-and-found box is grounds for saying he's worthless. Holy shit. You're either a massive asshole, or this is just subtle ick ragebait.

And women say pair bonding is a myth. The first love is the truest.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/26 09:27 PM
1

Asking out a guy you already know (I'm assuming) is one thing that women will sometimes do, but it's definitely not common. The guys who wait around for women to make such an initiating move are generally going to spend a lot of time single and dateless before they realize that it just doesn't happen at the rate women try to claim it does. Women don't need to take this risk unless they're FOMOing over the really attractive guy in the friend group that every other woman also wants. That's where y…

Women love to claim they approach like men do, but in reality it's just standing in a spot with the highest guarantee that the guy will notice her and perhaps giving him subtle signals to initiate.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/26 07:08 PM
1

Just that a lot of these women are willingly removing themselves from the gene-pool. By the time they decide having a family and being a mother isn't actually such a bad idea, they have such rotten personalities and toxic views of men that they are essentially undatable by men with self-respect

It's a feminist that uses false premises and disingenuous arguments to always arrive at the conclusion that men suck and need to be kneecapped even harder.

/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/26 06:04 PM

The only problem is that feminism is wrong about what men actually think and believe. It's a bit more than that. It also tells women to not care what men think and believe. It's a sort of "stick it to men" death-cult, at least as most women interpret it.

You must realize you contradicted yourself. You suggested to not share a shallow and superficial representation of oneself and meet in person... which suggests that men fall in love with personality more reliably than looks alone... Women arguably do the opposite: Less reliably fall in love with a good personality, and more reliably on looks alone. Are you with me so far?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/26 05:15 AM

Sounds like a defeatism issue more than anything. Everyone has a specific charm, and women especially can find men that will love them for it. For men when it comes to attracting women, it's a bit more complicated; and perhaps a bit Freudian.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/26 05:05 AM

OP forgets men will fuck just about anything under the right circumstances. It's a natural inclination to want to fuck as man and woman, and I think we both throw off vibes in these situations over time as familiarity grows. This sounds like a catfish that doesn't want to accept the facts, or a troll.

"All men are rapists"... "kill all men" ... joyful? Silly? Fun? What an interesting life you must live.

What he said, but without the comma-splice. We have a language problem where you can get away with saying increasingly disparaging things about men, in a general sense, with zero repercussion... where on the other hand, you can't even make the slightest criticism of a woman, or women, without a very serious chance of potentially brutal consequences. This is the essence of radical feminism in modern times: you can, as a woman, say anything about men (or a man), and men can't do shit about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/26 04:28 AM

It's reverse shitting
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/26 04:17 AM

Proverbs has some ideas in it that a lot of women (do or would) have serious issues with. How long have you been studying the bible, anyways?

150 by some time in your 20s? Jesus fucking christ
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/26 03:13 AM

The community brought you together. It's a luxury most people who have consistently failed on their own in the dating world don't have the pleasure of having. You're in a minority at best, and a complete outlier at worst. You probably even told your parents to make introductions so you could get closer to the guy you were smitten by.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/26 03:01 AM

More guys need to know about meggings... or just fashion in general, really. Graphic tee and jeans is anti-peacocking.

If I'm not mistaken (and I'm sure I'm not), it was you that got hyperfixated on the debt part. And, if I'm not also mistaken: that was exactly the context on which I started talking to you. Sound familiar? or you just trying to be difficult?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/26 02:57 AM

You legitimately won simply because the parents of both of you were looking out for you under a presupposed structure of church kids meeting each other while young through respective families. Most people who are struggling to meet anyone didn't have such a luxury that a lot of people tend to take for granted, or sometimes even frame as "oppressive." Congrats, but your perspective is mostly irrelevant here. I'm not even really sure what a good church girl is doing on such a god-forsaken subreddi…

Sure, but attraction is required nowadays for things like extroversion, or a great personality, to be of any benefit. Gotta get over that first hurdle before any of this shit women say they want in a man even matters. Men would do well to know this, as it's possible to be more attractive; and not much will matter until that work has been put in. That's why this looksmaxxing silliness is such a fad right now... because people are correctly identifying (in sometimes very shallow ways) that being a…

Goodbye and good luck" Women can be cruel, but this just seems fake

You know what lots of smart women do as soon as they get out of college do? Aggressively pay off that debt with their well-paying jobs. What I'm saying is: to me (and probably most men) debt-free just means not being an idiot with borrowed money and not neglecting high interest loans in favor of fancy vacations or luxury things, but for some reason that seems to feel like oppression to a surprising number of women. Nobody is saying to not date women because they have a student loan they are payi…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/26 01:58 AM

Right, but that exactly proves my point that personality isn't the most important thing. It's important only after another criteria is met - attractive. Therefore, it's second. Are you just trying to avoid looking at this through simple logic, or does this genuinely not make sense to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/26 01:42 AM
3

I've actually never seen it used in that context, but have seen it used in the context I just mentioned. Perhaps that's just how you're interpreting it through your "smash the patriarchy" lens, and ignoring the fact that it's possible for women to be stupid with money.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 08:37 PM

It is women who are educated who are far more oft to have this smug aura that they are better, or smarter because of it. Especially true when talking about women who studied liberal arts. I'm not in trades, but I've met some brilliant guys who work the trades; and I commonly see these guys get treated like worthless, idiotic trash by... you guessed it... university educated women. And these guys often outearn the very women that look down on them.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 08:28 PM

"paid to send mails" And "paid to set up meetings and get status updates from the people who actually do the work"
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 08:25 PM

A normal relationship back when people paired up young, sure. These days it depends entirely on how much her sexual appetite has been spoiled by experiences with AFs.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 08:15 PM

Spot on.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 08:07 PM

Well if a guy can't even get his foot in the door if he's not attractive enough, then I would say the most important thing is looks; and if you wouldn't date a guy with a great personality because he's not attractive: again, what is the most important thing? If you had said personality is one of the most important things, then I wouldn't be grilling you; but here we are.

Women in positions of authority also tend to not know how to command respect. In the OPs example, she just ran to someone who could command respect instead of doing it herself. The outcome is that the student probably respects her even less, and stuff like this is probably exactly why he was already so disrespectful towards her to begin with.

given that debt free is usually code for not college educated Not really. It just means men shouldn't marry women that have poor financial foresight, like racking up their credit card with silly luxury purchases and unnecessarily expensive vacations and travel - which happens far more often than I'm sure women would like to admit.

By all means, keep dating the unrealistic options who only want sex without commitment. But, remember that you're just further isolating yourself from the men you should be considering if you were being realistic. Not every woman can get commitment from the handsome guy with an 8-figure bank account, but many have been deluded into this false version of reality where every woman apparently deserves just that and shouldn't by any means settle for less.

They think that women should choose men fairly Realistically is the correct word. Hypergamy isn't fair in what we consider to be an egalitarian society where people should be seeking out their equal, but it's the way things are. If women would date realistically (AKA men who are their equals or only slightly better), they wouldn't get burned so much trying to compete in rosters of only the top echelon of men in terms of looks, money, status, etc. At the end of the day, you do you; but you can't …

I don't have to waste my time reading the whole post when the first sentence is so blatantly untrue while also disparaging towards men.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 05:23 PM

Because you claimed personality is literally the most important thing, when you yourself are implying that attraction is a top priority.

