I got this long satin nightgown in dark blue! Cheap, pretty good quality, doesnt feel trashy, flattering and comfortable to sleep in. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07M7DDWGT/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_g_ABBDMNW1FFTGMV8M5670?psc=1

I agree with the other comments, don't move in with her. I had my fair share of sticky roommates situations and this is definitely going to be one. You'd be better off moving in with someone else or finding a roommate on facebook or smth.

Ok I get that and I get why it could come off that way. So yes probably depends on the people in that way and it is a delicate balance to find in any case.

Depends on the situation but it feels like ego when someone refuses the help of a man because she perceives it as patronizing when he's just doing is role/ expressing his instinct of protecting and serving women. We're not talking about the same situation though, I'm more talking about accepting the help of someone if they offer more than actually calling your husband to come change your tire when you're perfectly capable of doing it. It's not about power plays and who's more capable, if the man…

I just feel like if you're with a man for instance I would let the him change the tire because imo it makes him feel more masculine and therefore it makes me feel more feminine. I actually like that, to trust a man to help me, even though I don't necessarily need it, it makes me feel like a woman. Now if no man is around obviously I wont spend my day looking for one to help me ahah. I don't think it's more feminine bc it's showing less ego my point was that it takes more confidence to actually s…

Amazing!! I've been flirting with the idea of getting pearls ahah. And yes exactly, we are capable and strong but in my opinion it's even showing more strength and less ego to let others help.

I never thought about it that way, I'm french originally and I'm not sure there is a difference btwn north america and other developed countries. It's just that it's not the 1940s anymore and that more and more people dress casual but you're right a lot of people still dress feminine even here! I don't necessarily get stares and compliments but it's true that more people look at you just because dressing better stands out a little and definitely not bc they're shocked to see someone in a dress a…

Best one: the psychology of men by james hollis https://youtu.be/LCZQnKxaINI It's a series of lectures, it's long but you get a lot even just watching the beginning. Really interesting to understand what men go through and how they work compared to us.

Thank you so much!!! It is so exciting! What sucks is I live in canada so it's hard to be feminine under -20°C lol.

Thank you for your explanation, I did have a hard time understanding the word submission because it also somewhat implies worth (and lack of it therefore) and I wasn't comfortable with that so your answer clarifies things.

I completely agree with you! I I do think in a relationship you can't be completely independent and I do think it comes from insecurity or defense mechanisms when women are like "Im a strong independent woman I need no man" and it's good for noone in the relationship. I was talking about independence and strength in a way that's independent of any relationships, like I just think these things are important -especially strength- for character development and not in relation to anyone or anything,…

Exactly! Thats what it means, that being a rpw doesn't mean not being strong, not independent, not free & that being strong doesn't equal wanting to have the upper hand on your husband.

I dont know if you deleted your answer to my comment or if I cant see it but I just wanted to say you're not hearing what I'm saying. Being a strong, independent woman doesnt mean wanting to be in the driver's seat or compete with the boys. I will need to be strong and independent because tough things happen in life and my husband no matter how much of a captain he is won't be the one keeping me from being depressed and the one overcoming my own obstacles for me. I value being the homemaker not …

Im definitely more on the RPW side that the feminist side. I agree with the basic premisces of rpw, but I do think I can be a strong, independent, free woman who also values a family and husband more than anything else, I work hard to be strong and independent however since I'm confident in these abilities I can freely allow myself to rest on the shoulder of a man and treat my man like one. Do you think being strong and independent is irreconcilable with being a rpw? Does what Im saying make any…

I really find your insight valuable. I totally agree. Thanks for the example I liked it. The dynamic in your relationship seems really amazing and healthy, I feel like it would provide such a strength to the relationship. Thank you!

Ok no problem you're right sorry. I was curious about what were the values of women in this sub cause I found that this community seemed to have amazing values

It's so interesting!! It does make more sense and I really like what you're saying about responsibility, independence and consequences. Can you give me real life examples of the costs that get dumped on men please I want to understand it more.

True good to keep in mind. I love this model of RPW I think it's beautiful. I don't understand 100% why we need to go further? I guess just personal preferences but idk if I'm missing something Edit: need wasnt the right word, just why do some people prefer to go further

I see! Tell me if you agree but I actually feel like women who feel threatened by that are in a way not as confident in their womanhood, it's like they're afraid of being perceived as weak and inferior when I don't think it's what rpw is about? Also I need to further understand the idea of having a captain. What does it mean concretely? Like what decisions does the man take? Why couldn't there be more of a partnership? I'm just trying to figure things out
