Yeah. the radical idea of disowning a tradition(marriage) that has basically built are modern civilization freaks me out sometimes. Plus I have parents who have been in an LTR for more then 30 years. No one in my immediate family is divorced either. People need to post about LTR's more often. It seems as they are outliers and are black sheeps amongst this community.

I've had this problem MANY times. Once, I dated the girl of my dreams. I fantasized about her for years and finally I took her out. Within a couple of dates I was so nervous and convinced she wasn't interested, but looking back now (3 years ago). She was REALLY interested. She was just way too shy to show her real feelings. I've been direct with many women who usually become shy. Ultimately, for many, shyness demonstrates a form of attraction. Shy and disinterest have a significant difference. A child can tell the difference. I think the only thing I'd like to tell OP is that every shy girl with walls I've ever dated ALWAYS had a form of major insecurities that ruined my relationships.
