on a basic physiological level it's a want. but from a long-term mental health perspective I think some form of validation from whichever sex you're attracted to starts to look more like a need. you won't die without it, but you're probably not going to be a particularly well-adjusted member of society either. I'm very pro legalized, regulated prostitution for this reason. some sexual contact even without organic desire is better than nothing at all.

you're gonna love deviantart...
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/17 07:27 PM

lmao this is definitely an incel alt.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/17 06:47 PM

oh please, your little hamster is running a mile a minute. statistics are suddenly and conveniently a myth? women want children to suffer? just make the relationship better? lol... I have to question whether you've ever actually been in a relationship-- let alone marriage-- if that seems even remotely logical to you. bad relationships that people feel compelled to stay in tend to lead to infidelity, which is immensely destructive to all parties involved. divorce is devastating, but so is growing…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/17 05:37 PM

my 1950's "happy housewife" grandmother saved up what would now be called a "fuck you fund" behind my grandfather's back for years. he died before she had the chance to use it.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/17 05:05 PM

women stayed in shitty, abusive relationships because they had no alternative. you seem to think a married household is automatically a good one... far from it. in fact many of not most of the divorces that happened during the "divorce boom" of the 80's and 90's were a long time coming and many more followed serial monogamists' second, third, and fourth marriages. now that people don't feel obligated to get married the divorce rate is plummeting. it's ideal, really. only marry if you really want…

Men Are Wonderful! paragons of virtue and masculinity... why, they invented morality!
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/17 01:21 PM

you're a middle-aged divorcee, you don't exactly have the cream of the crop to choose from. to be frank, you're past your prime and have emotional baggage... well-adjusted women have a lot of options, and that's not an attractive one.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/17 11:27 AM

now I'm confused. I thought American girls were loud, now they're corpselike? you're too desperate with your insults.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/17 01:46 PM

have you ever tried one?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/17 01:10 PM

They've been around for a long time
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/17 12:30 PM

she's very traditionally feminine.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/17 11:30 AM

...quote me where I used the word oppressed. and in my opinion this idea that violent men only pick on people their own size is overblown. for the majority of guys who follow the social contract, sure. I'm not gonna challenge someone half my size to fight over a sports tiff. but the type of person to commit a violent crime has already divorced himself from "the rules of society." I lived in a really rough neighborhood for a few years... there were a lot of muggings and theft and beatdowns and ge…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/17 09:19 AM

eh... maybe it's a matter of where she lives but she hasn't met with much enthusiasm. most of the guys she's dated have been put off by it and think she's odd. which, to be fair, supernerds like that kind of are.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/17 03:26 PM

One of my friends is into really nerdy shit (like historical reenacting and niche tabletop games) and uses it as a filter on dates. she's had a few guys tell her "don't you think that's more second date material?" or "uuhh that's weird" and that's how she knows it's not going to work out. it's a bold strategy but seems to work.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/17 03:44 AM

I think a fat 20-year-old who loses weight and becomes a marathon runner by 30 would say otherwise
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/17 12:43 AM

so you acknowledge that even my ability to judge a very specific in a very specific environment is likely heavily inaccurate. how can you possibly expect to systematize strangers in any meaningful way across a broader spectrum of traits? it's an exercise in futility.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/17 12:41 AM

any number of behaviors can be negative if done for the wrong reasons but sluttiness is especially stigmatized because it coincides with men's insecurities. it's not "oh, she may be handling her emotional vulnerabilities in a destructive way" it's "she freely had sex with that guy but she wants sex with me ergo she must be settling for me." which, in my experience, is almost always false.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/17 12:38 AM

you can discuss both as a theoretical, but you have no way of predicting the future or accurately guessing what someone's behavior will be. not even close.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/17 12:34 AM

humans are multifaceted in every way possible. we are a series of traits and capabilities... some of which are measurable and some of which are not. labor market value is measurable, but says more about our value system as a group than it does about the individual being measured. Monet only sold one painting in his life and only became famous posthumously... his labor market would have judged him about as lowly as possible. systematisation of human behavior in all but very specific microcosms is…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/17 10:39 PM

the only metrics governments care about is 1) how much you can be taxed and 2) whether or not you and your expertise are vital to the running of the country. neither of those are value judgments
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/17 10:31 PM

no cultures still see if she still had her hymen on her wedding day because we didn't even know the hymen existed until very recently and not every woman is born with one. the idea that the hymen is intact until first penetration is pure moralist crap. different cultures have come up with all manner of "virginity tests" throughout history, all of which have been utter nonsense because virginity is not a medical condition. unless you get pregnant, sex does not alter your physiology. historically,…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/17 10:22 PM

depends what you're attracted to. if your standards are outrageous you're going to be used and abused like those fat girls on tinder who want a 6' tall millionaire
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/17 09:19 PM

...and the guys are only with/spending money on those women because they're hot. it's shallow all around.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/17 09:05 PM

do you like massages? do you think someone who just got the shit beat out of him is more loose and relaxed than someone who didn't? ffs everything is a rape comparison with you people.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/17 09:02 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/17 10:28 AM

for some reason I thought you lived out in BFE
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/17 10:09 AM

you all seriously need to uninstall tinder and instagram and go take a walk. there's a whole wide world out there where people meet each other organically.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/17 01:39 AM

Yeah, nobody's thinking about eggs or reproduction when watching porn. men's arousal is easier to trigger than women's. the ubiquity of porn and pornified imagery constantly keeps sex at the top of men's minds. it ain't natural. that's not to say that men's libido isn't naturally higher-- it is-- but I don't believe men are naturally as thirsty as they seem to be nowadays in the US.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/17 12:06 PM

When I met him my husband was in a group like this and they had their requisite ugly girl hanger-on. he hated this bitch and tried to get rid of her a few times but she got her claws in his best friend, who ultimately married her. they're not on speaking terms anymore. sad.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 11:48 AM

There already is a stigma and custody already defaults to joint.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/17 11:09 AM

the ones who are bad parents should be considered bad parents
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/17 11:08 AM

Japan has a few distinct contributing cultural phenomena that are very different from the US, though. for one, women are still expected to stay home when they're married... women want to keep their careers and men don't want to support a wife so the obvious solution is not to marry. for another, workers are expected to devote their entire lives to a single company. you're unhappy with the work culture at your company? too bad. so why work at all?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/17 01:13 AM

the only "celebration" I've seen on single motherhood is an "I've managed to do this all on my own and that's impressive" kind of sentiment... nobody thinks it's an enviable position to be in. it's very, very difficult.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/17 01:10 AM

what behavior would you limit? would you force single women to abort? force them to stay in unhappy relationships/marriages? you didn't answer the question...
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/17 01:07 AM

which affects the threshold of desire. if they did not desire sex with those women they would not fuck them.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/17 06:14 PM

if they didn't desire her they would go home alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/17 11:59 AM

And she has to do less to get it (other than say yes), gets to stuff her face and pretend she is desirable. She is desirable to the guys fucking her.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/17 11:46 AM

I thought Chad was fucking all the uggos and that's why Average Guys Like Me™ can't get laid
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/17 11:15 AM

but redpillers claim toxic masculinity is things men are forced to do to get laid... I'm so confused.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/17 03:25 AM

er... no. BP denies the RP idea that these things are universal constants. I've never met anyone who denies the existence of gold diggers, but to claim All Women™ are gold diggers is a poor/ugly guy's cope. I know many women who have their own shit going on and married guys who TRP would be quick to dismiss. BP acknowledges nuance in relationships and doesn't go through life in a cloud of cynicism. I think if you look at rp's belief system through the lens of guys who overvalue themselves and un…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/17 08:12 PM

those genes are strong. we are a top producer of lesbians in the county.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/17 02:47 AM

no. and gayness runs in my family like colors in a spin cycle so if I did he probably wouldn't be (all the way) straight anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/17 02:41 AM

I don't know I haven't been privy to her intimate encounters. she dated a much older woman when she was young (18 and 35-36) and as predatory as we all felt she was she helped my cousin learn lesbian game. but she's definite blown it with several girls I think she really had feelings for.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/17 02:33 AM

sorry, misogynist
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/17 05:42 PM

aah yes, so many lonely billionaires wishing a woman would pay them some attention! won't someone think of them? lol if Bill Gates wanted a playboy lifestyle he'd have it. look at Hugh Hefner.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/17 05:40 PM

why is that attraction based on a false premise? confidence makes a person attractive. I lost weight... guys who didn't notice me and, frankly, we're dicks to me 10 years ago now find me attractive. is that based on a false premise too?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/17 02:44 PM

it's over with this girl, there's no recovering from that. it doesn't prove the attraction is fake, it proves the potential for attraction is gone. he'll have to start again with someone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/17 02:37 PM

sounds like he was awkward as fuck in person (just his description is awkward as fuck, I can only imagine) and it didn't work out. she didn't want to make him feel bad but was turned off. shit happens, sounds like he's working on his confidence and he'll do better next time.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/17 02:33 PM

that's not a bad problem to have
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/17 01:11 PM

depends on the degree of intoxication, alcohol impairs pretty much all functions.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/17 12:59 PM

when I was single mostly lack of social skills. I'm attracted to smart/academic guys and it's a more common issue in that demographic.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/17 12:57 PM

lmao, you should check it out less
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/17 08:40 AM

