I've thought through this and I can say that this whole situation happened because of lust and poor boundaries. There was little to no emotional connection coming from me. I'm taking steps guard against this lust and improve boundaries.

You have confessed and repented but do you feel that this issue is resolved and you are reconciled (between yourself and God, yourself and the husband, wife and pastor involved)? Do you feel you have mentally processed this fully and correctly? My guess is that either there's still some processing to do or it might just take time and a mental/spiritual battle to work through. I guess I don't feel that the issue is resolved and that I'm reconciled. The biggest reason may be the pain I talk about.…

He was calm, but serious. He asked about details. He expressed his disappointment that he trusted me as a friend. He spoke about forgiveness in the future but that he'd prob never trust me again and then he left. He called me a couple times after that demanding details, then finally forgiving me. He was about as merciful as I could hope for.

If straight up sex was not had, is it still adultery? I'm not disputing that this is bad. But does it reach that extreme?
