Q: What is "the MRA movement"? A: There is no such thing as "the MRA movement". The "MRAs" that you describe are not an actual group of people, but an impressionistic average you have constructed in your head. Stop using false categories and outdated narratives. Ditch the middle-school tribalism. Don't be a checker player; this is chess. I know that reality is complex and messy sometimes, but don't you think it's time to grow up a little, and deal with it?

The "manosphere"? There is no such thing as this. . . "manosphere". I do not acknowledge any such concept - it's a word that the feminists like to throw around a lot, and I refuse to validate their linguistic constructions.

No, DO spread it to the masses. It will not make "us" look bad provided that "we" issue a proper "FYI" disclaimer along with the item itself.

You should keep an eye on the twisted political narrative which this is embedded in. Context is important -- well, sometimes at least.

But it's not the "MRM" (whatever that is) which is theoretically at issue here. It's the computer gaming community.

Please share this widely, via twitter, Facebook, e-mail, blog posts, forum posts, etc...etc....etc.... We know nothing for sure, but we want to put this on the table anyway. You never know.

Well, no. Feminism is nothing more than female supremacism. Plain and simple. Everything which feminism does is for the purpose of "empowering" women, and this will continue with no upper limit. Just watch.

You'd be amazed how many people cannot wrap their minds around the idea that "men's rights are human rights." It sounds completely basic, but plenty of people struggle to comprehend it, and sometimes it even makes them violently angry!

Feminists have long argued that rape must be treated like any other crime. I don't know where Naomi Wolf gets THAT idea. Feminists have only ever argued that rape is "uniquely horrible" in a class by itself, and that extraordinary measures are needed to combat it. It looks to me like Naomi Wolf is LYING - but that is what feminists do, after all, so this oughtn't surprise us.

Nobody actually believes that feminists envision this as a tool for false accusations. Well, no. Some feminists actually DO look at it that way.

It is unfortunate that Cristina Hoff Sommers chooses to stick the word "feminist" to herself. She ought to know better. It is perverse - like me calling myself a fish, or whatnot.

You make it sound like there is a fundamental polarity with "radical MRAs" on one side, and "radical feminists" on the other. That is a false duality, a false narrative, and a false framing of the actual state of affairs. It sets us up for the logical fallacy that "the truth must be somewhere in the middle." A more correct framing of the situation would be, that there is a cancer called "feminism" spreading through the social body, and that this cancer must be removed before it brings about the …

All the men I have talked to, from such countries as India, have assured me that the horror stories which get into the Western press (concerning rape, male violence etc, in such countries) are grossly exaggerated and distorted.

If they are wise, those wonderful, normal feminists whom you speak of will renounce the word "feminist" as a self-appellative label. They can keep their belief system, but they must stop calling themselves feminists.
/r/MensRights01/09/13 03:34 AM

My answer is, no. Feminism cannot exist side by side with any social movement that promotes the human rights of males. It is a contradiction in terms, a logical impossibility. The two things necessarily exclude each other. Feminism is the project to increase the power of women with no proposed endpoint, and there is simply no way that such a project would comport with a movement that promotes the human rights of males. The conflict of interest would be radical, and a clash would be inevitable so…

Stardusk, in one of his videos, aptly opines that for the pro-male community to be "inclusive of feminism" is somewhat like a flock of sheep becoming "inclusive of" a wolf pack.

The trouble with feminism is that it singles out the hard knocks experienced by women specifically, and puts these on their own special pedestal, and shines a special floodlight on them. Feminism is all about making women "special" in that way. Men, not so much. Feminism also flat-out invents stuff whenever it gets a chance.

Hello. Fidelbogen here. Most of the commenters on here have absolutely no freaking clue what I'm actually talking about in this video, (platonic essentialism -- wtf?? Warren Farrell -- wtf?? Carol Gilligan -- wtf??) Yup, most of the talk on here is irrelevant blather. And to be honest, I haven't got the patience to shovel such a muddled mudslide. So, jabber on dudes. There are plenty others out there who know exactly what I'm talkin' bout.

