He already got his greencard, it's just a matter of time before he got his citizenship. Thru married he only need to wait 3 years.

Agree, I am a woman and I never paid for a date because I never asked first. It's always the guys ask me for a date and I agree wholeheartedly with this view.

India is a country that still practices caste system to this day and of course women are always second class (maybe even third, fourth, or fifth class) citizens at this point. I am from Indonesia and unfortunately, some stuff that you said here is true in Indonesia as well. That's why I move to the US.

He is an impulsive buyer when it comes to technology but he also bought me a lot of gadget. I am waiting for the new Oculus now, he just decided that I need one 😛

I think if you also want him as a friend it's find to have him has a friend, especially if you enjoyed spending time with you. However that is not the case, you are clearly wanting more and he does not so stop wasting your time thinking about him. I found it easy to just block people that I don't like, life is too short to deal with that kind of discomfort.

I am from Indonesia and moved to the US 5 years ago. I was 27 years old and single when I moved to the US. Most of my friends got married when they are 21 - 25 years old. I know how you feel. I saw them getting married and I was jealous. I decided to focus on myself, I got my master degree, travelling all over the world, and have a decent career. I really focused on myself and I met my husband when I was 30 years old, when I don't event thinking about relationships and just focus on myself. Live…

I lived in NYC for four years and I met my husband in NYC. There are a lot of fuckboys in NYC and also a lot of successful LVM (make them look like HVM). The thing is there are more women than men in NYC and men in NYC just love to ghost, try to just have sex, and in general just awful. Use fds and caution when you are dating in NYC. I did not know FDS when I was living there so I created my own system. I only consider sex after six dates and guess what most guy in NYC expected sex on the first …

I guess I just answered based on my experience, my husband took me for a brunch in an upscale restaurant for our third dates. It was memorable, I really enjoyed the food, ambiance, and the experience.

I think brunch date is fun and usually last just as long as dinner if not more. I personally think a brunch date in an upscale/good restaurant is a good choice.

One of my friends actually asked this to his fiancee and its backfired to him. They broke up and he regretted asking for an open relationship. Its never a good idea.

Being single is better than being with an LVM like him.

I am highly educated, good looking (subjective) and I take care of myself. I had a very successful career and I know I want a family so I spent sometime developing strategy to find the right man (I was not on this sub yet). This is my rule: I only agreed to dinner date or brunch date, no coffee dates for me. If a man asked for splitting the bill, I just blocked them after the date (happened once to me) I only considered sex after 6 dates. If a man send me a dick pick, I blocked them immediately.…

Yes, that's exactly what I am talking about. All of this place in Jakarta are super fancy and expensive. It's a nice experience too. In term of being exclusive, I think I might worded my comment badly. I discussed about exclusivity with my (now) husband, it's cut both way in our case.

Ah got it, and do you think if you are in a more private setting with a guy, it'll always end ups in sex? Just asking because I don't know how strict is your country right now but in Jakarta we have a few restaurants that a bit more private where you could be physically intimate (but not having sex), is there any setting like that?

I am from Indonesia, one of the countries in South East Asia. We have the same culture of no PDA and sex before marriage is a bit taboo. I found it easier to avoid sex all together in the country like Indonesia. Just have dates, ask for exclusivivity and when they showed commitment, invite them to your place or you could go to his place for more intimate physical connection or sex.

6 dates, most LVM would not last 6 dates or you'll dump them before 6 dates.

Why your heart will be shattered? He is just a date, keep repeating that and I think you'll be okay. Plus he is LVM, just keep remember that

I got this before and I said 'I cannot say the same to you, because you are neither smart or attractive' then go about my day. I was hostile to him because he was on my back since my first day at work, he was so condescending.

Did women really do this? Put their hope to one man after a first date? This is such an outdated views. I married 2 years ago. When I met my husband, I dated 4 different guys at the same times (having sex with non except my husband because he is patient enough to wait). My rule is no sex before six dates and it work pretty well at weeded out fuckboys.

Give him space but inform him how you feel. I'd suggest couple therapy too. My husband has the same coping mechanism, he shut down and burry problem deep and never want to talk about it. I gave him space and suggested couple therapy. We are still in therapy but he is way better now at communicating his feeling.
