Most polling finds the average woman dislikes the average man far more than he dislikes them. Way more men have positive opinions on women than vice versa.

And that negative attitude towards men doesn't become real life hostile behavior, either?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 11:07 AM

This 'negative attitude' isn't hate. It's disappointment Maybe for you, personally. But go on social media pretty much anywhere. A lot of people proudly call themselves misandrists, and it's been exceedingly normalized with a lot of horrid attitudes and dispositions towards men in pop culture, society, and media. It's hard to just say it's disappointment at this point, because that implies a desire for improvement or trust to begin with.

That would really hold more credibility if you didn't have the Western Left dancing around the issue entirely and being unable to criticize if not just outright enabling everything about the worst aspects of Islamic views. At best you get it if it's a way to weaponize it against the Right.

That’s incredibly dishonest and you know it. Legitimate question: would you rather live anywhere in the West? Or Afghanistan or Iran? Because if you genuinely see no difference in the disposition of the men from those societies, you’re hopeless.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 11:44 AM

I genuinely can’t tell if you’re saying men or women did, because I think you’re meaning the latter but your wording is saying the former. Both are true, but eh.

Is that why you do, despite most of your comments being inflammatory snarks?

You typed that all and answered your own question. Why was that politically costly when it pertained to a group without suffrage? Because there were men who wanted women to vote. The only people who voted were the only ones who were allowed to vote. <image> Men voted for women to vote. A majority of men felt women should be able to vote. That doesn’t mean you should be eternally grateful for people who are dead, but that men actively voted to make it happen. You could be from Afghanistan where y…

... Yeah, you're definitely an abuser. That's an insane reach from someone disagreeing with you on the internet. You remind me of a guy I met in a gaming club Okay? I'm not any of those things, but sure. Not even remotely obese or have hygiene issues. So far your argument is that I'm fat and smelly. Which if you're honestly 40+ old is an incredibly embarrassing level of Ad Hominem, because small children argue like that. But go on. Who voted and granted for those rights? Legitimately, who? Men who sympathized or agreed.

Oh, please. Don't insult my intelligence. While you give condescending insults to mine. Men know they are abusers and then cry when they get the teeniest pushback. Massive overgeneralization and you know it, but I doubt you know anything about healthy views on others or interpersonal relationships. Also, like the tiny bit of pushback I gave then you wrote two paragraphs over it? Considering you have half the comments denying there is widespread misandry, then the other outright boasting about it and saying it’s “our turn,” yeah. Abusers often view themselves as the victim. Not sure in the way you intended it, but definitely.

Yeah, screw men for wanting to give women equal rights. That’s why we need to double down harder until these egalitarian societies completely crumble, and far more repressive ones replace them. That’ll definitely show ‘em.

It’s okay, my bad.

And you're gonna face whatever consequences come from that payback anyway. What things has he done to merit "payback"? End of the day it's best to choose what will make the world better Like not hating half of humanity for their sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 06:03 AM

After centuries of women being demeaned we have a handful of women making boundaries clear aggressively I fail to see how saying men under 6'1 aren't real men as "making boundaries clear aggressively." Or making videos shaming men for walking past them in a gym. Or calling regular guys "chopped" or "medium ugly," then complaining about wasting time on "ugly men." That's not making boundaries clear, that's vapid, uncontrolled narcissism being fed by a bunch of screaming, delusional people. And yo…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 06:01 AM

I get it, but go on social media. Anywhere, really. Hating on men or giving brutally shallow opinions or denigration of men is openly celebrated. If you call it out, you get accused of misogyny. And this includes things like shaming men for being average or short in height, not having gym bodies, or not competing with their “book boyfriends.”
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 12:15 AM

Yeah.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 01:06 AM

I do. Though truthfully, my offline hobbies aren’t very popular with women or easy to meet women with. The music concerts and shows I go to aren’t huge with women. The club dance event tend to have way more men than women, but are just hard to meet people at. The DND stuff that I do, if women show up they’re in large groups or keep exclusively to themselves.

That seems to be the obvious solution, but I don’t drink. And dating my coworkers isn’t an attractive prospect. Even meeting people in person has led to similar experiences of being played with.

Dude, most guys would just want a relationship. At this point, I've been fucked around and led on so many times that I'm kind of just frustrated. Feel like I'm endlessly giving for people who don't value me. And I'm getting matched with people who demand I take them to Michellin star restaurants for a first date, then get upset when I give pushback on a 1-2 hour commute.

Those numbers don’t lineup with how many men identify as single, though. So unless that figure has also changed or there’s a lot of open relationships, people cheating, or women who think they’re in a relationship when the partner doesn’t view it as that, then it doesn’t add up.

The unfortunate reality is that men caring more about looks than personality when dating actually works out in women's favour. If men were to focus mainly on personality and character they would realise how basic and self centered a lot of women are, which would lead to women having less options. I think there's truth to that to an extent. But a lot of it really amounts to sex is hard to acquire as a man. There is scarcity. So men with lots of options accept bad options till they find something …

I think another part of it is that these communities ban women who dissent. Dissenters are banned and social media greatly favors whiners. I think there's varying degrees of truth to what you said, but especially on reddit of all places, it's going to aggressively skew towards those types.

