My advice is that you don't have to pursue girls as friends for social proof, but if you find a girl that you enjoy hanging out with and don't feel like hooking up with her, be open to the concept of female friendship. 2	Do you think having female friends is important? I'm a guy with a bunch of girl friends, more specifically my group of guy friends hangs out with this group of girls. They're really fun to hang out with, always plan things. They're also friends with a lot of girls which is a way to meet other girls. Also you get their perspectives on their relationships with guys so you learn what to do and what not to do from a different perspective than just your guy friends.