Classic projection. "I'm not gaslighting, you are!" I've known lots of sexist guys, and never once heard anything along the lines of "women exist solely for men's benefit"
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 05:15 PM

the point of our existence is to placate and pacify men. Nobody says this but women. Women put a hilarious amount of words in men's mouths

I mean, it starts with teaching young women to understand the class of men they should be looking towards to reliably get commitment from, instead of encouraging them to shoot for the stars and sleep with the high-status or highly attractive guys who are rotating through women. The reason so many women feel like they're settling is because they 1) are told not to settle, 2) are encouraged to date around and even try out the bad boys and womanizers, 3) falsely believe that sex with the top tier o…

So why do women blast men so hard for having any sort of standards when it comes to looks and attraction? Women treat it as a moral issue when a man doesn't want to date a woman because she isn't attractive to him, but they don't apply the same when a woman doesn't want to date a guy because of lack of attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 04:58 PM

Personality is the most important thing, but sometimes as women when we express a desire to be with a man we are attracted to and decide not to give a man we don't find attractive a chance. We get shamed for it Clearly personality isn't the most important thing if the unattractive guy doesn't get a chance. If personality was the most important thing, then average looking guys with great personalities wouldn't struggle in the slightest. You get shamed for it because women love to claim, in theory…

Huge point. The guy who gets milked for his time and attention by a manipulative and consuming woman who senses his desperation is told he's an asshole. The woman who gets milked for sex by the manipulative and consuming male is comforted and led to believe she did nothing wrong - oftentimes repeating her mistake

told they're trying to derail women's issues This. You bring up a men's issue, and no woman will hear it - just interrupts with "well what about X?!" (X being some marginally to grossly falsifiable claim about wage gap, reproductive privileges [yes - privileges], or whatever the flavor of the month is for women finding something to feel oppressed over) There are even guys running the male feminist software who will do the same shit. Yes, because you asked him to interpret something through his feelings... which is not the way a man navigates the world around him. Another example of why male-female friendships are kind of doomed from the start.

Why is everybody so afraid to admit that male-female friendships usually involve one side pining for the other? You would also have to be pretty feminine as a guy to have enough in common with a woman to be strictly platonic.

But I think that's the extent of the difference. If anything, men make worse, at least far riskier partners. I don't think so. Most men are selfless doormats for women, and these men can get relationships once women move on from the phase of dating and casually seeing the complete opposite type of man. Most women have at least one or a few of these doormats dying to date them, but they still choose the men that make for risky partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 07:47 PM

If it fits their argument and the logic is sound, I don't see what's so bad about it. All innovation in science and general thought starts out as guessing based on patterns.

It's so rare to find this, though. If you did, awesome. Congrats. I know of couples that met each other relatively young and jived well, but the people that make this work are a miniscule group in comparison to the sea of singles who have had to play the game and repeatedly be let down. Everyone gets jaded by that.

Keeping body fat down is very very hard as well even past age 30. Not nearly as hard as people make it out to be. Just eat less junk, drink less sugar drinks and alcohol, and walk and exercise more. It's really that simple. Hard to be fat when you're eating freshly prepared food instead of processed, highly palatable crap.

That's a good call-out. Hunters have always been wiry. Only when modern agriculture and readily available carbs came into the picture could people actually get a decent amount of hypertrophic muscle growth, as well as fat. The idea that pre-historic hunters looked like impressive bodybuilders is laughable. It takes a lot of physical work to produce food, as anybody who hunts, gardens, fishes, etc. will tell you.

You believe in evolution, right? The species closest and furthest from us generally align under the rule that the most genetically dominant male reproduces - and that's often a very physical thing. Exceptions exist, but the vast majority of species operate on this principle. To deny it just because it doesn't suit your worldview that women don't in general like physically impressive men is kind of gives anti-evolution vibes tbh They say brains are better than braun, but my belief is that women e…

Most people seem to accept that there is a sort of deep-seated genetic memory, and a lot of people love psychology... so I don't get why people are so dismissive of evo-psych. Shit, evolution is hard to prove; so there are still a lot of people that believe some sort of creator did all this.

It was you that attributed Christianity to virginity as we know it and linked it to this conversation ... ?? As far as I know, Christian men were, and still sort of are, held to the same standard to remain chaste until marriage. I'm not seeing this misogyny behind virginity you're dreaming up.

It's not statutory rape when it's a young dude scoring, or at least that's what women and their simp followers (who, together, make up a sort of modern Moral Majority) want to make you believe. It seems like people forget two things: Women benefit from a ridiculous amount of double standards Women are just as creepy as men
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 07:43 AM

When the average age gap is greater than zero, it means most women are dating older men. It's not that uncommon to see a woman dating a man 10 years older than her, but far more common to see a woman dating a man 2-3 years older.

Greater than zero? Great! I can safely say women, on average, date older men. And you probably met him as a teenage redditor. You won, congrats.

It's half and half. On one hand it's "women are great and I shouldn't bother them" - which, good luck... because women don't initiate as a general rule. You have to be willing to take a chance if there's even the slightest sign she's attracted. 99 times out of 100, she's not going to ask you out; so really, it's the man's birthright duty. On the other hand, it's "I feel like I need to carry on, but man this relationship is slowly killing me and I don't know what to do." These guys end up divorce…

There's the blue pill take of "just leave women alone because you're making them uncomfortable, and that's not cool... maaan," and the red pill take of "women are highly intrigued by an attractive guy who is indifferent towards them in a world of over-validating simps."

It's a male-feminist grounded viewpoint, so it's definitionally blue-pilled
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 01:03 AM

Women have plot armor in this scenario. A man has to deal with the fact that there might be a guy who can choke him out, and male vs male competition often devolves to this when adrenaline is flowing. The pen is mightier than the sword, but the sword is still how a lot of men resort to dealing with problems, disagreements, or just generally asserting dominance.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 12:59 AM

For men, there are way too many horror stories about doing this. There's also horror stories of women picking fights that their men must then come fight, but that's kind of a tangent I thought might not be appropriate for this topic. People knock anecdotes, but as they say: the smart man learns from his own mistakes, and the wise man learns from the mistakes of others

With coffee dates, the main draw is that if you don't like the person after a few minutes then it's totally fine to just wrap up the date and take the coffee to go. Much harder and more awkward to do that on a hike, or at a restaurant before the food comes out; And, you can't expect guys to pay movie theatre prices for women they aren't sure about.

Women don't want to lose their simps to third world women, so they rightfully shame and demonize the practice. You shouldn't pay these women any mind, though. They don't want you, they just want to control you. They're trying to claw back the power they fear they are losing.

Exactly. There's a small subset of men of any particular younger age that women of the same age want, and the rest just have to work hard until said women realize not everyone can have the star athlete or the guy who comes from wealth. The phrase "women wait at the finish line and pick the winner" didn't just materialize out of thin air.

Women, even with gender parity, still receive scholarships, middle-management positions, professional school admissions, etc. at a rate far higher than men. The women his age aren't really selecting for potential. It's not until he has actualized his potential that "age appropriate" women will consider him as an option, and usually that's after they've spent around a decade dating older men - you know, guys with a lot more to offer than guys their age who haven't reached their potential yet.

Most women will not date a guy long-term unless he can lead the relationship, and conversely most women won't date a man who is passive and struggles to lead a relationship. Exceptions obviously exist, but they certainly don't make the rule. If the majority of women want the guy to take the lead, that means they must fall into some kind of follower (submissive) role.

For example, red pill, one of the very core red pill beliefs is that women are always 100% inherently and profoundly inferior to any man she chooses to date or have sex with. That's not a core belief of the red pill at all. It could be a belief of some hyper-sexist guys who may or may not be red pilled. People focus too much on a "formula" instead of, let's call it, touching grass. You can't just learn this stuff by reading about it alone. You also have to go out and try stuff to see what works for you. Experiment a bit. So many guys are stuck on that first difficult level and need the cheat code or else they just quit. A unique personality that is likeable goes a long way with all people, but you have to develop it.

