Says the man that can't be bothered to do a basic literature review using free googled scholar and actually learn about a topic.

So Science and logic is where you diverge from feminists? Also arrogance and entitlement are believed to make up for a huge part of the wage gap that still exists. Men apply for jobs they aren't qualified for (arrogant) and negotiate hard for pay and salary increases (entitlement)... So we actually do reward those traits we just call them "self confidence" for men.

Why don't you read something to help explain how women are Infact often mislabeled as bossy. Hence why this woman made this campaign in the first place. https://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C5&q=bossy+women+in+the+workplace&oq=bossy+women#d=gs_qabs&u=%23p%3DHJwx7ZdFp3UJ

I'm going with because he was the CEO of a business that they grew and sold for $1Bn. Now I know this sounds crazy, but start ups are hard, growing a consumer business is hard, successfully scaling a company to be worth $1Bn isn't something that a push over can accomplish. Also once they sold the company, they were each worth hundreds of millions independently. That was 6 years ago. They could have separated at any point in time since then. Yet, they are still together. So he isn't weak, he has …

I simply was countering the statement that she couldn't find a man to "deal with her". She did, and they started a business, and that business made them epically rich together, and after all that they are still together even after her husband could replace her with someone less "bossy"...

I mean she is a successful business woman (read rich) and happily married. Pretty sure she is killing it. Just wanted to add her company that she founded with her husband sold for $1Bn.... So she isn't sorta rich, she is like crazy rich.

I also grew up pretty poor myself, I out earned my parents really early on in my career, which was initially akward but now is just what it is. There is a book called David vs Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell you should read. It is about how disadvantage can actually become an advantage. It really helped me with perspective. It sounds like you are in a good place. If you are trying to figure out what is next, I suggest you just start asking interesting people to coffee to talk about what they do and …

I blame most of my success on being a giant nerd who loved math more than anything else. Add in a bit of social deafness and stubbornness and you can manage all kinds of good luck. Honestly a lot of it was just that my akwardness and focus helped me make better decisions than I otherwise would have. Now I'm a senior leader at a tech company. I'm a serial entrepreneur, I've been in "deep tech" for about 6 years now. Had some success, some failure. I was an engineer and I went back to do an MBA. H…

Talk to an employment lawyer. Forward the e-mail to HR, along with bullet points of your take away from your conversation with the manager. BCC all communication on the topic to your personal email. Try and have as many chats about it over e-mail or a chat app so you can screen shot and send to your personal e-mail. Look for a new job (if this job isn't so great that one ass hat customer isn't worth it). I have friends in high profile BD jobs that get sexually harassed like this now and then, bu…

Don't date men that don't want to be partners when it comes to kids. If you stay home you get a prenup/postnup to protect against a lost career in case of divorce. If he stays home that applies to him as well. If you both work - you both work at home too. That includes the planning of chores, doing less desirable chores, coordinating maintenance workers etc. Once you find someone that agrees to this, call them out when they don't live up to it. Leave them if they don't actually give you what you…

Personally, porn has never bothered me. I enjoy it myself. However, I did have a bf that used the consumption of porn as a petty jab. He once bought a dirty magazine on the way to visit my parents for a week... Thankfully I grew out of that relationship.

So here is the thing. I get he wanted to show me he was interested in my work (great!). However after 30 minutes it felt like a work interview, which was a turn off. It wasn't the reason we didn't work out, but I would have been happier spending an hour of that date talking about news or politics or something in our lives.

Yeah but not for very long. The whole thing would have to be long distance and I wasn't going to prioritize moving for a man at the beginning of my career.

I actually had a guy read up so much on my field he asked an odd but relevant question on our 3rd date I had to reason out on the fly. 6 months later I was asked the same question at the thesis defense.

Our case is pretty easy. We have similar career progression, but I had massive debt and he didn't (his parents paid his way, but didn't give him surplus, he just got to graduate debt free). I'm an entrepreneur, he has a more traditional big company executive trajectory. The first time I took a huge pay cut he offered to have me move in with him to save on rent, then I never moved out. All the money I've acquired is legally half his as it was built in the relationship, that seems fair to me as I …

Exactly. My partner says he may want to be a sahd, which would be fine by me, but I'm also good with a nanny. Just as long as everyone knows I won't be staying home and giving up my career just because Im a parent.

This!! I say this all the time. "But all those male CEOs have families, why can they do it and I can't?" Any answer that isn't "sorry, of course you are right" is just sexist explaination about societies expectations and how I should follow them.

