Isn't it tragic we should emotionally prepare ourselves to be ghosted after getting fucked. After they get what they want, they usually cut and run. And you're right, there's really no measure of time that can weed out these assholes. I grossly underestimate the extent that men will go to in order to gain a woman's trust just to exploit them in such intimate ways.

I'm not looking to be engaged by any means. I do not want marriage. I see your point in not wanting to spend 3 months or longer just to find out if there is sexual chemistry. I suppose I don't consider lack of sexual chemistry (at first) to be like an absolute deal breaker. And what I mean by that is I think when you're with someone new, both your bodies need to be learned. It's a process, imo. I suppose my goal is to find out if he's a rubbish man before finding out if he's rubbish in bed. Than…

So, the first time we were ever supposed to meet up, he tells me that very day, he found out his grandma only had 6 months left to live. He didn't return my calls/texts even though we had made plans the day prior. His grandma was sick and she did die, but he didn't really find out that day. He used that as an excuse. He stayed up until like 6 AM drinking and was sleeping the day away. He didn't have the decency to let me know he wasn't going to show. He blew me off. And yes, insecure me still fu…

I'm sure you are beautiful. This sounds awful, but I think men see that as more of an advantage. Like they might figure a woman that isn't conventially attractive is more willing to do things because she may be insecure. Definitely not saying that is the case with you, just stating that once again, men are pigs.

I would like to ask you a question and I hope you don't take offense. I pass no judgment on what you do. I have opinions, but you know what they say about opinions. When you come into contact with married men, do you ever feel you're violating any morals you have? I ask because it seems like a main point within FDS is to support other women, but doesn't your work go against that concept when you're getting paid by married men to do sexual things for them while their wives are ignorant to all of …

Yep! I just recently decided to dabble in the world of OLD. It was brief. I matched with a man who on paper was seemingly great. We began talking and I told him upfront that I'm not comfortable with meeting up right away. He seemed fine with it. He kept on pushing it and asking me to meet with him. He said he was only trying to "help" and that I needed to break out of my shell. I said he wasn't respecting my boundaries and he proceeded to say he's not interested anymore because my attitude isn't…

I do it myself and it takes minutes. Penetration isn't necesary which we all know. I am not currently sexually active and have orgasms multiple times during the week. I know women who have sex with men regularly and have never orgasmed. I tell them to buy a freaking vibrator, hold it on your clit for like a minute and BAM. A vibrator isn't necesary, though. Your hands can work just as well. Men make it seem like it's so much effort, but it's truly not. I can satisfy myself better than a man can.…

Learning to take accountability has been the hugest factor in helping me move forward from my abusive ex. I'm not blaming myself for his behavior, nor would I ever blame any woman, but it comes to a point where you have to ask yourself and get to the root of why you'd allow such behavior in the first place. That's how we don't repeat those kinds of situations.

Ahh, the naive young girl falling for the older man who she probably thinks has it all figured out. Nope. Those ones date down for a reason. 22 and 36 is different from say, 36 and 50. He's preying on her inexperience. This reminds me of my ex. We started to date when I was 27 and he was 34. Not as bad of a gap, but now he's 36 going on 37 and he's with a 23 year old that he knocked up within a few weeks. I'm going to be 30 this year. I've heard from family and friends that their thirties, even their forties, were the best times/decade of their lives. For me, my twenties have mostly been a raging dumpster fire, so I'm inclined to agree that my thirties will be nothing but moving up. You learn a lot in your twenties. I feel like we take that knowledge and apply it to the next decade, making the ride a bit more smooth throughout the next ten years.

So, at this point, should women just expect all men are no good liars that will stop at nothing to get laid? Where do morals or values come into play? Why should women just expect to get fucked over? That's sweet. Nice to know some men do shit like this. Wanna know how sweet my ex was to me? When I thought I had a miscarriage, he didn't ask once how I felt or how I was doing. I agree with all of this. Having said that, it was exhausting just to read. What I mean by that is that I can't believe something as simple as conversation has to be like mathematically thought out when it comes to men and engaging with them because they are literally a different breed. It just reinforces my thought that being single isn't all that bad. Not that I thought it was before, but this is just sad. Etiquette and manners should just be an inherent part of being a human. I take things like this with a grain of salt when it comes to who "said" it because I know there's no way of really knowing. I saw this quote on my Facebook, liked the idea of it and posted it here. I don't worship anyone, lol. I was never interested enough in Frida to begin with to look up her history. I didn't think anyone would really focus on the aspect, but the conversations that it started are interesting, so I guess I'm okay with it. Thanks for your insight.