All guys can be more attractive to women, but it takes time, physical exertion (play a sport, work out every now and then, etc), study, practice, etc. The best way for most guys to go about dating is to become more like the guy that women want, then play the field - not even in a womanizing way, but just non-committal until you've heard enough of various women's bullshit and found someone that's cool. The confusing part is that you can't listen to what women say they want. That would be just sil…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 05:45 AM

In general, not a lot of women are marrying men that earn less. In casual dating, sure; but not marriage, where women tend to make deliberate choices - eg: the guy is higher earning, very attractive or otherwise physically impressive/domineering, etc. And most women aren't bending over backwards for guys that earns less, unless he is miles more attractive comparatively speaking - in which case, hypergamy would be satisfied and she busts her butt for the relationship out of respect for him.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/26 05:46 PM

Do women naturally oppress themselves via hypergamy? Just saw a slop women's-oppression opinion piece talking about how higher earning women do more work around the home, and it's pretty obvious why that is when you consider most women will seek partners that earn more (AKA prestigious, stressful, and/or highly productive jobs requiring longer hours) and have less time to help out; but the article made no mention of this. So tiresome.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/26 04:31 PM

The kicker is that most women don't like guys who have to put in a lot of effort, and consequently these women are often seen going for men that have to put in very little effort. Dread game isn't hot-cold/push-pull like you've described. It's something entirely different, where one deliberately instills a sense dread and FOMO in a woman by doing things like hitting on other women, or renting a nice apartment right next to the bar where lots of hot, single women hang out. That's your opinion, but I disagree. All sorts of men will tell tales of digging themselves out of deep depression by starting some new hobby or career, "touching grass," and perhaps quitting an addiction or two. Of course there are tough cases where people absolutely need some kind of therapy, but this go talk about feelings once a week for 30 minutes is half a scam. You don't understand what I'm saying. Men are action-oriented. A man's cure for sadness is getting better through action, like training for a marathon, hitting the gym, learning an instrument, etc. We express emotion in different ways, so the female dominated industry for psychotherapy and counselling is really catered towards women. A good vent every now and then definitely helps a guy, and that's where some good friends come in. Men talk about the thing, not how the thing made them feel.

/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 02:25 AM

It kind of does. Height is a huge determinant in physical presence, and women generally want to feel small with their man. Many women will admit this, and it's kind of blackpilling for shorter guys. Chad isn't just a chiseled jawline and attractive face... it's a vibe.

Have you not been paying attention to the "ick" trend? It's pretty clear that women can lose respect and attraction for a man because of him acting a certain way or doing certain things. A guy could be the most supportive, kind person ever, and of all of those things don't really matter if the respect isn't there because it was lost. Far more "icks" are associated with blue pilled behavior, and that's partially because blue pillers aren't aware of shit tests. Fail a shit test and she loses respe…

This is an important topic that really doesn't get talked about enough. Why do women run back to authoritative men that slap them around? I've seen it enough to be able to say it's a thing. Is it daddy issues or something? We can later ask why some men think it's okay to slap women around, but let's save it for another day.

That's really just sex addiction. And no doubt attractive guys that are really good with women are probably the most addicted to sex per capita. Besides those guys (which is the other 95+% of men), I don't think most guys have a ton of time to think about women like perhaps some led to believe; because life is already so busy as it is.

When men consider the women that use them for foodie dates as options we can have this conversation. It’s the same complaint as women saying men use them for sex. You didn't think this through at all. There's a huge difference. When a guy is a foodie date guy, all he can get is foodie dates. It's literally his only option if he wants to date. When a woman gets used for sex, she's often choosing that particular guy over at least handful of other guys that want a relationship with her and wouldn't…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 11:38 PM

But that doesn't change the fact that a guy in his 30s will likely have more prospects than a guy in his 20s by virtue of age and accumulated wealth. Perhaps that is to say that there are no shortage of quasi-prostitutes who are willing to give intimacy to a man for a decent payday.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 11:32 PM

I'm not sure people are looking at it as the handsome silver fox in most cases. Some maybe. Men age like wine because women want things from men that are earned over time. Not many 20-somethings out there with lots of money, status, AND maturity, but in the mid 30s a guy can definitely be reaching his stride and opening up a wide array of dating options not previously available to him.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 11:30 PM

Because women appreciate a mans maturity, his status and financial position earned over time through hard work, and other things that come primarily with age. Women do care a lot about looks, but most guys definitely do better as they get older; where I'm not sure you could necessarily say the same about women.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 08:48 PM

Women are often the ones to just ghost rather than sending a simple message like "Sorry, the spark isn't there," so do women want men they don't want to be confused and hurt? Hell, some women even let guys orbit for years despite knowing the guys are interested and not having reciprocal interest. All of these stories of brutal reactions to rejection are probably from when women strung along guys far too long despite knowing of their interest and potential intentions.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 08:44 PM

It's pretty hard to find women this down to earth unless you are high-school sweethearts. If she's dated around a bit and tried a couple different guys out, chances are good the video games and pokemon cards will potentially be grounds for disqualification.

Yes, and I think the goal was to draw out a few responses of guys saying "cooks, cleans, sucks dick" so the OP can use it as an example to say all guys think that's what wife material is. It's refreshing to see your take, because I think that's far closer to what the average guy sees wife-material as.

I think the women that will accept a hardcore gamer pales in comparison to women that see it as an ick. People can be different, but patterns still emerge.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 04:24 PM

Women are trying to bait guys into saying "somebody who cooks and cleans and sucks my dick," but this is exactly it - just somebody who fills the ride or die role.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 04:17 PM

The meanings are pretty clear. When you say "chad," lots of guys know exactly what is meant by it; and the same goes for simp and other terms. You tend to have this "that's fake and made up" take to anything guys say here. Furthermore, I think you have it backwards. Women tend to ghost guys who are too interested, and chase the validation of that guy who seems uninterested; which is why advice like wait for her to text, or wait x hours/days before texting back, exists.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 04:09 PM

Women will deny this, but it's so true. One of the best things a guy can have going for him is a reputation as a player. It's intriguing to lots of women, where word travels.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 03:50 PM
5

I think a lot of women know they're getting into something with a player. I've seen real life examples of women getting played by married men that they knew were married going into it, or going for the guy everybody knows is a player - and to no surprise, they got played. It's convenient for women to go "I didn't know and he lovebombed me," but I think, in a lot of cases, they did know and knew exactly what was going to happen. They welcome the chaos and uncertainty for a chance to tame the beas…

Profit incentive? It absolutely makes sense that if you could pay women less for the same work, they would be vastly over-represented; because lower operating costs for the same work would mean more profit. Most teachers and nurses are women because women are overrepresented in HEAL careers because they are innately nurturing. There are a variety of factors that explain why women on average don't earn as much as men do on average, but none of these are because employers can pay women less for th…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 09:15 PM

Paying women less just because has been illegal for like half a century, pudding
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 08:19 PM

Good luck getting women to be honest about that.

Exactly. Every second article about the topic is like: Younger men are falling behind in education, careers, home ownership, etc. Women most affected. They use mens issues as a podium to talk about how it impacts women, completely avoiding any sort of constructive discussion about the specific causes of men falling behind or how men can get back to parity.

