Thabk you for clarifying. The check mark emoji gave me the impression that you were joking about this situation.

I know that the majority responses posts like these recieve will be something along the lines of "well its YOUR fault for doing X and not doing Y" but, honestly, you probably would have recieved the same outcome if you would have done Y instead of X. You are not responsible for his behavior. FDS isn't a love potion that will make every man fall head over heals for you, it is a set of guidlines that are meant to help you filter out men who who intend on wasting your time. The goal isn't to change…

I understand that we all want reasurance that we are not crazy for wanting a partner who treats us with respect but I do not believe that we should rely on junk science (that was written by a man) in order to do so. His explanation of how hormones work sounds misguided at best and like absolute crap at worst. Females naturally produce tetosterone as well, in fact our tetosterone levels are at their highest during our menstrual cycles, so do we suddenly become more manly during our cycle? If male…

If it wasnt for the choice of emojis I would assume that this was a tongue-in-cheek way of saying "my boyfriend has been cheating on me with my best friend"

"The price of the ring shouldn't matter, its the thought behind it that counts" "Okay, I do not want my boyfriend to propose to me with a ring that he bought for his ex because he bought that ring with the THOUGHT of a future with her in mind." "...No not like that"

Unfortunately, "beating" cancer is rarely the end of it for survivors. Chemo and radiation therapy are very hard on the body and he will likely be dealing with the effects of it for the rest of his life. If he has had to have any major surgeries over the course of his treatment then he is likely going to be physically impaired from those as well. Also, if it has been less than 5 years since his last treatment then he is technically in "remission" rather than "cured". Given his circumstances I ca…

Started dating him as a teenager, got pregnant very early on the in the relationship, and has "traditional" parents that are encouraging her to stay with him. Lets have some empathy for this young girl rather than shaming her.

I think that "it is normal to feel attracted to other people while you're in a relationship" is true in the same way that "you can find someone of the same sex to be attractive without being gay/bi". Like, sure, most of us can recognize that Insert-Celebrity-Here is good looking regardless of whether or not we would actually be interested in dating them. We can all recognize an attractive person when we see one. Thinking that your friend looks good when they post a nice photo, dress up, or have …

He wants a girl that enjoys eating but will have a meltdown the moment she requests to go to a nicer restaurant than Applebees or asks him to buy shallots at the grocery store.

What sticks out to me most about the first list is the fact that the majority of the things on there aren't even actual qualities, they're just generic adjetives that most people would use to describe anyone that they find mildly pleasant to be around. I think that creating "lists" is a tacky thing to do in general but there are many appropriate ways to communicate qualities that you might want in a partner: "I'm an avid gym goer and I would like to have a partner who is also passionate about le…