I don't want to just criticize you, but if you have never had a boyfriend and your relationships never amount to anything serious, yet the people claim to want something serious, this likely means a few things: you are not being discerning in who you share your body and intimacy with. It's not 100% foolproof guarantee, but if you have intimacy before a commitment is made, you have to accept the possibility that there might not be a future. It might not be what you want it be and you have to acce…

I think most guys try not to ask. They’d rather not know, and a lot of men presume most girls sleep around to an absurd degree. A former coworker of mine who was married at 26 straight up told me “whatever number she tells you, multiply it by 5.” My first relationship was with someone who invited every male friend from high school to have sex with her. Only one of them declined. It’s fundamentally easier for the vast majority of women to be a hoe than it is for men to be hoes. And the girls my f…

Part of the problem with modern relationships is that you have average people feeling like they’re settling when they picked someone else who’s average. But that average person likely has their heart tied to someone who used them for sex.

Maybe I'm too bitter with my own life experiences. I've seen too many things from friends and family. Had too many abusive stepfathers with known criminal records and drug problems that my mom ignored, especially after every male in her life raised concerns. Personal: low self esteem, low signaling, emotionally unavailable, depressed, Thankfully, those are all things that can be worked on. The fact you can recognize it in yourself is a good first step. A relationship isn't a guarantee of saving your self worth and image. But the first steps are working on you, working on bettering those qualities you feel are deficient. I’m older now so for me it’s a wrap (for others I know that’s not true so I only speak for myself here) I mean, that depends on you…

I don't think she punished me for it, neither did I phrase it like that. I should have probably given an example of someone I know for genuinely being punished for honesty. Though it was an extreme examples of a good relationship that lasted for months ending seemingly within 1-2 days, which probably if I hadn't brought it up, we'd still be together since she admitted it was due to fear. This is a notable example in my life, but I was very upfront that I wanted to have kids someday. My ex was incredibly terrified of the concept of childbirth, as well as the fear she would be a bad mother. So she ended the relationship and every woman in my life told me that I shouldn’t have been upfront about it, that she would’ve changed her mind. And that I should’ve accepted her suggestion we do FWB because she would’ve likely changed her mind, but I wanted her to move on. What various people…

Because if this person was a man, 110% they’d be getting tarred and feathered with the incel label. Being picky is fine and all, being delusional and completely lacking self-awareness is another.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/26 09:02 PM

Because in-group preferences and tribalism are one hell of a drug, and people would rather argue than admit that if this person was a man, they’d be quick to call them an incel.

The vibe I got was that you were opposed to coffee or lower risk activities. If you’re not, then my apologies. First date, coffee is totally fine. That should be the great filter. If you guys make it past that, then start considering dinner or other higher investment dates. My ex and I had lunch, it was a teahouse that served food. I think for some people, I might’ve. But most people in online forums aren’t going to change their worldview after one conversation. You’re lucky if they’re respectful to you within it. A lot of people come here for PVP, to entertain themselves and argue. Especially when most of these conversations amount to personal and anecdotal experiences, everyone has a different perspective on reality that violently clashes with someone else’s.

Being penetrated by someone I was attracted to, a woman, would not be the same thing as being penetrated by another man. Most lesbians would agree with that, as would most straight or bi men. Men here think letting anyone penetrate you is / can be pleasurable no matter what. And really being penetrated is so much more vulnerable than being the penetrator. While there's certainly some people that might be hyperbolic and say that everyman is fundamentally interchangeable, I don't think most men he…

I know guys who have stayed in bad relationships because they genuinely loved that person. I also know a lot of men who have stayed, but decided the relationship was never going to progress beyond a certain point explicitly because of who she was as a person. The sad reality is that rejection for women is often backloaded. Because of scarcity, men will often stay in a bad arrangement where their heart left awhile ago because it satisfies some of their emotional or sexual needs. It sucks, but som…

It does give them options, but the reality is that unattractive people don't want to be with other unattractive people. And if you can hook up with a guy you do find attractive, but can't get him too commit, a lot of people start resenting the options that will for them. It sucks, hookup culture has made hypergamy at the forefront of dating.

Probably for the same reason r/ForeverAloneWomen had to go private. The users were getting a ton of messages from men offering to date them. Maybe it's not exactly a blast having casual, meaningless sex with men who only want to masturbate using your body, but never stay with you long-term. But a lot of people are supposedly happy with the status quo, which is why some people scream about single women being happier or living longer or not needing men as some victory against men.

