This is interesting. Where do you draw the line when it's okay to be a step-dad? Fucked thousands of women = okay, fucked two = not okay. What about 50?

Forget trying to be friends with men. Pointless. He already has the best thing he needs to be sexually successful - the social proofing of being friends with a group of (presumably attractive?) women, coupled with an active social life. Any man I've ever known in that situation - including myself when I was younger - was drowning in it. Is there something you're not telling us here? Like is he terribly ugly or a starts stuttering uncontrollably when he tries to chat up a woman? Because if he's r…

My thoughts exactly. I make the Chris Benoit joke as a bit of a shocking hyperbole, but I only do that because of the amount of people who have told me - a vasectomied nearly 40 year old man - that I will change my mind "someday". In fact, even after making the joke I've had people tell me that I'll change my mind. You can tell people outright that you're not cut out to be a parent, and they still try to push it. Unbelievable. Can't even begin to comprehend how women feel in this situation, as i…

Ehh... it has no effect on me. I'm insecure about tons of things. Couldn't give a fuck who knows. If the word has some deep emotional connotations for you, then y'know... that's one for you to sort out on your own time.

...I never said that it was negative for someone to be insecure about n count. I just said I'm not insecure about that particular thing. Everything else you're feeling is just you hamstering yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/23 09:09 PM

Oh right I see, you think insecurity is something you can't ever admit to. Okay, carry on.

A sexual insecurity. Not an n count insecurity. Could not give a shit about ns, but quality of sex? From one person? Nah that would fuck with my head.

Yeah but Russia... ehh this might get me banned or in trouble here, but they're not exactly bastions of progressiveness, eh? Think of their treatment of gays, for example. Or trans people, or women in general for that matter. As that other commenter just reminded me - I completely forgot about the USA. USA is also the only first world country where male on male prison rape is a big thing. I've been to jail in my own country before, and it just doesn't happen here. Inside for 9 months and didn't …

I can't think of any developed countries in which soldiers have been conscripted post-Korean war. Certainly, conscripts from my country engaged in wartime rape during WWII, but social mores have changed substantially since then. For instance, those same conscripts would also have no social qualms about raping their wives at home. That's not something most men these days find acceptable behaviour, despite it being fine and dandy 80 years ago. Implying that social attitudes to rape haven't changed…

A is my preference by far. I don't have an n count insecurity like most on here, but shit... situation B would give me an insecurity for sure.

This is one reason why I will never consider myself a Red Pill man, despite soft agreeing with some of the things they say. I can't stand kids. Never have, never will. I haven't got a paternal bone in my body. I am impatient, aggressive, and selfish - me having kids is the path straight to Chris Benoit 2.0 (2k23 GOTY special edition).
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/23 04:33 PM

Need an Internet break lad. The stuff you consume on here influences your fears. Get off the Internet for a while before you ruin your relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/23 04:28 PM

You already know the answer ffs. Looks. It's always looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/23 02:42 PM

Well, I've said the same to women who have picked objectively bad partners and have been called sexist for pointing it out. And the last time I dated, I set myself a strict set of requirements and forced myself not to waste time on the influencer types. I stuck to those parameters and found a responsible partner. Guess what? Apparently that was sexist as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/23 02:37 PM

Absolutely not. But can we maybe bring the discussion down into the realms of reality and not speak in extremes? If you're acting as breadwinner, therapist, butler and chef for a partner, do you not think that eventually you're going to feel frustrated with your life? I know women do when they're in that situation. Why should it be different for men?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/23 02:24 PM

Of course I recognise the irony. If anything, being subjected to that shit has made me understand exactly how frustrating and off-putting it is for a woman to have to play mummy to her partner. I personally don't see this as an issue of "higher ground" or beating one another. One gender's pain and frustration at a situation doesn't take away from that of the other. All I'm saying is that we're seeing a rise in women who want to be treated like kids in relationships. It's not equal to the number …
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/23 02:10 PM