Haha. The thing is, I'm a pretty sarcastic person myself and speak it regularly (lol), but this did not pick up as sarcasm at all. This was just Asshole 101.

What a mf. Reading this makes my blood boil. Good thing he showed his true nature before you wasted your precious time on him.

Lmao. Duh. I thought too much into that one. Yes, slimy doesn't even begin to describe what a sleazy scumbag he is. 🤢

The very first thing I ever Googled with my abusive, sociopathic ex was, "is the silent treatment normal?" I just couldn't comprehend a grown man behaving like that and resorted to Google to make sense of it. Good times. 😂

I remember when I was in the thick of a relationship like this, I came across a meme that said something along the lines of, "you know it's bad if you have to Google someone's behavior in order to understand them", and I was like, right I knew this wasn't normal, lol.

The silent treatment is an emotionally abusive manipulation tactic. It usually doesn't get better from there. At least you'll have the knowledge to recognize this red flag in the future because adults don't act like this, children do.

In what sense?

Trueee. Makes me think of my ex. I had a couple scares with him and thankfully I never was pregnant. He is going on 37 and knocked up a 23 year old within weeks. He's an abusive, drug addicted sociopath that never finished high school, has no GED, license/car, or ambitions to improve himself. I thank the universe or I guess my own strength for having the courage to leave because had I become pregnant with his kid, I just don't know what my life would have become. I'm one semester away from finis…

Doubt everyone would have known it was her had her name not been in it!

Yep. Someone else doesn't have a right to decide for you if you've been hurt or not. Good on you for seeing that red flag and opting out.

Definitely.

Lol. I should have taken her name out of it. I was more or less focusing on the concept of the quote, not necessarily Frida herself or her troubled relationship.

Yeah, I don't know the entire history of her relationship with him, but I liked this quote regardless!

If you say to him "do not contact me again", you can take it to the police if he contacts you from that point on since it's harassment. It already is, but if you haven't said something along those lines, please do.

Girl, I relate. The no value "man" I was with didn't even call me on my birthday, lololol. When I finally saw him AFTER my birthday, he was kind enough to pinch some cocaine he took from someone else and gifted me that. No, I'm not joking. I didn't know wtf I was doing and got caught up with an abusive, sociopathic, drug addict. Good on you for getting rid of him. The sooner, the better.

Thanks for the recommendation. The book sounds like it could provide a lot of great insight. Putting that one on my list.

Yes, yes, yes. Our intuition is our protector. Same with how our bodies physically react to someone's presence. I'd be shaky, on edge and queasy around my abusive ex. My body was reacting with warning signs. Imma listen to my sweet intuition and body from now on.

This is kind of off topic, but along the same lines. I was having a conversation with my cousin and I told him I feel like all men are abusive in some way. I won't lie, I'm still reeling from being with an abusive sociopath, and I'm not trying to generalize, but damn, I really just don't trust men in general.

Not surprising at all. I feel for her. He is definitely taking advantage of her situation. I hope she and her son can get to safety.

Omg, what. I wonder if TLC knows this.

Terrible message indeed. I dated a man with ASPD and would not give this kind of shit advice to anyone. I wasn't truly aware of this until after the fact. There's a literal disconnect in these people's brains. They aren't wired like those without ASPD. They won't get better and they won't ever change. I don't think she's even in denial. I think she knows this, but "omg he's such a nice guy when he's not being an abusive sociopath."

Lmao. 😂 I hate to admit this, but I watch this. It's a train wreck I can't look away from. I don't know why, but Paul gives me creepy vibes. Like, I get this feeling that maybe he's been abusive towards her. I could be very wrong, but I see a lot of sadness and fear in the woman he's with.

Maybe he doesn't hit you, but he's threatened to a number of times and says you're responsible for his bad moods and temper.

Very heartbreaking. Reminds me of stories of women (a lot in India) that have been victims of acid attacks by their exes.

Just...run very far away from men like this. My ex proudly referred to himself as that and he was an abusive sociopath. At best, any guy that is seemingly proud to think he's an asshole really is the average asshole which most men are anyways. And at worst, he has a personality disorder. Either way, when shit goes wrong, he can say he told you so about who he is and use that as an excuse to justify his disrespectful behavior. Just my two cents.

He's disgusting. I shuddered watching this. It made me pissed. I'm sure she finds your entire being gross, buddy.

My mind can't comprehend being rude to a man just because I don't find him attractive. There are plenty of men I've seen that are attractive and plenty more that aren't attractive and I don't treat one better than the other. That goes against my moral compass which many men don't seem to have. The funniest thing is that the men that are most vocal about how they think a woman should look are usually greasy, overweight, objectively unattractive losers with small penises.
