What studies exist show between 8 and 41 percent. The Kanin study is worth looking up. The Lisak study had been repeatedly debunked. The 2% number, which is used by the FBI, is not supported by data. It's anecdotal and comes from "Against Our Will" by Susan Brownmiller from the 70s.

My opinion: Get the divorce and the settlement. That way you are sitting pretty from a point of strength. It's rare when we as men have it work that way. Know that. After that, you can decide to carry on with her as a life partner or not. Just don't remarry her. It's just a legal contract that can put you in a world of hurt.
