One thing I would seriously add to the things the guys says is the fact that yes, women deal with the actual pain of periods, but guys really do deal with the aftereffects. I know many times my female friends are on their periods and are complaining about bloating and pain and suffering, and I honestly feel horrible because I can't do a single thing for them. The problem with her case being believable is that very last tweet that ends in "lmao". If she really was raped, then why would she make fun of the situation by stating "And it happened again when I got beat with a tire iron by skinheads"? That isn't funny if it really happened. I think she is just trying to "protect" herself by making people feel sympathetic. tl;dr: I don't believe she was actually raped based on her very last tweet ending in "lmao"

I think in the grand scheme of things those sort of companies are very small and not very far reaching. If widespread misogyny and lower wages was present in a heavily scrutinized company (say Apple or one of the bigger stocked companies) then news would explode over it. Only companies that were smaller and less well known could get away with something like that for a while, even then it is wrong and someone will catch it. I may be wrong in being optimistic however.

I don't yell, I simply ask you to really look at the facts. If you saw some of these same sort of issues on a Feminist subreddit...would you call those uptight and (not really sure what word you were going for there)?

I was pretty lucky as well. I date a feminist and before I found /r/MensRights I was always stuck on the receiving end of a crap storm when she brought up an issue. Now I actually know how to respond to many of the arguments that she used to spew, but now she has come to realize that it upsets me when she makes accusations and generalizations like that, so she doesn't bring it up anymore. (I'm sorta waiting for the other shoe to drop though)

I go to a College that has a Women's Centre and this always bothered me. I don't see why feminists are so up in arms about establishing a Men's Centre, while they were allowed a Women's Centre. Unequal privileges at its finest. (I would like to note that I am not against Women's Centres at all, I fully support them.)

I think I agree with what he is trying to accomplish, I just believe he is going about it the wrong way. Rather than changing the health insurance for just women, if he tried to fix insurance for ALL genders, he would be much more successful and probably get more votes. -Is that what you are trying to get at?

So I should have to pay more for the things that I don't need and don't use? That's what I don't understand. Why should I have to pay for something that I don't ever use? It's like paying an electric bill or a water bill for your neighbors and yourself. I may be missing the point here, but I understand both sides, yet I do believe that you should pay for what you use, not what everyone else uses.