"girls like things you can't change, I'm powerless to attract them!" "a lot of that can be mitigated by putting yourself together and having a sense of style" "I can't be bothered to do that" lmao men
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/17 08:00 AM

never. men are clueless.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/17 07:56 AM

no, people cream themselves when a woman goes into detail about such things because they are traditionally masculine hobbies and men love the idea of the hot tomboy. interest in the physical world != having masculine hobbies.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/17 09:14 PM

where men are involved yeah. my cousin is an aspire lesbian and she never doesn't have options.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/17 08:27 PM

we don't rate guys 1-10 except places like this. it's a binary: bangable/not bangable
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/17 07:41 PM

no. based on status/reputation ya maybe.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/17 07:18 PM

again, how do women abuse power? I'm not seeing it. why is the onus of sexual restraint entirely on women? why do we deny men agency when it comes to sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/17 06:10 PM

they want chadettes to lust after their doughy ass.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/17 05:24 PM

hamstering. in most cases you know nothing about a woman's previous partners. you're making universal assumptions because it fits your particular narrative.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/17 05:10 PM

here's a novel idea: don't buy drinks for strange women, the chances that she'll fuck you out of gratitude are so small as to be nonexistent.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/17 04:17 PM

the idea that they fear competition 18-year-olds is the cope. girls a few years younger yes, but they are fishing in an ebtirely different subset of men who teenagers aren't interested in.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/17 03:44 PM

lol, this is a revenge fantasy cope. even women who live and party hard do fine for themselves well into their thirties. I know some women who aged fast due to a variety of factors (smoking, drinking, eating disorders, tanning) and all have attractive, doting partners. the idea of the 18-year-old might be appealing, but I have only ever known one grown man in my entire life-- and a very troubled, alcoholic one at that-- who dated one.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/17 10:17 AM

I've never posted a pic here but I'm flattered nonetheless...
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/17 03:05 AM

nothing erroneous about it. it is advantageous to be tall in our culture. tall guys are treated with more respect, have better job prospects, are more likely to land in top positions, are considered more masculine. if I had a son id want him to be tall, and it'd have nothing to do with him getting laid in the future. it's a societal perception, not a female one.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/17 02:39 AM

yeah but what makes "better genetics" is contextual. if a hypothetical culture valued, say, red hair over any other hair color then having red haired kids would be genetically advantageous in that cultural landscape. because those kids will be considered more attractive they stand a better chance of passing on their genes.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/17 01:20 AM

I've crushed on fat guys before just because they were witty.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/17 09:07 PM

I had to reinforce my front door because these broads keep breaking it down to get to me when I'm just trying to play vidya
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/17 08:58 PM

wit is attractive to both genders, provided the witty person is also decently attractive physically.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/17 05:45 PM

the bisexual dudes I know (only a few) are just kind of hypersexual in general. they know how to get someone in bed, whatever their hardware.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/17 05:39 PM

you just need to get thee to an artsy scene.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/17 05:37 PM

but to do that they have to first decide to go to a gathering where there's both alcohol and hot guys. I did not have such opportunities (and wouldn't have taken them if I did) during my years as a shy and insecure girl.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/17 02:57 PM

eehh no not really. I used to be really shy and insecure and so were my girlfriends and we didn't show interest in anyone, especially not guys in the more popular social groups. that would have been stepping out of our place in the pecking order, as we saw it, and we'd have been made fun of for it. mostly by the girls in those groups. you may have seen women show interest in hot guys who you perceived to be shy and insecure, but I assure you this isn't usually the case. and many women will prete…

why's that?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/17 09:31 PM
2

but the average guy who is into casual sex probably isn't going to take up the sole strategy of going out hoping to score with strangers when he's in the mood. he'll have booty calls.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/17 07:57 PM
2

sure it is... you're saying judging someone for being fat is different than judging someone for being unattractive in another way. it doesn't feeeeel the same. bullshit. appearances are appearances. you think a thin person with a beat face is more attractive than a disgusting fat person. you are making an appearance-based judgment and justifying it to yourself

I hate men more than anyone, who is this usurper?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/17 05:01 PM
2

no, we're talking about attractive and unattractive. you're trying to virtue signal by adding parameters. fat is unattractive, is it not?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/17 04:28 PM
3

why is a fat woman not desirable? because she's unattractive. not hot. its the same thing. "not being fat" is the same as being hot... she could have the personality of mother theresa and it wouldn't make a difference.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/17 03:27 PM
4

men have higher sex drives and are more prone to see things in a sexual lens. men only see that as a benefit because they project their sexuality on women. men want to be sexualized, women are annoyed by how easily they excite the average man. the fact is that average women end up with average men.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/17 03:09 PM
3

the fact remains that being an otherwise good person doesn't override or make up for being unattractive. claiming that it's somehow different if the person can change it is just virtue signalling.

pre-Obamacare, most without company-sponsored plans either didn't buy health insurance (most doctors offered lower rates of you paid for their services in cash and saved them from dealing with the insurance companies) or bought catastrophic plans, which didn't include any prescription coverage and were banned under the legislation. with a catastrophic plan you could pay for every day small shit in cash but had coverage if you were, say, run over by a bus. they were cheap, though, so people who b…

Even tho there are feminists that wanted it paid by the state and that got it even under Obamacare. Obamacare is nothing more than insurance industry regulation. "the state" did not pay for or provide anything. when I did not have insurance I had to pay for birth control out of pocket, which I also did when I had insurance pre-obamacare. it mandates that insurance plans cover birth control 100%, which is roughly the equivalent of asking them to cover ibuprofen 100% since its a very cheap-- if of…

1) abortion rights are under attack by tradcon groups. you may live in an unaffected liberal state but as someone who doesn't, I'd have very few and difficult to access options if I needed an abortion. 2) they wanted birth control covered by health insurance, not "paid for by the state." stop parroting conservative talking points and actually think for yourself. if I pay a few hundred dollars a month in health care premiums, it's not unreasonable to want them to cover my prescription. otherwise,…

I don't think is many people are getting "retarded degrees" as you think, and even a "retarded degree" can get you into management.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/17 03:18 AM

for most people a degree is still a no-brainer, even though it's been devalued. I come from a family of tradesmen and married into another family of tradesmen it's far from the guaranteed work it's made out to be... statistically speaking, you'll have an easier time making a comfortable living with a degree than in the trades. you either go into business as an independent contractor which is expensive and risky or you go to work for a bigger company, which is usually low-paid high-turnover work.…

I think the misunderstanding comes from a fear of rejection... you can't play the numbers game if you shut down and pack it in when you get rejected. guys who spend their lives pussyfooting around the possibility of getting rejected won't be able to get laid even if they're otherwise average. no risk no reward.

no, women's attractiveness is on a bell curve. and women will always turn down men substantially less attractive than them, so a guy who has misjudged his own attractiveness and unknowingly hunts for women more attractive than him will perceive women as pickier than they are. it is a rational strategy. men who are high marriage value and want more than sex-- who want a long-term relationship with a quality woman-- will wait. it's very effective for weeding out low value sexpests
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/17 10:10 PM
4

I have consistently and repeatedly seen men rate themselves as higher than they are. it's simple observation. it has nothing to do with women's egos since these men don't generally even register on women's radar... at least not the women they're pursuing. it's only places like reddit where these conversations occur. and no, a guy who's just looking for sex won't waste his time with a woman who will make him wait for commitment. and if he does choose to wait it out, the relationship will probably…

I can't speak for how difficult it is to get casual sex vs relationships as a man, but the consensus seems to be that it's easier to find relationships. women do not strictly go for men of "higher value," that's omega male projection. the issue is that low value men perceive themselves to be higher value than they are, and so assume women are going for superior men when they're actually going for their equals. I said nothing about whether a man who is willing to wait will stay with a woman he wa…

bullshit. high value women don't lead with sex, they make a guy commit.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/17 06:31 PM

it's impossible to say since there's no way to objectively quantify a shitty woman or a shitty man. I've encountered an equal number of both
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/17 06:27 PM
2

it depends on the man... if he's weak and poor judge of character (he marries the hottest girl he can lock down, which is surprisingly common) then I'd call it a reasonable fear... there are a lot of shithead women out there. but strong, high-value men don't fear the idea of marriage. I didn't use the word irrational. I'd say it's about 60/40 breakdown. there are more high value folks than you think, you're just unlikely to find them single past age ~23-24
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/17 05:43 PM
1

high value women get scooped up quick. and it is about fear and distrust... a guy who fears getting taken for all he's worth in a divorce is almost certainly a weak and low-value man who will attract weak, low-value women. he should not get married.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/17 05:30 PM

I've probably rejected a few among the hundreds of guys I rejected without getting to know because I was already dating one.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/17 03:56 PM
4

the guys preaching about not getting married either aren't high value enough to attract high value women or don't have the emotional intelligence to know a marriageable woman from a bad bet... it's probably good advice for them. if you're prone to fear-based thinking and decision-making you should stay as far from the altar as possible.