Celda, since you seem to be the one who dumped my article into the 'misogynist' category, maybe you can explain why the hell it ought to be considered "misogynistic". Cogent analysis please. No emotional reasoning -- I haven't got time to listen to that.

Do you believe that there is no "good" feminism?
/r/MensRights02/08/12 08:56 PM

I would recommend using the word "sex" rather than "gender". The feminists programmed us to say "gender" and it's time to de-program.
/r/MensRights02/08/12 08:55 PM
-1

No. I am not re-defining it. I am defining it. It doesn't make a spit of difference what any feminist "believes" feminism is. The authority to define feminism is not limited to a particular set of people who might happen to say "I am a feminist". If you declare yourself a NON-feminist, then you are, by implication, defining feminism. And you have full authority to do this.
/r/MensRights15/06/12 12:52 AM

Basically, anything that would tend to make men strong and independent, is opposed by feminism. Anything which is explicitly pro-male, is opposed by feminism. That's a good way to figure out what feminism really is. Just look at any issue in question, and discern precisely how it would alter the male-female power differential. The constant endeavor of feminism, is to alter that differential in favor of women in every way possible. That's the bottom line of the matter, which tells the real story.
/r/MensRights15/06/12 12:44 AM
1

You have at least implied that you are a non-feminist. That said, how do you feel about the colonizing aggression of feminism toward the non-feminist sector? Surely, as a non-feminist, you'd have something to say about that. . . yes?
/r/MensRights15/06/12 12:37 AM

What needs to be established here, is the objective "hatefulness" of the laws and mores in question. Remember that mores per se were different in times past, and so we must guard against the lensing effect that would arise when we view past mores from the standpoint of our own, historically present mores.

"Defining" feminism is like "defining" a landscape, or a complex, holistic system. You cannot "define" these things, you can only describe them.
/r/MensRights14/06/12 10:03 PM
-3

Here's a clue for you. Feminism as a whole depends upon the hateful part in order to remain vital. If you throw out the 'hateful' part of feminism, all you'll have left will be a mass of wishy-washy liberal humanist pabulum that most people would agree with anyway. To put it more simply: whatever is good about feminism is not original, and whatever is original about feminism is not good. The word feminism itself (the WORD, mind you) ought to be repudiated by any person who wishes to be generally…
/r/MensRights14/06/12 09:58 PM

No. You can most certainly (effectively) criticize feminism "as a whole". Entire schools of thought within the pro-male project have been dedicated to precisely that task. The only "diversity" within feminism is the many, many shades and styles of BAD. Your remarks are pure bromide.
/r/MensRights14/06/12 09:51 PM

"Egalitarianism" is a wishy-washy intellectual cop-out. If you can explain precisely what you mean by "equality" -- in non-mathematical terms, I mean -- then we might get somewhere. "Ranting" about feminism (define 'ranting' please) is a vitally important activity. I prefer to call it agitation. It blasts loose and re-suspends the calcified muck of settled ideas within the culture, and lays the necessary groundwork for any paradigm-shift that is needed. Feminism categorically IS THE PROBLEM. So …

If you support "the Rights of Men", then you will automatically come into conflict with feminism. The idea that an "MRA" would support feminism is utterly outlandish and bizarre. Like a fish with feathers, or a snake with antlers.
/r/MensRights14/06/12 09:32 PM

The value of the term 'feminism' may be set equal to 'female supremacism'. As for a definition, we may define 'feminism' as "the project to increase the power of women." Under the sector system, feminism categorically IS what we (non-feminists) say it is. By linguistic fiat. The burden is upon the self-declared feminist to demonstrate that he/she does not fit the profile. I think that a lot of the confusion here can be cleared up if we realize that feminism is a social organism, whose parts (eit…

"it seems that the majority of people lump mens rights with misogny and extreme conservatism. " And the truly ironic thing is that most people have no frickin' idea what they are talking about when they throw those words around. Very few people have any clear idea what those words actually mean. "Misogyny" is the worst. Another danger here is that "the movement" will gradually get infiltrated by "soft MRAs", and little by little watered down into something that you could almost call. . .ahem!. . . feminism. So we need to Keep It Radical . . . but we need to do this with class. The question is, how? I've been thinking about that problem for a long time.

