I watched a portion of it...as I said in my comment. I really can't watch an hour and a half video. By all means, please provide a summary since you did. You said he makes good points, what are those points? Why not share those with everyone here who also do not want to spend 1.5 hours watching the video. And as I said in my other comment to you...yes, he does make good points—but related to having empathy and personal growth...not on what he thinks pickup is. Re-read my comment. You'll see that…

He does make good points. I never said he doesn't. I only question his need to criticize and dismiss others in order to make those points. Different methods work for different people. That's my point. And if you visit his site, you see that he does have his own sales agenda, even if he doesn't directly try to make a pitch in his video. It's basic content marketing. Nothing wrong with making money. Good for him. But why not add his own unique insights and approach without having to knock down oth…

You're right. PU is simply persuasion. Marketing is persuasion. When you call it marketing...you're an "entrepreneur". When you call it pick-up...you're a sleazy manipulator. There's a huge double standard there. Any tool can be used constructively or destructively. The responsibility lies in the person using those tools.

An hour and a half rant? No thanks. I've watched a portion, but I can already tell where he's coming from...because he's part of this new trend of wanna-be gurus/marketers who have found their own way of profiting by dismissing all other PUA theory and instructors. What's interesting is that all of these guys have gone down the same path of learning (The Game, Mystery Method, Models, RSD, etc.). But the market has already been saturated by teachers who are essentially rehashing what has already …

Stop trying to overcome the anxiety. Accept that anxiety will be there. Learn to sit with that anxiety and proceed anyway. Trying to eliminate it only makes it harder. Accepting it takes its power away. IMHO.

Regardless of the fact that you feel like an antelope(?), it takes balls to do what you did. You're way ahead of so many others. I say go out, do it again, keep feeling uncomfortable, keep learning...until it no longer affects you. Mark Twain said, "Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear."

I've had those same fantasies. Knowing I would never actually do it...but it feels like it would be "instant relief" if everything just ended. I think those thoughts are normal if you know you'd never act on them. Your feelings (as uncomfortable as they are) are very valuable...and need to be explored. Find someone in your life that you can open up to about these things. A friend, family member, co-worker that you trust and feel safe around. Don't ask for answers or solutions...just have someone…

No real relationships with women at all. I've avoided them like the plague over the years. Don't have many guy friends either. Then I would start there. Your issue is less of a "women/dating/girlfriend" issue and more of a "love of self" and "intimacy with people in general" issue. I also have a very solitary work environment. It used to be the total opposite before I changed careers. That only makes things worse and makes it more critical that you get out of the house and around people. That's …

Because sadly I'm honestly only attracted to very hot girls. I could probably fuck some girls but it kills me inside to think that those hot girls want these guys more than me because of something I have no control over, the way my face was made. Aren't you pretty much doing the same thing as those girls are? So why does it "kill you" to think that they do it?

I relate to a lot of what you say. I'm 39...have had committed sexual relationships...but deep down I still have a lot of hangups that are a result of my upbringing and the beliefs I created and accepted growing up. The key words are "I created and accepted". Remember that. I also know that me telling you that you're good-looking (which I honestly think you are #nohomo :) ) isn't going to make you believe you're good-looking. But the pic surprised me given the way you talk about yourself. You ha…

Agree...this is a tough call. I think keeping it casual (wink, etc.) is good. Escalation is important here just as it is in person...let it build slowly. The best thing to do is not act shocked or surprised. But definitely express approval...tell her she looks hot...but don't ask for more...let her be in control. I just sent a woman some fairly graphic pics of myself (after she requested)...and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. So let her know that you're game to reciprocate if she'd like. Th…

Happened to me once. Thankfully, she agreed to go to a hotel. Use the Hotel Tonight app (or other similar app) to find great rates for good hotels at the last minute. This makes it easy to take her somewhere nice without breaking the bank. You can also make it into a special occasion or something spontaneous and fun ("Hey, I've always wanted to check out X hotel...we can pretend we're on vacation!"...etc.). If there's a nice bar, have a drink first...to build tension and/or get comfortable. Hote…

Great post. I think the "being honest and genuine with women" part is especially important. For me, it's been one of my biggest sticking points. I'm currently also in the position you were in. After years of two back to back relationships...I'm relishing the single life and taking the time to work on myself before getting back out there. I think having that space and time to be with yourself is critical.

