I agree, but I guess I'm a minority. She didn't seem to be physically aggressive, I don't know that she needed to be thrown around like that. Whenever anything similar shows up on the internet, an alteration between a teacher and a student, 9 times out of 10, the student is to blame, no one seems to be considering the age difference and the fact that shit like this will not address the problem here, which is her attitude, it's just more likely to make her even more aggressive. You can't treat pe…

That's because he had bigger arms and a bigger chest, and you didn't. Are you implying slender men are unattractive?

Based on the things you just described yourself as and the things I've collected during my lifespan, I'd say you're no fun to be around with. Just seems like it.

Can't you look on the bright side of it? Honestly, if I could swap places with you and have my head turned upside-down over a girl instead of having nothing happen to me, I'd always pick the former, just for the sake of learning something valuable, as I'm sure you have, but you're focused on all the wrong things.

Why are you pissed, though? At least that what it seems like from my perspective. Always keep one thing in mind: It's just a game.

We went for a coffee, talked stuff, but it turns out coffee is not a seduction liquor... Anyway, I made my intentions clear but she says she's not looking for someone at the moment and would rather remain friends. Quickly after that we parted ways and I don't think I'll be hearing much from her any time soon. Fuck it, they can't all be winners.

Well, the main disadvantage of walking up to her in the street like that is that no matter what I do or say, she'll be uncomfortable at first and think of myself as a stalker. But I figured it was cheaper and less time wasting than going to parties and forcing myself to believe that I do enjoy these types of social gatherings. I was ready for a rejection, but even rejected or insulted, I'd still feel better about myself than not approaching her at all. Something that has been said here plenty of…

In my opinion, it hasn't got much to do with the rejection itself, but what usually keeps me from approach is my self-perception, if I don't play my cards right. It often happened to me that I freeze up in a conversation and fail miserably, and to be honest, it keeps haunting me to this day, but when I know I did my A-game and got rejected, honestly, I don't feel bad for one second. So, to sum up, it isn't the rejection that fears us, it's the aftermath of self-judgement... or that's just me.

Shitty friends, indeed. They're actually just my roommates, ever since I started college, I haven't had any friends I could go out with. They used to bring me with them, but then they just stopped inviting me and my ego is too huge to ask them for it. I'm far too inexperienced to go solo and have no one to go out with, so you can see I'm pretty screwed, as I don't see a way out of this situation. Just seems like it's out of my hands at the moment.

Problem goes way back and one is always faced with a great challenge in controlling his temper, it is just our primal instinct to fight back when cornered. In my experience, the best thing you can do is keep telling yourself it isn't worth it and engage him as little as possible. From your story, I'd say you didn't ignore him as much as you could, or he was just among the top contenders for the biggest dick in the world award.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