You’re not wrong. The type of men that often engage in casual sex often look down on the women for engaging in it. At the same time, most guys really don’t want to learn their girlfriend threw out her standards like character to sleep with the biggest, sleaziest douchebag around in a hookup. But had so little confidence in him that their intimacy was months to years down the line. And - ahum - its incredibly convenient that visiting the local prostitute or fucking a slave didn't mess up the man's pair bonding. Kind of does to varying degrees and leads to unstable and unhealthy societies long-term. The ones closer to truer monogamy usually stay more stable or productive. It is less damaging for male psychology, but it's also not good for them.

I mean that's normal social skills of non verbal communication? Seems like most men are picking up on it just fine. Yes, that's absolutely why women almost never approach or make the first move. Or ask a guy out in rare circumstances. Or why so many women stigmatize a man making that approach at all except if it's online or on a dating app. If you listened to those same people, you'd think there is absolutely no set of circumstances where you can publicly or privately approach a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 01:55 AM

I’d agree if someone has unreasonably high standards. But if a guy posts that same exact thing you said, but inverted, the responses light up with people accusing you of encouraging women to date men they are not attracted to. You should be attracted to your partner. But you also shouldn’t be shallow as your primary attraction, as well as being realistic.

But what’s the fix to women not dating men they are not attracted to? I can't really say what because I don't know what you personally are attracted to. If it's stereotypically masculine things, then that can be expressed in a healthy and unhealthy way. If you are picking charismatic, socially capable people with the most initial attraction possible, then you have to be prepared for things when your blinders wear off. The best fix is to ask yourself what you are attracted to. And compare that to…

They even had the gall to lie and pretend like they find me attractive. I called them out on this and they get mad that I point out their obvious lies. This is why girls get such late diagnoses. Men and women do not have their brains wired in the same way. And part of it is being better at masking compared to men. And it's a spectrum for a reason. Not every single person on the spectrum is on it to the same degree. I dated a girl on the spectrum briefly and I could tell pretty fast that she was on it on our first actual date. I call bullshit. It has the potential of misleading a person and setting the wrong intentions. There's too many posts you see online of people complaining that a man tried getting to know her, but he actually wanted a romantic or sexual relationship. /r/PurplePillDebate21/10/25 12:19 AM

My guess is because emotionally and in term of success rate, being friends beforehand usually just doesn't happen often. If a girl wants to be more than friends, then that relationship generally happens pretty early on. If she doesn't, it means becoming emotionally invested into a one-sided romantic pursuit that doesn't go anywhere but pain. It disproportionately doesn't go anywhere. If she was going to have feelings for you, it usually arises towards the beginning. I have a lot of female friend…

They are choices made out of want and desire not necessity. Truthfully, everyone needs everyone. Modern society has convinced people that they don't. And part of why things are going belly up at the moment. I do think you're dead-on about the previous parts, though.

Usually, most of the guys I've met who've stayed justified it if they had a scarcity mindset. Or just didn't want to leave due to emotional reasons, so they justified staying for physical ones. A few of the guys I know who said this were being cheated on. One of which later talked about marrying her... I think he loved her and was in denial, that he needed to feel like he wasn't attached. That being said, I met a player who quietly quit his relationship. He'd take her on trips, but would only ha…

I responded to a person on r/Hinge once who said any downvotes they were getting were proof that the "bar is in hell," when they were claiming they would not date anyone doing a "low-effort" date like going to a park, hike, or a dog walk rather than an expensive dinner on the first date. The people who I met off of dating apps were way more likely to have that "be my dancing monkey" mindset. And most people meet off of dating apps. I've met enough men who've told me they've stayed in bad relationships for the sex being a high reason. Or getting access to it. Some people are just desperate.

If this were the case, why don’t more men just leave after the sex gets routine? It’s more rare for men to be the ones to pull the plug even on bad relationships. It’s almost like maybe they’re benefiting in ways they don’t want to acknowledge. I'd agree with this except maybe that last part. Mostly because I've met enough men who've admitted to me that they've stayed in bad relationships for the sex. Or just because they felt too emotionally invested to walk away. So partly for some of the same…

It is a lot better to be in no relationship than to be in a bad relationship with someone who drains you and makes your life worse. I understand what they mean with it being substantially easier for women to find a viable partner, but I overall see the wisdom of just walking away rather than staying for something terrible.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/25 09:31 AM

That doesn't consider other filters, either by men or women. This is assuming they are going for someone without other filters, like their race, religion, politics, or just personal interests. That's assuming everyone in that other 49-60% would actually want to date them. And that's not considering how many more roadblocks there are for a man to even find a partner these days. If you're awkward or shy, that's an even bigger hurdle. And that type of guy is the most likely to be a virgin. Even if …
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/25 08:22 AM

I think all of those are probably true, definitely for some. I think the other is just that some people are hypocrites and need to blame someone else.

From numbers I’m finding online, 40% to 51% of women surveyed wouldn’t date a virgin. Considering that the vast majority of dudes are struggling with dating, most guys don’t have the ready ability to just find a new person readily, that’s highly incentivizing dishonesty or soliciting a prostitute if a guy is one.