Sure, it definitely is the traditional experience of women - that's why I said in my original post "women know this all too well". Yes, my resentment is personal, but I contend that times are changing very rapidly. These days, we're seeing more men being put in the position I was. It's not a majority, of course - women still bear the brunt of domestic and emotional duties in the average relationship - but it's becoming more common to find men in this type of situations. Certainly more common tha…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/23 01:48 PM

I fully agree. What I'm talking about is relationships in which the man is expected to be breadwinner, therapist, butler, chef and cleaner and in return gets... sex. An adult baby with a sex drive. That's the exact opposite of what you're describing.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/23 01:40 PM

I'll rephrase: my resentment in past relationships was because I chose partners who didn't want to work a traditional job, and also expected me to be their therapist, butler, chef and cleaner. I brought in 80%+ of the income, did 80%+ of the cooking and cleaning, and spent hours every night comforting and empathising. I was basically a service robot/replacement daddy, and it made me very bitter. I imagine that men who are in the same position I was are unhappy with the deal they're getting, beca…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/23 01:39 PM

I absolutely agree, but I'd say that the source of much of the resentment on the part of men occurs when a woman wants an emotionally intelligent "modern man" for a partner, but also wants to have their entire life funded by said partner, like a 1950s housewife. That's a bit too much pressure to place on one individual - it's more akin to asking for a replacement father than for someone to build a life with. At that point, what is the man getting from the deal? Sex is not a fair trade for having…

I don't think so. I can't think of any man I know IRL who has experienced that either. In fact, I'm not even sure how it would manifest. Can you give me some examples?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/23 08:45 PM
3

I'm not even sure I understand what that means. What I'm saying is: I've never had the experience of being "shamed" for having sexual urges or attraction, if that's the biological urge you're referring to.

Yup.

Don't waste your breath. People here are far too dense to understand the difference between subconscious and conscious desire.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/23 08:16 PM

Assuming you're talking about sex drive and sexual attraction - not something I've ever been shamed for, personally. Thought it's common knowledge that most adults love a wee shag.

Where I'm from, it's fairly common to go to the 'Dam for a lads' weekend. As far as I know, no one has ever experienced rejection from a future partner on account of them doing this in the past. With that in mind, I'd wager that women are far more accepting of men who have been to prostitutes than men are of promiscuous women.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/23 07:36 PM

I don't think love exists in the way we've been taught by the media. I think all relationships are transactional on both sides, and I'm okay with it.

Could just be the places I'm staying, but I have to travel semi-regularly for work, and I've definitely noticed a gradual creep towards 10/10:30 at some point in the last 5 years. This place was definitely an outlier though, you're right there.

Been there. The problem is that you're putting them first and yourself second. People have a tendency to suck you dry if you let them, even those who have good intentions. Boundaries, man. It's like the advice they give you on aeroplanes: get your own mask on first, then help others.

Took my partner to a hotel overnight for a little romantic break. The fucking checkout times are ridiculous these days. 9:30AM we had to be out by. This isn't some mega chain hotel either - small boutique with just 4 tiny rooms and we were the only guests. Check-in time was 4:00PM too. I remember when checkout times were 11AM as standard. I think we're going to see pre-9AM checkouts within our lifetime.

Personally, I thought most of the ratings in that thread weren't beyond the pale. Kirstin (sp?) Dunst is a good example. She's pretty, but you will see dozens of women a day who are objectively prettier. That shouldn't trigger the insane emotional response it has.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/23 12:39 PM
1

Of course. I'd rather look like Melissa McCarthy and have her net worth than look like me and have mine. I fully admit it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/23 12:37 PM

Uh huh. All I see are people rating objectively slightly above average celebrities as 6/10, and women getting big mad about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/23 12:34 PM

No, but they're getting angry when men don't rate Melissa McCarthy a 10.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/23 12:29 PM
1

Sure, I'd agree with that. But I don't think that means that every single famous woman is a 7 or above, and I don't think it justifies the rage you see from women on here when you rate the occasional actress as a 6.

