Agreed. Did a small local community “cancel” him, or did he simply face accountability for bad actions? If OP can’t be honest about that I’m not sure he’ll be much help to other struggling men

I agree with you! I’m just trying to slowly persuade the guys in this sub out of their misogyny lol

It may not be in “good taste” but you’re kind of blowing it out of proportion.

Sure, an extremely high body count (100+) may indicate an impulsive or reckless personality. But a high body count (30+) doesn’t, and is pretty normal.

If this were true, we would see it very obviously in real life. Only 20% of men in relationships would be incredibly obvious to us - most men you know would have never dated a woman if this was true. But it’s obviously not

Because the balance is so uneven. Your biggest complaint is that women have said mean or violent things about men online. Women’s biggest complaint is that women are being raped and killed by men every day. Women live in constant fear of male violence. Men simply do not have that same experience in the world. Women aren’t constantly killing and raping men.

I don’t know if there is a community that specific, but r/women is very accepting and kind. You could also check out r/twoxchromosomes, that could be a good place to vent and they will get angry on your behalf haha

I mean this kindly, but your breakdown of intersectionality is incorrect. The woman who created intersectional theory, Kimberle Crenshaw, explicitly said not to treat it as additive or subtractive the way you have done in this comment. I would not suggest to anyone reading this to do a +1 or -1 analysis of different identities, that removes a significant amount of the nuance of intersectional theory.

I think you could also get some good advice on this in the Feminist subs! We’ve seen questions like this before and it’s a relatable topic for a lot of women

Not having sex with a partner is not and will never be abuse. You are making an insane overreach, look up the definition of abuse.

Perfect answer to OP’s question. OP, redpillers do not care about women and do not care that their fucked up actions hurt women. This comment shows it. This guy is openly admitting that he doesn’t care that he is an abuser. Stay far far away from redpillers.

Essentially yes. Women attempt suicide at about 2x the rate of men. However, gun owners skew very male, so a lot of men not only have easier access to guns but are also more comfortable using guns. Because of that, men are more likely to attempt suicide with a gun, and suicide by firearm is the suicide method that is the most likely to be fatal.

I would say FDS is toxic and should be avoided, but the Red Pill is worse. They are both definitely bad but the red pill ideologies produce real world violence, while FDS ideologies generally just produce mean/lonely women

Hopefully you can learn from these experiences. It sounds like you’ve suffered a lot, I’m sorry you have but causing others to suffer won’t make you feel better. I think the red pill concepts can be attractive because as you said in another comment they give you like a blueprint for all relationships so you already feel like you know what to do. But all relationships are different, because all people are different, and if you try to treat them all the same you’ll miss out on any genuine connecti…

I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, but after reading your post, I wonder if you’re a psychopath. I’m not suggesting that you are violent, but it seems like you lack empathy and experience your emotions very differently than most people, in a way that seems reflective of psychopathic traits. Does that resonate with you? If so I would suggest therapy to get an official diagnosis, but unfortunately there is not yet a “cure” for psychopathy (if you would even be interested in that).

You’ve made some great points, I just want to add on: People can and do get addicted to doctor prescribed medication every day. I don’t know why the comment you replied to mentioned that, it’s basically irrelevant. It doesn’t really matter how he started it, he ended up just as addicted as any person buying illegal pills with no prescription. Also, there is a very standardized, safe process for withdrawing from benzodiazepines and as a former addiction counselor, I’ve seen thousands of people do…

Jesus I’m sorry about that guy. What a rude comment. He’s out of touch with reality, ignore him. I think it’s good that you posted here, you’re looking for help and trying to dig yourself out of a hole. It’s tough to ask for help, I think you’re brave for asking

Yeah, I’ve seen those. I’m just saying a lot of what you see online doesn’t actually represent the majority of women.

Do you have any proof of that?
/r/ExRedPill03/01/22 11:31 PM

Just to be clear, I’m a woman and I don’t mind cold approaches in public places. I’ve had guys hit on me in the gym or the supermarket and they were polite so it really didn’t bother me. I think the majority of women don’t mind being cold approached as long as you’re very polite, just be prepared to take a rejection respectfully.