I don't think what you're saying is necessarily an absolute, but there is this thing that afflicts nice guys where many are allergic to making fast moves that might make a woman uncomfortable. Nice guys also tend to not call people (especially women) out on their shit, and women truly need a guy capable of this. Douchebags seem more successful because they aren't afraid to make people uncomfortable, so they're more likely to escalate quick and shoot their shot; rather than play the nice guy long…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 05:04 AM

Fair point. More and more men are just resigning to the multiple ex-wives, or sugar-daddy, lifestyle, after all. Both roads can lead to women, but the good looking road at least has something less transactional underneath it all. I suppose if the sugar-daddy gets the women he wants at good deals, then it can be considered a win.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 04:48 AM

Some guys do. Celebrities have a fanclub/groupies. Is the guy getting checked out a lot? that guy has options
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 04:37 AM

If you know, you should at least say something so he has closure. He obviously doesn't have the guts to make the move. It's cruel to lead a guy on like that. He's playing long game, and you know he's not gonna win. Just let him know you guys are just friends, or something along those lines.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 03:41 AM

For some it is, for others it is not. A guy who leads with his wallet and gets a girl that only wants him for his wallet is a loser in the end, but the guy who is or becomes attractive and gets to select from women that like him for who he is (looks and personality) has won.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 03:21 AM

Ding ding ding. I think a decent chunk of red pilled guys are people who got strung along by women that knew the guy wanted them and didn't even have the decency to tell them to just move on. They beat around the bush with shit like "I'll help you dress better" or "you should meet my friend," not realizing the guy is already oneitising and attached.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 02:46 AM

But have you picked up on his crush and told him you don't have feelings for him? Give him the common courtesy of telling him to stop trying and move on.

Try to make her laugh isn't good advice for most men, because then they become clowns. The reality is that she'll find any reason to laugh at even the dumbest joke if she finds the guy attractive. The explicit message in that comic (funny is sexy) is completely obfuscating the implicit reality that laughter is an attraction indicator.

That is to say: when I get the chance to share or show off some subtle detail where a woman might think "who the fuck is this guy?" in a curious and intrigued way, I don't hold back.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 01:43 AM

I kind of agree, but I think there are cases where it could actually be a good sign early on if she's been developing and learning to not be as clingy - which might happen if she really likes you and doesn't want to scare you off. If she is kind of clingy in general, she will get clingier over time. It all depends on the specifics, but I would not make this an instant write-off unless she already has 2 strikes.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 01:37 AM

This was my first thought, but there are absolutely not enough women that have the common courtesy to do this. Is it because orbiters are just way too useful while they play the long game?

Men are far more ridiculed and criticized for thinking with their little heads than women are. Woman falls in love with and marries a handsome dirtbag that abuses her - the guy is far more likely to receive full blame. Man falls in love with and marries a hot psycho that abuses him - the guy is far more likely to receive full blame.

I think he's actually hinting at the need to curb women getting with shitty men in the first place
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 08:53 PM

Because if women actually punished, or disapproved of, shitty behavior, deadbeat types, abusive assholes, etc. wouldn't be nearly as sexually successful as they are; and conversely, good men (like women claim to want) would be fighting women off with a stick... In reality, good men are majorly the ones left to sift through the scraps that dirtbags left behind - when it should be the other way around if you take women for their word. The numbers really speak to how women, in a sense, enable shitt…

Women only "glorify" stepdads in the sense that they think they are good boys (like a dog) that give them assurance that someone will always be there to pick up the pieces. Most men are somewhere between indifferent and pitying when it comes to stepfathers. If a guy wants to pay a premium to be the guy that picks up the pieces and deal with the baggage, then that's his choice. Couldn't be me.

I'm not exactly sure it's all about avoiding confrontation. I think there's at least a small element of "if he can't learn because I don't tell him why, he'll stay exactly where he is in case I might need to call on him some day." Nothing seems to bruise a woman's ego more than seeing a guy she thought was obsessed with her (and would stick around forever) move on.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 08:00 PM

From "no" to "no shit dude." Yeah, I'll pass on giving you an example.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 07:54 PM

Thanks for agreeing with me that it's entirely possible for people hurt by an individual to generalize the overall population. Do you have an example? Why would I provide an example when you've already shown such dismissiveness to a previous anecdote?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 06:25 PM

Psychopaths only represent a tiny portion of the overall population, so I think there's more to it than just they mask their dark-triad nature well. There are pretty sound hypotheses and data suggesting that women actually do select for dark-triad (and adjacent) traits and behaviors. I think it's a case of "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." If we don't hold women at least somewhat accountable for choosing bad men (especially repeat cases), they'll never feel responsible an…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 06:09 PM

Yes, I do blame them; because they are more likely to get the life-lesson out of the mistake, where that lesson might be lost if they are made to feel like they aren't accountable for their fuck-up.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 05:54 PM

I'm not so sure about that. I've seen several women get really hateful and untrusting towards men in general after a bad experience with a player, and there's a somewhat common topic in pill discussions about how the monogamous provider-guy is punished for the actions of the womanizer.

I think most bluepilled relationships are actually unhealthy. They generally involve the guy not standing up for himself, bending to the woman's whims and nagging, and lots of shit testing that will lead to loss of attraction and respect. No. I said approaching (which is I think what you're talking about when you mention "saying hi") can be considered a hoop in specific contexts. You're just trying to see what you want to see and ignoring the rest. Textbook confirmation bias.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 06:04 PM
7

This comment hits the nail on the head, so it's really not surprising that someone broke rule 2 in a reply. The gist of the jumping through hoops conversation, as it relates to dating and intimacy, is that some guys have to do things that other guys don't in order to get into intimate relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 06:02 PM
2

If by saying hi you actually mean approaching (and I think you do), then perhaps it could be argued that is a hoop; especially if she approaches the men she wants to hook up with on the short-term but makes long-term options approach her.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 05:49 PM
0

I personally don't think that saying hi or having a conversation is a hoop to jump through, because it's just a basic part of social interaction that everybody has to do. Hoops to jump through are things that some guys have to do before intimacy and others don't. Short term guy gets the benefits of intimacy without the personal investment the long term guy must put in, so the long term guy has to "jump through hoops."
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 05:09 PM
1

It depends. If the woman is doing a mix of short term and long term when it comes to romance and intimacy, then guys who fall in the long-term camp might feel like they've been given the shit end of the stick when they have to invest way more than the guys the woman is seeing in the short-term.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 04:53 PM
0

Jumping through hoops comes from how women run short and long term strategy depending on the guy. If the guy is short term (attractive but maybe a loser/broke/stupid) he doesn't have to do anything and instantly he's getting all of the benefits of a sexual/intimate relationship, but the long-term guys need to "prove themselves" in a variety of ways in order to get the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 04:45 PM
12

There's lots of concern around teenage boys and how they are potentially interacting or being influenced by the manosphere, and people in general have way more compassion for youths than they do adults - especially male.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 04:19 PM
8

Most women here aren't here to engage, or to "question what they believe." They're simply here to "punch down," and shame any man who is critical or jaded because of his experiences with women. This is actually a very good Q4M to demonstrate how little women care about what men think, because look who is the only woman actually getting involved in the comment section - hint: it's the OP.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 03:43 PM
11

Getting women is a competitive thing, so of course it's winning amongst your fellow man to have good results; but a lot of guys definitely take shortcuts. Being a player is a basically low-key sex addiction with some other social song and dance going on. The real question is, how much should you base your life around this one competition? Especially if, for some, the reward really doesn't seem worth the effort required.

Women hate how true this is. They'd like to believe the red pill is pushed on men inorganically, but the truth for most guys is that women push them to the red pill organically - and the red pill just has words to put to those taboo thoughts about women.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 03:44 PM
2

Can't disagree. We just need to accept that love usually isn't permanent, and perhaps not even guaranteed, and adjust to this new acceptance. There are things that can be done so women start to see their similars as more attractive, but things right now are a bit skewed towards women having too many physically attractive options during the sexually free younger years - but not quite "marriage material."

I think the WAWE is obvious with the sheer difference in double standards between the genders. I think there's definitely something to how women need to step into a more masculine mindset to date a feminine guy. They don't necessarily do masculinity right, and sometimes interpret it as being bossy or cruel; but they at least try to fill this gap that is left by the guy not being the masculine yang to her feminine yin.