Didn't want to make it personal because I wanted to avoid looking like I'm humblebragging, but you're leaving me no choice. I'm engaged to a woman who was a model for fetish wear and alt magazines. I've already been through this with you the last time you called me an incel. People who have managed to find work as models are, generally speaking, judged as being in the higher realms of attractiveness. She wouldn't be with me if we weren't "looksmatched", so let's please not do this "you're delusi…

A lot of women seem to have trouble understanding that just because someone is famous, it doesn't automatically make them a 10. Also fairly foolish to assume that everyone on the Internet is ugly. It's 2023, Reddit etc is mainstream. Gonna be lots of people on here with partners and friends who are objectively more attractive than some celebrities. We're not all sweaty nerds.

Some people are fully incapable of reflection, and she's one of them. Literally incapable of learning. Same thing has been happening to her for 15+ years and it's not clicked yet. Never will.

How many women have you met in your life who have respect for anything, including themselves? Toddler mode, as I said. Ones who don't have that toddler switch are rare.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/23 04:47 PM
3

It's mainly young, desperate horny type guys who can't fathom the idea that someone could ever be in the position where they wouldn't want to have sex with any woman who think like this. Very rare that a woman could use force against a man to get sex - yes. But they can quite easily use social pressure, shame, crying fits, temper tantrums and homophobia to achieve the same result.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/23 04:44 PM

It's easier and wiser to capitulate than to deal with a woman in screaming toddler mode.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/23 04:37 PM
2

So let's say you know that your partner will react to you rejecting her by freaking out, crying and having a breakdown. And you know it'll last for days and you'll have to spend all your free time comforting her. Your choice there instead of sucking it up and having sex even though you don't want to... is gender reassignment surgery?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/23 04:27 PM
1

Definitely not. Plenty of time left for most women of that age, but in her specific situation according to her own life goals... she's set herself quite a tight time limit.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/23 04:22 PM

I also place sleep as being of higher importance, but a woman can definitely force a man to do sexual stuff he doesn't want to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/23 04:21 PM
1

Sure, but you can't bank on that. We don't have a playbook of when our bodies are going to start ageing. If you're a woman and you want to have a ton of kids, having them by 40 is probably a good idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/23 04:18 PM
1

That's just one of those questions you don't ask yourself. She's a nice woman, and we're kind of in the habit of taking care of her now. My partner thinks of her as an adopted daughter, despite being 4 years younger herself.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/23 04:08 PM
1

I mean it's possible yes, but menopause can begin as early as 40. And I suppose the most important thing I missed out here is that she only likes guys who don't have kids already. Mid-late 30s guys of this demographic without kids? Needle haystack.

Q4M: Would you like to be woken up by a blowjob from a partner? No prior consent discussed. Answer for me is no. Don't wake me up unless it's an emergency.

I agree with your headline but not at all with the contents of the post - the examples you've used are all classic anxious/unstable attachment stuff. Yes, I think that most on here are functionally asexual and have rarely if ever experienced pure mutual lust. However, you're describing anxiety-relief endorphins - not attraction endorphins. Attraction endorphins are when your genitalia are so filled with blood from just talking to someone that you can hear the pulse of it in your ears. That can h…

Partner and I have become friends with a woman who is the human embodiment of banging your head against a brick wall. She's got a very specific type - guys who look like they've been on Love Island (for the Yanks: superficial UK reality dating show full of guys with veneer teeth, spray on jeans, bottle tan and a cocaine habit.) It's not even a looks thing. It's pure demographic attraction in action. I've saw her pie a 10/10 normie for a 7/10 Love Island type, for example. Anyway, it plays out th…

I'm not sure I understand the question. I'd like to be taller, yes - and if that comes with making my father taller then so be it, although I'm not sure what good it would do him at his age. I understand why women want tall men - yes. It's a combination of biological and social factors. Yes, my mother should have picked better, but my father's height was very low on the list of traits she should have screened for, in retrospect. Yeah, I really don't understand the question.

