That's probably true for a small population of the "player" types. There does seem to be a bit of a stigma too. Were they though? Throughout history most communities were religious, and most religions didn't frown upon sex after marriage, only before, and for both genders. I think the biggest reason women can't cum from actual sex alone is because of circumcision. Circumcision greatly increases the pleasure for both people. For men, the lack of foreskin erodes pretty much any pleasure up until the point of ejaculation, and for women, the foreskin helps extra with stimulation.