"Mangina" is a good, red-blooded insult directed at male political traitors in particular, and in principle I see no objection to it. However, I do not use this term for stylistic reasons; it is too much of a cliche.
/r/MensRights28/12/11 05:04 AM

I have been called a "misogynist" a fair number of times, but never did that accusation have a shred of intellectual truth about it -- the person was always an emotional ninny refusing to address the argument which I had carefully laid out.

Oh believe me, the rabbit hole goes way deeper than those "fifty" people. But the primary purpose behind all of this is to out the true character of feminism, and finally ram it into the heads of all the mental slowpokes, simpletons, fence-sitters, etc.

"Falsely" accusing them? Then, you do not believe they are trying to start genocide? For the record, nobody has "accused" these people of anything. Their words have been exposed. That is all. And people are free to form their conclusions. It is imperative that the true nature of feminism be outed. And the present scandal could have that effect. At the very least, feminism will never be quite so smug and sassy again, after this little experience. If this episode puts feminism permanently ON THE D…

The idea of this was to reveal the true nature of feminism to the world in a dramatic way. Hopefully, it will have that effect.

Bosh! Feminism IS WHAT IT IS. And if you want to know what feminism IS, then all you must do is look at the real world and SEE what it is. Where do feminists get this weird idea that they are the only ones authorized to say what feminism "IS"? The rest of the world can see what feminism is, very plainly, and their word carries weight.
/r/MensRights22/12/11 12:59 AM

Feminism in its "true form". What kinda steaming horseplop is THAT? Reminds me of the "No True Scotsman" fallacy. FYI, feminism in its "true form" is what we can plainly SEE when we look at what is happening in the world. And if you have been paying attention, then you will SEE that it ain't pretty. "By their fruits ye shall know them."

There is no "men's rights movement". It is WAY bigger than that, and it will just morph into a hundred new shapes anyway. The underlying energy cannot be contained.

Nowadays, when households are fragmenting every which-ways, the idea of one vote per household is meaningless. 1 vote per household at least underpinned and underwrote the sanctitude and stability of such social units in the days when such things still existed.

The takeaway point from all of this, is that women have it pretty damned good compared to men. So pay no attention to all the feminist claptrap about the oppression of women. As men collectively, we have no obligation toward women collectively. "Men collectively" is a mental spook. "Women collectively" is a mental spook. And you needn't worry your head about the relationship between one mental spook and another. And FEMINISM. . . is nothing but a political conjuring trick based upon mental spook…

Please phase out the words "MRM" and "MRA", and seek alternative terminologies. These words encourage the feminists to fall into the crosshairs fallacy, which makes them feel smug about themselves. We want them, instead, to wander in a mental wilderness -- dazed and confused about the nature of the forces which are lining up against them. So please. . . vary your rhetoric. It will assist the cause more than you are presently aware.

If you're so damned cool, best stop calling yourself a "feminist". Keep your belief system if you wish. . . but think of a different name for yourself. The word feminist is permanently tainted. Not unlike "national socialist".

"hetero" means heterosexual. "cis" means "not trans". You know, the vast majority of people. "normativism" means acting like you are the norm.

"Feminism" is simply a word. And words, all by themselves, have no meaning. You must GIVE them a meaning. So, give the word 'feminism' a meaning. All 'feminists' who don't fit that meaning are free to find another word for themselves.

For that to happen, they would need to get apprehended.

