Unless you were having GI issues, this plan makes no real sense

Creatine is cheap and there's some evidence more would be better for you. Take 5-10 grams everyday for the rest of your life (don't worry about whether you are bulking or not).

6' 169 is tiny to be 15% body fat. Lifting / gaining should be priority - not worrying about overeating. You should weigh 200 pounds at 15% body fat. What are your lifts?

You can deadlift with resistance bands - you can also do good mornings and single leg romanian deadlifts. This is a very good resource; I lift 3x what you are doing and made good gains through the first few months of COVID with mostly just bands. https://www.strongerbyscience.com/no-gym/ Make sure you eat least 200 grams of protein a day and probably at least 3000 calories. It's okay to add a little fat in your situation (i.e. concentration camp victim). I'd also get your T checked (can't hurt -…

I would definitely wait until your kid is at least in college to improve yourself.

You aren't going to be able to add meaningful muscle in a deficit, especially at such a low starting weight. Focus on lifting consistently and eating to gain - lose weight 30-40 pounds from now when you have some muscle.

How is it possible you can row the same as your squat?

As a similarly fat fuck, he should also lift some real weights

If you were 5'10, 155, why are you losing weight? Eat for gods sake.

Thanks, this is helpful. The key thing I need to keep thinking about is the best way to defend this boundary - I can remove myself from the situation, but I'm not sure that's really addressing the core issue (the kids are still in it). At the same time, I have been trying to avoid directly undermining her in front of the kids, but that may have to be the direction it goes.

Thanks for the feedback. Definitely need o focus on one day at a time right now and dropping weight is the top priority. On the TV, I don't think it's a matter of trying to get a "reward", but need to be careful of that. Already spend a good bit of time reading, need to continue to focus on productive, quarantine friendly activities (pre-COVID the answer would've been BJJ or social activities with male friends).

Thanks to both; the reality is, I suspect I'm not pathological / clinical low T (pretty decent libido, added quite a bit of muscle over the past 18 months) but would rather operate at the top end of the range (at least). I know my dad was diagnosed low-T and used the gel for a while - also obese, type II diabetic (which I am not). I'll probably look to pursue the telemedicine route and at least get levels checked, etc. Any experience from anyone on "tipping the scales", so to speak? Probably a s…

Oh, same as all the others. Got ILYBINILWY in July, by October found out she was banging her 50 year old trainer (probably at least since June), a bartender, who knows if others (had quite a bit of Inspector Faggot going on, so probably that was it). Confronted, she now wants to stay married. No final resolution yet while I fix my shit and get through home lockdown, but outlook not so good.