I had a great FWB for years. Great sex...not an ounce of drama. We never actually discussed the situation until I was moving away. I'm glad we did...and I wished we'd talked about it sooner. The reason is that there was always a little bit of awkwardness...because neither of us had acknowledged what we were looking for. It also didn't allow me to just relax into it the way I could. I always felt like there was this fake component to it...as if trying to make it look like something it wasn't. I a…

The definition of the truth...is what works. Try both...use what works for you and discard the rest. Testing is the only way to really know if something will work...whether in pickup, health, life, etc. Choosing one over another can lead you to miss out on something valuable. I'm sure each one offers its own benefits...but everyone's different. So it will depend on your own experience, background, strengths, and weaknesses. Good luck!

I had horrible teeth in grade school and junior high. It really impacted my self-esteem. I wouldn't smile around people and couldn't be comfortable around others...especially girls. I'm sure I'll get downvoted for citing Mystery's method, but I though this might be useful to OP. I think #'s 3 and 4 are particularly important to consider in this case. So here you go... "Some reasons why women might say they have a boyfriend: 1) She doesn't have a boyfriend, she's just saying that because she's not attracted to you. 2) She does have a boyfriend and given her current options, she has chosen to stick with that relationship. 3) She does have a boyfriend, but she is willing to sl…

People flake...it's not a girl thing or a guy thing. It just happens. Trying to figure out why they did it is pointless. Instead, look at anything you may have done along the way that may have contributed to her lack of follow-through. But from what you've written, it sounds like you didn't do anything wrong. I'm right there with you. I've got a boyish face (w/ full cheeks and dimples no less), and I've never been an alpha type. I've always heard things like, "you're such a sweet guy" or "but you're just so cute", both of which make me cringe. I think there's confusion around what it means to be alpha. It doesn't mean that you're aggressive. For me, I've started to cultivate the habit of being more assertive ("we're going to ____ to eat" vs. "what sounds good to you?"). I'm acting more decisive in my…

You don't need to smile ALL the time, but you can smile at the right times...like when you make eye contact with someone—anyone. Also, make friends with the people you see at the gym...not just attractive women. The more you're seen as a social person (talking/smiling/laughing with a variety of people), the more approachable you'll seem. And you'll start to feel more comfortable in your own skin and projecting yourself out to others. Sometimes it's less of a physical thing and more of an energy/…

Don't judge your judgement. You will judge...it's human. The difference is that you have the self-awareness to know you are doing it. Also, the judgements we hold about others contain some story about ourselves. Maybe what we judge in others are things we don't like about ourselves. Or maybe it's something we're lacking—that we wish we did have—that makes us judge. Use your judgements to look inward and learn about yourself. I like hearing a woman talk about... how wet she is (getting) how hard she's going to cum what she's wearing (if doing phone/text sex) what she wants me to do to her Include those in your dirty talk and you'll be golden. "It disarms people, men and women and makes them feel more warm toward you." This is so true. I'm reminds of my time living in Spain, where you greet people with 2 kisses (one on each cheek)...even if you're meeting them for the first time. As an American, it took a lot of getting used to. But it really does make you feel immediately familiar with the person. It may not be the vulnerability part. It may be something that comes before that. Are you building attraction first—before going into the vulnerability stage? Is she comfortable enough with you to be open to that vulnerability? Probably not the best answer here...but just something to think about. Being honest and vulnerable show value...but only when done at the right time and alongside other attraction triggers.

Yes to all of this. Although I've never tried the powder on balls/ass. I would also add that it's a good idea to invest in a mani/pedicure from time to time. I always like doing it before I have a date. Sure, it's probably not necessary...but women notice nails. Plus, it feels great because they'll throw in an arm/leg/foot massage. And while you're there, feel free to strike up a conversation with the many women that you'll find sitting all around you.