OK but my question was about street walkers. so you should have answered no. and I never said all prostitutes are streetwalkers, I understand high class escorts exist, I said most. especially in small markets. and "typical guys" do not hail street walkers. "extracting resources" doesn't explain the ubiquity of marriage or why casual sex has been taboo for most of western history... why not just make all sex transactional and raise children communally? and relationships are way more expensive tha…

How about pay for a good one? Really silly how you think the only hookers there are are the ones that shit on buildings in public. Most prostitutes are not "good ones," especially not in nowhere Washington state as OP mentioned. "typical guys" are not hiring street walkers. you think the average man was benefiting in the patriarchal society? Marriage is a slave contract for boths genders. 1) the definition of single, in this context, is unmarried. a huge swath of that 50% figure are in relationships. 2) most prostitutes are street walkers and most "typical men" do not hire those women. have you? would you? have your friends? it's a gutter market. women generally turn to prostitution to support drug habits and most make very little money at it. there are a few good documentaries on the subject if you're interested. 3) I personally believe most single men are looking for a relation…

it's just another outlet for white male insecurity. the guys who join these movements don't have much going for them... the idea that they are racially superior and therefor entitled to some kind of kingdom or nation (and a loving wife and kids, natch) is all they have to cling to. where I live, the only place you'll find these kinds of views is trailer parks. you can boil it down to "but I'm white, I'm not supposed to be living like this"
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/17 03:28 PM
3

I'd say emotions affect men and women differently and each are socialized to express themselves differently. wat
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/17 02:59 PM
6

again, it's how we frame the idea of emotionality and it's not necessarily "being dumb." guys I know, for example, get incredibly invested in sports-- a pure emotional outlet-- and can get angry for days when their team loses. They're not dumb, they're just emotional, but when we define "emotional" this isn't the type of display that comes to mind. same trailer, different park as we southerners say.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/17 02:38 PM
7

exponentially is also a figure of speech. I know some violent individuals, all men. abusers, fighters, brawlers... none are especially poor although I agree poverty exacerbates bad behavior. I also know some emotional, weepy and neurotic women (one is my mother lol.) those people are all equally emotional, they just express their emotionality differently. we compartmentalize male rage and violence as somehow different than female emotional outbursts when it's really not.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/17 02:27 PM
13

disagree, men just process with different emotions: anger, status anxiety, and horniness being chief among them. this is why violent crimes are committed exponentially more often by men.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/17 02:12 PM
6

haha even more importantly, men don't analyze whether or not their desired outcome is rational... why torpedo what could be an ongoing sexual relationship just because you feeeeel horny now?

There's also a lot of racial nationalist jargon among the anti-immigration right about how we need to protect the breeding stock of white women that's more than a little off-putting to said white women. it might not be the majority sentiment, but the non white nationalists who oppose immigration are doing a bad job of controlling their message. it's the 4-chan/stormfrontization of the right.

there are two kinds of STEMlords around here: still in college and missing out on social life but convinced he'll have a 6-figure job offer to show for it upon graduation. my high school had no such women in STEM outreach program. the message we got was to follow your passion whatever it may be. neither my nor any of my friends' parents helped their kids pay for college. they didn't have the money.

women are closer to 60% of incoming freshmen IIRC. having student debt doesn't necessarily mean you graduated... in fact dropouts are the biggest liability since they got all the debt and none of the increased earning potential. this is right about on par for the statistical breakdown. I'd bet teaching degrees alone push that difference up a few percentage points since jobs often require advanced degrees and don't pay shit.

I've never seen women being, en masse, dishonest about their tastes. individuals? sure. there's virtue signalling, but the range of attractiveness is pretty well documented. the bigger issue is the systematizers on here want there to be a set of measurable standards that define a universally attractive man and that just doesn't exist.

Selective abortion of female foetuses accounts for two to four per cent of female pregnancies in India, roughly 300,000 to 600,000 per year out of 13.3 to 13.7 million carrying a girl in 2010, the study found. From 2001 to 2011, the practice increased at a rate of 170 per cent, slowing from 260 per cent over the previous decade. no, I claimed it's possible and even easy in the age of tinder and that I have several nothing-to-write-home-about friends with rousing tinder lives. a guy who struggles mightily is almost certainly below average in some meaningful way.

average guys sleep with average girls off apps like tinder all the damn time. all average guys? no, there are a lot who don't care enough to chase women or who have fwb's or girlfriends. and you know what the average girl is? fat. probably not the type that guys around here would want to put effort into pursuing for one night which is what it takes. is it worth it? oh there are subtypes in there, I'm speaking in reeaally broad brush terms. I've known a few girls (bitches, really) who played at being "one of the guys" because an all or mostly male social group is easier to control. they're a captive audience for her drama, and she gets to screen their future dates. but my really feminine friends-- not just in appearance, but personality-- are all single. they're too much of a hassle, too high maintenance, and they don't have much in common with their dates.…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/17 05:27 PM

nah, even guys with enough money to spare don't generally want to support a woman. they think of such women as freeloaders, gold diggers... I've seen that sentiment expressed here dozens of times. and they disdain traditionally feminine interests, preferring "cool girl" sporty personalities to girls who obsess over the kardashians. and they want women with high libidos, who are sexually adventurous... very masculine. the only feminine feature men still want is appearance.

I was skinnyfat for a long time... it's not a good look. every woman I know who looks curvy and "thicc" works out hard to get that way. there are a few at my gym, they look soft but they're fit af.

most people here have no idea what welfare is or how wide swaths of society benefit from it. they think single moms just get a monthly check called "welfare" just for existing and then they live happily ever after.

who would want that? sounds awful.

feminism and the misandric government have screwed men over, they no longer have a role in society.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/17 01:16 AM
3

so we agree. good. I'm not talking about player types or how life's not faaiir because attractive people have it easier (but I'll break out my tiny violin just for you,) I'm saying any average dude can get laid by a few different girls a month if he puts in the effort. and it takes less effort now in the age of tinder than it did a few decades ago... most of that legwork can be done from your living room. is it worth the effort? I can't say, I'm not a dude, but clearly to some it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/17 10:47 PM
5

you're right, casual sex with a few meh girls a month isn't worth the time and effort for most guys. they don't prioritize casual sex with randos (nor should they, really.) but for those who do, for those who reeaally want those notches on their belt and think that's an important goal it can be done.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/17 10:32 PM
0

no, I just get shown their tinder accounts and meet their dates and hear about their conquests more than I want to
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/17 10:29 PM
2

I didn't, I said they can if they prioritize shit like tinder, go out regularly, and otherwise put the effort into it. I also said most guys don't, they have a FWB or two or a girlfriend because it's easier. or they just watch porn. struck a nerve with the low value crew lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/17 09:57 PM
3

actually I said in my comment it makes no difference if you buy her shit or not. elsewhere on this sub I've said buying girls drinks is stupid. lol at least be accurate in your accusations, my dude. and lol guys pressure girls into fucking on the first date all the tiiiime. to my credit, though, I've never asked for a drink. fools and their money are just easily parted.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/17 06:17 PM
1

APALT. guys don't turn down sex with a girl just because she wants a relationship, they just ghost her. don't moralize.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/17 06:11 PM
3

because I want a free drink? lol dumb question.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/17 06:04 PM
5

I understand that, but it doesn't affect the woman's decision to have sex with you or not. we get that you want it, we just don't care. we didn't ask for that drink, you chose to buy it.

those guys being "low value" isn't why they're mocked, it's their behavior. nobody would give two shits about "MGTOW" if they didn't cry about how much they hate women all the time. just like your fat landwhales, with effort they wouldn't be so low value. while we're at it, fat landwhales are low value women. and single mothers. and trashy girls with tattoos.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/17 02:38 PM

the problem is your worldview. you're thinking "if I do x, she'll fuck me." thats the covert contract. she doesn't see it that way... she thinks, "if you're attractive and we click we'll see where it goes." you can buy her all the dinners in the world but if you're not attractive to her it doesn't matter. if you want transactional sex where chemistry doesn't matter visit an escort, she'll be happy to oblige. women who want to wait until they're in a relationship to have sex aren't being covert, …
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/17 02:32 PM

no one hates low value, they just don't want to date them. men don't want low value women either.

having come from a lower socioeconomic background I see a lot of my upbringing in their worldview. I'm by no means rich, but I have a social circle now that includes wealthier folks and they have a completely different perspective. the kind of lower class behavior (drunken fights, cheating, lazy spouses, lying about it sabotaging birth control) that haunt lower class relationships doesn't even cross their minds. the idea of divorce doesn't really cross their minds. growing up, most of my friends…

So if this is the case why is prostitution looked down so harshly by women? I'm talking about prostitution that is safe and heavily regulated of course. But even that is looked down upon by women. They call it gross and disgusting. you seem to think other people care a lot
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/17 12:57 PM
5

no one cares if some dude wants to pay for sex. don't vote for tradcon candidates.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/17 12:39 PM
9