Depends on how spaced out those dates are, how much contact is in between, how long the dates are, etc. As well as what happens. If your dates are just 1-2 hours of hanging out once or twice a week, then yeah. If your dates are 3-6 hours of hanging out, with constant messaging or phone calls in-between, then it'd be weird to think you're just 'casual' at that point. is a weird recent internet phenomenon. It's more common I think for a woman to be in one with a man, than vice versa. But we usually look at a male in a situationship as getting led on or breadcrumbed. As in the relationship never actually happens. Rarely does that have physical intimacy in the male version of it, though it does happen.

Having a scarcity mindset can lead to you making bad decisions. If men believe that being alone is worse than paying more than they truly want to, that’s on them I think there's truth to that. I wouldn't say the choice should be a binary of dating or not dating, holding out for someone you go 50/50 on everything with. Why is staying friends with someone going to hurt you emotionally? Depends on the situation, but if your feelings are already romantic, then they have the chance of growing stronger as you become closer or fonder with someone. And inevitably, if someone rejects you, they will eventually find someone else. Then staying while they are entangled with that person, becoming further invested into a dead-end of a relationship is not healthy. You can absolutely be friends with someone who rejected you. …

That kind of depends, though. If staying friends with someone is going to hurt you emotionally, then it's probably healthier to start putting distance. Dontdatehimgirl.com had this exact situation. It didn't end well for that site and they had to settle out of court, cutting the database part. How is it possible for women to simultaneously have unrealistic standards but also have such an easy time getting men. According to redpill, all women want the top 20 percent of men, but then wouldn’t that leave 80 percent of women single? But they’re not? They are claiming those women aren't in genuine relationships. That they're being used for situationships, hookups, or that they're getting cheated on by guys spinning plates with several other women. Really, most women probably have reasonabl…

I don't get why someone would default to dinner first. Granted, I've had an okay dinner date as the first one before. But it didn't go anywhere past the second date, and I get the vibe that person went on a lot of 'first dinner dates' based on things they told me.

I think part of it is the photos and the bio. But a lot of our culture has prioritized so many others things, that a guy who gives the girl the tingles or is a great lay is usually the preferred option. Then a lot of girls work backwards to try and change that guy to be their ideal partner, while not getting a commitment or being treated like crap.

I feel like we probably are there, but that's something I'm willing to say might just be anecdotal on my part. If I might ask: are you in America? That doesn't weaken my arguments here at all. Everything I said still holds true even with that in mind. So does everything else I said. The point isn't to argue but to discuss, which you instantly downvoted my reply, so I doubt we're in agreement on that. What we can abstract from this is, a lack of social continuity post-high school or college is the problem. While I agree with a lot of what you are saying: The biggest radical change that men can do for themselves is set up more social resources for each other. Normalize hugs between men. Normalize asking your bro how he's doing. Teach little boys how to be comfortable in their own company and find productivity in themselves and their own hobbies. Isn't this already normalized? Online dating is a biased group to study to begin with. When you give people stats, especially in the context of meeting a complete stranger, By current stats, it's the leading method in which couples meet. As in a majority of people, not a plurality, meet online. Coupled with a lot of other stats, the outlook is not so good.

Kind of depends. Some people are caked in makeup to where you can tell. Other people you can tell there's a light amount, but not too much. My ex was generally good about it, and you couldn't tell in photos she was wearing a ton. But she was also deeply insecure about it, like she would make sure her ex-fiance would only ever see her with makeup on by letting him go to sleep first, and her waking up before he did to put makeup on so he never saw her without it.

Kindness is something a lot of women can and will be attracted to. At the same time, cruelty backed by power is something a lot of women can be attracted to. If a guy is just "nice" and not attractive, and doesn't seem powerful, then he's like the equivalent of being attracted to a cardboard cut out. If a guy is attractive and people respect his cruelty, he can afford to be cruel without retaliation, then a lot of girls will be attracted to that.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 11:23 PM

This is pretty much my main reason for not participating in this, the secondary is that I don't think casual sex or hooking up is good for men or women. Because you can never shop at a store and be 100% certain the employees are being treated properly, even with laws and regulations. And that is same with sex work, except an employee getting abused in sex work is generally far more life altering or dangerous.

It doesn't seem like anyone in this situation was at fault based on the information we were given, because we can't jump to that conclusion based on the limited information. The problem is that most men aren’t wired to stay in relationships where their sexual agency is suppressed, and most women aren’t wired to stay attracted to men who pedestalize them. I don't agree with the first part, but I definitely agree with the second part.

