You are probably right, and I appreciate the insight. One thing that I am taking away from this is how important timelines are. Before marriage, we both wanted kids, but it ended there. We never talked about when or anything like that, so once we got married and she checked another thing off of her life box it was on to the next one which I just wasn’t ready for. I want my children to be raised in a place of warmth and true love. I don’t want yelling to be a common thing or seeing how one parent…

As soon as we got married she was dead set on having kids immediately. I was told that due to a genetic condition I have IVF would be the best course of action to go. She was not happy about that and said how it pushes timelines back so far, and how I need to be further ahead in my life. This was all while just trying to process the reality of my situation regardless of if it’s with her or not. She came around to “compromising” with IVF but wanted to start the treatments ASAP and I wasn’t comfor…

Thank you, and I don’t want to cry victim because I know there are many men out there married well over 20 years with children and homes who go through this everyday, and my hearts go out to all of them. In this moment though, being in the storm, it’s hard to view it as “it could be worse” but I understand what you are saying.

I won’t give her a child, but her change of tune about prioritizing me instead of listing off a page of boxes to check for her dreams is something that makes me wonder. I just feel its desperation though potentially.

That’s just it, she is good and manipulating and I think it’s just a charade, but I don’t know for sure, and that’s what gets me.

No, we both wanted them, but her timeline shifted from “down the road” to I need them ASAP.

You’re the best! Thank you stranger. Kids is actually the heated discussion that has led to this. It’s been none stop pressure for them and I’ve been disregarded in so many aspects. She likes guilt tripping too.

I feel this on so many levels. I filed last week and now she is a completely new woman. She is the woman of my dreams now and so kind, yet just one week ago she was pressuring me and neglecting how I felt. The change of tune was so fast.

For almost a year now I’ve been trying to get my wife to go to couples counseling and she didn’t see a point in it. I filed for divorce one week ago and now she wants to do it and is “turning a new leaf”. If she is open to it then I’d recommend trying it, but if she says no then at least you can say you tried like I did.

Thank you. I told her and things seem fairly amicable now. I know it will probably go south once things really sink in.

Thank you so much. Odds are you will see me more on this sub, and eventually get to the point where I’m giving advice instead of needing it!

Thank you. I dread telling her, because at the end of the day we were more just incompatible than anything specifically wrong. We are two people in different chapters of life. This makes it even more challenging because I care for her so much.

Thank you. I don’t even know how to process it right now. It is all so overwhelming and raw that my mind can’t even comprehend what I did.

You will still need Internet connected, but yes you can download the spectrum tv app and login to watch cable on another tv or phone. There is a spectrum app on Roku

100%, at the time with this girl and throughout the relationship I had the scarcity mindset, and I was worried that telling her to stop her shit or im out of here would make her just leave me, and I was worried that I wouldn't have her anymore. It is something I am trying to work on, and it will slowly get better i think with time, but none the less I didn't want to leave because I didnt think I'd find another girl out there who was into me, which is such an irrational thought.

Women can be emotionally abusive too, just got out of an emotionally abusive relationship and talked to a hot line because I needed someone to talk too in the moment, they said they have never heard of anyone as manipulative and emotionally abusive as my ex, and after they said that I called this hotline out on their bullshit, mainly because I felt like they say that to everyone, but the person said genuinely that in the 6 yrs she was doing it this was one of the worst cases she has seen. I got …
