According to TRP society as a whole is BPed and most men have been damaged by Disney movies.

But society as a whole thinks that men in general aren't BPed.

Even here on Reddit "nice guys" aren't seen as typical guys. Even though Reddit attracts a rather nerdy audience a spineless doormat is seen as atypical.

And the media tells men that it's okay to show emotions, because it's assumed that the typical man holds back on any emotion that isn't anger due to shaming for any step outside of their gender role as stoic rocks.

Guys like this are seen as typical teenagers, but not guys like those.

There might be some selection bias here because introverted nerds simply have fewer friends and rarely leave their basement while extroverted guys that easily make friends will leave more of an impression, but still I guess the difference between TRP and TBP is having experienced "toxic masculinity"

I'd say this is more typical than being a feminized pedestalizing doormat. Society and mainstream media sees guys that are like the typical guy according to TRP as outliers.

I'd say there are more men that want to be as cool as Han Solo than there are men that want to treat a princess with gifts.
