Yeah, while I think that porn over-use is an epidemic and that guys should start waking up and realizing what it's doing to them, the nofap movement is treating it like full-on alcoholism or something. Why is it that if I go on vacation for 2 weeks and I don't have my laptop, porn doesn't cross my mind at all. And the urge to masturbate is attenuated because of how busy I am? I think most people who think they are addicted to porn are really just compelled to do it because they're anxious, it's …

Props for being able to do it. I tried it, actually. Managed to stay on softcore for a few weeks but those old neural connections weren't having any of it. Cold turkey seems to work best for me, but I go on the fritz when I hit ~ day 100.

True, but I see this coming to a screeching halt soon when his novelty wears off. The "refinement" I speak of really just boils down to not taking her questions seriously.

You didn't pass with flying colors because you took all of her questions seriously. If a child told you that your engine could be louder, would you have gotten pissed off? The only reason she texted you is because she isn't used to going out with guys like you and she is aroused. But only for the moment. Deep down she knows you can be manipulating because you are already catering to every bullshit statement she's mouthing.

/u/gaylubeoil gave me a really specific piece of advice for women that also extends to the average person. It is to replace some of my highfalutin, theoretical ways of expressing things with specific , visualizable examples. What I've noticed so far is that it's easier for people to listen to me, and it also has the added benefit of making them more engaged. I can see it in their eyes, it's extremely obvious. When you're also making the example/story a bit funny, it's like a fricken social homer…

Why is this all about extremes for you? Just take down the page, get rid of the name, and start a new one from scratch that looks just as standard as every other frat out there. Don't write the words "red" or "redpill" anywhere.Get rid of the red colour too. As for the rushes and members...I probably wouldn't even mention anything about the community and this sub until way after they've joined. Genetic sexual attraction. It happens more than you care to know between close relatives who meet for the first time as adults. Can't believe how blown out of proportion this particular instance is compared to every other one we don't hear about.

In my only useful post, I talk about the danger of the term "outcome independence". Here's an example: "Nah, didn't approach any girls last night ... I was too busy having fun with my pals. Besides, I'm outcome independent so it doesn't really matter. Whatever happens happens" I used that term to avoid discomfort many times. Funnily enough, it was when I put the most pressure on myself to approach, and when I set myself up to be disappointed if I didn't, that I was getting the most phone numbers…

I'm not. If there was someone like me out there ( because clearly I'm lying about lifting , being social, and doing the shit I love) it would be hard to prove on /r/trpgame. Yup. I used to feel entitled and unworthy simultaneously. Everything is set into alignment when we feel that we're worth a damn and that we're capable of achieving what anyone else can though work. It may sound obvious to many here, but it's something that took me years to accept. Accepting that you're just as able to succeed as the next day places you in a position of personal responsibility and accountability. I only took on that challenge as I matured.

I work with two kinds of people in the startup world - lifestyle chasers and visionaries. The lifestyle chasers don't give a fuck about what they're building and just want to exit so they can scrape together a pseudo-luxury life , the visionaries want to effect change , achieve their potential , do good, and be remembered. Which one are you?

I think that for you guys who grew up with porn, you owe it to yourselves to experiment with abstinence. It's only when I stopped did I realize that it zapped my sex drive. I still "thought" of women, I still "craved" them and still went out. But the feeling I got when I wasn't jacking off(to or without porn) gave me a more primordial drive for intimacy. I would say the horniness was more "groinal" and less "mental". Definitely made me come off more aggressive. Chatting up girls after I just jac…

That's it. I ate a bit more than maintenance, not much more. And I also exercise a lot so I didn't get any weight really. And even then, eating a bit over 2200 cal, I felt bloated and shitty. I think it's because I eat really small meals and I didn't give my stomach enoguh time to expand. (stomach is a muscle, I guess)
/r/TheRedPill22/05/14 08:50 PM

I fucking tried. All I got was bloating, massive sweaty shits, and a feeling of perpetual malaise. I can't eat a lot. I'm just so damn tiny and it's pissing me off. Why is my back mostly shoulder blades? I don't get why weaker guys at the gym have backs that are filled with muscle and mine is just a plank with two shoulder blades poking out. It's so fucking confusing.

