Those that have a lot of friends (that actually like them) do so because they have excellent social skills which translates to finding a partner. The life of the party will have more opportunities than the wall flower constantly complaining that nobody talks to them.

Using it demonstrates the opposite of its meaning since 1) it's an awkward term 2) people don't know what it means. "Calibration" is often used in the pickup community.

Half Americans are not married simply googling disproves this. 329 millions people in America https://www.google.com/search?q=american+population&oq=&aqs=chrome.2.69i59i450l15.-1j0j7&client=ms-android-xiaomi-rvo3&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8 You should not include children, tweens, etc in marriage stats which is what your total American population number shows. Looks don't matter nearly as much as OP thinks. The stats don't bear out OP's claim. Nearly half of americans are married. Most married couples are average looking (several tens of millions of people). And a ton of ugly guys are married. if you're a 5, stay in your lane and hit on 5s or lower and you're more likely to find someone If you're a 5 that wants 8+, work smarter and harder and see a lot of rejection, with the occasional success If you're a 5 that thinks you're an 8 and wants 8+, you're…

how many toxic and unhappy people are here. Toxic, unhappy people are everywhere. In real life, people fake they're happy, even when they're not. It took me forever to realize this. The online personas are more real than the superficial personas I see in real life.

You can't regret, what you don't desire. I also don't buy that parents are any happier than couples that choose to not have children. The studies I've seen indicate having children reduces happiness. Having or not having children is an incredibly personal decision and not my place to say what others should do.

if you are in a specific top percentile of attractiveness/photo selection, you are literally flooded with matches, below a certain threshold (that seems really high, i.e. 70/80% of the profiles) you literally beg for one or two matches every week with women who put zero effort in their profiles and look absolutely below average. re An attractive man is in high demand. A lot of attractive men will fuck anyone. The result is the average woman can fuck chad, then she has little incentive to fuck th…

If the man or woman selects one hundred partners to date and all one hundred partners are not relationship material, the problem isn't the partners. 1) The person simply doesn't know how to pick the person with the right attributes or 2) The person is not compatible with anyone. ie they are not ready for a relationship. This isn't necessarily a knock on the person - relationships are difficult and take a level of maturity that may not have been developed yet. Finally, the people complaining are …

What do you want to do about it? Men are frustrated they can't fuck (amateur or pro) porn stars regularly. The analogue is women consuming Harlequin romance novels/Disney princess movies/Romcoms and being disappointed when men are dipshits, instead of the strong, charming, confident man that falls in love with her and only her. Both are fantasies and set unrealistic expectations. There's nothing to be done, except be more realistic which is difficult for many.

Traditional marriage will be less common. It will decline with the decline in organized religion. Common law marriage and other forms of legal unions to establish rights will become more common. Marriage is a traditional institution promoted primarily by religious organizations. Millennials and the younger generation are less interested in both religion and marriage as they develop their own ideas of what it means to be in a long term relationship. We should see a decline in children, which, I t…

Very large majority of people present themselves in the bet possible light. Often they will never say anything negative about themselves, even though they are entirely shitty people. Actions do not reflect what they preach/say. "Actions speak louder than words" has been around forever because it's true. I don't care what people say, instead I watch what they do (eg "I want to lose weight", then their next meal is an entire tub of ice cream). It's easy to say you're going to do something, that ta…

i recognize that this is probably an unpopular and very conservative opinion; Nothing wrong with this. I had similar disgust with gay/bisexual/transexual folks when I was younger. Reflecting on this, it's likely rooted in cultural messaging than anything biological. I found this messaging difficult to overcome because it's pervasive and there's enormous social pressure to conform. I've gotten more comfortable with gay, transgender, bisexual people as I became more comfortable with my own sexuali…

Good habits like eating healthy, exercising, sleeping enough, managing stress and your emotions, managing finances all compound over the years. If you take care of yourself, then you have a big advantage over people in your age group. This becomes more true the older you get. If you have your act together, you will do fine.

Thing is, they don't directly need us anymore so they don't bother "putting up with" an ugly partner for money/resources/protection/whatever because they can get it through other means. This. Women don't need men anymore because they can afford to be single Women have higher standards since they are better off economically Men and women are both more open to a relationship without being married Even just a few decades ago women as a population didn't have the agency they have today.

her intelligence and life goals are not nearly as important as her physical beauty. Attractiveness fades. If you're in a LTR purely based on looks, and you're not emotionally and mentally compatible it won't go well. These married ultra high net worth people can get laid anytime they want (google Bill Gates and his philandering).

Sex is higher pressure for men (self.PurplePillDebate) I'd much rather be a guy than a girl having sex. Less consequences, less responsibility (if you get pregnant). Sex for a guy is much lower stakes.