I made it clear to every one I dated that my career was my priority. Not his, mine. If we got really serious, then our combined success would be based on give and take to build a life we both wanted. Multiple boyfriend waiting until the "I love you" to start to say things about me being a sahm (nothing against that, I'm just a workaholic nerd).... Apparently my ambition was something I would grow out of... Screw them. I found a partner that is a true partner. If we have kids we will share childc…

The biggest contradiction is "I evolutionarily want a hot wife, but gold diggers are evil"... If you, based on your cave man urges get to justify only wanting a woman who looks a certain way, I get to demand a "good provider".

As if rape is remotely about looks. Rape is about dominance and control. A powerful exhibit shows just what she was wearing that implied she was "asking for it"... https://www.huffpost.com/entry/powerful-art-exhibit-powerfully-answers-the-question-what-were-you-wearing_n_59baddd2e4b02da0e1405d2a

I would be way more interested in how this skews with conservative cultures... Does the same reaction happen in societies where nudism is acceptable as an everyday thing? I'm more conservative cultures such as women having to cover their hair or face, does the same reaction occur for a woman not covering their hair/face? Does this vary with the "attractiveness" of the women. Does this affect how they precieve and interact with women immediately after? It is an interesting find, however, my hypot…

I know a few women who employ only women... I found it really toxic in one case. We had this great developer that was gay man and 100% aligned with the mission, and also got along great with the core team. He never made it off of contract on "principal"... Happy I'm not there anymore. My personal preference is the hire suits the job and culture... I work in tech so a lot of men get hired, however all of them are super comfortable with a female boss, and the team is fairly female which is great a…

Seek out other bad ass women. Cut those friends, male and female, who aren't comfortable around you being successful. A very successful woman once told me it gets lonely as the only woman in the room after a while. She then mentored me until she retired. These strong women who came before us want to help, I want to help. Help all ambitious women and create a network. We can make it a little less scary and lonely to be on top.

I found the comments pretty uplifting. Everyone was happy to point out that he abused his ex, and that deadbeats don't pay child support every month.

I'm amazed you even met someone outside of your program. Honestly during grad school (medical research, not MD) I only met men either at the hospital, or on the bus from the hospital, on a lucky night - at the pub across from the hospital. Most were residents so I just assumed they were in the same boat.

I was really busy at work for a while shortly after University, and had to schedule all my dates well in advance (I was living at the office practically). I remember a guy bailed on our date that was planned 2 weeks in advance and said we could just do the next day. All I remember thinking was "something came up, oh well". But then he did it again... And turns out he thought I should just be more go with the flow... Dude I don't get paid to go with the flow... So either keep our plans or walk aw…

Please realise your more than a sexual object. If someone can't recognize you as more than a place to put his dick he doesn't love you, he isn't capable.

It is also really great at avoiding situations where you can't out right say no. "Oh room service for dessert sounds great, I'll go to my room and order me some cake" "why would you want to come to my room, when you could order cake to your own room?"

Figure out what works for you!! Hey a toy and love yourself. If a guy isn't cutting it then please tell him! Or better, be selfish in bed, take control, use him. If none of this works then just leave him. Men have no idea how women work, and every woman is different. So you need to know you before he can. However, there is no excuse for sex that doesn't get better with time... If he isn't willing to learn that says a lot.

Making sex work illigal makes it more risky. It also increases human trafficking and exploitation. Allowing it to operate legally eliminates pimps who act as HORRIBLE embezzling banks, drug pushers, and outright abusers. It also allows testing and support to be provided by the government. I'm not a huge fan of sex work, but I would rather those who are in the industry and safe and supported, than exploited. Frankly women trade sex and companionship for things, houses, a lifestyle all the time. I…

I'm pretty sure my hot button issue is high opt out rates of career progression for women, the fact that women get punished for taking maternity leave (beyond just the cost of hitting pause on work), and that women's sexual assault rates of report is increasing which is great, but prosecution rate is extremely low. In the UK there have been demands on women's full cell phone activity for 7 years even if she was raped by a random guy on the street... Police have refused to prosecute if the women …

However, there seem to be multiple posts saying that women's rights are solved, and women are just being babies at this point. I don't think we have an eglitarian society, I think that has negative impacts on both genders. However, I can't see the value in trying to have a conversation with a man who tells me that women have equal rights and so complaining about AC is a made up feminism issue. I hope this sub becomes something really valuable, but I'm not holding out hope. I think until we can h…

If there was healthy, access to birth control and abortion then this wouldn't be an issue. If women had more than a 60-80 years is being able to actually pursue any career en masse then this wouldn't be an issue. If you give women full access to their rights, equal opportunity to men, then you will find many women agree with this. However, you deny access to abortion, you deny access to healthcare, you raise women to believe the belong at home, or in society caring (aka low income) careers start…