Sometimes you have to make personal sacrifices for the sake of your career. The silver lining is that you're getting the experience that somebody else isn't. Guys with options are going to be the ones where at least one of those options may be an upgrade from the woman he might cheat on. Something tells me (perhaps common sense) that a guy without options is going to have a much harder time cheating. Most people cheat because some better option has come along - and that right there is the implication - cheating comes down to options.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 07:10 PM

All? No. But if you want to talk about scenarios of why men cheat, then let's discuss. It depends on if the relationship has become less (or the total opposite) of what he has signed on for. If his current partner has become mean, disrespectful, combative, and has turned off the sex taps, then that nice girl who wants to get intimate looks like a valid and welcomed exit strategy - so the man might cheat in that scenario. I think a lot of men's cheating comes down to relationships degrading and g…

Part of the reason why the red pill has become such a force is because women are often socially pressured into taking positions or saying things they don't actually believe. Examples include women that say they want intelligent men but date idiots, or women that say money doesn't matter but then choose to stay single or casual-only because of a lack of financially viable men in their dating pool.

Regular sex is an added benefit, but I wouldn't say it's the primary motivation for average guys who are just happy to have some female attention on an unreliable basis. Also, you do know men can desire more than just sex from women... right? If anyone believes men just want sex, I think it says a lot about the kind of men they're going for.

It's that one (or several) attractive guy(s) everyone generally has some version of in their life, and never lacks the attention of women. Remember that one nurse who was killing babies? Or the women who chop their husband/boyfriends dicks off in the middle of the night? Or women mass shooters? Perhaps the women knowingly committing paternity fraud? You do know I can also cherrypick a bunch of examples of women being extremely evil, but extreme examples of heinous individuals don't make for good generalizations of an entire population.

I love all these articles with titles like "I got my dream job right out of university by doing this," or "I got promoted x times in my first y years at my company. Here's how;" and they're all written by women. The reality is that all of these articles are word salad that NEVER mention DEI, the true enabler of women making massive career moves and getting prioritized over men for jobs and promotions. Women get a lot of these benefits and career mobility just for being women; there's no special …

Have you seen current men? You know, the soft, pacified, women-worshipping schmucks that comprise a majority of the male population these days? I'm pretty sure men have toned things down a lot from the men of history you're mentioning.

Men who don't approach aren't flawed. The only way they really could be is if you consider listening to and respecting women's concerns a flaw. Don't forget that women for decades have been parroting the idea that men disturbing women in any way is tantamount to sexual harassment, thus it is off limits. That is to say: Because a potential outcome of approaching is disturbing the woman if she isn't receptive, most guys just won't approach... They'll wait for someone or some thing to bridge the ga…

Sex before marriage is only a standard of cultures where sexual purity is viewed as virtuous and desirable. If your honest solution is women shouldn't have sex until marriage or engagement, I'd like to ask where you got the time machine that allows you to live in the 1950s? The cat is out of the bag, and it's not going back in.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 04:53 PM

Bingo. The question OP is probably really asking is "do men take advantage of vulnerable women?" Like always, the answer is most guys don't; and the small subset of the male population that does is not in any way representative of the general male population.

All else being equal, studies show that higher IQ actually has a negative correlation with mating success. Red pill isn't prescriptive, but you're treating it as such. At it's core it's just an acknowledgement that the reality of dating and women's preferences are quite different to mainstream discourse. For example: "Women want intelligent men," yet there are studies correlating lower IQs to dating success; and low IQ men are some of the most reproductively successful. Idiocracy is a prophecy.

I think I stand for 80-90% of men in saying this: paying for sex work is seriously low. Sure, most relationships are quasi-prostitution; but at least there's the illusion of love and a future together.

Women here very often play "well what about this uncommon issue some women face" boogeyman trump card as a means to derail a conversation about some issue men at large struggle with. For example, mid discussion some woman appears out of nowhere to say "YOU WANT WOMEN TO BE FORCED INTO RELATIONSHIPS THEY DON'T WANT TO BE IN" and put a whole bunch of other words in my mouth. I wouldn't say that's necessarily true. Players get with a surprisingly wide array of women. From the outgoing party girl, to the mousey library type just getting out of a long term relationship; they never lack.

This is the main point. A woman's peak is in her 20s, because that's when she stands the highest chance of securing a man that can help her climb the most rungs on the socioeconomic ladder. A man in his 30s is at his peak, because that is where he is most likely to be able to appeal to the widest range of women.

One of the more common themes I see from women here is an outright refusal to agree with any take from most men. The post or comment could be completely free from dick-head language and faulty accusations or assumptions, but most women on PPD see man (especially red pill man) in a flair and it just triggers that "nuh-uh!" mindset. The thing is that nobody is making these tests harder, and nobody will until it is accepted that lowering standards to support DEI is a plague of mediocrity. I've had to turn movies off before because they put some tiny, pretty woman in some ultra-dangerous, high-stress role. I don't think women are lining up to take on frontline roles like we are led to believe. Many women who go into these roles just want the prestige and/or power of being a firefighter or cop without the actual danger and stress.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 09:35 PM

I think the best way to overcome the friend zone is by having other women show interest. Sometimes a woman won't be interested in a guy until she actively sees him receiving romantic interest from other women and feels she might miss out. The issue is that most guys who are "stuck" in the friend zone only have eyes for that specific woman, and won't entertain interest from other women; or won't use it to their advantage.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 09:23 PM

When it comes to the friend zone, there are a few important distinctions to make... When a guy gets rejected and stays a woman's friend but removes any hope that things change, that's not the friend zone. When a guy gets rejected and stays a woman's friend hoping she changes her mind, that's the friend zone. When a guy acts like a woman's friend hoping for an opportunity to come up without ever making a move, that's the sneaky-fucker zone. The first one is fine, where the other two can pose some…

Women desire men of prowess. So many women will knowingly commit to extremely casual relationships with those men for a chance that the guy ends up picking her, and it's ludicrous to say the average single or adulterous woman wouldn't take her spin of the wheel that is a well established guy that is in a womanizing phase. They'll even let you grab em right by the pussy.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 12:19 AM

Not really... Simps and white knights enable the shittiest of women to be absolute menaces - simply by rewarding and/or never punishing bad behavior. When a person always gets their way despite being anti-social (and never being punished for poor behavior), what incentive is there to be pro-social?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 09:46 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 07:08 PM

It's lip service. Now that casual sex is starting to swing back to being taboo again, you'll see women en masse change their tone about it; even the women who were having the most casual sex in the past decade. Women will just say what they think the social collective wants them to say.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 05:22 PM

Rewarding pro-social behaviors and punishing anti-social behaviors is the bedrock of a functioning, high-trust civilization. Flip the dynamic and you get erosion of the social contract. You get good men saying "Fuck it. Why shouldn't I be a selfish asshole? It seems to work just fine for them."

That must have sounded good in your head, but you'd be quite surprised by reality

Men don't have to commit anymore. Marriage is dying, family formation is increasingly cost prohibitive... A guy who can get casual sex can get everything short of a marriage and family from an FWB arrangement, and women willingly go along with this. It's up to women to stop entertaining the arrangement where they give "commitment-phobes" all of the things they should be reserving for the guy who actually commits.

Women are absolutely not encouraging men to not be simps. You actually tend to see quite strong reactions from women towards those with anti-simp talking points, and that's because women know (and love) that simps are basically pussy worshippers that afford them favors in the form of free stuff, labor/chores, etc. Men having to learn this obfuscated truth the hard way is a big part of why red pill is even a thing.