That's dodging the question that I asked. Unless you're genuinely saying something made with ambiguous knowledge or false pretenses is inherently more ethical than someone engaging in something they were knowingly and willingly participating in? Because even in this thread, there's people who are saying they have worked as sex workers and enjoyed it. I know people who have done it, several people who have worked as dominatrixes. One of those two was also a producer and writer for adult films. I …
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 10:40 PM

While a lot of women don’t like it, a lot of women also harshly judge a man who’s inexperienced. My first girlfriend judged me harshly for it, initially liking it, then later insinuating nobody else wanted me. I’ve seen that same sentiment here, with girls saying if a guy is still a virgin by 22-25, it’s a red flag. So a question for you: would you prefer a virgin with little to no romantic experience? Or a guy who has been with 30+ girls, but only a handful of actual relationships?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 10:08 PM

I’d say that’s the case if someone is being coerced or forced into that line of work. But a lot of the time, there’s people who willingly engage with it either because they enjoy it or just like the money or lifestyle it gives them. I know a guy who had a stripper proposition him. Was she coerced into that after she offered it? And then her following up trying to get him to return to the club?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 10:02 PM

Would you be down to share them? Because the only one I could ever find that had a written account from the actual workers was this case in Northern Germany. I didn't say there are no written accounts of sex work, I said from the perspective of the workers. the only Medieval accounts we have from sex workers Nothing I said implied we didn't have accounts written by the managers or implied accounts that said otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 09:56 PM

i'm using "tell me a way you would identify a trafficked sex worker" to validate my belief that men do not confirm the sex work is consensual. From guys I've known who have done this, they either looked into the girls on a website. Or went to a legal establishment. But I knew two guys who went to some shady massage parlor. One of those two I could believe wouldn't care to check or confirm. The other I don't think the thought occurred to him afterwards. There's a popular streamer I hold against h…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 09:50 PM

It's not there isn't any degree of truth to that. Preselection is absolutely a thing. At the same time, I've known guys who were kind of losers who didn't take care of themselves physically or emotionally, who were able to succeed at that. By their own admission, their genes weren't good. Part of it is genes, the other part is the illusion of status or security.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 09:40 PM

That's making the assumption that every girl who does that isn't enjoying it. I don't think it's a good thing. But you're not being consistent on that. If a guy manipulates or lovebombs a girl with deliberately ambiguous signals to get her to hookup, (which a lot of the player type do, let's be real), that's more ethical than someone who actually wants to do sex work engaging with a legal client by her own choice?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 09:37 PM

It demonstrates value. To really insecure or emotionally immature women who have been brainrotted by hookup culture, yes. And I get it, that's a huge part of the dating pool at this point.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 09:34 PM

It was from PEW research. The article talks about men and women, rates of singleness, as well as whether they have had a prior experience within the last year. Far more women identified as being in a relationship or having past experiences within the last year than men. This was 2020. Probably, guys have gotten too burned out from every date being terrible and just giving up on OLD. So the preexisting trend of most girls matching with the same men probably further caused the death spiral of that…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 09:33 PM

and we know that assumption is false (legalizing sex work increases trafficking I don't necessarily disagree. That's usually why a lot of countries that legalize it don't allow it to be organized, only independent. That still happens, though. But this is making the assumption that trafficking isn't happening, because there are people who willingly engage with this. we all know if we ask men who want to go to brothels to tell us 3 signs the woman may be trafficked they're gonna look at us like 😮)…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 09:25 PM

So do you feel that about a legal exchange between a sex worker and a patron?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 09:20 PM

The stats I've seen suggest otherwise, but those might be outdated from around 2020-2021. That was the trend for the last decade.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 09:20 PM

He's kind of right, though. You don't have to keep investing yourself into that person after that. At the same time: there's a lot of people who deliberately keep things vague to keep getting the romantic investment of a suitor, without a commitment or reciprocal investment on her part.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 09:19 PM
1

I think what a lot of people conflate as the "friend zone" is being led on. It's having someone make you invest a disproportionate amount of time and resources while the other person keeps things vague and ambiguous, until they no longer want that pursuit. People are allowed to change their minds. They are allowed to reject people, no one is obligated to have another person. At the same time, you are allowed to be internally frustrated if someone flagrantly wastes your times. That isn't an excus…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 09:17 PM

I agree. I don't think either are healthy, but it's better than some guy lovebombing a girl who gets played by some horny guy who dumps her after getting what he wants.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 09:12 PM

Any dude with $20 can bang a prostitute. If a guy is able to pay $20 for it, he's probably a sex tourist or going for clearly trafficked or desperate people.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 09:10 PM

It was seen as a bad thing, just more like "necessary evil" sort of thing. Even the church knew it was going to happen in some capacity, and trafficking still happened. One of the only Medieval accounts we have from sex workers involved a forced abortion, as well as a husband and wife trafficking girls in the brothel while fleecing them on pay.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 08:58 PM

It's merited in a lot of ways. But out of curiosity, do you hold that same stigma for people who participate in hookup culture? Especially the kind of people who are doing it every week or sometimes daily?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 08:56 PM

There is less, it just means that a smaller number of men participate while most girls participate in it every so often.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 08:55 PM

Also very much true, but people tend to bind themselves to things that hurt them.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 08:53 PM

Pretty much, but god forbid you say that.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 08:52 PM

I'll be honest, I've met the player type who have paid for it. I've also met guys who paid for it that probably couldn't get it otherwise. That's definitely part of the demographic, those who can't get it. But there's a lot of guys who do it just because they want to bed someone attractive without any effort. Most of the guys I've known who've admitted to it were involved with the army or the navy, and couldn't realistically date. But they otherwise had no issues finding women.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 08:48 PM

