The simplest and yet most valuable advice I can give you is as follows, don’t do anything else but this for the first couple of months: Buy a digital food scale Use app or diary to log the gram portions of foods you eat. (Hint, calories are measured in raw, uncooked food weight- example: weigh your dry rice before cooking.) Reduce caloric intake by maximum 500 calories per day from your maintenance calories (use TDEE calculator online to check what your maintenance calories are and be honest on …

I’m sure this will be downvoted, but this is only my own personal experience. Cycle tracking. I have never been on birth control, and my husband and I have unprotected sex regularly. I am really in tune with my body and I always know when I have entered my fertile window. If we have sex during this window, we use a condom. But outside of this window, we use no protection and sometimes pull out method and there has never been any issues. Birth control pills can be really harmful to many women’s h…

It’s a safety net, a security that I’ve never felt before. He draws the stress and worry out of me that the world places there and makes me feel like it’s okay to breathe and let me guard down. He makes me feel (in a not creepy way) like a little girl who is guarded and protected by her father. I can explore and have fun and he always has my back, making sure that I am safe while also loving me so much and making me feel that way. I love my husband. I always did, and I always will.

Yeah, listen, you’re not telling me anything. I eat very healthy and “clean” but I also know what it’s like to be in this persons shoes and first starting out. It’s important to take small steps and not go all in and overwhelm yourself in the beginning. That’s a recipe for failure and a low consistency rate. She wants to lose weight. The laws of thermodynamics apply to everyone. A proper calorie deficit will achieve this. Yes, when she loses weight, she will need to readjust her caloric intake, …

Hi, I’m gonna make this easy for you! Eat anything you want, BUT portion it out and count the calories. Forget “eating clean” and restricting yourself from foods you love. If you want pasta, weigh out your portion and count the calories. You need to eat in a calorie deficit in order to lose weight. You can focus on healthier choices and exercise later on. Those things come naturally when you realize that you can eat way more strawberries than you can cookies for the same amount of calories, and …

He seems quite manipulative, he is trying to turn things around on you to deflect discussing his own past behaviors / being a jerk about the breakup. Avoidance, and a huge red flag in my book. I would reconsider reconciliation with someone who would behave in this manner given the circumstances of you two being broken up, not to mention that this happened quite a while ago.

I’m also twenty years old. I feel you, I watch videos about making homemade baby food, read about pregnancy nutrition and parenting skills. I daydream about having a little baby bump and what it would be like to feel little kicks. I think it is our natural instincts, our bodies way of letting us know that we are ready. I know that for right now with my boyfriend and I, it could be irresponsible to bring a baby into this world. We travel too much, don’t have a home, and aren’t yet married. But I …
