You're the one who hasn't given any counterpoints here, I'm the one who did. You latched onto one sentence and drew conclusions from it. Weird. I never ever was for censoring of any kind. I never shut down conversation. My comment above was pointing out many things wrong with the comment I was commenting on. Learn to read

There's so much wrong with your comments here, where do I even begin?.... For starters, maybe agree/disagree and explain why instead of getting all hung up and triggered by a word which was correctly used. Do not ever accuse me of being obsessed with racism. This language is threatening. And anyway, why shouldn't he accuse you of being obsessed with racism when all that's in your comment history is your obsession with racism that doesn't exist in this post? I simply answered the reason for the O…

Seems like this post has been brigaded by off topic lovers who are triggered by stuff... Great post!

Great post! If all we wanted out of life was sex, we'd be looking for the purest alpha and nothing else. But most people want other things too, so other qualities are necessary as well. Someone who's a greater beta as you describe it isn't "disgusting" to women, at least not to the many women I know. Such a man is the old fashioned family man that so many women want. I know that not everyone was happy back in the day, but many were happy and those who weren't happy, wasn't because of this.

The egg does not impart any flavor. You don't want a scrambled egg in there, you want to coat the grain so it toasts nicely. Both grains come out soft. Both have a beautiful nutty flavor in different ways. Buckwheat goes extremely well with red meat. It's a bit heavier in flavor than many grains. It's the type of grain that you'll either love or hate. I love it!

You're welcome. I'm sure everyone else here will agree that the biggest thanks you can give anyone here is to take the lessons and change your life for the better.

Keep your interactions strictly to what's necessary for work. Keep it cordial. There's no doubt to me that he's interested in you. The fact that he and you are in relationships won't curtail his desire for you. It obviously hasn't. You need firmer boundaries than what you'd put up between you and the average Joe. When he makes a sexual joke, politely ask that he refrain from doing so. When he touches you, ask that he not touch you. When he compliments your appearance, just say thank you and move…

We eat dinner as a family every evening. This is my time to shine by preparing tasty nourishing food. The key is to not get all fancy. Keep the fanciness for special occasions and keep regular meals simple and delicious. I try to have a trio of protein, carb and veggie. In the winter, I'll often add soup too. There's a local store that sells many different grains. I'll share a few. Whole grain buckwheat/kasha - you need two pots for this. 2 cups of the grain in one pot, heat, quickly whisk in an…

Actions speak louder than words and you are the master of your own destiny. If you don't like the way they're treating you, don't hang around in their circles. It's as simple as that. The rest of what you write is all excuses to still hang out with them. If you want to cut ties with them, the only one who can stop you is yourself.

If you spend some time on that sub, you'll see that many people who had plenty of pre marital sex still end up in DB's with sexual incompatibility.

This is a great discussion and I'd like to see what the others have to say. I think about this a lot now. Sometimes I wonder about waiting and then finding out you're not sexually compatible. (But how often are couples not sexually compatible? How can you even gauge that without having sex? And what other questions have I not even considered?) It's very logical to say that you need to try out the person sexually to ascertain sexual compatibility. How else would you determine this if you don't tr…

It sounds to me like your marriage was, more or less, arranged, albeit loosely. Maybe your community only sets you up with other members of your community, so you're already on the same page for a lot of things. That kind of thing doesn't really happen everywhere else though. Yes. They do set us up with other members of our community. Many values are already there before we start dating, which does make things easier. I wouldn't call it arranged marriage though. All they do is set us up for the …

My classmates (girls) in our group say they are all joking and they are just stupid. They are not joking. They are quite serious in trying to get into your pants. They are also very bad at playing their own game. These guys are a mixture of immature, creepy, desperate and lonely. I think you should cut ties with all four of them. You'll only have headaches and heartaches from these guys. Don't engage in their stupidity. Just tell them you aren't interested in them. You'll have an easier time fin…

I understand your point as well. It doesn't matter what community I'm from because what I advised has to do with human nature, not with culture or religion. Put an attractive young man and woman together and they'll act differently. Bring them intimately close for an extended period of time and sex is bound to happen. A different poster on this thread wrote how he and many of his friends dated girls who said they wouldn't have sex before marriage but then they did. This is so prevalent that many…

I don't wish to say exactly which community I belong to. My point was that if you wait for marriage, it's very impractical to be in a romantic relationship for 2-4 years with all kinds of physical affection but no sex. You'd have to either have an iron resolve or just not be that interested in sex (which is a bigger problem for me personally) It's nice to be idealistic, but you have to be practical too.