No one has driven you to shit. women are not a hivemind who have colluded to deny you sex. you just want to see a prostitute without dealing with any social stigma. most people will always find the idea kinda gross, but if you want that experience why do you care? you're way too concerned with what people think. so is everyone but you a chad?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/17 12:28 PM
7

1) most of us don't give 2 shits if some dudes want to see prostitutes. seriously, knock yourself out. go to Nevada and get the full fancy treatment. you'll find there no lych mob when you're done. 2) most women end up settling for someone less than ideal. just like most men. I don't have any dude friends-- even the autismo weirdos and the fats-- who have never had a relationship. most are in one now.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/17 12:19 PM

let me guess... the thin, young, perky, healthy, long-haired, childless Stacy of your dreams who "loves you for who you are" won't give you a second look so you project that onto all women. low value dudes, lol, I swear. y'all should take a group trip to Thailand.

well yeah, it's a short term casual relationship. get a girlfriend if it's important to have sex x-number of days a week
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 11:17 PM

Most men want to have sex atleast a couple of times a week, So if I want to have sex 4 times a week, I would need to talk to close to 2500 women. that's retarded, just turn a few of those into FWB's
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 11:04 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 09:49 PM

I know of my friends and coworkers. they go out a few times a week and tinder at night (and at work... tsk tsk) and meet a new girl every month or so. sometimes it turns into a relationship sometimes nah.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 09:48 PM

because they have power over men, manipulate them easily, and can prevent a guy from passing on his genetic legacy without him realizing. in a male-centric society where the female perspective is considered less-than women are feared and loathed.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 09:43 PM
2

I'm not saying they should, I'm saying they are by women they'd potentially date. sluts are also looked down on by the men they'd potentially date. society at large doesn't care about either, except for tradcons.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 09:34 PM
1

most single dudes don't put a ton of effort into getting laid either.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 09:32 PM
1

which is a lot of guys, and the type of guy such a woman would want.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 09:32 PM
1

Of course. but how commonly do such women encounter that judgment? is it generally a deal-breaker? I can't say.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 08:29 PM
1

most are in relationships
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 08:26 PM
1

I'm not presuming anything, I'm just saying it's unattractive to women. It's not hard to approach, I just don't care about it. it's a tiny population of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 07:53 PM
1

because promiscuity lowers a person's value as a LTR prospect.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 07:53 PM
1

I only used those descriptions to describe some of my friends who I, personally, consider average and who get laid. they all have solid social skills and date women in their league.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 07:52 PM
3

looking down on? no. not dating or marrying? who cares?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 07:51 PM

those are more about sexual assault... "just because I'm dressed a certain way doesn't mean I'm asking for it."
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 06:59 PM
1

They brought their tinder dates around and were all over each other and usually left early together. I assume that when they said they fucked later that night they weren't making it up. if you believe yourself to be average and average women on a hookup site turn their noses up at you one of two things is going down: either those women are above average or you are below average. either way there is an error in your perception.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 06:57 PM
3

you're assuming women who go to a sperm bank are all single. many are in relationships with infertile men or men who have some kind of heritable genetic defect.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 06:53 PM
1

you're taking average as an objective measure. it's not, it's determined by your relationship to the rest of the population. I see guys who I define as average getting laid on tinder all the time. then I see guys on the internet who claim to be average who think it's an impossible task. I employ occams razor and draw the obvious conclusion.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 06:52 PM
2

why are you so defensive? why are you presuming my opinion on women who go to sperm banks?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 06:50 PM
1

I think it varies by individual, not age
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 06:49 PM
1

not necessarily... but we're not just talking about trivial matters so why make the distinction?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 06:48 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 06:46 PM

masculinity and femininity exist on a spectrum. very few people are absolutely masculine or feminine, we're all a mixture of the two.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:58 PM
1

no, because that's what the evidence points to. you put a lot of effort into getting casual sex but aren't able to. which means one way or another you're inflating your own value relative to how women perceive you. I assume typing in all caps indicates an emotional outburst
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:57 PM
5

no one, men just seem to want women to approve of it to the extent that it's not a deal-breaker down the road. hence OP's use of value judgement words like "ok" and "wrong." society doesn't care if you hire an escort, but your future wife will.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:55 PM
1

prostitutes at a brothel are less likely to have STD's than a rando at a bar. their livelihood depends on it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:55 PM
1

I simply observe. I don't know any chads but my single friends all manage to get laid.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:52 PM
1

I only gave my definition of an average guy. "average" is a relative judgment, not an absolute one. it's made by comparing people to each other. I don't know any guys IRL who haven't been able to get laid off tinder, and I don't know any models or athletes. and no, I said very explicitly that if they don't get casual sex they might just not really care enough to try. but if they really try and can't they're either below average or shooting out of their league.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:50 PM
3

because they're low value relationship material. you're trying for a "gotcha" but proving my point lol
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:49 PM
1

I'm only talking about guys who consostently try for casual sex. calm your omega male rage, goodness.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:48 PM
1

children are usually very decisive, just not realistic. they know they want ice cream for dinner and a pony! indecisiveness is a really common trait, I don't consider it childish. I know a lot of indecisive people.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:46 PM
2

this is weird
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:46 PM
1

I'm only defining average in a sexual context. for a heterosexual man, only women can define that. for a heterosexual woman, only women can define that. if you are able to get casual sex from women who men generally consider average you're average. for example most women are fat, so if you're boning fat chicks you're probably average. only a very, very small percentage of women are young and have healthy bmi's.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:42 PM
0

Once a month isn't a lot if you're tindering every night and going out a few times a week. if they don't get laid they are either low value or trying to punch above their weight. you don't define your value to women, women do.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:37 PM
3

omega male hamstering
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:35 PM
1

again, it's quite simple. if women perceive you as below average you will not get the results you want with average women. as a man you.do not determine what that looks like, neither do i. the female collective decides, I just observe.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:34 PM
3

is Chad the only guy who doesn't visit prostitutes? what a stinker
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:25 PM
1

objectively? if we're talking about a stranger? nothing. but if it's someone were dating it's gross to know they were ever that desperate, it makes us wonder what is/was wrong with them that they had to go there
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:22 PM
2

the only guys who are telling me this are RP guys: low value. guys I know IRL tell me quite the opposite, and I see it happen. do they get laid at the end of most parties? no. as I said, about once a month.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:19 PM
2

says you, a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:18 PM
2

why do you think femininity is childish? you-- like the rest of society-- clearly do not value feminine traits because I never said any such thing. feminine traits are also not exclusive to women. I know quite a few men who have feminine personalities and interests.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:13 PM
3

I'm disagreeing with your premise that its seen as "wrong" to visit a prostitute. it's not, it's just gross and unattractive. you're conflating the two.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:12 PM
1

no, most average guys do get casual sex. my friends even turn girls down. They cast a wide net, they drink, they party, they have a lot of friends, they're 420-friendly.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:11 PM
1

most average guys get laid. tinder is a numbers game. most matches won't pan out, but a small percentage will. the average guys I know get laid about once a month from tinder. if you're not, you're almost certainly below average either in your looks or social skills.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:09 PM
2

it's a very simple equation. there are two reasons why a guy doesn't get casual sex: 1) he's low value, or lower value than the women he pursues 2) he doesn't want it or doesn't care enough to try.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 05:04 PM
3

the only people who think it's "wrong" are conservatives and traditionalists and few people care if those people judge their morality. they also think you should go to church and never take birth control, who cares? the bigger issue is women just don't find it attractive. it's a grossout deal-breaker for most.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 04:56 PM
11

because they're fat and/or have overbearing personalities. you're proving my point. if you have to argue that a certain trait or behavior is attractive it isn't.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 04:55 PM
2

because those people often don't want casual sex or don't want it enough to put much energy toward it
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 04:53 PM
3

their social skills are fine? says you. put them in the company of attractive women and see how fine their social skills are. a lot of guys completely lose their cool and act like blathering spergatroids around women they're attracted to. Tinder is a numbers game. if you're consistently shooting for women out of your league you'll get a few matches but likely not enough to hedge your bets. matching just means you meet the bare minimum acceptable looks, not that you're necessarily a good option.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 04:52 PM
2

yes, because the large number of people (like me) who only have sex in LTR's bring the average down.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 04:45 PM
11

why are men so desperate for women to approve of them paying for sex? women will always see it as a sign of desperation and low value no matter how much you try to negotiate.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 04:43 PM
3

average is about more than just looks. lots of objectively decent looking guys can't get laid because they have shit social skills. that also makes a person below average. there are also a load of guys who could get laid it they had a more realistic idea of how women perceive them. they shoot for women out of their league without knowing it because they think they're more attractive than they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 04:40 PM
2

very few of us will get into a relationship with a 10/10, but most of us still manage to form attractions to less attractive people in our league. there is no threshold above which you're objectively attractive and below which you're unattractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/17 04:36 PM

I don't want to believe anything. I've seen denial (and, sometimes, eventual acceptance or even remediation) of misogyny many times both online and IRL. it springs from a fundamental inability to relate to women. ingroup/outgroup thinking. racism is similar... it's a very stigmatized label that very few people willingly take on even if they fit the bill.