Women are valued for their fertility, where men are valued for the lifestyle and status they build over the years. If you think men and women are valued for the exact same things, I can see why you're confused. You could be the most interesting women in the world and think that's of value to men, but if you can't have kids due to age: a lot of guys won't see the self-prescribed value you think you have.

Men are being blamed for the birth rate crisis exactly because lower access to sex is forcing them to follow different life paths than the average man of previous generations. You constantly see articles shitting on men for being behind and choosing video games over going out without ever considering the WHY men are behind and don't try for romance.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 08:17 PM

This is only because men are being blamed for low birth rates, like they're blamed for so many other things that aren't their fault and somehow "women most affected." A guy who isn't prioritizing a family, for whatever personal reason, is seen as a loser, and a woman who isn't prioritizing a family, again for any personal reason, is a hero.

It's je na sais qoui. You can't describe it. Everybody has their personality ideals they seek in a partner, and they are pretty tightly defined to fit into how they view their own personality. In some cases, opposites in some traits complete things; in others, sameness is more desirable. In other words: what is desirable in a personality is very personal.

I'm sorry for having the slightest bit of sympathy for a guy who was for some reason inclined to stab a woman 40 times because she said no. I'm not saying it's fine, but there's more to it than that. It's an extreme situation with underlying circumstances, put presented as some "random" thing women should worry about with all men. We have no idea if this woman was madly abusive towards a mentally ill guy, perhaps even contributing to his illness - which perhaps inspired such a heinous attack.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 02:46 AM

What he's actually saying is that the promiscuity and sexual openness of the overly visible gay community is where they receive a lot of flak, whereas promiscuity and sexual openness of women is largely accepted - and, in a lot of ways: encouraged, if not encouragable.

Mando needs to find his role as a lead. Phenomenal actor.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 02:06 AM

There's certainly far more to it than that. A guy doesn't approach a woman and stab her nearly to death because he gets rejected. A mentally ill guy thinks he has a chance with a "friend" and gets strung along and eventually snaps - nearly killing someone. I'm curious to know more about his side instead of just assuming this was some regular guy overreacting to a very basic regular rejection. I'm not excusing the guy, but I'm not excusing the girl either. Women absolutely pick up on the signals,…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 01:57 AM

I'll ask the controversial question... how badly did she string him along and what was his history with abuse and mental illness?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 01:52 AM

The average guy's experience is seeing the hot assholes clean up with women, so I'm not really sure what the fuck your point, or the legitimacy of it, is. This is pretty much 90% of why guys get red pilled... and yes: I did pull that stat out of my ass.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 01:43 AM

Women definitely separate men into tidy, clearly defined boxes, doing things like qualifying guys based on their jobs, looks, or lifestyles when talking to their friends... at least from what I've experienced when I've heard women talk about prospects with one another. For example: a woman will be chatting with her friend, and instead of "Alan" or "Eric," it's "the doctor," "the Sales Manager," some chad-like petname like "the hunk" or "handsome-pants," etc.,... anything but a first name. I don't have a problem with women having preferences. What I do have a problem with is women becoming more demanding with their preferences as they age and their fertility wanes. For example: a woman in her 20s could have dated a pro athlete, a successful businessman, a male model, etc. In her 30s she expects a guy to be a male model who is also a successful businessman and pro athlete.

I'm not sure if this is quite what were talking about, but most double standards are favorable for women. The double standard that I'm referring to here is that women CAN make sweeping generalizations and men CAN'T. It's the resul…

That's because most women casually use sex to try to shoot in the big leagues, whereas most men don't become big leaguers that can have casual. For younger women, those big leaguers end up being the most attractive and popular people; and with age it becomes more about status and wealth, but attraction helps.

Polygamy often gets brought up because it is one of the most surefire ways to make many women feel raw lust. When they have to compete for your time and attention against other women, they get ultra competitive and highly emotional; and strong emotions are how women become wildly attached. Women want what other women have, AKA Pre-selection, and men want women that want to rip their clothes off out of pure sexual desire. It's not a red pill tenet that you have to be a plate-spinning womanizer, b…

Spot on. Women want a man that displays initiative, and an approach is the best first impression you can make if she already finds you attractive and is signalling approachability.

Women making the first move is an extremely new thing, and most of them don't want to be with a guy who can't make a move and go for what he wants. More commonly, they seem to create situations where they can catch your attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/26 01:22 AM

Women want egalitarianism like I want a supermodel girlfriend. In my head, it sounds awesome because she's hot and trendy (like the idea of equality); but in practice it ends up being not exactly what I signed up for.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/26 01:15 AM

It sounds good in your head, but in practice: not really... The average man spends way more time single and racks up way fewer partners than the average woman. Womanizers definitely don't stick to just promiscuous women. They find easy marks, just like man-eaters. They break up a lot of families, or taint younger women with sweet lies. It's kind of sad when you look at it a bit closer instead of just-world-ing it.

You're the one asking for stats and data, and you also say we're not talking about averages? Averages are the basis of stats and data. Over a large enough sample size, trends become obvious. Any guy can tell you the average woman has more sex and sexual partners than the average man... come off of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/26 12:31 AM

You think the average guy is having more sex/sexual partners than the average woman? Even the most wool-over-their-eyes blue pillers can admit that isn't the case. Any study or data suggesting otherwise is definitely rife with sampling errors and hidden agendas.

Feminism was entirely based on generalizations about how men treated women in society at large, or at least it used those generalizations to grow to the size it is. Were some of those generalizations true? Yes. Are some of the generalizations red pillers make about how women treat men true? I'd say so.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/26 03:51 PM

The same could be said about feminism, and I didn't see any pushback (especially not from women) when men were generalized to all be the r-word (false and hyperbolic), dogs (dehumanizing), and the like. If feminism wasn't allowed to proceed with unfettered misandry and generalizations against men, I think things would be different; but here we are. Kinda sucks when the pendulum swings the other way, doesn't it?

I've found the easiest, most natural female friendships are where the woman is already married or is totally not my type (zero physical /sexual tension). But are you going out of your way to hang out individually with these people, or are they just your acquaintances you see occasionally through other friends or work, social events, and such? And do you refer to one of these married women as your friend, or your "buddy's wife" or "a woman I work with?" That will tell you everything you need to k…

You're missing the bigger picture. The very idea that there is a growing number of men aren't being as social, and living their lives online is being conflated with this idea that there's a different group of isolated, disillusioned, potentially dangerous men. Can you see the issue when you start to group unrelated groups of men together as this boogey-man of a "lonely male epidemic" threat to civil order?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 03:53 AM

I think everyone is fairly privy to the idea that social isolation is not good long term, but they aren't talking about the "angry isolated male epidemic..." are they? My point is: I have to make too many compromises to really be able to bond with a woman on a friendship level outside of the context of a relationship, unless, of course, she is naturally a woman who shares my male interests.

It's because the terminally online women behind posts like these are obsessed with proving all of these in*els and manosphere bros saying "men and women can't be friends" wrong. Some people just have a flirt-with-the-world type of personality, and this personality is often seen in womanizers or ladies-men. Nope. Zillennials (the youngest third[ish] of the millennials) were in high-school when all of the technologies we blame for the current dating predicament were reaching their golden age - eg: internet, smartphones, social media, gaming, porn. This isn't necessarily a generational argument, at least not as it relates to PPD. What matters is how young you had access to digital technologies that changed the face of how we interact and communicate with one another.

The meme is that women throw around in*el, and other sex-related shaming language, as an insult because sex is the only unit of value they understand. Young love, not necessarily teenage love, is the most real form of love, where both parties are idealistic and optimistic, naive, most open to new people and experiences, and non-jaded. The more partners a person has had, the harder it will be to form that strong bond like what materialized almost immediately with that first love experience.

