If I was with a guy who didn't turn his phone on silent after the first annoying text message sound, I'd think he was a dick.

I read about this here and agree with it. If I meet a guy for a first date at a bar (I would never agree to a dinner first date), we are entering the bar as two separate people. So then we have one drink and decide to check out another bar. This means we are leaving one bar together and entering another one together. Also, just walking around can be a more relaxing/comfortable than sitting at a table across from each other like a job interview.

i'm assuming that one or both girls were flirting with the guy at some point during the night as well.

I don't like most of this (subjectively). When casually hooking up with a guy, we certainly aren't in contact every day. If a guy did text me "out of boredom" or "how is your day going" every single day, i'd think he wanted more of an exclusive relationship. Daily contact screams "relationship" to me. Casual dating/hook-ups are just that, casual, laid back. i would probably not see the guy again if he brought up the "exclusive conversation" before sex! Of course, I'm thinking casual hook-ups her…

That was my stage 1! I loved dating, ie: meeting EVERYONE! Even if the date (as a date) wasn't working out, at least i'd have met an interesting person and learn something new. Afterall, everyone has a story. But after a period of time, this began to feel cumbersome. I'd rather spend the evening with friends than with someone i may or may not like. I still go on dates, i'm just a bit pickier now and go on far fewer ones.

This is me right now. I can say that i hate everyone, but really i'm just not all that interested in dating/etc at the moment. So i may come off as a bitch when a guy tries to pick me up at a bar, but it's definitely not personal.

This is hilarious. Guys do this to me ALL THE TIME right down to the "how many people did you have to fend off/punch/beat up/etc?" Asking me to watch your stuff is a good in but i hate that follow-up question. Everyone says it and it's so darn corny. I wouldn't be put off by just straight-up asking what i'm reading/writing/working on.

Just because someone has had 50+ partners doesn't make them completely irresponsible.

For a different perspective, I don't do this. I laugh at everyone's jokes, if they are funny. The main difference for me, is that if I am sexually interested in a guy I will bring up sex in one way or another. If i'm not interested, I avoid the topic at all costs.
/r/seduction03/03/12 08:17 AM

In general, I don't think it's necessary to ever discuss number of sexual partners. This person is with you now, not the other 10 or 100 people so what does it really matter?

am i allowed to ask where you live? while all that is pretty easy to accomplish in a major city, it's seems much harder in a smaller place.

I always know which is why I consider "coming out" not necessary. Just make a move. Either she'll reject it or she won't. I have rejected guys but remained friends with them; after telling them that I think they're cool but I'm not interested in them that way. Some guys get bitter about it, some don't.

For me, it's usually situational. I'll be at a bar, drinking, having a great time talking to a guy so I give him his number because at the time, I find him interesting. But then I go home, sober up a bit and sit on the fence for a while... debating just how attractive he was, what about him annoyed me, if he's interesting enough to spend my time/energy on, just how much stuff we have in common. I guess I'm picky but usually I just chalk it up to 1 great conversation at a bar but not interesting …

for me, not caring just means not texting me twice in a row (when i haven't responded the first time). you don't need to go out of your way to prove that you're popular to me -- that does not come off natural at all. and to demonstrate worth, simply BE INTERESTING! if you already are, then this shouldn't be too difficult!

I'm curious what other girl's opinions are on this because honestly, i wouldn't respond back but i would be relieved! I flake a lot (sorry guys!) and I just always assume that if i have completely ignored a "lets hang out friday" text, that the guy would go ahead and make other plans. Getting a text confirming this would make feel less "bad" about ignoring - but it surely wouldn't make me more interested in the guy. granted, none of the guys i've ignored have tried this line, so who knows.

I have been flaked on and was relieved that I wasn't the one who had to cancel. If I am going to flake on you, i'm only partly interested anyway.

"I'm majoring in Telecommunications but i really love to play the piano. I've been playing it for X years, now. Do you play anything?" Something like that so you can show your value, change the topic, and bring the conversation back to her.

I would downplay your major and quickly talk about something you are interested in.
/r/seduction20/05/11 01:17 PM

if i flake on a guy, it's because i don't really care whether i hang out with him or not. so if he flakes out on me first, it's more of a relief than anything.

The link isn't loading for me but I will use Nettik's comment as context and make an assumption about the article. Initiating a conversation with a compliment is bad news! I immediately put up a shield and lose interest. It tells me nothing about you, does not engage conversation and comes off as really creepy. I'm already assuming that if you are intiating a conversation, you find me attractive.

I would hope that once in a more meaningful relationship, the woman would feel comfortable enough to express what she likes and doesn't like.

I haven't had a guy ask if he could do anything since highschool. Everyone I date just "cavemans" it; I never thought anything strange or too assertive about that. if I don't want to kiss you when you try, I won't kiss you. And of all the guys who have just went for it, I've only rejected one. As for sex, if I want you to stop doing something, trust me, you'll know. Otherwise just go for it.
/r/seduction04/04/11 07:22 PM

For the same reason guys say they want women to be more assertive but then are turned-off when she starts acting that way.

What happens in my mind when I lose interest? Usually I begin to notice that the guy is too interested/clingy and if I don't feel the same way, I don't want someone to get too attached then have to hurt him down the road. Or I just decide that I don't like the guy enough to put effort into it. Not really anyone's fault, just not enough of a connection (usually sexually). Inner game. Honestly, it seems I can sense when a guy doesn't have it more so than when he does.

True, I am much less emotionally driven than an "average" girl. When speaking of casual dating, I see nothing wrong with the reference of HB's or HG's.
/r/seduction05/03/11 07:55 AM

I agree. However, if the girl really is interested in hanging out with him, I wonder why she didn't say, "I already have plans. How about we do all that one day next week instead?"