Cool reply. I'm guilty of not eating the way I should, but I know I don't "eat big" and I don't pretend to. I get bloated if I eat more than a chicken breast and half a cup of rice. Yeah, I've "tried" to eat more but I could never pull it off. I'm not going to put up with whey farts and perpetual stomach cramps just to put on another few pounds. I stick to my maintenance calories +/- a few depending on training. Usually I just add carbs, remove fat on lifting days, and I remove carbs, add fat on…

I wouldn't panic. Low body fat and good cardiovascular health come before muscle mass in terms of keeping healthy. You don't need a gym to attain those 2.

One thing I don't understand. I'm in the 6''0 , in the 175-180lb range, and although I'm lifting at the intermediate level, I look really "small" compared to the guys at the gym who lift even less than me with broken form. Is it because I'm not doing accessory lifts as often as they are? (the ones that make someone "look" bigger, like arms, traps, shoulders, etc) I've had guys at the gym tell me they wouldn't believe I could lift the weight I do if they hadn't seen me do it. I'm still trying to figure out when to be my usual "this is beyond my control, stop trying to get people to behave a certain way around me" and when to lay it down when a man or woman is treating me in a way that I dislike. (rude, disrespectful, condescending, etc).

Totally agree here. I still think that at the "quantum" level, it boils down to raw personal volition. Nobody pressures anyone to do anything, and I do really think that there are still a select few (even when cooperating directly or indirectly) who want to make change for the heck of it. Those guys are the real heroes. A lot of people take the Objecvitist standpoints out of context. It's not about "not needing people", but more like "not needing anything except for your own mind to achieve your…

Your success is yours, and has nothing to do with other peoples' knowledge of it. If you feel that you need to tell people about it to "own" it, then that's up to you. But ... why do others need to know about it so that you can "own" it? I personally find that not disclosing my ambitions, dreams, and successes if I don't have to reinforces the very personal relationship I have with them. Maintaining some amount of privacy and/or mystique does not equate to being unable to "own your success". The…

1) Tell her in advance you'll be nervous, and ask her to be assertive in foreplay and undressing. 2) Your goal isn't to "please" her whatsoever. Your goal is to be a fucking animal and just go at it however you want. I think you can manage. edit: meant it as a reply to this, sorry for deleting.

I wouldn't recommend it per se, just saying what worked for me and what may work for you. Another valid option is to realize that with the right type of hard work, you can probably get laid in under a year, and you won't have the "stigma" hanging above you, even though IMO the stigma exists for no reason. It's really just meaningless in-and-out, and you'll probably experience it at one point or another in your life. This is better overall but if you are like I was, you'll want some immediate rel…

This is why Greek philosophy needs to find its way back to high schools. People don't have the tools to think rationally, so they make shit up ad-hoc as they go on through life all the way through adulthood, and condition themselves to not see the contradictions in their moral fibers, just because it might hurt their ego and make them feel like they've been lying to others and to themselves their whole lives. I feel really bad for them.

You won't get a good experience because you probably won't be totally attracted to the girl and the sex will be bad. I became complacent after I saw her, and then became depressed by the fact that finding sex organically was really still as difficult as always. Seeing another woman for a second time to satisfy that hunger again is a risky, unsustainable, and unrewarding move. I really do see similarities between porn and paying for sex...they're way too easy to access, rob you of time or money, …

"Oh look, here I am having fun with a friend and life is great. I don't need to bother approaching women tonight. Afterall, I AM outcome independent". Basically, I rationalized not talking to women I liked quite often, under the pretense that I didn't have to if I didn't want to. What I said was that accepting popular philosophy at face value is dangerous. It's exactly what I did, and the problem was I didn't use any critical thinking. Not getting regular sex does not help with this at all, and unfortunately it's one of my rationalizations when I'm about to watch porn again for the first time after 3-4 months of abstinence. Thanks for replying. For me, it's pretty difficult up to the first month or so. Then the second and third months are relatively easy. Around that time, I start to feel a pretty serious need for a release, so I go for it, without using porn.
