When I swipe on someone too attractive it’s less about penalizing them and more about my own self esteem and not wanting to 1) waste their time 2) waste my time 3) put myself in a situation to be degraded 3 is because I am aware of my attractiveness and I have friends who matched with attractive men and were met with very insulting and degrading messages because the men thought they were out of their league. This happens because men swipe right on everyone and assess after they match, which make…

I can’t believe I bothered to do this to prove a point but here you go — after swiping through 100 men this is what I came up with for my own personal preferences and what I am looking for: 45 - unattractive 26 - too attractive in an off putting or intimidating way 19 - average looking but I didn’t like their vibe 8 - attractive to me and would have swiped right but didn’t like their vibe 2 - swiped right (1 match) I took screenshots of all the profiles if that holds any relevance.

I am speaking from my experience, from my female friends experience, a instagram poll of 100+ girls I did a couple months ago, and from reddit comments I have read from other women. If I could sit with you, go through tinder, and show you who I swipe on I would, but you will continue to believe what you want to believe regardless of what I say.

You underestimate the amount of women who have had (or have seen people close to them have) bad experiences with highly attractive men and then automatically see it as a red flag. Even the slightly above average attractive guy can be off-putting if he gives off frat vibes or a self centered douchey vibe.

That’s a really biased perspective though because for each woman that they match with who knows if there were 20+ who swiped left for the reason I stated? You’d never know because they aren’t seen.

I tried to explain this to a super attractive incel, that it’s not uncommon for women to not swipe on men that look too good to be true. He refused to believe me and it was just irritating and sad.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