And not just "some time". Pick a day and time...lead the way. Make it definite. That prevents the back and forth of... "what works for you?" "How about Friday?" "Can't do Friday...how about...?" Etc. Have a plan already in mind. If she can make it, great. If not...then let her miss out. Then try again in the future. Be the guy with a lot going on...who has plenty of other options. :)

Depends on how close you are to these guys. If they're you're really good friends, just tell them. Say, "Hey, you guys seem to be really good with women, what advice would you share? What mindset helps you? Etc., etc...." You could even tell them that you feel excluded at times. Again...all depends on the nature of your relationship with them. Part of me feels like you don't need to "out-alpha" them. The more comfortable you are in any situation...the more "alpha" you'll appear. But if you come …

Just finished finals? Probably stressed and tense. Learn some basic massage techniques and try them out on her. Doesn't need to be sexual...she can even be sitting up...but it can make her comfortable with touching really quickly. And who doesn't enjoy a massage? Easy one: grab the trapezius muscle (it's the one that sits between the shoulder and the neck) w/ your thumb, index, and middle finger. Lightly at first because it can be sensitive. Just hold it. This alone helps relax the muscle. Just …

Neil Strauss attributes it to Ross Jeffries in The Game. I like that rule. To me it simply means to always consider her emotions...no matter how things turn out. If it doesn't work out for you, let her know in a way that is honest and respectful of her needs. When I was younger, I didn't have the balls to be up front when I felt things weren't working out. Not sure what you mean. I'll assume you mean make a physical move. Just do as you normally would. Look for "invitations" to make a move (being alone with her, if she gives you s certain look, touches you, etc.) Getting physical should be a gradual escalation. Don't just wait for a moment to kiss. I know a lot of people think it's outdated, but I still think The Mystery Method is a great intro with a solid framework to use as a starting point. If you look beyond the surface, there are some great principles related to the psychology of how men and women interact...and how to tap into those to increase attraction and transition into comfort and seduction.

Totally agree. That's not a high-value thing to be asking...doesn't show confidence. Just get after it. In these cases, it's best to take a "shoot first, ask questions later" approach. Not a lame text at all. Just be careful not to let it meander. There should be a goal in mind for texting. I'd call her and just ask her out.

Have you set a date with her yet? That would be my next priority. Your texting is playful banter. That's good...but if you fail to ask her out she may lose interest quickly.

Definitely make more. Those kinds of tips are really helpful for testing and determining what works.

Thanks for your detailed reply. Interesting what you mention about being totally in state. You're right...that's a key component—"inner game" as they say. And I agree that micro-expressions are important. The eyes can be smiling when the mouth isn't. Those subtleties are really fascinating in how we communicate w/ another person. Great stuff! Thanks again.

Thanks. That's precisely why I was asking...didn't want another gimmick. I appreciate the feedback.

Great story. Loved your previous post on eye contact, too. Curious if you've experimented with how you smile when making eye contact. I'm thinking no smile can be intimidating and come off as creepy (a bad habit of mine)...although it may also express dominance and might be attractive in certain situations. Too large a smile might appear overly eager in other situations. A slight smile would seem to be the right balance between the two. Just curious if you noted any distinctions in responses, et…

Nice video. Good tips. For anyone not familiar, here a few good resources that expand on the points made... • Influence (Cialdini) • What Every Body is Saying (Navarro) • Rationally Irrational (Ariely)

I'm learning that owning it is the key to a lot of good banter responses.

It's easy for us guys to forget that women also have their own approach anxiety. Thanks for sharing. Good luck!

I think slipping him your number was pretty gutsy. So we know you have them. :) Looking forward to an update!

A couple things come to mind. Guys don't get approached by women that often. An assertive girl who takes the initiative can be intimidating for some guys (especially if they're younger, less experienced, etc....and if you're older, beautiful, more experienced, etc.). He may not be interested and can't bring himself to tell you (we can be terrible communicators sometimes) and is just keeping things cool to be nice/professional. But it sounds like he's not giving you that vibe...so this may not be…
