And the sad thing is, when you genuinely enjoy some of those things, they take that enjoyment and run with it. I've literally stopped telling my partners that I enjoy anal because of this, because goddamn, I do not need this much stress in my life.

I wouldn't call it cheap, but for a first date, it's not romantic either. I'd call it lowkey stalker vibes. A first date should: -Be in a place where people can see you. -Show thought and effort, but not demonstrate clingy tendencies. -Be in a place where people can sit comfortably without laying. This is too intimate for a first date and requires a level of trust that you absolutely should not give to a first date (don't ever let a first date anywhere near your drink). It also crosses the line …

And the number of times the torture isn't in retaliation or in self defense (like repeatedly beating someone, etc) is even lower.

Ummm. Fitzgerald basically abused his wife into an insane asylum and plagiarized her journals. Let's not take his opinions into account, like at all.

Yeah, but maybe not so much safer than working in online sex work.

Because they view us not bending over backwards for them as an insult.

I see your point, but that's not really fair. We can't constantly blame women for living by the rules they were taught their entire lives.

When they say "low maintenance," what they mean is "I won't have to put any effort into our relationship".

I have literally been here (kind of - my situation was way worse, don't look at my post history), and yeah, those literally are your only choices. Paris is kind of a genius for the way she molded this image into something that worked for her, tbh; I hid away, and even now, the ghosts of my past are still haunting me. At least my career enables me to use a penname. I can't even imagine what it would be like if I were a public personality.

I was in a relationship when I was in high school. Long story short, I definitely agree.

To the woman who is gonna marry my ex-fiance, the dude who screamed at me for having morning sickness while I was pregnant with his child: Trust me, his dick game ain't worth it.

Yeah, that part is true, but California SB 145 is an amendment, not an actual bill. In order to change the 10 year age gap, they have to write a new bill, which is costly and time consuming. And I don't agree with it either. I think it's bullshit, and that an age gap allowance of 2 to 3 years would have been much more beneficial than that bill. That doesn't mean, however, that I agree that California supports child rape, because I don't (for the most part).

1.) I don't agree with the leniency afforded in that bill. I think the limits should be restricted a lot more than they have been. 2.) That being said, the law states that a judge gets to decide if someone will end up on the registry or not for breaking this law. IN PRACTICE, this law has only been interpreted in favor of people who have age appropriate partners - meaning that a judge will typically put a person on the registry if they overshoot that mark. I do think this leaves too much room fo…

I dated a guy who I knew wasn't that hot. I pined over him because I wanted to get married to someone who appreciated the things I hate about myself. Problem is, he never liked the things I enjoyed about myself... Back to the drawing board I guess.

It's never good men who do this, though. It's always really gross men, guys who are drunk, guys who follow you home, etc. I don't understand the PickMes who are saying it's a compliment, because it isn't.

Yeah, I remember I didn't even get an engagement ring. :/ I got an ugly Tungsten wedding band that we didn't even use.

I'm not trying to be a pickme, but I actually like anal (tried it with a girl, turned out we both loved it). What should I do about it? Was it a pain thing, or what?

I'll admit I snooped on my ex fiance before. I'm not proud of it, but he started being cagey about his phone, and he had a history of cheating. He wasn't cheating (visibly, at least), but he WAS trashing me to his parents. Apparently I was a manipulative snake... Even though he was the one who cheated on me multiple times and occasionally got physical with me. A month later, I left him. Admittedly, I'd just leave next time, but when you're in love with a LVM, you're willing to put up with a whol…

Honestly... I don't understand why this is such a big deal. I'm a huge minimalist who likes to prioritize space rather than unnecessary furniture, so I got rid of my bedframes and replaced it with a Japanese futon mattress. If a guy did that for himself, my first thought would be "we have so much in common!". That being said, he does need to put effort into his space.

I mean real talk, doesn't that make it worse? Like, if he respected you enough to remember who you are that would be one thing, but... Lol, I don't even know. Does she think she's different?

Okay, but you have to acknowledge that women go for the men they feel are worthy of them. Why are the men they feel are worthy terrible and toxic?

Nah, I left the other guy because he cheated on me. The other guy's now making 150k a year - a fact that was completely by surprise as he was a studio art major and didn't have that kind of earning potential.

Speaking from my own experience: I dated a guy who worked for Google for a while (about 2 months or so - my brother set me up with him). We broke up because as much as I tried to like him for my brother's sake, I just couldn't keep up the act. The dude's still DMing me on the regular after four and a half years of polite disinterest on my end, and I'm still not interested, despite the fact that I'm super single right now. I then immediately went from that relationship to a relationship with a gu…

Where were you meeting these women, or trying to meet these women? What kind of women were you going for? Because I bet you weren't going for the ugly chicks. I think a lot of men overestimate their own attractiveness and then resent the fact that the super-hot 10/10 plastic-surgery Stacy beach babe doesn't want them - but that's not really fair. What do you even have in common with that chick as someone who doesn't focus on his own attractiveness?

So, TRP might work on insecure women, but that's because it exploits the emotional weaknesses that many women have. I tried TRP techniques a little bit (as a woman who was dating men) and got many of the same results. Play hard to get, you get guys to want you; act like a clingy pathetic mess, guys run away from you. But like, some of the other stuff (like "plating" girls and repeatedly advocating ignoring the girl you're dating for no reason at all) is emotionally abusive. It's rooted in resent…

The RP sphere advocates trying over and over again rather than putting all your eggs in an uninterested basket - which is basically the only sound advice they give. If you continually try, fail 90% of the time, and get laid 10% of the time, you're still doing better than that guy who's pining over that chick with the boyfriend, even if that guy is technically more attractive/a nicer person and would get laid 50% of the time if he just tried.

I mean... being abused can give people mental illnesses that look like personality disorders, like PTSD. It's not exactly a healthy stepping stone, but then again, neither is the "Men aren't shit" phase that a lot of women go through after they get cheated on.

In my case at least, not really. I don't like being in relationships where the guy treats me like something he can throw away. A lot of girls might like the challenge, but if you meet those girls often, maybe you should change the places you go.

I'm blue pill. I'd say that honestly, you've probably grown to the point that you should probably just stop looking at your past for potential romantic partners. It's not really a matter of "fuck you for rejecting me" - it's a matter of taste, of growth, of "I'm no longer the person who liked you back then so I have to go my own way, but it was nice to see you again". If you've done so much work to improve yourself, like, yes, it feels good to get that validation, but at the end of the day, you'…