Nah. It was "links-faschos" feminists and their pals. The same ones who "took it to the streets" in Zurich last year at the first IGAF meeting.

"Patriarchy" is a feminist codeword for "any form of male power." When they talk about getting rid of "patriarchy", they mean "empowering" women by removing power from men. Get the full details here: http://counterfem.blogspot.com/2006/11/what-they-dont-want-you-to-know.html

Cooperation with feminism is impossible because feminism IS female supremacism. And I for one cannot "cooperate" with female supremacism. I mean.. me being male and all...

If you don't "buy" the us v. them model.... Then be prepared to live in the feminist category by DEFAULT. Either get off the fence...or you will be pushed off.

WRONG. There are only two sides. Feminism. . . and non-feminism. Either you are a feminist. . . or you are not a feminist. There is NO middle ground. And remember -- non-feminism DEFINES feminism.

"The feminists would argue that MRAs only care about raped men because they disprove feminist theory." The feminists only say THAT because it distracts from the fact that raped men really do disprove feminist theory.

Oh...but feminism DOES mean something. It means <i>female supremacism</i>, very cleanly and precisely. I should know; I've written about this plenty. And so have others.

"What about those of us who think that the use of hateful language, no matter the gender of the people involved, is not right?" Sigh...! This world is a rough-and-tumble place sometimes, and personally, I wouldn't have it any other way. If this disturbs you, then I'd advise you to stay in the parlour sipping tea with your sensitive, cultivated acquaintances. It takes all sorts, and the world is plenty big enough to accomodate. Would you care for some crumpets with that tea?

Yes, an homogenous view of feminism IS the answer. We in the activated non-feminist sector are NOT impressed by that stale old tripe about "feminism is not monolithic". Feminism is very much indeed monolithic. It is a social organism (or mechanism) which operates according to a program. Your car is not "monolithic" -- the various devices under the hood differ greatly from each other: the radiator, the fuel pump, the water pump, etc etc. . . And yet, all of these parts are "monolithically" dedica…

It makes just as much sense to say that the "MR movement" is "full of" some other category of people -- if you find such people in numbers. Besides that. . . there IS no "MR movement". There is a lot of confused motion. . . but hardly a "movement" in any way that I would recognize. Although I admit that I call it a "movement" sometimes for the sake of linguistic convenience. As for the IGAFD: I am going to agree that it is "men's rights plus", and that I would take issue with some of the 'plus' …

Considering the number of feminists who drip man-hatred as venom from a cobra's fangs, I find it hard to support the idea that feminism has "very little to do with screwing over men on purpose." It has EVERYTHING to do with that. You need only look at the world with your own eyes, and SEE FOR YOURSELF what is happening. Feminism as a sociopolitical organism could not logically or structurally continue to exist without misandry as a motivating core.

These do not DIRECTLY harm men, but then, you are looking at the world through a narrow cardboard tube. Feminism may be minimally defined as "the project to increase the power of women". Feminism ALSO seeks to damage men, but increasing the power of women is a constant -- since the more power women have, the less power men will have in proportion, and therefore, the more power (proportionally) women (read: feminists) will have to subjugate men. Go to gynotheory.blogspot.com and read everything y…

The terminology is all in a tangle, so don't tangle your head too much trying to understand it. Basically, there are two positions to take: either feminist, or non-feminist. A wealth of detail unfolds from this -- most of it unnecessary.

Nay. The healing process begins only AFTER the enemy quits lacerating your flesh. So, first the war. Then we'll talk about "healing".

Would you care to suggest that appeasement and "acting nice" is the appropriate way to deal with a bully? How would playing nice with feminism enhance political viability and "advance the cause of men harmed" in the current (feminist) environment? Might it not be said that such a policy is what harmed those men in the first place? And so, will the leopard change its spots?
/r/MensRights21/02/11 05:22 AM

The injustice to men in this case is misandry. Any form of information that would clarify the actual percentage-wise distribution of bad behavior, rather than blaming everything on men as much as possible (in the feminist way) is both constructive and relevant. Anti-male propaganda must be countered by every means available.