I think there are a lot of RP guys who love a feminine ideal, but hate flesh-and-blood women. or guys who love women's sex appeal but hate them as people and attribute negative, even nefarious traits to them.

no, it's an emotional construct. he's returning very real hatred for perceived hatred. he feels like women hate him as a man (surely a lack of sex at key points in his life played into this, male solipsism) so he feels vindicated in his hatred of women. it's a victim complex, in reality women don't give a rats ass about him.

I'd say it's a matrix of traits positively associated with motherhood. indirect communication and skills in manipulation. a feminine person does not directly confront, they wear a mask of submissiveness. they can get a less socially astute person to do their bidding through strategic flattery. nurturing, cares deeply about those close to them. this can manifest as nagging when values are misaligned. deeply invested in interpersonal relationships and attuned to the emotional needs of others. this…

feminine women are interested in things like celebrity gossip and makeup tutorials. many people quantify this as "stupid shit." and submissiveness outside a relationship context is indecisiveness.

Feminists want so much to be like men, they forgot about good ole' femininity. society hates femininity. men only want an idealized fantasy of what femininity means. The fact that women are naturally more submissive and passive actively pisses feminists off, and they believe gender roles are all a social construct. male projection and fantasy. Feminists point fingers at men while taking all the responsibility away from men, thus treating women like children. ...taking responsibility away from me…

a good example is how TRP guys think women hate "average" guys... because they perceive themselves as average and women don't want to have sex with them. two mistakes are going on here. one: average guys do not, as a rule, gravitate to TRP. those guys are below average. even if they're decent looking, they lack social skills. if you're mad awkward around mixed company you're below average. if you're so resentful and confused by the dating scene that you find your way to TRP you're almost certain…

society hates femininity, and has for a long time. feminine women are golddiggers, lazy, freeloaders, gossipy, obsessed with dumb Kardashian bullshit, shallow, vain, high maintenance, emotional, hysterical, you name it... a woman can only pull off femininity if she's attractive and even then she'll be resented by many men and women alike.

it takes cooking skills to put together a healthy menu that isn't boring/repetitive. but then again I have high standards for what I eat, I'm sure there are plenty of people who can get by on the same chicken breast or steak every night but I couldn't. but again... if you believe mainstream diet advice eating steak a few nights a week will send you to an early grave, and god forbid you put some herbed butter on it your poor heart.

for the vast majority of practitioners, HAES and it's ilk are just copes. if people had real, effective advice that would actually lead to weight loss (cut out the sugar, limit the carbs) they'd abandon any such fat-is-beautiful pretenses in a hot second. for most people, following mainstream weight loss advice will make you fatter. so it looks more and more like something that has nothing to do with how you eat to your average shmuck.

sugar causes an insulin spike which activates the hormones that make you feel hungry. that makes it difficult to eat fewer calories without changing the content of your diet, especially when most processed foods contain a ton of low-key sugar and mainstream advice says that's exactly how you should be eating. if you can't cook you're screwed, and most people these days can't cook.

I believe it... I also wonder what difference it makes if it's a first pregnancy or not. our ancestors would have had kids well into their 30's at least, but that would be a decade+ into their childbearing "career." many women now aren't even starting to try until their mid-30's now, but then those women tend to be wealthier and have all the heft of modern medicine behind them.

get off the internet... people criticize women all the time and they've never heard of the red pill. the difference between run-of-the-mill "bitches, right?" and TRP's particular brand of sexism is most people don't try to couch their criticism in pseudoscientific jargon about "female nature." women are like men in that they are people. there are good women, shitty women, backstabbing women, kind women, fat women, thin women, desperate women, confident women, etc. "women are hypergamous whores" …

to me. so are awkward people. so are people who prioritize other parts of their lives. so are people with emotional baggage. so are people with mental illnesses. there's no shame in that, they just don't align with what I personally consider a good marriage prospect.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 03:03 PM

because it's not, despite your feelings. anyone is free to date or marry whoever they want. I am not shaming anyone by not marrying them.

RP advocates personal grooming and style, going to the gym or else getting gym equipment, going out to social venues 🤑🤑🤑 I'm guessing that since you've "given up on women" you've put your time, energy, and money into different pursuits. there's a profit to be made! telling guys "fuck bitches, man... put that money into my brand of video game console and drink my brand of beer instead. you know what? reward yourself, buy my brand of motorcycle. be your own independent man!" is a great way to make…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 02:55 PM

not by my definition. a person can marry whoever they want, your business is your own. there's no reason to insult people, just filter your prospects according to your values.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 02:51 PM
1

most redpillers are. it's a sub about sexual strategy. and if you pay a hooker then hey, she's profiting handsomely. if you watch porn instead you're giving lots of tasty views and data to advertisers.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 02:50 PM
1

where did I shame anyone? your value as a marriage prospect doesn't affect your value as a person.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 02:47 PM
1

what's that
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 02:39 PM
1

yes. promiscuous men are as well. and people who were too awkward/socially unskilled to date. and people who prioritized other things. and people with emotional baggage. and unattractive people. there are many factors that make a person a lower value marriage prospect.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 02:38 PM
2

a ton of people. guys trying to get laid keep the economy greased.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 02:36 PM

robert fisher coopted a lot of his ideas and language from PUA. I didn't say they're undateable, I said they're generally lower value marriage prospects for any number of reasons. I'm not claiming anyone is or isn't a slut-- I don't pretend to be able to generalize an entire demographic's sexual habits-- you are.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 02:30 PM

it's not foolproof, but breastfeeding affects a woman's hormones in such a way that it's pretty unlikely that she'll get pregnant. our ancestors would have breastfed longer in lean times (meaning they were also taking on fewer calories) for this exact purpose. there are a few anthropologists who have written books on this topic that are pretty interesting!
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 02:19 PM
2

Why would you make anything up? There is no real demand for explaining how women work. There is no profit to be made. tell that to all those pick up coaches and dating coaches and authors and marketers and advertising execs
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 02:17 PM
2

our ancestors breastfed for varying amounts of time... longer if they wanted to prevent another pregnancy. some thin women have large breasts for the same reason some fat women have small ones or why some women have large areolas and some have small ones... or why some people are tall and some are short. or why some people have hair on their toes and some don't: the roll of the genetic dice. but they all have the same mammary tissue.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 02:05 PM
2

6 months is perfectly normal. 2 years is not. both the breast and the nipple change shape during and after pregnancy, and it's different for every woman. the actual mammary glands and milk ducts are a very small part of the breast... it's mostly fat deposits which vary from person to person.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 01:49 PM
2

lol yeah 2 year olds aren't breastfed... that's some attachment parenting shit. every woman and every baby is different... some babies don't take as quickly or as easily as others. but the placement of the nipple isn't the issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 01:22 PM
3

it literally makes no difference and babies aren't breastfed every hour for 2 years... I am so curious where your info is coming from
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 11:48 AM
2

Big boobs aren't especially sexually desired, but good looking boobs are. They can be hint of ability to breastfeed, if your nipples are fucked up and at the wrong place because your boobs are saggy as fuck, it'll be more difficult. lmao boob shape has fuck all to do with ability to breastfeed
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 11:41 AM

it helps to figure this stuff out at a younger age, but it's not like you're doomed to a life of loneliness of you were unpopular in high school. better late than never. the biggest hurdle anti-social adults have to deal with IMO is a lack of patience for bullshit... because a party environment will inevitably involve entertaining some annoying people.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 11:34 AM

because it's a solipsistic point of view. this other person has her own existence, her own life, and there are a myriad of reasons why she doesn't want to be bothered right now.

most people have the instinct to tell when someone is "off." from there we can only guess who's bad news and who's just awkward, but awkward people rarely get the benefit of that doubt.

misogyny, in your case, is the result of being labeled a creep: "women seem wicked when you're unwanted." so lets get that out of the way. creepiness is the combination of two basic behavioral patterns: nervousness in social situations and unwanted persistence. when you're socially awkward or have built a person up in your head and are finally getting to talk to them you're likely to be visibly nervous. but to someone who doesn't live in your head and doesn't know what you're thinking that's a r…

I hear what you're saying, but that hasn't been my experience. a good chunk of complaints-- even valid ones-- are waved off. especially if the "defendant" is considered a valuable employee. part of hr's job is to assess how likely an unresolved complaint is to turn into a lawsuit, but if that's low they'll avoid action when they can in the absence of damning evidence. offering severance and training a replacement are expensive endeavors.

