Im sorry but In modern day most 20 year olds are just kids in today’s world it takes longer for kids to become mature and independant because the demands of their education and job hunting prolong financial dependancy on parents. Few people today achieve financial independence or complete their education before age 27. I for one have way more in common with a 16 year old than a 40 year old 90% of the time as we both at the same stage in life typically.

I have to disagree with this, most 20 year olds are still teens. Just without the label and tend to have similar intrest that most teens have. Plus 20 year olds are still growing mentally.

Both are acceptable form where I am from but I would have to say a 45 year old and a 20 year old is worse tbf

Brother, nobody is saying for the man not to lead. This is a discussion about the differing approaches. Both are valid both display confidence.

Do you not think location plays a role?

I disagree both are valid reasons none is right or wrong just depends on the individual as long as the guy strikes up the convo and asserts himself then I don’t see any of it as pushing out

I wouldnt say a woman is pursing a guy by texting a guy saying “hi” just let’s him no you are interested after he gives you his number. then the floor is all his.

You missed the point by giving them your number you are taking the lead smh if a modelling agent approached them and gave them there business card after talking to them they would be flattered and interested most of them would same rule

I think it’s wrong to suggest that giving out your number is unmanly, yes you make valid points but giving her your number isn’t unmanly and it does display a level of confidence as you are being unapologetic about your interest. you are just letting them decide if they want to take things to the next level. Asked for there number 100s if times now questioning if it’s best to give them there’s as it’s avoids time wasters and woman that just want attention which happens a lot when you ask for the…

That’s stupid though, If a modelling agent handed them there card they aren’t going to wait around. They are going to find a way to get in contact by either calling or texting especially if they want to model. Same applies to dating.

Then shouldn’t be anything wrong with giving number out.

Yes a man should follow up and if he give her his number and she responds he should set up a meet up and take it further. Don’t see why he has to text first all the time. Obviously take lead but doesn’t mean always texting first. P

It not about being afraid to take risks, obviously a mans place is to court a woman. But it’s no point trying if that woman doesn’t want you,it’s about not wasting time on woman that don’t want you. Plus by approaching and giving them your number you are taking the lead. Nobody is asking them to ask men out that’s obviously silly. But giving them your number and letting them decide if they want to take things further is reasonable.

I understand what you're saying, but when the man gave her his number, he actually made the FIRST move. He saw her and was attracted; he approached her and spoke to her; and now he wants to give her his number. Now, the ball is in her court. He is taking control of the situation. Then if she follows up and contacts is all the indication of interest that I and any man would need then the man can take over from there.

Thanks this is a very insightful and good helpful answer for me it’s just I feel awkward asking them about themselves and saying what you like or what you do for fun as I feel like it’s a boring topic to talk about for them idk. But the way you have phrased it is good thanks bro

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
