yes because you or your exes attitude can change at any given moment during the process and the forms have long lasting implications - meaning in 10 years the agreement or parental plan may not suit you both and it could become a huge issue. You’re both amicable now but all it takes is a butterfly wing flap to change that when it comes to feelings during the divorce.

Thank you for the reply, pal! I am looking into it as well as a personal loan as a possibility. You confirmed what the lawyer did in terms of being on the hook for it/legal bills. I am just worried about keeping up the payments for as long as a judgement takes, as well as future fees if retainer runs out - apologies if these are silly things to worry about but the US is not my country of birth so i am really unaware of the ramifications of such things, especially my ability to apply for a card w…