I don't know how to add a flair from my phone. I'm the same age as you and married for 10 years. I met my husband through a family member who set us up. Some research was done before we ever met which caused us to be ten steps ahead before we started because we knew many details about each other before we ever met. Details surrounding marriage, children etc. We dated for a few weeks in a manner that was to determine whether this person is a candidate for marriage or not. If they aren't, you part…

You're very welcome. I'm glad to have been a useful stranger. How can I tell? Just like there's facial expression and body language in real speech, so too, there's something similar in the written word where you can sometimes sense the underlying emotions and thoughts. I'm not sure I can point to a specific method on how I do it and I certainly am not always dead on the money either. It's just intuition. The main thing is to use the past as a spring board for the future. You have to go down on t…

Aside from a few minor details, you're describing my grandmother. My grandparents got married smack in middle of the 50's. They had extremely defined gender roles that never budged. Everyone today can hate on 50's marriages all they want, but I've never seen a marriage with so much love and respect as my grandparents.

The best time to tell him is as soon as possible. This way, if it isn't something he's willing to do, you can part ways before wasting a ton of time and energy on one another. Now for some opinion on waiting for marriage from someone who waited for marriage. I'm sharing what I think makes sense, take it or leave it. If you're going to wait for marriage, you ought to have a short dating and engagement period that doesn't include any touch at all. Let me explain why. Let's analyze male and female …

Is there a chance at redemption? As long as there's life, there's hope. Here's my observation - you were very self centered from the start o your first relationship until the end of your last one. It was always about you. The other person was just part of your needs and wasn't a person with needs of their own. To say you became insecure after the breakup is simply not true. I think you've been insecure and unsure from the start, you just didn't realize it when things weren't that bad. The underl…

I want to point out a double standard which I observed in your thinking. I feel that you need to correct your thinking to remove this double standard. This will greatly assist you in solving your problem. Please note, I'll be writing some harsh truths. Please don't take anything personally. I'm trying to help you. On one hand you describe yourself, the way you maintain yourself, the way you dress and the vibe you give off and we have a picture of a gal with a mediocre SMV at best. Someone who ma…

Bringing up worries to your husband, is a bad idea. Bringing up your concerns is a great idea. When you do so, you'd be giving him something to fix. Just sayin' There isn't much you can DO to make your boys manly, especially since - with all due respect, being their mother and all - you're a woman. In their eyes, you don't get it. Whatever "it" actually is. Free range parenting is the way to go. Free range animals are the happiest animals and free range children are the happiest children. You ne…

Reminds me of a joke I just heard last week. A young lady comes for some sage council from the wise man. She says - I'm smart, talented and beautiful and there are two guys who want to marry me. Tell me oh wise man, who should be the lucky one? The wise man replied - marry the first one. The second one will be the lucky guy..... In all seriousness. I fully understand where you're coming from culturally. Anyone who answers your dilemma MUST take your cultural background into account. Having said …

Great advice! I'll add - even once you "hit the wall", all hope is not lost. I remember reading John Grey's book - Mars and Venus in the bedroom - in it he made a fascinating point. He said that women often look up at the billboards and see other women who are unrealistically good looking (air brushed and what not) and think to themselves "how can I ever match that kind of beauty?" followed by "I'm not pretty enough" "I'm ugly" etc. etc. etc. This is a mistake. He doesn't need you to look as hot…

This is very good advice. I'd like to add - men being blunt not only doesn't indicate being a jerk, it indicates that you are someone worth voicing an opinion to. If he didn't care, he'd say nothing. In the world of men, there's no beating around the bush of feelings. It's the raw truth as is. So it will be blunt. They don't mean to be mean. Another point - smartness may not be key, but dumbness can also be a turn off for a LTR. A dumb-ass girl is good for the guy to "pump and dump". If you happ…

Single dads are probably busting their asses to provide for their children with little to no assistance and they probably seldom complain about it. Single moms probably get plenty of assistance from alimony/child support/government aid etc. and probably complain about it plenty. They're also less likely to have a real source of income to actually feed their children. But I agree to be wary of anyone who divorced, no matter the gender. A widower is a much safer bet.

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! The first article made some very valid points. But as you pointed out, when you've been married and divorced three times..... One point I think you could have elaborated on which seems to be missing - gender roles. Today's idea of "equality" says that men and women are exactly the same and that gender roles are outdated. Thinking of the marriage of my grandparents, one thing is extremely apparent - gender roles were very defined. My grandfather never lifted a fin…
