That’s absolutely not true. It’s state dependent. In my state you are not legally the father unless you’re married or you petition the courts. Since we weren’t married I had no legal access to my kid until I petitioned the courts to establish me as the father. She agreed to it as well. But she was already living in another state by the time this happened. So now she can leave anytime she wants

The more the money the states can force the non custodial parent to pay the more money the states receive from the federal government. So child support is a racket. That’s the point of Title IV-D incentives. States gets kick backs from the Feds for collecting child support. The 2nd issue of child support is in almost all cases it goes to the mother, especially in a mother state, regardless if she makes more than you. In my state, even if you have legit 50/50, you still have to pay child support, although it’ll be much lower.

I like it when they aren’t on light duty because I know our daily PT runs will be a slower pace and shorter distance. I mean most of them are cool and I like some of them but the younger ones cause so much trouble