The opinions of being judged, because a lot of them either A: feel like nobody genuinely wants them already, so why care? And B: the player type who never cared about another person's feelings or opinions and just wants to fuck. I don't necessarily disagree with anything you said. Even if to some degree, it's going to happen no matter what.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 08:44 PM

Yeah, girls would rather have a man who has ran through a ton of girls who gave it for free. Even if he spent a ton on dates and impressing them, rather than a guy who outright paid for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 08:41 PM

I don't see it as any different than a guy hooking up with strangers at a bar or on Tinder, assuming it's legal and trafficking isn't done. But I don't either of those things should be encouraged or celebrated.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 08:41 PM

Pretty much. It matters more than people care to admit for either a man or woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 08:39 PM

No disagreement. I also think someone would have merited weariness or apprehension if their partner was regularly having casual sex with new people on a regular basis. Even with getting tested, there's still diseases that can be left undetected after a test. Same deal with going to brothels. I do think if it's under a legal and official context, there's a guarantee there is nothing illicit or trafficking is involved, it shouldn't be stigmatized more than someone going on Tinder or a bar and hook…

When 34% of women aren't? And birthrates are at critical low rates? That's not really a functioning society with a long-term future. The implication here is that a lot of girls think they are in a relationship, when they are really not. And a lot of girls are just hooking up with the same men.

I'd say that's fair except most guys won't know she's a vapid, shallow idiot until you're actually on a date. And if it's on online dating: make a profile as a guy. Vast majority of girls on there give minimal effort, and it shows on the date. My brother only put "6'1" in his bio, and had fundamentally way more success at it than I was at dating. Considering most relationships start online, yet most guys get passed over on these, I don't really think this is a "men are shallow, so these women do…

Women tend to judge a man for a lack of romantic success. I've talked with people on here who have said that if a guy was a virgin past 25, they would consider that a red flag. A lot of women on here think that is a bigger red flag than a guy whose experience is only hookups or mostly hookups. Or even a guy who does hookups at all is preferred to a man who hasn't had much going on.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 09:20 AM

I'd say that's accurate for parts of it.

I’ll be real with you: the fact she made a post to lambast her 64 year old husband and put him in blast, kind of a massive red flag in of itself. This isn’t like choosing groceries, if it’s for medicine, then it’s for medicine.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 02:51 AM

Incredibly true. I got downvoted heavily on this sub for asking a woman on here if she seriously thought the only solution for the male loneliness epidemic was seriously sexual slavery of women. That’s not misrepresenting her position, she outright said the only solution for men would be rape and violence. I got accused of being privileged and deliberately blind of women’s problems when I suggested that was hyperbolic.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 02:49 AM

Then that means both you and those guys were the exception, not the norm. Most don’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 03:13 PM

From what I've read, women don't seem to mind the single life nearly as much as men. The most depressed demographic is apparently the 40+ single, childless career woman. No hope for a family, terrible dating prospects, overspending on luxuries to fill a void.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 02:30 AM

I'm saying this as a guy who has been approached... it happens very rarely. Very rarely. And usually alcohol is involved.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 02:27 AM

Mid women should be cool dating mid men. A lot of girls would get better results if everyone didn't think they were settling when they were going for someone at their level... fuck, even as a guy, part of me felt like I was settling for my ex in terms of looks. Felt I could do better. But she was probably one of the best people I dated, and I'd still be with her if we both wanted kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 02:24 AM

It's probably outdated when the rate of first marriages has sharply fallen, as well as people getting married at all. And most men being single, while most women think they are in a monogamous relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 02:19 AM

I don’t know why your first and immediate thought process is “logically” to assume most men would be rapists. Even the worst misogynists couldn’t make up hateful shit like that.

I say this a lot: social skills and charisma don’t make attraction. They definitely help facilitate it. But there’s a lot more to it these days, beyond it being so much harder to meet people, especially as a guy. Or culture surrounding dating becoming increasingly toxic.

Absolutely, but that’s the hookup culture we live in. Not saying it’s right or wrong, but a lot of people have the idea that if a guy is a virgin, there’s something wrong with him. But if a guy has girls, he’s valuable or someone people actually want to be with.

It's kind of true and a lot of data suggests there's truth to it, but most divorces and breakups are initiated by the woman, and usually a man in his 30's has more confidence, assets, IE, things that most women find attractive compared to a man younger than him. So there's trade offs, generally speaking.

Regardless the original comment isn't about if you should ask It kind of was? it's that so many men don't care about boundaries so we praise the one …

There are definitely men who do not care regardless of what they are reading. But then there are a lot of men who are unsure, or might be misreading things, either putting doubt as a thing to psyche themselves out. It's a huge gray area of ambiguity that might just be better to ask someone. You can't reasonably expect people to always read your mind, because eventually, it's going to lead to someone making an incorrect judgement. All that being said, my brother with his first girlfriend, when th…

I get lectured by women in my life and men for being polite like that. It kind of sucks, but a lot of women will say that isn't masculine or it's a huge turnoff. That it lacks confidence. The unfortunate reality is that a lot of girls want men who psychically know what she wants, and if he's confident about it, it's a turn on.