I believe the saying is "a man would fuck a hole in the wall if it was wet enough." Most guys would be fine with a person of similar looks, yet ugly women are in at least some numbers holding out for men 4-6 points higher than them. That is the entire premise of FA: A 5 or less who doesn't want to date a 5 and has made an identity of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 01:38 AM

You're laying down some interested ideas, but failing to identify the main point. Men are raised to be soft pushovers, and these men often take what they can get... slave mentality, basically. If you think men being conditioned to be submissive, non-confrontational worker drones in some regards poses a problem, then I agree with you. These mens are the means, not the ends; so it makes sense that they get abused by the most opportunistic women.

A lot of the time a guy can't really offer an interesting, well-funded, and stable lifestyle to a women until he's significantly older, and chances are good he's not gonna reward a 30 year old with said lifestyle when a 20 year old also really wants it. The 3 year age gap average equates to that women are generally dating men that are older. Obviously, YMMV; so don't let solipsism with regards to you and your social circle someho…

Most guys become bad because of a woman. It's women that teach them the shit that women end up complaining about - manipulation, emotional abuse, etc. But even though these women complain, they just keep going for these "bad guys." It's almost like women like guys who are better at playing people than they are.

This assumes love doesn't have a shelf life. Unfortunately, it does. Harder than heck to keep a marriage or relationship going after the honeymoon period, and good bloody luck convincing a person with a significant "past" to stay after the love fades. That isn't to say that the friendship can't last and keep the relationship going, but that begs the question: is it not the friendship that is truly transformative? Love just helps two people who are otherwise diametrically different form a friends…

But there are certain things they won't ever study or publish because these studies will make men look good and women look bad. Kind of like this sort of reverse-patriarchy. Feminists say society is built to serve the needs of men while oppressing women, where gynocentrism is an idea where society currently functions to serve the needs of women at a cost to men - which you absolutely see with preferentialism towards women, effectively disqualifying equally qualified men on a discriminatory basis. I think men have always worked to serve the needs of women so the population can grow, but in the past the patriarchy has over…

The 50s? That was something that's been pretty "promised," or at least expected of men to strive to achieve, right up until a bit under a decade ago when men started to realize and be vocal about how unattainable it is in comparison to how easy it's made to seem.

I'm starting to think that the human psyche is just addicted to ideology. Whatever the ideology is, there just seems to be that need for an idealogical structure; and women threw traditional religious ideology away partly to embrace a new ideology: feminism. It's totally within reason to call it a quasi-cuckoldry, but it's not literal cuckoldry. Quasi because you know you are raising another man's kids, rather than not knowing as she commits paternity fraud like you see with the cuckoo bird. Cucking is quite literally unknowingly raising the offspring of a different male. https://np.reddit.com/r/etymology/comments/e94qsn/any_link_between_cuck_and_cuckoo_bird_name/ A lion comes in and kills all of the offspring of the previous pride leader, etc. It's…

In this clip a woman has been feeling so neglected by men in public that she suggests bringing cat calling back. She even walked past a construction site... Silence. Wait a minute... Women got what they wanted, and this is a problem? Quotas. They needlessly increase the competition between men for what few remaining spots are left after the quota to elevate women is met. Tons of men are left behind so women can succeed. Mens needs are basically to satisfy hypergamy through hard work and merit, and that's nigh on impossible if society inorganically holds men back to ensure women succeed. You see this in education, white collar careers (hell, even blue collar now), etc. Lots of men realize it's a waste of effort to even try pl…

That book and the author are misguided. While there are some interesting topics in Of Boys And Men, Reeves and many other MRA-adjacent men that the media is giving air-time to right now are approved authorities because they keep pushing the idea that women's ascension/success does not come at a cost to men - that is to say they are refusing to acknowledge a central part of why young men are failing while young women are doing laps around men. Plus, Reeve's "solutions" for the men failing problem…

that’s why my dad ended up getting 2 women pregnant Sounds like being an aloof deadbeat worked for him. Sorry to hear it had an impact on your upbringing, but it's women that enable the behavior. Until women stop prioritizing dickheads for passionate relationships and children, you're going to see men carrying themselves in this manner.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/25 05:35 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/25 05:13 PM

You missed the quiet part that they don't say out loud... They "just want a man who is good" who also has great capacity to do physical damage if and when he wants to. Murderers and violent thugs get lots of sexual attention because they are pre-selected on the notion of being capable of physical damage, which is an unconscious desire that women seek out for the protection of the offspring. I don't make the rules, I just make observations.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/25 05:09 PM

Basically being self centered and not actually giving a fuck about others is the viable way I sense your sarcasm, but honestly this is the way of carrying yourself that will get better results than being the type of guy that is selfless and gives too many fucks - perhaps not in a qualitative sense, but aloof and self-centred will quantitatively always work out better.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with a genuine compliment, not even just to women. Jackets are an investment and fashion statement. I've always fawned over compliments on any of my jackets.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/25 05:54 AM

I picked up on the sarcasm, but I think what the OP is referring to is the try-hard level of care some guys will put in early on. He's talking being overly decent and egregiously humanitarian to one person on the basis that it might evolve into a relationship. Most men have to learn the hard way that this is not a good approach, and an advanced level of caring comes when she's earned it.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/25 05:47 AM

Short term, I think caring is seen as a bit too beta of a trait; so it's best to start really low and slowly increase the dosage, as it's 100% required for a long term relationship. In general it seems the more giving you are to a woman early on is actually more likely to be seen as unattractive desperation. That is to say it isn't manipulation, but actually a sign that a guy can be manipulated; if she isn't downright repulsed by the over-caring nature up-front.

You realize patriarchy is dead right? At least in the sense that you're just getting mad at the echoes of patriarchy, which was thrown into the proverbial well by the notion that society will operate better if women are allowed to act as men. This "patriarchy" you're raging about is actually just the modern demands of women, reinforced almost solely by women. It is women echoing what patriarchy used to purport, which is that men need to be men so women can be women.

I mean, sure; but it is you that must accept that the guys who can fulfill your desires are often cut from a different cloth than that of which men who would make good husbands come from. Yes, a guy who has time to listen intently and enrich her life in the way she claims to want is not spending enough time focusing on his passions - he stops living for himself and his purpose, which is one of the qualities that seems highly attractive to women. I take everything women claim to want from men with a grain of salt, because quite often it's just virtue-signalling (saying what sounds good) that isn't actually reflected by reality.

You just mentioned one of the central issues: Any complaint or criticism of ANY woman is instantly seen as misogyny. While this mindset exists, it is basically like women don't want to even consider coming to the bargaining table; and that we just need to "shut up accept them exactly as they are." Could men do a better job at delivering this criticism? Absolutely. Should men sugar-coat the criticism? Hell no.

I wonder what the tipping point will be where this gets seriously talked about in the mainstream. When men start burning the village just to feel some of the warmth the tribe doesn't offer them. Women's standards are only reasonable if they are fine with the men that don't meet them doing their own thing that doesn't involve women or dating/relationships, but that's where the problem lies - women have these high standards, but still expect the guys that will never meet them to bend over backwards to "try" to meet them; and some women get very vocal about these men "walking away." Having role models feels so adolescent. You're just playing yourself with a mindset like this. Basically every highly successful inventor, philosopher, etc. had a mentor/role-model, even as adults. I'm red pilled, but this whole "psychology is dumb and men shouldn't get therapy" schtick is getting tired

But at the same time, women often treat Chad too good and directly expose him to their fickleness. For example, think of a Chad in an office setting with lots of women... how often do you think married women are making advances or trying to get his attention and validation? Think of how jaded you would become if you observed concerning lack of loyalty in the women around you. And it doesn't even have to be about sex... some women emotionally cheat (like with a Chad at the office) well before the…

Chad Jr. was the one which shat all over Katie, by spreading her nudes, but he doesn't get shit for that. See, I don't get why the show doesn't use this as the central plot element. Women (of all ages) are the ones consuming this show, so why not cater the message around not falling under Chad's spell and allowing oneself to be used and abused? Instead, they focused on "red pill and incels bad" while completely ignoring why the red pill and incels even exist - because Chad gets all the action an…

So because children have a non-zero chance of being involved in a tragedy, we should normalize indecent exposure? What kind of logic is this? That's like saying a kid can obtain fentanyl and other drugs on the street, therefore we should lower the drinking age.