Can you define the terms a bit better? Would I still be able to get medical treatment, such as an operation? I'm in the middle of a large bodysuit tattoo which will take another 2 years of sessions to complete - do I have to stop because it involves touching? If I get into a car crash can a passerby pull me out the burning wreck? And emotionally: can I still have casual conversation with people, as long as it doesn't get too intimate?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 04:43 PM

That's what she's saying she did, and it ended in dead bedroom. Twice. I'm not saying I'm some sort of relationship guru, but my policy has always been don't waste time on people who aren't attracted to you, and I've never been in a dead bedroom situation. Take from that what you will.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 03:28 PM
3

The obliviousness of PPD women exemplified: On that thread about spousal sex, there's a woman vehemently arguing with anyone who will listen that initial sexual attraction is not an important factor in establishing a lasting relationship. Said woman is also complaining elsewhere on the thread that she's been in two dead bedroom marriages before the age of 40. Dunning-Krueger in action. And before any women get triggered: obligatory yes the men here are idiots too caveat.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 03:03 PM

The car crash thing is a terrible analogy but you're 100% right about this sub - it's kissless virgins and women in miserable relationships convincing themselves they are relationship experts.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 02:36 PM
8

Exactly. I don't get why this is so hard to understand for many people on here. My missus is an extremely loud chewer. I've known that since day one. Never bothered me because I've always thought she was a grade A baddie. Whereas there's also a loud chewer at my work, and I want to cave his head in with a fire extinguisher on a daily basis. We're hard-wired to ignore the "flaws" of those we find very attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/23 08:10 PM
17

Initial infatuation often comes with respect, desire to please, willingness to compromise, ability to withstand small annoyances. That's a good basis to build a lasting partnership. For example: I treat those to whom I am strongly attracted much better than I treat those I feel meh about. Most people operate this way. The longest relationship I've ever been in lasted 9 years.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/23 07:36 PM
19

Now let's not be ridiculous: it's not the only thing that matters. But it provides a solid foundation on which to build the stuff that makes relationships last in the long term.

That's still no excuse to start from a place of zero goo goo eyes.

Never experienced it myself - even when ex-partners were obviously growing to hate and resent me they still had libido, but it's one of my worst nightmares as a man growing older in a relationship. Just a few hours ago I was reading a post on a fetish-related sub about a guy whose wife, after 10 years together, told him that she was disgusted by his fetish, and had pretty much lost all interest in sex altogether. However, she got upset at the prospect of splitting up. I mean, what can you do in …

Not for me - OLD was like heaven in my experience. But you're right in a way - no one should be sitting on Tinder for any more than a few months. 6 months max and then give up, embrace the inceldom or whatever. 60 bangers max expenditure.

Maybe, but definitely less when you use Gold. I can attest to the levels of fuckery: I bought Gold three days after creating an account. Went into my likes and matched up with the women I found attractive. That's how I met my now partner - and when matched it said that she'd "superliked" me. Later, once we'd got together and discussed how we first met, it turns out that she swiped on me three days prior - aka the very first day I had an account, prior to me purchasing Gold. Good tip. That's exactly what I did. First go round I was frustrated with the quality of matches and felt like I was being drip fed. Deleted it and took a month off. Made a new account and bought Gold immediately. World of difference.

Of all the self-defeating behaviours my fellow men display on here, refusing to pay £10 for Tinder Gold/the premium option on your app of choice is by far the stupidest one. Can't say I agree. My parents did a lot of things wrong, but letting girlfriends stay overnight starting when I was 15ish and turning a blind eye to me experimenting with drink and soft drugs definitely helped me to learn moderation. By the time I was 18 I was completely over it. Whereas I went to university with kids who had been kept on a tight leash their entire lives; predictably, they went off the rails as soon as they had the opportunity.

Their claims of "he was set up" just don't hold water with me.