I'm honestly curious how often this happens. I have a lot of experience with sexual harassment at work... I've been the target on several occasions and I've also witnessed it as a nonparticipant. an older boss of mine was-- in my opinion-- falsely accused of sexual harassment by two of his male employees who claimed to have heard him make some untoward remarks toward a female recruiter. they had an axe to grind. none of those people were fired. none were even disciplined. the process, when repor…

yes, I did too for Indian guides (my parents were broke, don't judge.) but you and I aren't paleolithic humans. most skills required for survival are simple in isolation
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/17 09:33 PM

not nowadays. Harder with bears in the woods and no lighter fluid, no starter logs, no matches. it's as impressive as any paleolithic skill.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/17 08:38 PM

not from a modern human perspective. we also have matches and lighter fluid and charcoal and starter logs and don't have to worry about there being bears when you go out to collect wood.

people forget too that having an extraordinarily high, outlier IQ isn't necessarily an all-out good thing. there are significant drawbacks when it comes to your ability to function as a member of society. those people often struggle to relate to and communicate with their peers. they're well suited for highly technical roles, but usually make terrible leaders. the best leaders have above-average IQ and very high EQ.

different dynamics. at 20, most people are single-- even if you're dating someone it's most likely not the person you're going to marry, you're just having fun. at 40, most people are married and a large percentage of available singles are divorced and/or have kids. even if your appearance didn't degrade at all you'd have fewer and lower quality options at that age.

as someone who earns six figures and does all of the cooking and some of the cleaning in my household I very much disagree. it takes quite a bit of skill, especially if you want to eat healthy/whole. and none of this is accounting for child rearing. I was raised by a SAHM and she busted her ass all day every day to run a clean, efficient household and keep all kids and pets healthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/17 07:24 PM

outlier case. the nonworking spouse's support and household duties are considered an equal contribution.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/17 07:12 PM

that doesn't matter, when you get married the assets you accrue are considered marital assets. if, as a couple, you agree one partner will stay home it's under the pretense that although they are foregoing financial earnings they are continuing to provide value to your household. at some point you have to exercise common sense... if you're making six figures don't marry a waitress with no work ethic, because your assets legally become shared.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/17 12:56 PM

no... it's feeling like your partner isn't keeping up his or her end of the bargain, which breeds resentment and eventually contempt over the years. feeling like you have to tell that person what to do because they otherwise won't take initiative, that they're childish. that's what causes divorce.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/17 12:55 PM

it'd be convenient for us of we could get you out of our hair. women prefer to fuck people they're familiar with, though (in their social circle, who they have some kind of rapport with) so it wouldn't help you. you'd be removing yourself from her consideration before you have a chance to get on her radar.

/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 09:33 PM

because these things don't happen in a vacuum. it doesn't take much to go from that quiet guy to that creepy guy. there's no reason to practice awkward rudeness as a part of learning to be more charismatic and it's ultimately counterproductive
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 09:06 PM
5

no that's not how social skills work. teaching a risk averse person to take risks that will almost certainly result in pissing people off or social chastisement (uncalled for rudeness) is never a good idea. rather, they should be taught to take social risks that might result in rejection (inviting a coworker out for beers.) even if it doesn't work out, their interaction was a net positive and the burden of rudeness is on the other person. two different sets of behavior entirely.

sure but in the meantime what's preferable? nothing at all or just sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 04:21 PM

you're, what? 4 hours from Vegas? why not just hire an escort to get that experience and get the monkey off your back?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 04:19 PM
3

you solicited my opinion. you got my opinion.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 04:14 PM
6

are you a woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 04:12 PM
5

then she's a dumbass and wasted two families' time. OP is talking about hiding his intentions not to marry. two different things.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 04:06 PM
3

Okay, fine, in your personal opinion you reject it, but you honestly don't think other women feel their value is threatened, if only subconsciously? no. And let's suppose it was something else that DID threaten your smv, an external factor that hypothetically you agree threatened your mating or relationship value, would you view that as a positive, or a negative? still an irrelevant question however you pose it
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 04:03 PM

if a woman told me she was going to go through the rigamaroll of an engagement only to stage a breakup id tell her she's a dumbass too
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 04:02 PM

😂
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 03:54 PM

I think it's an irrelevant question since I reject your premise that sex robots are going to radically change dating dynamics
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 03:53 PM

I didn't ignore it, I rejected your premise.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 03:46 PM

what business? the only reference to his supposed business is that he doesn't actually have anything to do with it
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 03:35 PM

even a good engagement is stressful af. we didn't have half that drama but it was still an insanely stressful time. engagements become more about various and sundry family agendas than they ever were about the couple. you become a supporting character in your own story.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 03:22 PM
1

not recently, no
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 03:16 PM
4

well you clearly have no idea what an engagement entails when it comes to expectations from family, was just double checking that you are in fact talking out of your ass
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 03:11 PM
4

that's the only point I'm making. even knowing that porn is fake, it still affects your perception of reality wrt sex. see? we agree after all.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 03:09 PM

didn't think so.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 03:08 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 03:04 PM

what's your cake? buying an expensive piece of jewelry for someone who will dump you when they realize you have no intent to marry them? I mean, you can have that cake it sounds shitty
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 03:01 PM

the point being they are made-- in whatever various ways you will-- to look bigger and this can lead inexperience male viewers to think they must be on the smaller side when this isn't necessarily true.

what benefits are there to being engaged?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 02:58 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 02:58 PM

I think we'll end up with a "Her" type scenario eventually, and it'll be a two-way street. men and women will both benefit from digital companions. I don't think anyone would notice if all the guys prattling on about sex robots "dropped out." it's not as major a fixation as you seem to think, but your revenge boner makes me think you are among those unsuccessful guys and that clearly informs your perspective. you may talk to a lot of guys online about a mutual desire for sex robots, but that's i…

an engagement is a promise to marry. I dunno why the fuck you'd get engaged if you're anti-marriage, what a waste. if you don't want to get married just be up front about it with the people you get serious with.

/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 02:22 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 02:08 PM

oh I've talked about porn in intimate/personal conversations. my husband and I joke about the porn we watch all the time. I've just not had a casual conversation about porn in anything other than the abstract. I don't casually describe my sex life to people either.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 02:00 PM

typical RP wet blanket 😂 I don't know I've never had a woman talk shit about porn to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 01:57 PM

porn isn't weird, bringing it up in conversation is. it's a very private subject.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 01:51 PM

my orbiters have to check in with a feminist parole officer once a week to make sure they're not watching porn. I also have their ISP's monitoring their internet use. damn you, pornhub! shakes fist
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 01:49 PM

porn has a very real effect on peoples-- especially mens-- perceptions of sex. most guys have watched a decent amount (if not a metric ton) of porn by the time they lose their virginity, so on some level their expectations have already been set. I don't think teenage boys have as solid a grounding as you when it comes to the realities of sex. I mean, the fact that prosthetic dicks are often used in porn doesn't stop guys from feeling inadequate after years of watching it. that said, I don't thin…

he's not been barred from talking... he talked quite a bit, on multiple alts on a sub of his own creation. but he's made himself into a public figure and as such has opened himself up to criticism for the things he says. freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from social consequences for the content of that speech, especially not for an elected official. how stupid can you be? and the people speaking out against him have freedom of speech too, they're exercising it.

it's driven by 20-something indebtedness and the spread of lower class social mores. it's absolutely still scandalous for upper class folks to have kids out of wedlock (remember Bristol Palin?) but increasingly not so much the (former) middle class. part of this is because graduating from college 6 figures in debt doesn't give you great odds of accruing the typical trappings of a middle class lifestyle. people are tumbling down the ladder

he made it very clear that he was speaking for male sexuality broadly and that anyone who disagreed is a cuck it's tough to state an average day, depends what I'm doing and who I'm around. sexpest = guy hitting on you.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/17 03:55 PM
1

he made it clear he was speaking for all men except "BP cucks." I don't think every man who talks to me is harassing me. I think sexpests are annoying
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/17 03:30 PM

I literally had a redpiller tell me yesterday it is a part of male sexuality. you must be virtue signalling
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/17 03:05 PM
1

it's human nature to avoid starvation and if that's all that's available, sure. but ritualistic cannibalism is only common in certain cultures and can therefor be determined to be a cultural phenomenon. rape happens across every culture. so it would appear that, absent societal controls like education, rape is a normal part of male sexuality.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/17 02:48 PM

don't poverty and lack of education cause people to revert to basic human nature?

no, no you're confused. men are not validated by female approval at all. sex with a 10 is not a validating experience. if the laws were different you'd just rape her, so whether or not she desires you is meaningless.

you're male sexuality-shaming cuck for disagreeing
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/17 11:44 AM
8

according to a conversation I had with a redpiller yesterday men don't seek female validation/approval because they don't view women as human. fucking an attractive girl is not an accomplishment or a validating experience because they'd just as well rape her. was interesting to see such an extreme radfem perspective supported like that. turns out I've been giving you guys way too much credit and you really are all rapists waiting to happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/17 11:38 AM

stop reading so many anger phase radfems, you're getting way too worked up

/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/17 12:44 AM

I'm not shaming anyone, least of all you. I'm repeating back what you said, don't be fragile. you are the one being incredibly solipsistic, and projecting your particular mindset on everyone while writing off those who differ as "BP cucks." it's the definition of black and white thinking. and on that note, gotta be done with this discussion. it's long since gone stale
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/17 12:20 AM
1

your problem is you're speaking in terms of "male nature" and inborn male sexuality. such a thing would apply to men universally, it wouldn't exclude or manifest differently in "BP cucks." all the evidence I've seen-- and as a cardog I can't speak for you-- indicates that men crave being desired. sex with an unwilling or disinterested partner, be it a rape victim or starfish duty sex, is unrewarding or unpleasant. my point several comments back was that being prone to rape or being aroused in th…