That's a really good take, but I absolutely think there is a certain level of ego a guy does need; though it can't be all bark with no bite. High self-confidence that is attractive to women usually comes with some sort of egotism.

If you are open to the idea of hypergamy (one of the pillars of red pill thought), surely you can see what a disaster it has been to discriminate against men to prop women up as a whole in all avenues of education and career - most specifically in white collar careers. Women have been skewed in a direction that they on average are better than average men, so think of how far above average a guy has to be to be better than his average looks equivalent - that's a lot of averages! Then you add in t…

I'm not sure what your point is... Is it that an ego is bad? because an ego isn't something that makes a guy less attractive to a woman. In fact, an huge ego is often seen as high confidence/arrogance; so it can actually be an attractive quality for men to exude around women. Good luck trying to convince men that women hate an ego, when we all watched the guys with the biggest egos score the most in high school and college.

Hell, plenty of divorced dad's manage to find love, too. This isn't the gotcha you think it is, especially when you consider that women flock to pre-selected men. There's a weird psychology at play when it comes to pre-selection, and I can almost guarantee a divorced man with a trash personality (whose ex-wife was right to leave) will have more luck and success at dating than a guy who is the same age with a better personality but without a previous marriage behind him.

Equilibrium. All complex systems move toward equilibrium. And what I mean by this is: Eventually women will realize that having all of these options and exercising them is spoiling their appetite for the men that would make for good husbands. Stuffing your face with sweets (casual hookups, situationships) might feel good in the moment, but in due time they will realize why boring healthy food (dating with the express purpose of finding a husband) is a way better long-term option. I pin this need…

I don't think these matter much at all if she sees some other major benefit in being with him on a longer term (like money), but the average guy without F-U money should be a good partner yes - he's the most susceptible to a woman running off for a good dicking by chad from the office.

Why is he marrying her and then whining about no spark? Because women will often front-load sex in relationships only to drastically pull back once they secure what they want (marriage, etc). At the start of the relationship, she fooled him into thinking the spark was there with lots of passionate, enthusiastic sex; and he got played. I see this dynamic play out an uncomfortable majority of the time.

has a past of being alone and never finding a relationship before you (which comes with its own baggage) I always just assume this type of woman was a Harem Harpy for various Chads and is completely unsalvageable.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/25 03:53 PM

Women love to pretend the men they want intensely passionate sexual relationships with are the same men they want long term stability and relatioship security from, and most men observe this is not true.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/25 03:15 PM

If you take into account the entire global male population. But, if you isolate for certain populations the average differs; and if you look at the specific subset of men getting the most sex, you'll probably see that the dicks women return to are definitely longer and girthier than the global average.

Your first mistake was failing to acknowledge the AF/BB dichotomy. The requirement for BB is that he makes as much or more (which usually means college education), while AF can work in a lumberyard for mimumum wage and still have casual relationships (that might turn serious [think sugarmomma]) with doctors and other high-earning women. Women generally aren't entertaining these two types of men at the same time, but will line up potential BBs while she is still "having her fun."
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 02:15 AM

Even if 2 was true, how does that invalidate or disprove what I stated? One random man didn't innovate, therefore no men innovate? What kind of logic is that? Seems to me like you have no rebuttal and just want to edge towards personal attacks, which is kind of proving my point that women rely heavily on approval of the group - hence why they'll try to character assassinate

Anyone who feels that social engineering SHOULD be used to steer society towards what THEY feel society SHOULD be is an egomaniac and needs to have their views completely disregarded. Right... Lets just give the crazies the keys to the asylum then. If you do nothing to curb any of the degeneracy that is eroding the social fabric, you're making a far greater mistake than letting people do as they please without social repercussions.

In this case, it is simpish kindness that is seen as weak. You know, where a guy will treat a girl he just met to an expensive dinner and flowers. What women seem to want is a guy who has the ability to be both an asshole and kind. So long as she is generally the person receiving the kindness, it's far from seen as a weakness. She won't mind coffee or drinks for the first date, cause that's all he'll give her; and unless she's really asking for the mean treatment, he's generally good to her in a…

I think this policing happens because of the damage by opportunistic women if he is too kind while also lacking in spinal fortitude. What society finds weak (overbearing kindness to the most exploitable level in this example) can easily be said to be seen as weak by women.

It's not individual-individual shaming that matters in this discussion, but the view of the group. You don't seem to be looking at it as such. Women lean heavily on the approval of the group, where men have classically been the trend-setting type that doesn't seek approval of the tribe at large. Women are actually probably the best vector for social engineering because of this, and social-engineering doesn't necessarily have to be a deliberate and/or negative thing... I think it was a net negati…

Women lag in certain professions, paticularly [...] leadership roles Would you say this is more of a social construct, or is there some biology in this where women naturally follow strong male leadership without wanting to usurp it?

I'm not sure you can say men are more competitive, as women compete against eachother in much more covert and nefarious ways than just physical or status-based dominance. What I will also say is that women tend to be more neurotic about having the best - ie: best partner, best outfit at the party, best lifestyle... they're so much more competitive underneath the surface, but for some reason we choose to focus on aggression (specifically male) as the only metric of competitiveness - and then say …

That account is ragebait through and through. Disagree. Even the most masculine, chauvinistic men will get worn down over time in a relationship, especially if kids come along. It's a subconscious desire that all women seem to have, which is to tame (emasculate) the beast. If a woman is consciously trying to emasculate a guy, it will probably work well because she is aware she is doing it and she can dial in the manipulation to specifically produce the desired effect.

Most of them are "men are checking out, women most affected" Like, the male check-out problem just has to be analyzed from the angle of how it impacts women; rather than doing men any service and analyzing what issues men face that are leading them to check out as they are.

Right, but it's not idiotic to feel some sort of cringey feeling when a guy you really like does something you don't agree with him doing as a man; whether it's too weak or feminine (like ordering some 15$ dessert), or whatever. They want to have their cake and eat it too. They want the hot and passionate sex with chad, but also want the rich simp who will stay to raise a family. They want this because their 20s and 30s have basically been spent qualifying men into the alpha and beta camps - it's muscle memory at this point to see men as useful in one of two ways.

Does a bit autistic mean "unconventional with respect to social norms?" I see a lot of people claiming autism when in reality they are just a bit underdeveloped socially. Women often choose poorly socially calibrated guys, if you accept that women love bad boys.

Because she doesn't know you, doesn't want to talk to you, and has other things to do. You say this, but I don't think you realize how many women have had their days ruined because they wanted some guy to approach them in the grocery store but he thought "I shouldn't bother her, she's just here to get groceries." You're perpetuating a false perception that is harming both men and women.

I'm not sure that anyone is really arguing the mandatory nature of dating apps. In fact, anyone who is quite authoritarian about how people should date or view the opposite sex is generally dismissed by most people. What I more commonly see with dating apps is women writing them off as shallow and dismissing any and all data that comes from them as such. Don't agree with the OKCupid attraction statistics where women rate most men as below average? Well then, just call dating apps shallow, etc., …