Not really, because I’ve said no. I’ve seen people say no. There’s plenty of guys who will just say yes to take what they can get. And plenty who will say yes even if they don’t like her, but want a chance to get laid. But are you going to say yes if you have absolutely no attraction to her?

Women don't avoid asking men out because it's hard. They avoid it because no man is going to say no, whether he likes her or not. Fear of rejection is a huge reason a lot of girls don't. I've seen guys say no. I've also said no before. My ex didn't want to ask me my last name, despite me asking for hers because she didn't want to come across as creepy. A lot of girls lack courage for even basic communication at times. It's not a question of courage untill you point out her guy didn't have the sp…

My inclination, same as why most guys don't approach at work or elsewhere, is that the current zeitgeist is to treat men who want a relationship and it is unreciprocated, is to paint them in the most unfavorable light as a means of discouraging such advances at all. And this tends to lump in guys, regardless of intention. So most guys don't want to appear as That Guy. That Guy absolutely exists, and I somewhat get it. It is not fun to want to spend time with someone who does not actually enjoy w…

I say this as a guy, but most of the girls I've dated or talked to admitted to being shut-ins or not having real life friends. I don't think this is a universal thing, but when I go out, there's usually way more guys. Way more in most concerts, conventions, clubs, etc. I've had girls try and approach me before, and ones ask me out in the past. But I think a lot of girls only want a guy they're exceedingly attracted to try and approach them. Anything else, reserved for dating apps.

My last relationship was pretty alright, I met her at a nightclub. I'd still probably be with her if we both wanted kids. All that being said, I've had a lot of bad experiences talking to girls at clubs before. It can work, there are objectively worse ways of meeting someone. But it's also not one of the best ways of meeting someone for something serious.

There are literally dance halls to this day. Most cities have weekly swing and salsa dance meet ups that will even teach you the basics. Other ballroom and line dance meet ups happen, too (I just don’t know as much about them.) I have a friend who does salsa dancing, but I don't think he's actually dated anyone that way. He's a good looking guy, very fit, charismatic. But from what he's told me, there tends to be a lot of disdain towards guys who do this to try and meet girls. I understand it in…

I don't necessarily disagree with you in anything you're saying, but I met my ex through a cold approach. And honestly? It was one of the better relationships that I had. That was in 2023. Honestly, I walked up to her because I was already feeling low after something else romantically failed. I just didn't care if I was labeled as creepy, even I had no intention of acting inappropriately. It can happen, but I think part of why it has also declined in social circles is largely for similar reasons…

I remember a screenshot of a 4Chan post, where a Zoomer was posting in it about a screenshot from 101 Dalmatians where the husband and wife meet by bumping into each other in public. They were asking if that actually used to happen. I have female friends who only met their partner online, lamenting that nobody would walk up to them in a coffee shop. Except, people don't ask why that doesn't happen anymore. Because the reality is that good men don't want to be socially ostracized for being awkwar…

One of the top posts on r/dating right now is a post from a woman in that age group saying how she only finds men 10 or so years older than her attractive now. It might not be a thing for you, personally. Some people age better than others, or decide to make lifestyle changes that help them age or get in shape. I don't have a huge horse in that race, a lot of guys who parrot this often don't take care of themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 01:57 AM

When you say "hot wife," are you saying she's hot? Or you guys are swingers?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 01:55 AM

I'd be inclined to agree with the sentiment that men are most attracted to women in that age range, and it's not due to manipulation or wanting to take advantage of someone. But they put in a lot of bitter and inflammatory bits like that one that was edited out. The bit about: It’s common sense, but we all know how little of that exists on the blue side. While I definitely think there's a lot of blue pill people on here who are deliberately obtuse, that line was completely unnecessary and just i…

I don't necessarily know how much this applies to me anymore than any other man in our generation, but I'll try and answer accordingly: Yes, I do. I have a lot of friends I regularly talk to and hang out with on an almost daily if not weekly basis. Most men I know are single, even the ones who get lots of girls. I've dated girls like this, but never heard of guys doing this. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. That's really awful, I'm sorry. It was a huge problem in my first relationship where I listened to her complain about her exes and flings for hours, while also learning every intimate detail about these guys. If I said anything about it, it would make things awkward or I'd get called insecure.