I’m sorry it made you feel like shit, don’t let these assholes get you down. They’re brainwashed into looking at everything through a redpill lens and honestly I pity them, that’s such a terrible way to view the world. There’s no way these guys are happy

It’s kind of hard to say without knowing you, I don’t think there’s any one true belief system that works for everyone, I think different things work for different people. The red pill really reduces and simplifies down human behavior, it seems like it wants everyone to fit into one easily definable stereotype. But people just aren’t like that, we’re all very complex and unpredictable. If you’re looking for other philosophies to follow, just be very wary of anything that simplifies human behavio…

If you’re like most others in your situation, the red pill is probably what led you to the black pill in the first place. How will this time be different? This is like a drug addict replacing heroin with oxycodone. You’re gonna end up in the same place

/r/ExRedPill06/07/21 09:12 PM

Yeah, unfortunately I think Reddit is bad for most people’s mental health lol there seems to be way more sexism here than on other social media platforms

So I kind of agree with you. I do believe the media can affect our perceptions of the world, and the stories we tell ourselves and each other are important and do affect us. But I don’t think this one show will have quite as large an affect as you might think. I’m sure there are other guys watching it and maybe becoming more radicalized because this show confirms their world view. But I do think that’s probably a very small amount of people. I’ve never heard of this show, actually, so I don’t th…

Slow and subhuman? You're putting words in my mouth. Lots of people have weak critical thinking and reading comprehension skills, especially when they're young. That doesn't make them subhuman or dumb, and I never said it did, you know that. Again, a few women have been mean to you, so you conflate that with all women being mean to you, and then decide to hate all women - of course that is illogical. And of course that will impede your ability to connect with any woman. Its clear from this conve…

Wow. It's very clear, by his comments on here, why he struggles to connect with women, or probably any other person. He has some serious psychological issues, I hope he seeks help.
/r/ExRedPill23/05/21 06:54 PM
2

Where did I say you're not allowed to have sex? Again, you need to work on your critical thinking and reading comprehension skills. I said you shouldn't have sex because you need to mature first. "Shouldn't" does not mean "not allowed." It's clear that you hate women, so until that changes I hope you don't have sex with a woman because I would be deeply concerned about how you would probably treat her.
/r/ExRedPill23/05/21 06:52 PM
2

You’re probably right. I think he’s just a very unhappy person, troll or not
/r/ExRedPill23/05/21 06:37 PM
1

If you’re critical thinking skills are so weak that you took the words of a few women to be representative of all women and their sexual desires, then yes, you shouldn’t be having sex. You have some maturing to do first.
/r/ExRedPill23/05/21 06:36 PM
2

Where are your sources for this? How do you know so much about women and their desires? From your profile, it looks like you’re a man and a virgin. If that’s true, you have no authority to speak on women and their sexual desires, because you are not one and because you’ve never engaged in a sexual relationship with one.
/r/ExRedPill23/05/21 06:04 PM

That’s ridiculous. Women communicate with different types of men all the time.
/r/ExRedPill23/05/21 05:39 PM

Clearly, you’ve heard a lot of negative ideas about being “needy.” Like you said, this isn’t only common to redpill, it’s common in your larger community. So there’s a good chance she’s thinking the same thing - she’s probably also worried about coming off as too needy to you. She’s also probably been taught that women don’t initiate, that they should just wait around for the man to initiate. It could be different where you are, but I know in the US that is very common and it’s pretty abnormal f…

I also said I don’t think a straight up diagnosis of people you haven’t met is useful, with or without psychological training. You did not say that previously, but I’m glad we agree. Utilizing psychological research to analyze a worldview, not a person, is a great thing, I agree.

This is a good point.
/r/ExRedPill17/05/21 05:16 PM

Sure, like I said I agree that redpill is pathological. It has abusive and narcissistic tendencies, I agree with you there. What I don’t agree with is that there is ever an appropriate time to give someone a psychological diagnosis if you’ve only interacted with them online and never met them. Utilizing psychological research/evidence to do a “psychological analysis” is what psychologists already do to make diagnoses. The difference is that psychologists have extensive training and the know how …

You’re conflating self-absorbed with narcissistic. They’re not the same. NPD is very extreme.
/r/ExRedPill17/05/21 04:45 PM
3

I am very aware of the gendered differences in the psychological field. And I totally agree that the redpill ideology is pathological. That doesn’t mean that all, or even most, of the people who subscribe to redpill ideology are narcissists. I’m sure some of them are. But it’s important to be careful when we use the term narcissist, because using it too often cheapens its meaning. It’s not appropriate to give people you haven’t even met any mental health diagnosis.
/r/ExRedPill17/05/21 04:43 PM

