they don’t mean any harm I've heard that one before. Along with statements that a pussy won't disappear if you share it, so why not do it? (aka, I won't lose anything on sharing it) Some people seem to treat it as a commodity, something to be shared for everyone's (men's) better mood. They want to have sex with anyone because it makes them feel good so they think women wouldn't mind that too. I really can't wrap my head around it

Seems like I often hear about the "man falling in love with a nurse" story, I even had one in my family. It's interesting and makes me wonder. First of all, a woman working as a nurse is seen as nurturing. There are many stories about nurses being magnets for LVM that leech off them. They are often naturally kind, supporting and allowing and men use it to their advantage. Secondly, isn't it trauma bonding in a way? A man is heavily wounded, in pain and he sees a woman taking care of him in the h…

My ex thought he's just too good for "some idiot telling him how to live his life". 10 years later he's on meds, listening to an "idiot" and feeling better than ever.

It reminded me of this situation. I was on a festival with my partner and we've met my old acquaintance, M. I consider him a HVM, one of not many that I've met in my life. So we keep chatting and he keeps telling my partner how nice I am, as in, "kind". They agreed but they guy keeps going with pointing out I'm so nice. It was so odd, but at that time I was flattered. We parted out ways and I kept wondering, why would he repeat himself and emphasize this trait of mine? Well soon enough thanks to…

Came here to say that this was my reality too and sadly I think it still is for many young women. By the time I was 18 I was wondering why would a guy need me if I don't give him sex? I don't know how it's possible to brainwash girls that early into thinking they are worthless without it and have nothing else to offer to the world than sleeping with a man and serving him. I did want love and intimacy but men I was dating in the past were not even capable of giving it (or probably even comprehend…

The cat thing sounds nice but pretty sure it's a myth. I've seen enough examples of that in my life to know it's not true (cats sitting on people with violent tendencies or on cold people who abused kids). Although how one treats animals is important. But on the other hand, all these people treated cats well. So can't tell really.

"Toxic men love women with deadbeat dads if she turns out promiscuous or seeks male validation over self-protection." This 100%, please say it louder. Bad dads make it easier for dusty men, who later (after they took advantage of these poor women) complain and blame everything on women anyway

There was actually a case in which in such situation a guy used a fake video of some woman. The real bi girl showed her body on camera (she thought she's camming with a woman), he recorded it and was blackmailing her after.

It's actually a R3d PiII tactic - they assume pretty girls get lots of attention. So in a group seettings, ignore the pretty girl to undermine her self worth and make her beg for your attention which you just starved her off

I was the only woman in IT team of 6 and I've listened to these kinda "jokes" everyday for 2 years. Couldn't report that stuff because the company was small and a CEO was the same and he loved his IT boys. "Oh it's just jokes". It added up pretty fast and left me disgusted with the amount of misogyny in jokes, constant rating women on a 1 to 10 scale, making fun of their wives, "past wall" women, and women who don't fit into conventional beauty standard, etc

I used to think that way also but frequent sex was just draining and I gave up on it because it left me unhappy. Not having sex is better than forcing myself to do it when I don't feel like it 90% of time (not saying everyone will be like that). If I find a man who would like it in the same frequency then great. If not then oh well. I think society is oversexualized and we get the impression that people have intercourses daily while it's just not true but puts pressure on everyone.
/r/askFDS30/06/21 08:44 PM
7

It's very subjective and I advise you to ask yourself how much is optimal for you. Also it fluctuates and usually is more frequent in the early stages. For me, not more often than once per week if he wants it often. If I don't have to compromise then once per two weeks is my optimal

This right here is wisdom spoken. I beg you ladies, don't rush to move in with your partner, especially when you're still studying or kickstarting your career. Men drain your energy that you'd otherwise invest in your development. Everyday interactions are time and energy consuming, and not as fun after a few months. Man gains WAY more by living with a woman than a woman gains from living with a man. Take care of yourself first! It's not necessary nor mandatory to move in with your partner

Oh this is how I fell into "How to be a better wife / partner" trap. Your values are non negotiable and you may wanna stop listening to your friends who don't care about your vulnerability. My ex coworkers would always rate women on 1-10 scale. Interestingly, max they would give was 9/10. I asked them one day to show me an example of 10/10 and they said such women don't exist! So it's an ideal that no woman can reach, therefore no matter we do and how we look, we will never be 10s because it's just a trap to make even the best women feel inadequate

I hope single ladies in their 20s will realize their power sooner than later. There's nothing better than being beautiful, smart, healthy and independent. We kicked him out but the most shocking part is that he had a girlfriend who would come to the house and they had sex in his dirty and smelly room. I wanna forget

I made it very clear to him that I was interested in being friends and nothing else. To which he told me that he already knows, that he wasn’t trying to date me or “fuck” me. Somehow when they say that it always later turns out that they actually want to do that, just not explicitly.

I totally agree with you, but this case is the opposite. She has a servant mindset and was neglected as a child. My dad is a provider and loves her, built her a house, never spoke bad word about my mom (but she often criticizes him). I'm not saying he's innocent but she took the mother-wife archetype and it was like that since I remember. He had it very comfortable but now he's unable to exist on his own on the same level. This codependency scares me tbh.

Sadly it's my mom who always did things around my dad and made him incapable, he never had to lift his finger because she would do everything around house, all the cleaning, cooking and then complain that noone helps her. She puts a plate in front of his nose. When my mom got sick and was in hospital, I came home after one week and it was such a mess. Playing games can be very beneficial for the brain and there are lots of research about it. I think it's unfair to overlook it. Ofc it depends on what games and what else the person is doing. I myself benefited a lot from games but ofc not everyone will and it's different than just playing life away like many do

When I was 13 I went to our local village doctor to check my back/spine and after checkup he told me to take off all my clothes from upper body, stand in front of him facing him and then he proceeded to touch my breasts like "weighting" them in a way, pretending he's doing some examination. My paternal grandmother had an alcoholic husband who often displayed aggressiveness, they had 3 sons. She never went to school, learned to read and write by herself, also sang and wrote simple poems. To the point: She was very feminine, always had her hair done and a lipstick and had a bunch of suitors throughout the years. I asked her why doesn't she want to marry again or pick one guy to have by her side and she said "They only want one thing". She chose to be lonely rather than to have a man.…

He was working low wage jobs and never really cared about career until he met me, now he signed up for more education to get better paying jobs in the future but still it means that he won't be making much anytime soon. Just not very resourceful so far

When I think of my school years, it hasn't been any different back in the days, there was just not that much internet. They did have early access to magazines with "naked ladies" from older brothers but they were behaving the same way around age of 10 really so I don't think he's that special case but I may be wrong
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/11/20 01:57 PM

Hmm right now I am dating a guy who covers almost all of that but he's dirt poor, not very resourceful. Some people say this would be a red flag, and some people say money comes and goes and it's the way he treats me that counts. I really don't know what to think as some of you girls here say you wouldn't date a broke guy. Just in case I'm taking it easy but will be greteful for any piece of advice on that from you Queens

Sadly I can relate to that. I come from country where religion is treated seriously (at least on surface) but the new age phase disempowered me too! I thought I have to give myself freely to anyone in need and my boundaries dissolved. I only regained them on psychotherapy. Love everyone equally, be forgiving, be selfless, people are your mirrors - that's a bunch of bullsh*t that will come back to you hard at some point.

I've actually heard that guys do really swipe on literally everyone to increase their chances. The logic behind it was that: they will swipe on all, get 100 matches out of all swipes, get to talk to 10 girls back out of all matches, go on 1 date out of conversations. So for them it makes sense to do that but from my perspective it's just repulsive.