I'm not talking about what's good to do... women are somewhere between a dog and a car, after all, so there's no use in moralizing as if they're people. you're making blanket statements about how men as a class think and behave-- that rape is a normal product of male sexuality and not an aberration-- so it stands to reason that these truisms would apply to you. I'm talking to you and we're pretty far down this thread, so I can't really ask anyone else. and it would appear you're a more black and…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/17 11:34 PM

it's really quite a straightforward question: would you get off on and enjoy sex when you know you are forcing the other person and that she is not enjoying it? where she does not want you? the guys on this board talk a lot about their desire to be desired by women, but you're arguing that's not the case due to your predatory nature. I'm actually thinking men are quite nuanced, that some men do rape but that they are on the extreme end of a spectrum and often disordered in various ways. you're t…

no, she's in pain, screaming, trying to escape. but nobody cares.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/17 08:47 PM
1

so you would hold a woman down and rape her knowing you were hurting her if there were no consequences?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/17 08:23 PM
1

...sure, and I think there are a cocktail of mental illnesses, personality disorders, and cultural factors that lead to that behavior. but it's not normal or expected behavior anymore than theft of murder is.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/17 08:11 PM
1

what does this possibly have to do with collectivism? lol what a load of cope: "can't reject me, I don't even see you as a person" 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/17 07:03 PM
1

if I want something from you and you want nothing from me, then you have the power in that you can deny me that thing. it might not be a big deal to me and I move on, but that's the dynamic i establish for whatever minimal relationship we have when I approach you and ask.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/17 06:32 PM
1

sure, it's a figure of speech for a woman who is seen as disposable and only used for sex. there's an established relationship and power dynamic there. a hot girl at a bar with the power to reject you isn't a sex object, she's someone you're sexualizing. if anything, the guys approaching her are presenting themselves as sex objects in her eyes. undesirable sex objects, but still.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/17 05:46 PM
1

objectification is different than sexualization, though they are often mistakenly conflated. objectification is reducing a person to the sum of their parts and sexualization is seeing that person first and foremost as a sex partner (potential or actual.) objectification is more of a media phenomenon than an IRL one. usually when women complain of being objectified they mean sexualized.

/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/17 04:28 PM
3

no, you're just hamstering. a 10/10 has all the options in the world, so being the one she chooses is very validating. men crave the validation of feeling genuinely desired by an attractive woman, which is why prostitution-- even when legalized-- hasn't caught on as an alternative. perhaps having a 10 want you for sex has no affect on you and doesn't make you feel validated, but that places you in a very small minority. women don't compete for sex and being wanted for casual sex is not a validat…

yup, drok's hamstering
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/17 03:55 PM
1

sure, but men still have to convince those sluts to fuck them even if they're in a compromised frame of mind... a drunk or heartbroken 10 is still going to have every other guy in the bar or pm tinder trying to go home with her so you still have to compete for her approval. it's validating to be the one an attractive woman with tons of options chooses.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/17 03:32 PM
2

of course, but where do you draw the line if male nature is predatory? and why do men in countries where prostitution is cheap and legal even bother courting women if their approval doesn't matter? seems to me legal, safe, and affordable brothels haven't stopped guys from going out to meet and try to impress women. and why are so many redpill guys concerned whether women truly find them attractive or just fuck them for their money? they're having sex either way.

are you implying he's a date rapist? I'm not a guy, but I can't imagine one would reflect back fondly on the night you spent with a 10 who you drugged and dragged back to your apartment, or got so drunk she couldn't say no... but who am I to say, maybe I've been giving men too much credit and you really are all rapists.

OP does PUA, which is all about winning women's approval. I'm not sure how having a predatory nature makes a difference unless you're implying he's a rapist.

he's validated that he was selected for sex by someone he considers a 10. she approved of him sexually, and he drives worth from that. he could easily pay for sex with a 10, but that wouldn't be validating because he wouldn't have to win her approval.

it's still not mainstream advice and it hasn't been long enough to turn things around. and unless you make everything from scratch even non-sweet items are loaded with it. there's a reason sugar is the only thing on the nutrition label without a percent daily value. calories in/calories out is an oversimplication because macros count. there's a reason keto is so effective.

being a nerd doesn't automatically mean you're a loser or a spergatroid, though. my friends and I were nerds, made A's (in STEM fields, no less!) and still found time to party. not every night, but we had fun. your claim that that thinking for yourself precludes partying sounds like sour grapes to me.

yes it is. outside of management the best of them make low-100's to low-200's with bonuses factored in. unless you're talking about Silicon Valley in which case $500k is barely enough to afford you a house, you're not going to get gold dug for that salary out there.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/17 12:30 AM

that's quite an elaborate fantasy you've woven! and no, gold digging isn't a waiting game. you don't date an awkward engineer for years in the hopes that he might someday make bank. there are apps and websites that connect you right to the top of the heap. and any gold digger worth her salt has already established her upper class social network by the time she graduates.

/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/17 11:39 PM

exactly. we're talking about value. value isn't innate, it's defined by the market. if I'm trying to sell my car for $12,000 and the most anyone will offer me is $3,500 I've obviously overestimated it's value. and yeah, I think it's insanely easy to overestimate your own attractiveness because you're aware of everything you have to offer. you're evaluating yourself-- subconsciously or not-- based on the whole package, not just what someone can glean from a brief interaction.

yes, that's exactly right. like an atheist still recognizes the concept of god. I actually sympathize with radfems on a lot of fronts. I believe that gender dysphoria does occur in rare individuals, but I think there are young people now thinking "oh, I'm caring and I like knitting and domestic work, I must be a trans woman." like, no... you're just a guy who's into traditionally feminine stuff. nothing wrong with that, it doesn't make you a woman. in a very real sense, the push for gender aboli…

plenty of kids with married parents turn out shitty. plenty of kids with single moms who's dads are still in the picture turn out shitty. plenty of kids with stepdads turn out shitty. the big difference maker, really, in how those kids turn out is poverty. single moms are way more likely to be poor. poor people are way more likely to live in dangerous neighborhoods with failing schools. and the disadvantages keep adding up.

the ironic thing is whenever a woman who has been treated badly by a man rants about men being shitty they lose their shit and are the first to call her a misandrist. but when they do the same we have to have compassion and think of their feelings.

you can't get a divorce at the drop of a hat... in my state there's a mandatory year-long separation. furthermore, states now so everything in their power to award joint custody. less than half of custodial mothers get child support, and alimony awards are quite rare. but look, if you're risk-averse and divorce is something you fear that much you shouldn't get married or have kids. nobody is forcing you to! but you also have to understand that as you get older your friends will pair off, start f…

we're talking about different things. in college you're surrounded by thousands of young and mostly single people... there is no better time or place to find a future spouse. people who prioritize relationships will almost all find each other during these years, while others prefer to prioritize other things or just play the field. those people who didn't pursue relationships will get set in their ways and accrue baggage as they age... they werent great candidates at 22 but they're worse candida…

I'm sure you get women. but they are lower quality marriage prospects than those who you might have met when you were younger.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/17 04:30 PM
7

and you're going to attract women who want you for your money. like I said, high value marriage candidates partner up with each other young.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/17 04:29 PM
3

ideally you meet someone young, vet them for a few years, and marry them mid-late twenties. high value marriage prospects usually partner up young. if you're single in your late twenties you're looking at a vastly degraded dating pool.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/17 04:26 PM
1

not in the way you think, which is pure adult male projection. playing with barbies and dolls is mimicry of a girl's mother and has nothing to do with sexuality.

no, I'm saying any young partner does
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/17 04:16 PM

and that's a viable strategy, just know that your options are constantly degrading. that's the tradeoff. you'll never have as good a dating pool for LTRs as you did when you were young.

you can be a decent person and not a good marriage prospect. a successful marriage requires a pretty specific set of traits. and surely there are some good prospects in there, but IMO the preponderance are not. that goes for men and women.

I've pointed this out many times. it's easy to point to an average or below average looking couple and say "yeah, those people look well matched." but it's much harder to admit to yourself that you're below average and you'd be best matched with a less attractive partner. and since most singles-- statistically speaking-- are average or below this makes for a pretty shitty environment to try to find love in. everyone thinks they deserve better than what's available. everyone's frustrated that the…

IIRC a younger partner presents a higher risk of divorce (maturity issues, cheating because they "don't feel like they got to experience life," etc.) likelihood of divorce decreases inversely with age of first marriage up until the early/mid thirties, when it starts to rise again.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/17 02:13 PM
3

I just think of that as low value people taking themselves out of the dating/marriage pool. male or female, if you deprioritize companionship until that late in life (30 is still young but not in terms of first marriage) you're probably going to be a shitty, selfish partner.

this is a very lower-middle class outlook. young marriages have an extraordinarily high rate of failure... the best strategy, in my opinion, is for two young people to date each other for an extended period of time in their twenties and then tie the knot when they're a bit older. this gives them both a pretty good idea of each other's ability to commit long-term. better to break up because you're sexually bored and have lots of options than divorce because you're sexually bored and have lots of …

The only men who would be empowered by such a system would be the fathers who wanted to keep the baby when their partners didn't. the court would almost certainly privilege the desire for parenthood, but he'd then become the fully custodial parent and have to raise the child on his own.

not to mention loneliness... we're wired to seek companionship and as your other friends get into relationships and start families they'll have less time to hang and you're going to feel real alone at times. if OP doesn't start looking now when he's 22 he's going to find himself lonely at 28 or 29 with substantially shittier, lower value options than he had 6 years ago. loneliness is quite literally a health hazard after a certain age.

paternal abortion would force the courts to force couples to reach an agreement on termination of a pregnancy, since a child has a right to support from both parents (fathers rights advocates fight on this basis.) like any other legal dispute this could take many months to resolve and would ultimately end in the births of way more kids since late-term abortions are almost universally banned. if hypergamy is about procuring the best resources, how do social programs support that? they're basically keeping mothers in poverty afloat. I wouldn't call $50/week in food stamps "the best resources" nor would I call an alcoholic, dead-beat dad "the best genes." women very rarely end up on support programs because they had an edgy bad boys kids and fell from middle class grace... these are almost all women who grew up in desperately poor, drug-infested communities.