I’m not a psychologist, but I’m a social worker who has a lot of experience with people with mental illness. Narcissistic personality disorder is exceedingly rare. Only about .5% of the US population has NPD. Comparatively, about 7% of the US has depression. Narcissistic is kind of a buzzword that’s been thrown around a lot lately but is very often used inaccurately. Another complicating factor with NPD is that almost everyone has some narcissistic traits. A certain level of narcissism is health…

I’ve definitely experienced what you’re struggling with! I’ve actually commented about this in the past. What helped me was being more discerning about the men I allowed in my life or allowed to be really close with me. And if I met a guy who I thought was a really good guy, I tried to focus a lot on him and his good traits, to help change my focus from focusing on the negatives of a lot of men’s behavior. It’s not easy, but there are some good men out there. I wouldn’t say I know a ton of good …

I think a lot of guys still stuck in the red pill mindset are struggling with confirmation bias. That’s exactly what I thought of when I read this post. You point out all of this evidence you’ve seen that confirms your beliefs, but there is a lot of readily available evidence that goes against those same beliefs. One good example is all of the male celebrities that aren’t mega hunks that still have a large female fanbase: Tom Hiddleston, Matthew Gray Gubler, Daniel Radcliffe, Harry Styles, and s…

This is such a great post! I love love your point about how red pill is kind of already baked into our society. Its just like this accepted truth (especially gender essentialism) but it’s so harmful and can lead down a really bad path. As a feminist, I’m so happy to have you! I love to see people benefitting from feminist work

I’m sure they are deeply traumatizing. But you’re conveniently ignoring some things. For one, I’m sure lots of men have had relationships with toxic or abusive women, maybe some had BPD, maybe some didn’t. Either way, not all of those men went on to embrace red pill theories and become misogynists. There are men who were treated really badly by women and still were able to recognize that all women aren’t like that. So what’s the difference between those guys and the guys who did get into RP afte…

Its really starting to seem like you’re trying to blame women for men becoming misogynists
/r/ExRedPill02/01/21 05:33 AM

Ok I see that. My point still stands though, believing everything these men say about their experiences with women is just being downright naive honestly.
/r/ExRedPill01/01/21 08:52 PM
3

I think the issue I have here is you seem to be taking these men at face value and believing everything they say about their experiences with women. I think a lot of them are being outright dishonest when they talk about experiences they had with women, or only presenting things through their perspective which is heavily tainted with misogyny. Red pill is an echo chamber, so a lot of this talk about “female nature” is just parroted catchphrases these guys heard other guys make. Don’t forget that…

Yeah - 1% of the total population is pretty rare. Especially compared to other mental disorders

As someone who works in mental health care, I honestly disagree with you on a lot of this. Personality disorders are exceedingly rare and there is no evidence that they are wildly underdiagnosed as you claim. Also, I don’t really think we can make any large claims about what attracts men to red pill ideology. I think there are a wide variety of reasons, and prior experience with mentally ill women is only one of many many other factors. We also can’t ignore how ubiquitous red pill ideas are in m…

Anecdotal experience isn’t strong enough to prove any claim wrong. That may be your personal experience, but you may just happen to live around people that are the exception to the rule.

If I were you I would try to seek out examples that prove redpill theory wrong. There are definitely couples with attractive women dating not so attractive guys, try to find some of those people to remind yourself that women aren’t only attracted to super hot, super tall guys. Also maybe try to just create some friendships with girls. If you become friends with a girl and she opens up to you about whatever guy she’s dating or crushing on or whatever, you’ll probably learn a lot more from that th…

Dehumanization - what I’m going to define as a process of choosing an enemy and demonizing them, making them seem inferior, and thus not worthy of humane treatment - is wrong no matter who it is directed towards. If I criticize incels, that’s acceptable but if I start dehumanizing them, by suggesting they’re less than human and possibly even deserving of violence, that would never be okay. Doxxing is also a very violent act, and it doesn’t matter the political ideology of the person doing the do…

It’s actually not that hard - look at all of the bullet points in this post. Using slurs, dehumanizing certain groups, justifying or even condoning violence based on the perceived superiority of one group over another, etc. Those are all pretty specific examples of what would be considered intolerant/hateful speech. I know you’re trying to make the argument that it’s a slippery slope, but it’s really not. Tolerant speech and intolerant speech are opposite things, there is a very large divide bet…

Have you heard of the paradox of tolerance? “In order to maintain a tolerant society, the society must be intolerant of intolerance.” Karl Popper is a philosopher from the early twentieth century who came up with this idea. He said “if we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and the tolerance with them.” Taking racist speech off of YouTube is n…
