I love this story, and from here I give you all my admiration for managing to do it on your own. I will DM you for sure.

Funny that you say this because I had the impression from the very first conversation that he really wanted to bang my stbx. And if you want my opinion, he can have her for good but not fucking my kids in the process. My attorney says GALs are untouchable, even though I pay the bills and his invoices show his biases, he forced ahead with his false dramatic self righteousness. I suspect he is a douchebag, and that he is well known in the court so they let him roam around because he is part of the…

Would you mind please elaborating on this? Everybody I have talked to have indicated that a GAL is pretty much untouchable.

I beg to disagree in so far the court has sided completely with his lies.

You just made realize that it is civil discourse that gives wings to these people idiocy. I really appreciate this. May I ask where did you do this?

The logic of a scorned woman is... I don't care how much I will suffer if I make him suffer. Call it "worthy" revenge 😂. It is one of those stories you read about where a stupid feud arose somewhere and it ended up destroying way more than the issue had damaged. My wife is exactly in that path, she doesn't care what the impact is to herself. Fortunately her lawyers decided she would not take their firm down with her and dropped her. Imputed salary that's all what you care about!!!!

My toxic stbxw used to hit me too. Between the shame and thinking of the kids I let it pass, I should not have. The reality is that we men are sadly the ones who in trying to protect our family and our kids are enabling these crazy antics, and there is nothing worse than a person that despises you and thinks she has immunity (which We have her). Talk to your kids, tape them even, see if they remember. Then go to make a police report. Leave records or everything will be for nothing.

Did you report that to the police? We all know women do not get slapped with orders of protection (o because only men are violent in society) but at least you can collect the police report and maybe get her a psych exam (which should show who is really crazy) and hopefully help you with parenting time. Lots of good luck, my stbxw does things like this all the time, the best part is she thinks nobody sees it...

My toxic STBX does it all the time. Everything is a chance to up me in something. While I would advice not to respond (in my case is easy she is delusional and incompetent), I think you should put some boundaries like... No drunk parents around my kids, thus killing the sleepover. If they insist, record and take notes. Delusional women do so much crap that it is easy to forget eyeballs they ask you in court.

My stbx acts vero Much like this. What other female friends have told me is that I have encouraged this behavior every time. There are things you don't play with, and going through a divorce and trying to back out is where I draw the line. I would move on or if you really want to continue the relationship, don't hey remarried to her. Let her know she self downgraded to acquaintance.

Yes, we have two kids together (10f & 14m). They have been repeating all her grievances like parrots.

There are 2 ways to do this... If it is a 401k, you can get a Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO) which is a court order that divides retirement accounts during a divorce. If it is an IRA then you just send the custodian of the IRA a copy of the divorce agreement and the transfer the funds directly to your ex's new IRA. If course there is the third way, Sell the house and do something with those $150k. $150k is a nice starter capital for a lot of things.

My wife has hit me multiple times. Whenever I have talked to attorneys all disregarded her violence, and adviced against touching her (something I luckily never did). You are not the bad person in this relationship, she is. And she is taking advantage of your weaknesses. Stay strong and Grey Rock her (I can tell you from experience that it is the most calming thing). Also everybody says it in this thread, get yourself a voice activated recorder. At the very least you will be able to prove that y…

I can totally relate. Either you are with her (and f'ing yourselfl or you are against her. No way to win. Best is when they try to avenge your sins by making a desert out of their own garden.

There 2 things going on here in my mind: A) your child, the kid deserves a stable environment. - Is it appropriate for a kid to realize mom dropped dad and is sleeping with someone else so soon after this? I would say nope but maybe it is a child psychologist question, and this is something you can take your kid to a consultation with one (make sure your wife is aware you are doing it) -What will happen if your exwife loses her job? Do you get to pay more? Do you get the kid more? B) do you want…

It is difficult to help someone that's holding you hostage. But let's as some data... In Illinois you will have to pay her for a length of time half the duration of the marriage (and forever if you go over 20 years), so each day is adding to your indenture to her. How do I know? I am married to a toxic woman in Illinois, 20+ years, 2 kids, she does not work. If I were in your shoes I would have served her already. But obviously I in my case my attorney advised to help her get a job since it is th…

Several thoughts. First, please think of the goal, your kids. You have taken care of them for years now. Don't let that go because of your frustration. Try looking for an online job. Or maybe just increase the number of trips you take with the kids to civilized areas of the country. Second, if you work in a college, is part of your contract that they pay for your kids education anywhere? Because in 3 years 2 of your kids will be gone to college, and if your job(like many universities) were to pa…

I am going to make another suggestion, please take it with a fistful of salt, and this is just because I am looking for a business while deciding when to boot her. Give her the business, make it on such a way that she pays you. You can train her. With the money you get, turn around and either compete with her or buy something to go your own way while receiving her money. If you think of a business just as an asset then you can sell it, split the money and since court will value both on salary yo…

In my humble opinion, as long as this is not presented as OP trying to make her look bad (meaning, it's just her looking bad by herself), this can be extremely helpful to his case.

Food for thought, If you are not attached to your business... have you considered the opposite? Why doesn't she keep the business? if you end up with half of all retirement funds, half of those 425k from the business and 7-9k alimony... You will be far ahead for retirement and you could always buy another business to run with your retirement funds or whatever she allowed you to have.

Food for thought... For your own physical and mental health stay away. There is nothing to be gained there. And if your act vengeful she might be worse when discussing terms. For your own economic health, if your divorce agreement indicates you pay alimony until she lives with someone else then you might need the AP to stick around.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