Nagging occurs when one person wants something done, and the other does not want to do it. Repeating something incessantly (ie nagging) is not the solution and can make the situation worse. This is a poor, lazy way to solve the problem. If the two people are reasonable (often one or both are not!), there can be a middle ground or an agreement reached where nagging is no longer necessary. If you’re doing what you’re suppose to, would nagging really be a problem? People have different standards fo…

Women don't care, and they should not care. Men don't care what a woman does (apparently a huge amount of grooming) to make herself more attractive. Street goes both ways. Neither wants to know the tedium involved to make themselves attractive.

Men should have enough sex to figure out what they want. Most guys that have a ton of sex eventually settle down, but some never do. In my case, part of it was wanting to find out if others found me attractive. In particular if someone I was attracted to, could find me attractive. It's an ego thing.

I believe women need to find you sexually attractive to actively pursue (trying lifting more, better clothes/shoes, hairstyle, strong eye contact, be the life of the party, etc). Money doesn't change the "initial attraction" much. A luxury car doesn't make you more physically attractive. It does enhance your "provider" role but this may not be enough for women to pursue.

But I have consistently seen high maintenance women have a far easier time getting a handsome boyfriend who treats her nicely. You sure they just aren't more attractive (not from your perspective but from a man's perspective)? Hot women (8+) can and do get away with more than more average looking women (under 8).

Judging people as higher or lower value does not appeal to me at all. It's too close to classism and puts people on a pedestal. I've never thought of myself as higher value or lower value than someone else. It's more about finding compatibility. i saw a lot of posts and comments about how women are so completely vapid and uninteresting The least interesting people I know call everyone else and everything boring. My theory is that they have a short attention span, need constant stimulation and have difficulty stringing together a coherent train of thought. Sort of like a toddler but without any curiosity. A lot of times they just want to talk about themselves(a mild form of narcissism).

Most men should rate their own attractiveness as binary instead of 1-10 It's not even binary for a single person. A woman may not want to get with you on first glance. But even then, you can turn a no into a yes if you have other qualities; effectively raising your attractiveness. Second, there are a large number of women and your attractiveness will be different for each of them. You will be a 2/10 for some, an 8/10 for others and everything in between. Attractiveness is far from binary in my o…

As a guy, is it seems women have a harder time. women were granted the right to vote in 1919 (U.S), only one hundred years ago there is discrimination by both men and women against women in the work place this discrimination translates (arguably) to lower compensation. most women I know do not walk alone at night for fear of being attacked White men have historically (in America) held the majority of power demonstrated by the very large majority of male CEOs, billionaires, business and political…

Because of social networks, non-standard norms will become more acceptable. Things we do as a tradition (via religious, cultural or other traditions) will weaken. It will be more acceptable to stay single, raise children out of wedlock. People will still live together to form families but not see the need to formalize it with a marriage license. More inter-racial relationships, more acceptable for same sex relationships, more acceptable to be LGBT. In particular more acceptance of transgender pe…

Ask anyone who’s wealthy in pussy how much it’s worth to them. “Nothing” is the answer to that question. This is a great point. We all pursue dreams (more women, money, fame, etc) and once we reach them it's never fulfilling. Too much of anything just devalues it. Dan Bilzerian talks in this video about how it's hard for him to enjoy fast cars, the best food, the hottest women since he has so much. These are life's pleasures but do not equate to real happiness.

How should men watch out or defend themselves against this type of behavior? Don't go out for food on a first date. If you do go out for food and she's a moocher, just pay your half. It'll be clear if she's there for a free meal. In other words, don't be a doormat.

This is exactly why Tinder and most dating apps are garbage. They have intentionally set it up so that guys have to spend a ton of time on the app swiping, and girls have to spend a ton of time on the app trying to go through all their likes/matches. Sounds like a business opportunity. The new app should more efficiently match people.

Truth is, real value is not being bothered by these moments and instead letting things unfold as they will. I know a lot of flaky people (male and female) and if "I moved on", they would not be in my life. Shit happens, people are late (some chronically), schedules change, people are busy and can't reply to texts, etc. It's more trying to figure out if they are playing games which I have zero tolerance for.

This seems like a good middle ground. Stop girlfriend activities. These activities are probably the reason you have feelings. You're still fucking It's not a complete cut-the-cord situation so you get some benefit (ie sex) Another option is to date but be in an open relationship; this works in some situations as long as expectations are clear. It requires strong communication and a higher degree of maturity.