I will venture just a little bit for starters. Women are legally able to "opt out" of parenthood, but men are not. In what way does THAT fact operationalize the concept of "equality" in the context of reproductive rights? Parse the semantics if you are so inclined. . .

I like your spirit. BTW. . I have been toying with the idea of starting a web forum with the expressed "mission" of establishing and propagating a particular doctrine and message discipline -- very much along the lines that you sketch here. The first plank in the platform would be, that "FEMINISM IS THE ENEMY -- and if you don't accept that for starters, why are you even here....?" It would not be a place for "open debate" -- but only debate within established parameters. Come to think of it, ex…

Also, bear in mind that feminism is a sociopolitical organism greater than the sum of its parts. The best way I can put this is to modify a famous snippet by the feminist Susan Brownmiller, to read as follows: "The fact that some feminists are evil manhaters makes it unnecessary for all of them to be so." To get Brownmiller's original version, supply "rapists" for "evil manhaters." Capisch?

If you mean to say that the original version (with "feminists") is equally absurd, then. . wrong. There are essential, structural qualitative differences between feminism and "MRAism", which invalidate the analysis you have attempted here. I would summarize it succinctly as follows: Both "movements" contain people who hate the opposite sex. Difference is, that if you removed all of the haters from feminism, then feminism would collapse and cease to exist. But if you removed the haters from the M…

These uncompromising lectures will provide plenty of material to rectify the thinking of those who cannot or will not "get" that feminism is THE ENEMY. There is nothing quite like this in the entire body of MRA literature to date.

If you are at all serious about "doing a number" on feminism, as an ideology and as a movement, then Adam Kostakis's weekly GC Theory Lectures are a must-read. Lecture No. 7 is presently at the top of the stack, but you can read the entire lot of them if you click the links in the sidebar. http://gynotheory.blogspot.com/2011/02/personal-as-contrasted-to-political.html

The problem is, that the "pendulum" analogy is misleading in this case. If there is any so-called pendulum to be found, it exists only because somebody is proactively PULLING it back. It is not "swinging" back by any law inherent to itself. The innate tendency of feminism is to keep going and going and going like a runaway train. NOT a "pendulum" in any sense whatsoever. I would consider the following a "must read" -- but pay special attention to where he talks about the tri-partite division of …

Rather than say feminist "policies", it is more fruitful to say feminist "tendencies". Consider the following items: VAWA, paternity fraud, false accusation of rape, false accusation of domestic violence, false accusation of child abuse, false accusation of sexual harassment, false domestic violence statistics, dishonest research methodologies, destruction of equal protection under law for men. . . and the list could go on. All of these items were either initiated, practiced or sanctioned by fem…

As far as I'm concerned, if ownership of the term 'equality' is to be assigned in any way at all, then it ought to go to the mathematicians. Only in the realm of math does the concept make any consistent, coherent sense. So my problem with "equality" is on semantic grounds. The whole idea is bullshit right from the root. In purely philosophical terms, "equality" is an essentially contested concept. Whenever you want to talk about "equality" in a non-mathematical context, you should stop and thin…

Thank you for the clarification -- it conveys the world at least somewhat more toward a convergence of understanding. If you were to reframe your original question in light of the reply that you have just given me (so that my previous comment would be rendered unnecessary from the get-go), how might you compose this? I am curious.

The question is, who is actually thinking that? The question you have framed here is rather close to being a strawman. Did somebody say that "ALL" feminists are misandrists? Well I, for one, never said that. The actual truth is more complex and subtle. The actual truth is that feminism is a sociopolitical organism, and like all organisms it is composed of separate parts with separate functions that are nonetheless united by an underlying organic purpose. So I think it is more illuminating to say…