I have received a message sort of similar to that and never responded. I like it as a question to ask on the first date, but I don't want to spend too much time on messages (would rather just meet the guy) so honestly, I won't respond to something that takes too much thought. That sounds terrible, but, hey, i'm busy!
/r/seduction04/03/11 03:52 PM

but the moment a women senses that you do not value yourself, it's over. Absolutely. In the context of casual dating, knowing a guy has oneitis for me is a huge turn-off.

This is the second time you have mentioned seddit as unfriendly to girls. I disagree. I actually wish every guy would read and accurately use pick up materials because it would have saved me a whole ton of failed relationships/friendships with awkward, low-confidence guys who I always ended up hurting because they wouldn't man up. I hate most of the advice given on r_a and d_a and haven't read either of them in a while. And back when I did, even before I found seddit, I would try to give more re…

As a girl, I totally have to agree and I don't even mean to do it on purpose! I have noticed that with guys I am not interested in but will have a good conversation with, he will go for a move or ask me out and I'm always surprised because I feel like I am giving off "not interested" signals. Although friends will say, "you looked so deep in conversation" but I don't mean that to be an IOI. As far as the opposite, I suppose it's because I'm less interested in what you're saying and more so actua…

I get so many "hey"'s, I just read them last and don't expect much.
/r/seduction25/02/11 07:21 PM

My female opinion, the subject does matter. If all you can muster up is "hey", "your cute" or, even worse, nothing, I don't bother responding. If a guy isn't clever enough to think of a subject line, then I doubt I will enjoy conversing with him.

This is very difficult for me to balance as a girl. Around a lot of seddit I hear that an assertive girl is attractive because she is telling you what she wants. But I find it difficult to pull off and it ends up being a turn-off; as the guy feels the girl is coming on too strong or is "catching feelings" too quickly. I just assume if a guy isn't talking to me then he's not interested. Initiating anything makes me feel desperate.
/r/seduction18/02/11 04:07 PM

I only mention it because I give out my google voice number to most guys and the text message alert only displays the phone number, not the person's name. Most times I really have no idea which guy it is until I view the actual message. There isn't much context to go on when the message is just, "Are you free on Friday?"

The majority of PUA technique works on me. The one suggestion I have read on here that I do not respond favorably to (personal preference) is talking to your target set after talking to everyone else in the bar. I do not see it as complimentary and will immediately not be interested. This is the same if a guy opens my friends and talks to me (assuming I'm the target, humor me here) last. Instead of being intrigued and wanting to talk to him, I just find myself bored and will not be interested by…

most of my hook ups are with girls that are aggressive enough to make the first move on me She subtly joked about how it was still early enough for her to go home and catch a movie Maybe not aggressive, but she definitely was being assertive.

I have done this before as a girl. Keeping up a friendly conversation until the guy asks me out then go cold because I'm not interested. Sorry!

From a functionality stand-point, isn't it difficult to keep track of who is texting you if they are not in your contacts because then you need to go back to the notepad and match up each number?

I am guessing that she had already made the decision to stay over by that point. As someone who needs to keep a close eye on the train schedule when out on a date, I always know what time I need to leave to make that last train.

There was an FR on here a few weeks ago that described a guy and the wingwoman dancing at a club, then she would start dancing with an HB near them. Then the three of them would be dancing together and, after a few minutes, the wingwoman would step out and leave the guy and HB dancing on their own.

Could you have just made your room off limits during the tour? Usually when seeing friend's new apartments they don't show their bedroom unless there is something in there to highlight. It is a private place that should be saved "for later" imo, and at that point the decor should be the last thing on the girl's mind.

As a girl, the girl's attractiveness is more important to me. She is the appeal of the threesome. If it's a hot guy and a so-so girl, why would I bother when I could just have the guy alone?
/r/seduction06/02/11 05:02 PM

One boundary that should be discussed before hand is whether the threesomes have any potential to be more of a polyamourous relationship or not. Some women who enjoy threesomes may not want their SO doing anything with another girl that does not include them. Some women may not mind their SO dating another girl at all. There is a very fine line there, though, that should be discussed by the couple.

Another good way for her to mention you is to say, "Let's meet at 5p this friday; boyfriend will meet us around 5:30 when he gets off from work." This way it gives the 3rd a chance to get to know the girl first. If she feels uncomfy she can always bail before the guy gets there.

This reminds me of an interaction I witnessed at a bar recently. There were about 6 girls (HB6-HB8's) at a table (wrap around booth) when 3 guys (alpha, alpha-in-training, and beta) came over to open. The guys sat down on the outer edge of the booth then after a few minutes, the alpha moved into the middle and sat between two girls, striking up a conversation. The alpha-in-training tried to talk with the girl he was now sitting next to. This leaves the beta farthest away from a girl and sitting …

I would have been creeped out that you looked up my profile and definitely would leave immediately after reading the first message. Then, after getting home and reading the second message, I'd have known i made a smart move. Talking to her would have been so easy, too.

Rock climbing sounds like a good bet. You'll come off less creepy than at a yoga/pilates class and there is room for conversation. Offer to belay for her. You two can chat while she ties in and you'll get a nice view from below.

My friend is a bigger guy but has an amazing, confident personality. We were leaving a club at the shore and he walked over to an ice cream stand to order. He chatted with some HB's in line then when he got his ice cream cone, said something like, "oh man, I forgot to get sprinkles." One of the girls replied, "You can have some of mine." Then shared her ice cream with him. He ended up getting her number. //also, as a chick, i seriously love ice cream.

I'll give my female input. If I am reading your profile, I am interested. I know that you know I was reading your profile. I know that by now you have checked out mine. So I wait for you to make the move. You already know I'm interested but I do not know if you are. If you don't send me a message, then I will assume you checked out my profile and didn't like what you saw.