Looks matter to everyone (except the blind and maybe some weirdos). It's a question of how much do they matter? On a scale of 0 to 10, 0 are the blind that don't care, and 10 is 100% dating based on looks. This will vary depending on the person. I'm guessing the distribution is a bell curve with most people around the middle; I'd expect most people to fall between 4/10 to 7/10.

The question boils down to: Is your life better with or without an significant other? From a strictly analytic point of view, everything has a cost. Being single has a cost, as does frequently switching partners, and so does staying with the same person long term. For many, being single isn't ideal and neither is swinging from vine to vine. Settling down is the best option. Arsenio Hall said a long time ago that after banging a ton of women all the time, it starts to feel the same. While the sex…

I’ve noticed continuously a trend where women say “no more fuck boys” On dating sites, most men are looking to get laid (ie they'd love to be "fuck boys"), not necessarily build a relationship. If she's attractive, she'll get hundreds of messages. "no more fuck boys" is her way of preemptively disqualifying the players to reduce the noise in her mailbox. Men lie, so do women. I'm betting it's in roughly equal proportion since I don't see a huge reason that one gender would lie significantly more than another. Assuming men/women lie is not a great approach to life, in my opinion. You're going to get rejected by good men and good woman that don't want to be over scrutinized and made to feel untrustworthy. The guy gets companionship, the woman gets alcohol. Fair trade. The woman has decided the free alcohol is worth the time spent with him. She's providing this guy a service in exchange for alcohol. It depends on her mood (sometimes she'll just want to fuck and the direct approach works), but I agree the sly approach is better. Don't tell her you're going to fuck her, don't break the sexual tension and keep testing her (non-verbally and verbally) to see where she's at. Keep escalating.

But why should we want the hottest girl in the room? What guys want: Sex with a harem of perfect 10s (think Leonardo DiCaprio and his entourage of Victoria's Secret models). If we could live this lifesystyle, most of us would. Why would we not be satisfied with a top 20% female? Guys want both quality and quantity but almost everyone settles on one or both of these dimensions. Eventually all guys settle realizing the time and effort isn't worth the reward or simply isn't achievable.

Attractive women are hit on multiple times every day. They have zero need to ask men out. And if they do initiate, they can afford to be selective. It's a supply and demand game and attractive women are in higher demand/lower supply.

"I'm from South Asia." Most people are clueless about geography. Edit: This might be better: "I'm from South Asia. Where are you from?" Once you answer, you can quickly ask her where she's from to remove focus from yourself. In some cases (but not all cases) this redirection will avoid probing questions about Pakistan. If it was myself, I'd own it and use Pakistan as a filter to avoid people that hold strong stereotypes (they are generally not people I want to be associated with). It's not a bad…

Pros Marriage is a legally binding contract which gives partners' rights (e.g. allows making certain legal decisions about your partner's property, finance and health in emergencies) For some, it gives the perception of stability. This is perceived stability is important when children are involved. Cons While getting married does signal a desire for commitment; it does not guarantee commitment, stability or happiness (evidence is that roughly half of marriages end in divorce). People can and do …

so for those who still manage to have some sort of emotional attachment to your women how are you able to do so? What does she do for you that makes you wanna stay and invest your emotions / time into her? It takes a lot of patience and effort to develop a mature, stable relationship. Once a couple goes through good times and bad, and comes out the other end mostly happy, it's hard to throw those experiences and effort away. Living life alone without a witness seems sad.

Can all men be alphas? Don't think so. There will always be a relative ranking system. If the range of guys was 0/10 to 10/10 and everyone worked on themselves and that range shrunk from 5/10 to 10/10. Women would still find a way to relatively rank the men so that 5/10 is the new 0/10. In other words, the best women would still prefer the best men, but the gap between best and worst would decrease.

Your friends are insecure. When two people get together and both enjoy themselves that's a great outcome. No shame. On a slightly different note, a wise person once said about one night stands: "When you have a sure thing but are thinking of pursing someone better, always take the sure thing." Because right after you finish, you won't care if she's a 1 or a 10.

Out of the dozens of guys hitting on her every week, what is special about you? How do you stand out? Telling her she's pretty is dull. Every knuckle dragging mouth breather does that.

Google is being accused of extreme gender discrimination by the U.S. Labor department. Not firing the employee could provide support for this discrimination case and may be expensive (e.g. half their highly paid work force suing and/or getting a raise). Termination is the safer bet. The downsides (massive lawsuit, alienating employees) far outweigh any benefits of letting him stay. They're just covering their ass and spinning it as a gender equality decision. TL;DR U.S Labor Department: Google i…

Nobody, not even Warren Buffett, consistently makes 10% a month (he averaged around 20%/year which is 2% a month and he's worth over $70 billion).