I'm friends with a group which is made up of 5/8 women and they are officially terrible at detecting red flags. Before I knew them, a (male) member of the friend group got jailed for the rape of two women. Despite being a convicted rapist, all the women in my friend group speak incredibly highly of him, and are currently talking in the group chat about throwing him a party when he gets out next month. I've kept my opinions on the matter quiet for years, but I'm reaching the end of my tether. Thi…

I like a lot of women in real life as people. I don't like the female hivemind collective though aka the way middle class American women act on the Internet. I think men and women are essentially equal - we have different strengths and weakness which is perhaps controversial to say these days, but it all balances out. I connect with loads of women intellectually, but I wouldn't say it's the best basis for a relationship. It's necessary for a good, lasting relationship, but in my experience the B…

If that's the only choice you're giving: commit to single mother. I hate children and don't want any. As long as the kid is older (15+) and doesn't require any form of parenting or input from me at all, I'd make peace with the situation.

Basically, temper your expectations. Being "loved fully" is a really big, rare thing. But making your genitals go brrrrrr is really easy. Sex and love are two different things. Sure, one can lead to the other, but the reality of life for most (normal) people is that there's going to be way more people out there who want to fuck you than people who want to love you. Why accept anything less than 100%? Because 100% is hard to find. It might take a while. And having some temporary fun with someone …

I'm a man. Five previous relationships. 1) She cheated, but instantly regretted it and tried to get me back for 6ish months. However my feelings were gone. So even although she was unfaithful, I'd say it was me who lost feelings first, technically. 2) Exactly the same story as 1. 3) She cheated and didn't regret it, so I'd say it's pretty clear she lost them first. 4) She lost feelings first. 5) Same story as 1 and 2. I was with someone for 8 years who just did not want to get married. Bear in mind I come from a highly secular country where marriage isn't seen as such a cultural necessity, nor does it confer any special legal benefits that you might get in the US. We're still good friends, and she's got kids now. Doesn't want to marry their father either. Just not into marriage - very practical woman and simply views it as a very expensive party.

I think you're 100% right. I don't really connect with a lot of the difficulties the guys on here describe. Other experiences for sure. I had a fairly rough upbringing. My parents were decent people, but the city I grew up in was notorious for violence, crime and "hard living". That meant I had to be extremely socially switched on from a young age, or else I'd get taken advantage of. Or worse. Coupled with having very low expectations of people (i.e. had to become a person who is difficult to hurt emotionally), these experiences turned me in to someone who always found it easy to ingratiate myself soc…

Not a manospherian, but had a fairly absent/weak father. Never affected me in the way PPD says it should have. Never got any decent romantic advice from him, and I'm convinced he'd be an incel if he grew up today. Despite that, I've never had any issues attracting or forming relationships with women. If anything, he was an exemplar of what I didn't want to be, and I realised that fairly early (14ish?). Don't want kids myself, so not something I consider for the future.

Hmmmm, I've been there myself before, and it's definitely not disgust. My thought process was "I don't know this person very well. I find them attractive, but I don't have any feelings for them yet". So cuddling wouldn't really have been appropriate.

Not a woman, but I understand it. Cuddling implies comfort, security and care, whereas sex for a lot of people is simply "genitals go brrrr". There is a mental difference. I've known people who don't kiss ONS partners because it's too intimate. In my view, that's weirder.

Not in my experience of life. It's part of the reason I find the things posted on this sub to be so bizarre and perplexing. I wouldn't say me or my friends are anything out of the ordinary, but none of us ever experienced difficulty establishing or maintaining casual or longterm relationship with women, and that's both via OLD and real life meetings. I hear all the statistics touted on here. I just don't see it.

Scotland. I'm bad at guessing ages, but I'd say miniskirt wearers mostly range from 10 at the earliest to 15, at which point they tend to grow up a bit and dress more normally.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/23 10:40 PM

I live in a cold country, so hardly ever see grown women wearing them. Leggings are by far the most popular bottoms attire for adult women. In the summer you see lots of kids (I mean literal children) running around in miniskirts, which is fairly repulsive.

