I'm 49,never been married and have no kids. I'm 4 years away from being able to afford retirement. I can honestly say that the decision to go monk, which I made a little over 5 years ago was one of the best decisions in my life. The peace of mind and tranquility that this decision resulted in are priceless in their own right. For the last 3 decades I was able to maintain a very healthy work/life balance. I don't need much and am able to save and invest most of my salary. So for me MGTOW has work…

Depending on the nature of your work. If possible, I would suggest investing in a good pair of head phones and listening to music while you work. It isolates you from the incessant talking and forces them to expose their hand if they want to talk to you.

For me, solitude is a source of strength and rejuvenation. I do feel loneliness from time to time, and that is the reason why I have friends. Being MGTOW (even a MGTOW monk like me) doesn't mean being a hermit. I have friends who share common hobbies, and their company is a lot of what keeps life fun. Do not cut yourselves off from the world.

First thing brother is to remember that you are not alone. Many of us had parts of our lives which were fairly hard and depressing. Personally the worst time of my life was college. I worked a full time job at the same time I studied. Had to suspend my education for a year to earn enough money to continue. I just refused to get into debt. But life gets better. In the meantime stay away from social media and try to budget some of your time to activities that regenerate your soul. Personally it's …

Accounting just like professional drivers is a profession about to become extinct. (same for low class lawyers and a lot of office work) I would suggest either one of the stem fields. Not all of them, there are stem specialties that are as dead end as any grievance studies. (so do your research as to the payment prospects of your proposed field) or go the trades route.

Not really. The current crop of BLM leftists are deeply antisemitic, Followers of Louis Farrakhan. Just check out the number of instances where BLM supporters beat up religious jews.

They still haven't decided if jews are white. A famous saying by ben shapirro is the left only began considering jews white when they became successful.

Good for her, she is honest as to what she sells. The fact that there are enough men who will send her money is the problem. She doesn't owe anybody anything. Just don't be the loser who sends her money.

I'm 48 years old. And I am enjoying my life far more than I enjoyed my 20s and 30s. I'm financially stable, with a house that's almost mortgage free (still have 2 years). I already reduced my work to 80%. Once the mortgage is paid I will reduce it to 50%. So I plenty of free time and enough money to pursue my hobbies. The next big goal is financial independence which in my best guestimate will take another 4 years after that (Covid delayed it by about 2 years)

I resigned my job a couple of month ago. The HR woman asked me where was my new work place and I answered that I didn't even start looking for a new job. I want to take a year long vacation, just indulging my hobbies. She was stunned and said she never even heard of anyone doing that. She was more than stunned when I responded, Well I'm not married and I don't have any children. I can afford to take time for myself.

I don't know if this actually happened,. But the net result is that these claims are true. The only people who benefited from feminism are the ultra rich. Starting from the 1970s with women entering the workforce the supply of labor doubled. And the net result was a major decrees in the cost of work. Check out the graphs salaries have been steadily declining since 1970. Basic supply and demand.

The whole point of MGTOW is that there are as many potential ways to interpret it as there are members. Also being a MGTOW is not a yes/no issue. It comes in degrees and is personally nuanced. Non of us get to tell someone you are not a MGTOW because of X. Live long and prosper GYOW, brothers.

I've always been red pilled to one degree or another. It started with me having a very low tolerance for bullshit, regardless of who was bullshitting me, it just rubbed me the wrong way. And I was never willing to give girls a pass because I was horny (And as a teenager I certainly was). I also started looking at people around me and married men have always seemed miserable. I have a custom on the first day after my birthday I take a day off and think about the previous year. What made me happy,…

17 and instead of gentle man you should right gentle son because im probably young enough to be your son since a lot of mgtow guys are men who got divorced or left a relationship n Your age doesn't matter, you are a man and as such I will treat you with respect (Unless you do something to lose that privilege). Fortunately for me, I've always been a little skeptical of the whole marriage and children thing. So I made it to my ripe old age without going through a divorce. But I have plenty of exam…

Personally, the only thing I want from women is for them to stay away from me.I don't want their obedience, don't care about their loyalty (or their lack of loyalty) and have absolutely no expectations for them to better themselves. I came to the conclusion the fewer women in my life, the happier and more fulfilled I become. Peace and quiet are the foundations of my life. Go your own way gentlemen

As ideals absolutely, MGTOW ideal is no LTR & cohabitation. But a man can awaken to the idea of MGTOW after he's married. This is the state of this man. He's trying to be as MGTOW as he can be. IMHO being married is not a reason to exclude him. It's a reason to try and figure out how he can help himself. But that's just my take on things. I absolutely believe you should be free to define MGTOW as you please.

Not so. MGTOW means not allowing your life to be run by others - and most emphatically not by women. Take the reins and be the driver. That's what MGTOW is about. But each to their own should MGTOW have to mean no woman on board under any conditions for any particular individual. You do not get to define MGTOW for other people.

