good questions yes you can do direct sperm aspiration but it is costly, painful and gives you one chance of insemination. when sperm is banked, generally a lot of it, usually 10 vials which allows for better chances. After a vasectomy the testicles still make sperm but it is not released. This is similar to men who don't ejaculate. Contrary to popular belief the testicleS do not swell. The body has a way of producing fluid and absorbing it back when not used.

this is very individual...some doctors do if I see a 25 year old that seems like they thought it over, the only thing I would ask is that they bank sperm in the event they change their mind in the future.

This is not so clear I am urologist and specialize in testosterone replacement for men with low testosterone..in this instance testosterone replacement does not lead to aggression . I do as well; foreign doctors rock! Especially if they speak english well. I do think it is unfortunate that women take almost half if not more than half of the domestic training spots and then don't practice full time........

My position is rather balanced. To criticize my position because I am Jewish or circumcised as an infant doesn't hold much water as this was clearly not within my control. On reddit I have heard men describe greater sensitivity of the head of the penis and I have seen it in my patients. On the other hand as a urologist I see see rare problems with foreskin. Women who have the clitoris removed can not function normally sexually. I have seen these unfortunate women and it is a really shame. Every year thousands of males have newborn circumcision and the great majority function sexually just fine, myself included. I understand the argument that the foreskin provides added sensitivity and that may be true. I am supportive of your efforts, just think the message should be more balanced. I can't agree more. I used to train urologists and am a practicing urologist. More and more women match to highly specialty training spots and after all the training choose to either work partime of in some cases not at all. This will ultimately lead to a big lack of domestic physicians in this country and the need to import doctors from other countries.

All I am saying is that when people make imbalanced arguments they loose credibility. Removing the clitoris is not like a circumcision. I am more a friend than a foe and as a urologist I often post and clarify that there is NO medical indication for an infant circumcision. hormones and fertility are 2 different things....The testicles 'job' is to produce hormones as well as sperm. When testosterone is given the body tells the testicles there are plenty of testosterone 'on board' so production can slow down and sperm production slows down as well. Many men today have low energy, low libido, partial erections and benefit from testosterone replacement. Body builders take huge doses and can lead to testicular atrophy (or raison nuts).

I am not sure what trolling means. I am a urologist thats treats alot of men with low testosterone with testosterone replacement (www.uroantiaging.com) testosterone replacement causes a significant decrease the the quantity and quality of sperm and is pretty close to being a male contraceptive. It shouldnt be used as such and we only give testosterone to men who have symptoms.

The only safe contraceptive like treatment is testosterone; given to guys with low testosterone actually turns off sperm production and is usually reversable. It is not %100; a vasectomy is and for guys who may want kids in the future and have ultimate control there is sperm banking. Dr Bellman - urology

2 ways to do it office versus surgery center obviously surgery center you go to sleep and don't feel anything in the office you feel a spray that numbs the area and occasionally you feel some tugging and pulling really not to bad (had one myself) many of us use the no needle no scalpel technique that involves small instruments that hurt less

Circumcision is an invasive procedure and should be reserved for men who have problems, like inability to retract the foreskin (phimosis), or when the foreskin can not be pulled down (paraphimosis). Should only be done when medically necessary in adulats.

I only do circumcision when it is medically necessary....it should be mentioned in this discussion that many adults have problems with their foreskin, inability to retract it, infections and bleeding and do benefit from a medically indicated circumcision. This occurs more often in diabetics. This is obviously no rationale to circumcise every child.