I've met a girl who was like that, but it was a cousin's girlfriend who he thankfully didn't marry, despite saying in front of her that he was planning on doing so. I am a very casual gamer and would only date a guy at the same level of casual. Not countless hours of yelling at strangers over a mic and overall just taking it way too seriously for my taste. Just because you can't hookup with any girl you desire doesn't mean you're worthless as a human being. I know a lot of terminally online men and women will pretend that it's your worth, especially if they throw out the "incel" word. But your worth as a person isn't by how much sex you have. I have seen men who pay for sex unironically mock others as incels before. The word has lost any and all gravitas or meaning at this point. Yes, it is more work than it has ever been before to get something t…

There’s maybe 10% if not less of guys who can get by on looks alone. West Elm Caleb wasn’t even exceedingly good looking, but he had the right persona and good enough superficials like a high paying job and tall stature. His personality wasn’t spectacular, but it was enough to sell everything else. You’re really blackpilled if you think it’s exclusively looks. Things aren’t good out there, it’s incredibly stacked against you as a man. But there are things you can do.

I don't necessarily disagree that men and women aren't the same. But an anecdote I had: girl initiated things with me, then backed out and ghosted me. Year later, I run into an old friend out of the blue. He was attending an event I was working. His now girlfriend was that same girl who ghosted me. Would you want one of your buddies to be part of your girl's past? Because if you encourage that kind of behavior, you increase the chances of that happening. The only time I've gotten visibly annoyed with a rejection involved someone I used to know lie to me and say they were asexual and aromantic, when I knew that wasn't actually the case. I still told them it was fine and wished them the best. I told them prior to that if they weren't interested, it was completely fine. But I never heard from them again after that. which doesn't mean men should not vet the choices they do have or that women should not vet the choices they have Absolutely, people should be vetted. You are not obligated to date anyone, especially out of pity or charity. If someone is incompatible, then they are incompatible. But everyone has incompatibilities. And if you have an overabundance of options, a lot of people will bail at the first sight of an incompatibility. Most guys are more willing to find common ground probably because optio…

I'll be totally real with you: if the women is more into the man, then that relationship stands a far greater chance of actually happening. But if the man is more into the woman, then that relationship is more likely to just 'stay as friends,' and if it happens, it's likely to lead to breakup, divorce, or infidelity simply because most girls have way more options than most guys. There's a reason the overwhelming majority of divorces and breakups are initiated by the woman. Ideally: the relations…

And if that's the case with almost every girl out there? Men do not have even a 1/10 of the options that an average girl has. Men who opt out of dating are exercising higher standards. They're choosing to not play these stupid games where they are paying for the privilege of being treated badly, while entertaining someone with an irrational list of icks. I'm not going to say this is every girl out there, but dating as a heterosexual man is incredibly exhausting. You waste a lot of time, a lot of…

Maybe it’s because ‘moderate’ can be a broad range of beliefs, and depending on one’s social circles or communities, can mean a lot of different things. Because especially in 2020 and 2021, a lot of people I knew who identify as leftist or now socialist were calling themselves moderates.

If you only believe something to get laid, you’re probably without integrity. In my experience? The men shouting these things the loudest tend to be the crappiest to women. I say that as someone who recently saw a coworker/acquaintance get fired from the group because of exactly that.

I'd say that is how things should be, but the reality is that most girls will not just outright reject you. There will be a lot of ambiguity you have to parse, with lies, excuses, and or circumstances. Maybe that is more than just doing a cold approach, that is figuring out rejection as a whole, but vast majority will keep things vague rather than explicit. When girls have been honest with me, I have always thanked them for their honesty, no negotiation, no insistence. That tends to be the excep…

I once mentioned going on a second date with a coworker, and how the first date went really well. She then nervously asked me if I’d consider dating anyone at work. Preselection is totally a thing. Girls tend to say yes to the guys who other girls said yes to. For a girl with integrity and self-respect? It’s a huge turnoff. But for a lot of women, it’s a sign this guy has something valuable.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 11:55 PM

Depends. Usually? Men tend to respect that guy, but will get defensive if their partner makes advances or that guy makes a move on her. That’s usually when men will be hostile about it.

Men get shamed for being virgins, and it’s a dealbreaker for a lot of women. It wasn’t for my first girlfriend, but even she threw that at me during arguments. Girls want a guy with experience, but that usually translates to the guy with lots of experience, lots of options, and thus doesn’t care about her. It’s easier for most guys to talk with or impress a girl they don’t actually like that much. Less pressure, less anxiety, and less of a need to make it work. Even my own mom suggested doing th…

To be honest, I feel like porn has lowered men's standards. They're willing to simp or be treated like crap for someone who fulfills their sexual preferences, or even just a chance for sex. And that would happen without porn anyway, but I know dudes who stay in bad relationships or put up with awkward FWB arrangements because the girl lets them do things they like that they learned from porn. Or that they try and imitate the things they've seen in it.

Jack really shouldn’t be going for Abby. It’s one thing if they’re seeing other people, it’s another if they’re sleeping with other people. I've had multiple anthropology classes do this, but it's usually with primates, like bonobos, chimpanzees, and gorillas. And it was for Introduction to Biological Anthropology, but there was a bit for the Cultural segment. Anthropologists tend to look at how other primates evolved to try and gleam how or why we evolved the way we did. My textbook also stated that 80% of modern anthropologists are women, as was my professor.