Yes of course, most women are just as undateable as the men they complain about. I can attest to it as well. Here's where I think the difference lies: the impact of pretty privilege. We know that attractive people of both genders get away with things that the average person wouldn't. The question is - which gender gets away with more based on their looks? Biggest issue I've found that affects my levels of desire in a relationship is slipping aesthetic/hygiene standards. First 6 months of a relationship, everyone is on their best behaviour of course. But after that, I've found that most women think "I've got him now - time to kick back." Then we get the skipping days between showers, letting the hair get greasy, weight gain, toenails so long they're clicking off the floor, etc... A lot of this is cultural too. Majority of you lot are American, and (correct me if I'm wrong) there was quite a strong Puritan influence on the founding culture of the United States. /r/PurplePillDebate04/01/23 04:37 PM

Teenage experiences mainly. When I was young, PIV was something you worked up to. Had half a dozen handjobs and a few blowjobs before any PIV. But even as an adult, sometimes you'd get a blowjob or handjob without having sex. Usually a situation like being out on the piss and meet someone at a nightclub. Woman sucked me off in a taxi queue once, for example. Much rarer in adulthood though.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/23 04:21 PM

Well, just thinking back to when I was young: if we're including handjobs, blowjobs, dry humping etc then we're talking a dozen or so extra bodies before my penis ever entered a vagina. Seems silly to me. I wouldn't say a daft handjob in the bushes when I was 13 is some noteworthy event. Certainly at the time, if I'd said to my mates something like "my bodycount is 8" or whatever, they'd have laughed at me and said it's zero because I'd shagged zero. Hence I've always only counted PIV.

The flaw in your logic is assuming that there will be suffering. The woman does and will continue to be treated like the angel she is until she decides she doesn't want it any more. For most people, the reality of how they are treated in a relationship outweighs any concerns about philosophical stances. Outcome trumps intent, always.

I have a group of female coworkers who epitomise the downfall of the dating market. They're a group of four overweight, bitter, unpleasant individuals in their late 20s/early 30s. Two of them have never been in a relationship. All four rarely date. They think extremely highly of themselves (always talking about how they're 10s), which would be fine if they didn't constantly disparage other people - both male and female coworkers - who are in happy relationships/marriages. I was talking on here y…

As soon as possible. In the example you gave, you should be aiming to take her home that very night. At the very least switch numbers and let her know you're planning to take her out. Text her the next day, establish some text chat for a day or two, then ask her on a date. On Tinder, you should be asking for the date within the first 20 messages. That's what's worked for me all my life.

The only love life advice my father has ever gave me was to pick an ugly woman. I was about 33 at the time, and had 5 relationships end due to infidelity. Fairly awful track record. His reasoning was that I always go for the hot women, and hot women are always going to have options. Ergo, he suggested picking an ugly woman who would worship the ground I walk on for a more stable, long-term partnership. I couldn't bring myself to take his advice, but I can see where he was coming from.

Cultural commonalities. I'm a man with a masters degree, and I used to think that education levels didn't matter. Hence, I've dated women with postgrad degrees; women who left school at 14 who could barely read or write; and everything in between. Of course. It's basic politeness, at the very least. Also a good way to tell if someone is in it for the longrun or not. Few years ago I bought my situationship of 4ish months a couple of xmas presents and she got me... fuck all. No one is obliged to buy anyone anything ever, of course. But in that situation, I read her lack of consideration as an indicator that things would never progress to the relationship stage, and I bailed in early January.

I saw one on here where a guy was talking about how his girlfriend's ex would threaten to kill himself every time she tried to end their relationship. And if she didn't, that would make him a cuck. The person giving this advice was a woman. And a mod.

As a man I'd say definitely who you can get for a LTR. Where I live at least, it's fairly easy to have a one nighter with an 8 or a 9, but the majority of women in the upper echelons of attractiveness rarely want to be tied down to one man. Well, where I'm from marriage isn't massively popular with millennials (and to some extent Gen Xers), so you don't see a lot of divorcees in that age range. Being a teen mum is fairly common though - about 20% of the girls I went to school with had a kid at 16/17. Nah not even close, and I say that as a man who dated in his mid-30s. The reality is: it's much easier to differentiate the losers from the winners when you're in your 30s. Red and green flags aren't as plain to see when people are younger. By full adulthood, they're flying front and centre.

"Build a bitch" is simply a colloquial term, and slime is a pretty accurate description of what it's like to be in a toxic relationship.