48, Never been married & celibate for the past 4 years. (only learned there was a name to what I was a year and a half ago). The amazing thing is that for me, solitude and peace of mind are worth just about anything. I have no desire to be rich, so I don't work too hard. I earn enough to pay for my modest life style and hobbies. With a little extra saved up. Hopefully I'll be able to afford retirement in about 4-5 years. Life is good. Sorry, but I disagree. The first thing to understand is that respect is not a yes/no issue. Respect comes in degrees. The second relevant point is that at I've never met even one person who had nothing to teach me. Every single person on the face of this planet knows something that I do not know. And as such has the potential to be my teacher. I don't go around disrespecting my teachers. For me, every person starts with a certain basic level of respect. He can earn more respect by acting respect…

First thing is, if this is what makes you happy than by all means. Being responsible for yourself and Having good manners are the bedrock of being a man. And the thing most differentiating between man and woman.Being debt free is important because when you are in debt, you are selling your time for the benefit of somebody else. The question is why would you want to work hard, once you've cleared you debts (and achieved a basic simple existence). I couldn't disagree more. My whole life is is a series of strategies to allow me to enjoy myself and accomplish just enough to allow me to finance a basic living and pay for the things I enjoy, not even an inch more than that. I am not the kind of guy who enjoys owning useless or expensive stuff because of the way they make society view him (Society can go to hell for all I care). I agree 100 percent. Mr Peterson taught me a lot. But I also disagree with a lot of what he says. And it's not just the marriage thing. It's the whole find meaning through responsibility shtick. Now if working yourself to death is what floats your boat, than by whole means. Go a head. Personally I don't care for responsibility, I don't need a lot of money. My material needs are quite limited. I work 80% job. It gives me enough money to live a modest life and plenty of time to enjoy my hobbies. M…

This was not meant as an insult, quite the contrary. I respect Mr. Peterson. I strongly disagree with him but I have learned a lot from him. Mr. is the appropriate title is this case. Dr Peterson is a psychologist, and when he's speaking about psychology I would most definitely refer to him by his title (Dr). This conversation is not about psychology. And as long as he is speaking outside his area of his specialty he is not a "Dr." he is a well education man expressing his opinions. So in this c…

I don't give a damn about the success of the species. I live for myself, to further MY goals and ensure MY happiness and the species can go fuck itself. As far as I'm concerned society and the species lost it's male privileges. It lost the privilege of demanding I sacrifice my happiness, time or life to promote it's interests. Women should feel free to grab all my male patriarchic power and work themselves in cubicals and die to protect me. The species can go fuck itself. I owe it nothing. Go yo…

First thing, I totally agree with with you. MGTOW is not expressed or even defined in a single way. Each of us must define his own personal MGTOW. That being said, I share Sandsman's definition to a certain extent. My personal take on MGTOW is earning just enough to support myself and my hobbies, with a little extra tucked away for a rainy day. My "riches" is in free time to enjoy my hobbies. My personal experience and a fair amount of studies show that once a certain level of wealth is achieved…

Emotional connections are an important part of what makes us human, and one of the few things that I miss about the "Road more traveled" lifestyle. There is no one size fit all solution. My personal fix was getting a dog. The unconditional love is not quite the same but for me it's a very good approximation. And besides you are a man, and not living in some sitcom fairy tale. You should realize that ANY choice you make has it's price. The whole point is making choices that maximize your happines…

I don't have many debts, neither financial or moral. To me it's a point of pride that ALL my debts get paid one way or another. The two people I will never be able to repay are my parents. It's a bit sad, I've been a MGTOW for over 10 years and gone monk for the last 3. I'm not the most people oriented kind of a guy, but there are a few people that I do like, some of them are women. I enjoy spending time and sharing hobbies with like minded individuals regardless of their sex. What I will never do is engage is romance/sex. Or give nonreciprocal access to my resources. They already have a bachelor tax. They take from all men and spend only on women and children. Married men have some of their taxes returned as subsidies for their children, single men were just robbed of their income w.o. anything to show for it.

Obviously you define what is MGTOW for you. There are multiple red pill groups, from pickup community , incels, TFLer and finally MGTOW. What sets MGTOW apart from the rest of the red pill groups is that all of them want women in their lives in one capacity or another. The pickups want to fuck them, the incels have the same wants but lack the capabilities. TFLer long for not just sex but a relationship. MGTOW on the other hand just want to be left alone. Al Bundy just wants to be left alone. He …

There are plenty of men who got red pilled too late. They are trapped in a loveless marriage and know that leaving their leech of a wife would destroy them financially. Being MGTOW has nothing to do with whether you are married or single. MGTOW is a state of mind, an awareness of female nature and the desire to be free. Go you own way gentlemen

To all those asking about who this is. This is Al Bundy, the star of an 80s TV comedy called Married with Children . Its about a father married to lazy stay at home wife with two children each more screwed up in his own personal way. He works at a job he hates and is ridiculed and unappreciated. Yet he has a certain nobility in his own pathetic way.

I absolutely agree that MGTOW is not about being obnoxious and that Al Bundy is not a role model to be followed. The men was married after all. But he was the first one who opened my eyes to female nature. He was invaluable in planting the seeds that would eventually red pill me.

1) I've been a mgtow way before I knew there was a word for what I was. Probably over a decade now. I've gone monk almost 3 years ago. I only found out about mgtow in late 2017. 2) We are all products of societal indoctrination to some degree or another. Having a choice is a given but indoctrination leaves one blind to the full range of possibilities. It is exceedingly difficult to break social taboos that have been hammered into your consciousness before you could walk. 3) It is not the name "s…

You are right sir. That it doesn't matter. But imho the reason it shouldn't matter is not what other people do. It's because I, as a sovereign individual, do not care. I'm 47 years old and have been saving about a quarter of my net take each month for quite a while. I figure I have another 3 years to work before I can afford to retire. Gentleman, one of the primary benefits I gained from going monk is the freedom not squander money on frivolous consumerism.

Good for you. I'm in the same situation and I'm 47. If you think you are saving on clothe and phones, wait until you decide to buy a place to live. You can easily enjoy life in less than a third of the space you would have needed as a married man with children... My apartment was described by a friend as a big man cave. That's where the big savings come from.
