Condo wouldn't be a bad idea... I just hate the idea of HOA fees every month. But I'm sure there are different opportunities.

I like this idea! A dog is a good suggestion.

Interesting idea! I wonder how that would work.

I have been reaching out. They are just busy with life. They reach out when they can. Good suggestion on joining a group. And... Definitely the making memories part. Thanks for the response.

I'm glad you found a place. Even a starter home is costing $400,000. I'm not optimistic about my chances but we'll see.

You found a reasonable place for a reasonable price in the Portland area? Please share.

Today... I'm not as happy with either as I'd like. Market killed me this last 6 months and if you're in the Portland area the housing market is horribly expensive. However, the kids have their stable place. It's important to me for them.

Dang man... Take care of yourself. For me the covid took a week before I was functional... But I still have symptoms. And do your best for the kids. I'm sorry you have to deal with her BS.

Dang. That doesn't sound good. Thankfully, we didn't have lawyers. I hope you are able to straighten things out. Good luck pal!

I'm in my 50s. Not the best time for a friend reset. But yes, They are actually very good friends.

It doesn't help with the depression but you are 100% correct. TBH I have two male friends who have reached out. But they are busy and it's only about once a month. Regardless, I appreciate it when they do. I probably wouldn't be here right now if it weren't for my kids. Good advice on joining a club. I'm hitting the gym again after covid and I'm hoping it'll help. I really appreciate your comment.

Oh shit. That's not good. I'm sorry pal. I hope so comes to her senses. Take pictures of the damage. Take notes. Good luck!

Damn pal. Sounds like you are having a rough time. I'm really sorry to hear that. I've been guilty of drinking more than my share as well. I hope you can find something to fill the alcohol void. Sounds like you realize that will benefit you. Thank you for your thoughtful words. Always appreciate when someone takes the time to respond like you did. I hope you can forgive yourself... And maybe her too. That doesn't mean you have to get back together but you two made a beautiful daughter. Do the be…

Thank you for the links. However, I suspect that I should have looked at them years ago. I'll look at them and I appreciate your response.

The problem is that she's being nice and generous. I just have had enough of feeling neglected in the past. I can't let go. I guess I just want to be alone for a while.

I understand your concerns. It's sad that finances alone will encourage you to stay. I'm in the same boat as you though. I'd like to think it'd be amicable. We'd split things evenly. Wouldn't she want her kids father to live comfortably, just like she is? I'd like to think so but I won't know until I know. Good luck pal. I wish you the best.

Shit, I'm really sorry for my snarky comment. Obviously I'm a bit cranky lately but I should be more careful with my words.

Oh... I expect her to ask me that. I plan to just say that we need to coordinate a bigger separation. I've been separated in the house for 4 months. During covid. It's not easy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