/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/17 12:38 AM

actually that's not true, my city has several (3) male-only shelters, in addition to coed shelters. the issue is socialization... men are socialized to be stoic, to deal with their shit, not to show weakness. even when help is available many won't avail themselves of it. I'd argue that the burden is on their friends and families to be more attentive and check up on their loved ones even when they don't initiate contact.

I'm not saying he passive, I'm saying wait for someone worthy of your pursuit. or, again, get in shape. men don't experience bad, painful, inorgasmic sex-- or they experience it very rarely. women do. we'd rather go a long time without sex than have bad sex with someone were not attracted or connected to.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 10:13 PM

incel? there's nothing involuntary about choosing celibacy over someone you consider unattractive. and if you're only able to attract people who you consider less attractive than yourself, maybe you ought to improve yourself and get in better shape or find some better porn while you wait for the right person to come along.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 09:58 PM
1

what claims have I made?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 09:36 PM

no, it's not. nobody is forcing anyone to date anyone else... it's supply and demand. if a man is with a less attractive woman it's because he decided that having a relationship is more important to him than finding a more attractive partner. he decided to pursue her, nobody put a gun to his head and said this is the best you can get. put your victim complex away.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 09:35 PM

no reason not to if that's what you want, but a 6-7/10 is not ugly and that was the topic of the post
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 09:17 PM

men are, on average, more socially isolated and less likely to seek help (be it a therapist, a doctor, family, etc.) when they're struggling. they're also more impulsive (linked to testosterone) and more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol. I'd imagine all these factors contribute.

kids having crushes isn't the same as "sizing up men and sexualizing them from a young age." it's hormonal infatuation, an intense interest in someone. and boys get crushes just as often as girls. hell most people don't even know what sex is when they get their first crush.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 07:48 PM

some people will always be better looking, but the vast majority of non-deformed people could be at least average. they might not ever be conventionally hot (although some could) but they could be average. and I'm not saying its easy. /r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 07:20 PM

that's my point. side bitches are short term deals and they carry on other affairs of their own. neither partner is fully committed there. a guy who wants polygamy wants to provide resources and long term commitment for multiple women and their children... a side bitch getting pregnant would be a happy occasion for a polygamous man, not a disaster.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 07:15 PM

average people are not ugly and that's the topic of conversation

what you said doesn't negate what I said.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 07:07 PM

of course! we are wired to seek affection, but those men want a girlfriend in addition to novel sex partners. not multiple commitments.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 07:07 PM
1

you're missing the point because you'd rather be outraged: I don't believe any narratives. we don't know what went on.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 07:01 PM
2

I'm not denying those people exist, I'm saying they are an extreme minority. and nah, most men find relationships just fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 07:00 PM
4

nah, you're lying to yourself that what you desire is universal. classic male solipsism. if men were truly as polygamous as you claim-- if men wanted to accrue multiple committed women as opposed to casual sex partners-- they'd be seeking relationships with women and not just sex. prostitution would be unappealing, and men would typically try to convince one night stands to become committed partners. hell, men wouldn't be after casual sex at all, they'd be after new girlfriends.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 06:57 PM
2

the number of (non-deformed) people with structural issues so severe that, even when they're fit and well-styled, they're still below average is very small. they might never be hot in the conventional sense but nor are they ugly.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 06:48 PM
3

I meant that you were projecting your own desires and oversimplifying "male nature," not that the dictionary definition of polygamy is oversimplified. I don't doubt that it's your nature... it's lots of people's nature's. but it's not mens nature as a rule.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 06:37 PM
1

the vast majority of unattractive people are just overweight or sloppy. not everyone is going to be a supermodel but with some effort put into grooming and fitness there are very few people who couldn't be at least average.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 06:34 PM
3

I think you're drastically oversimplifying and projecting. I'm not a man, but I can tell you women get equally possessive of their men. we have gut-level disgust to cheating men. I also think that, although most men do seek novel sex partners, they do not want to commit to and provide for multiple women.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 06:08 PM
2

I'm aware what polygamy is. marriage is a societal construct no one is "wired" for it. men want to sleep with multiple novel women, not support them for life
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 05:53 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 04:18 PM

no, because society doesn't work like that. social mores and preferences evolve over time, we don't just collectively decide something on a whim. and sexual morality, as I said in another comment, has changed quite a bit over time.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 04:12 PM
6

but society determines what is something you ought to be proud of and what is not. and these mores have changed over time: nowadays someone who waits til marriage is a religious weirdo but not so long ago it was considered immoral if you didn't. having some-- but not too much-- casual sex as a young adult is considered a rite of passage now, it's something that identifies you as normal.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 03:58 PM
2

in poor/working class communities women often have to take what they can get to support themselves, especially if they have kids as many do. add drugs and alcohol to the picture and it looks even bleaker. it's prime stalking ground for abusers.

moral labels like "good" and "bad" are defined by society. society has to determine that a certain trait or behavior is bad for shaming to be effective.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 03:11 PM

again, not in my experience. they were weak men through and through. they controlled their victims through mental and emotional manipulation, and a man doesn't have to be especially strong to be able to beat up an average woman.

we don't have to ask ourselves why men have such low standards, it's because they want casual sex much more than women do and will take what they can get. supply/demand imbalance

well I think it's safe to say men as an aggregate would prefer the made up face... if that weren't the case we'd see more barefaced women in porn and in media, no one would buy makeup if it wasn't effective. all the special snowflake virtue signalling in the world ain't gonna change that.

Dick pics are absurd and the perfect example of men projecting their sexuality on women. women don't want to see it. gay men might, though. you don't like the idea of heavy makeup, but it works. it tricks men and uses their nature against them. more men will react positively to a photo of a woman in makeup than a barefaced one. who's gonna prefer the picture on the left of they came across it on tinder? I mean really! maybe your wife just enjoys wearing makeup and creating different looks?

exactly, and women know men have low standards. we know they will make fools of themselves for a chance at sex. so we dangle the possibility to keep them interested while we suss out how high quality a guy is. our culture is saturated with pictures of hot women, it's very obvious that men value looks over most aspects of a woman's personality, or at least that good looks and implying the possibility of sex will lure him in. this is a mainstream cultural narrative.

we understand why men send dick pics, just not how they can be so obtuse as to assume women want to see them or that women will respond in kind. men want women to be as interested in their dicks as they are, but to us it's a turnoff. a dick pic puts it all out on the table and signals to a woman when to cut the conversation off if she's not interested in sex. I don't know of any man who would swipe left on a cute girl just because she's making a duckface and they know it. if men ignored women wi…

women know what men want, they just want to attract the kinds of guys who want relationships and have more than a passing interest in their personalities and not the kind who send dick pics and beg for nudes. if 50 guys pass on her profile because she has pics up of her on vacation instead of bikini pics it's no loss for her because she's not looking for casual sex. women who do post bikini pics are inundated by creeps. it's no secret that most guys would love to see some nudes, and it's also no…

sure I've seen people do it, and those people include a hell of a lot of men. it's not a gendered phenomenon as much as you think. I also don't claim to know what anyone else's thought process is and acknowledge that men and women often have different styles of communication.

nah, if we weren't well aware of how mens sexuality works we wouldn't be able to manipulate you like we do.

I'm aware of what it is, but how do you know how women's thought processes work? seems to me you're reacting very little to a simple difference in communication style. you feel this is how women think.

how do you know women interpret things by how they feel or in any way radically different than men? seems to me you're just interpreting how you feel right now.

not really... people are shit at long-term planning and handling stress and we live a long fucking time. most people can't even save for retirement let alone keep a relationship going that long.

a redpiller told me the other day that women hate sex and the vast majority are incapable of orgasm. told me all I needed to know 😂😂😂

if it was a zero sum game you'd see a lot more than 50% ending in divorce, and it would be the same across wealth and education levels. and anyway, the fact that something ends doesn't mean it wasn't mutually beneficial... I look back fondly on jobs I've left. people who aren't wired for lifetime monogamy can and do still benefit from various relationships throughout their lives.

since when did getting laid become a zero sum game?
