for everyone one of them I can give you a a feminist like ryan gosling, john barrowman, joss wheden, etc that people fawn over. I can probably give you 10. Hell, I'm a counter example myself, blue pill as fuck, bisexual femme male who "gets more pussy" than I know what to do with.

as a gender non-conforming male-bodied person, I've found far more accpetance amongst feminists than amongst anti feminist people

Being creepy is hitting on someone despite obvious denial of sexual advances. I've been creeped on a bunch, both by "attractive" (conventionally) people and by nonattractive people as well. The fact is that non-attractive people aren't more likely to be creepy, they are just given more chances to be creepy and exhibit creepy behavior because their sexual advances are denied more. Sorry, but that's the truth, that unattractive people aren't "creepy" themselves, but unless they acknowledge the fac…

people always say TRP isn't misogynist or homophonic or transphobic, and that there is no connection to that, but for example take a look at how TRP is in the sidebar of http://www.reddit.com/r/Trans_fags . You can't deny that TRP attracts people who do legitimately hate women and don't consider them peoplpe.

So I'm a feminist, and also a total flirt. I hit on people (both men and women) basically all the time. I haven't been in a closed relationship in 10 years, so its more or less constant for me. Maybe its because I'm attractive, but honestly, I've never been called a creep or a perv before. Its probably because I understand consent, and if someone I'm flirting with and hiittting on isn't into it, I just straight up stop. I think most peopple only think its creepy if you keep hitting on them after…

I can see that. I'm poly so my sitch is totaly different. I am super in love with my two primary partners though, and sex with them is definitely faaar better than any hookup with a friend with benefits. I do enjoy the new and thrilling sex with somebody new, but when the 3 of us have sex, or when I have sex with each of them individually, its definitely just overall far better. I enjoy thed hooking up with tgoing out annother people that aren't in our triad. One of them has two other secondary …

Why doesn't it mean anything? Sure, I am just one data point in the discussion, but I'm curious why you are totally discou1nting my experience as if it doesn't matter. Please tell me why my opinion doesn't matter at all. Edit: Thanks for downvoting me and not replying. I'm not sure, I've never had my chorosomomes checked :-P I have a Penis, if that has any relelance to the discussion, but outwardly I present myself androgynously, to the point where straight men and lesbian women are also attracted to me. Obviously I'm not a traditional heterosexual cis man, but I feel like my experience is still valid. Women don't only "line up for sex", As the OP put it, for traditionally masculine asshole alpha male types. I'm not trying to brag, but I definitely have some r…

okay, I guess as someone who's had a heroin addiction, and who's in a relationship with someone else who's had a heroin addiction, we can't quite relate to that :-P Honestly though, that seems like a bit of an insecurity issue, and I'm not a therapist, but that seems like something you might want to work on? I know right know me and my partners get each other off the best right now, and that makes me happy. Can't say its the same for you, but personally their history doesn't matter that much for…

Sex is fucking awesome. It feels great, is satisfying, is fun, builds relationships, and is a great activity to do with one or more other people. I really don't get why redpillers seem to care so fucking much about other people's sex lives. I suppose a "slut" ... I'm in va poly relationship, have sex with my partners about daily, and also hook up with friends pretty regularly. Does this fucking affect you? Sex seriously isn't that big of a deal, and as long as you are safe and use protection, it…

What's wrong with it exactly? Women enjoy having sex with men who enjoy having sex. That seriously shouldn't affect you at all unless you are bitter and jealous of other people having more sexl than you are. Personally, I am in a poly relationship and really enjoy having sex with multiple women (and men), and I wouldn't want to change that. Why should other people change their sex habits just to appease someone like you that they more than likely don't give a single fuck about? And no, not every…

SO I dunno... I feel like my experience might be a valid and interesting data point, aldbeit an outlier. I went through puberty as a male, have had a super high sex drive most of my life, and recently have had it plummet due to drugs (heroin) and antidepressants as well as perhaps hormones as I'm genderqueer and transitioning. Both my partners have way higher sex drives than I do right now, but I'm getting clean in a week from today, so I'm sure it'll skyrocket back up. As someone who has fucked…

Fuck, I Just wrote out like 5 paragraphs and accientally deleted it. All three of us are genderqueer. I'm assigned-male-at-birth, but very very feminine in presentation and expression. One of my partners is the opposite of me, assigned-female-at-birth but veyr very masculine. The other partner is assigned-female-at-birth as well and sorta androgynous but still more on the femme side. I use They pronouns, the masculine partner uses they/he pronouns, and the other partner uses they/she pronouns. F…

I feel like this is based in traditional gender roles, that of men working and women raising children. Honestly I think feminism fights against this and I really bet if the hairdresser was a feminist, she would believe that as a man, he doesn't need to fit into prescibed gender roles and is more than capable of responsibly raising a child.

What girl-girl relationship? I'm not a girl... Amongst the three of us, I'm maybe the most feminine, but that's just in presentation, not amongst behavior. Its probably about 50/50. I don't really know whether to call it "approaching". Usually its just talking with someone, and the conversation naturally takes on a flirting tone. Last time we were flirting and I said something like, "Hehe, we're totally hitting on each other, aren't we", and when I got home, we ended up making out. No idea how i…

Really just geniunely treat people like people. Don't put men or women into seperate bins like that which are above their status as "human". Don't try to use tricks or fake being someone else to find a partner. Really, all I do is hang out with people, when I'm attracted to someone, let them know, and if they're attracted back, we'll hook up, and from there if feelings develop they can turn into a partner. If you're not into casual sex (which it seems like a lot of TRP aren't), thats totally fin…

I disagree. Consider a civil rights movement that focuses on equal rights for specifically black people. They are egalitarian. They don't focus on, say, equal rights for hispanic people, because that's not their mission, despite many of the members perhaps also being involved with groups that do that. It doesn't make them "non-egalitarian"

I'm poly, I've been poly for 10 years. Open relationships are the shit. Granted, I'm in a situation where I'm pansexual and my partners are pansexual as well, so its easy to bring in another person to sexy times as long as they are pansexual too and they can please both of us, but so far that seems like the solution to me. Sex is great, but with one person it can just be a little bit boring.

street harassment is often much more dangerous than just catcalls, and can often be deadly A lot of women do feel very very much unsafe walking alone at night in certain areas. Catcalling is often more than just "HEY BABE NICE TITS", sometimes if you say "no", they get angry "FUCK YOU BITCH YOU'RE UGLY AND FAT ANYWAY" or can even get violent. If you're a man, you have the privilege of never having to deal with that, or at least dealing with it a very very smaller percentage than women. I've been…

I spend plenty of time talking to my feminist friends about issues than affect men, I was just doing it yesterday in fact. We definitely call out people who coerce men into performing certain gender roles. I don't know what more you want me to say.... quantifying privilege is the stupidest idea ever. The whole idea of it is things like white people aren't aware of issues that affect, say, black people, like being pulled over for "Driving while black" in addition to other things dealing with cops. Similarly, men don't see certain issues that affect women. You can't quantify it, you can't "add up" your privilege, that's the whole point of intersectionality. While one person might have some privilege in one aspect, they might not be privileged i…

No, I think sexuality is fluid and changes depending on circumstances. Look at like helllenic culture and shit, thousands of years ago, men were thought to be strange or "queer" if they were ONLY attracted towoen, and if they didn't like other men. I don't know if you are basing everything in liberaliasm, but I don't , and there a plenty of alternatives that address sexual oirentation without bieng homophobic.

You honestly think intrinsic biology is more important in sexual attraction than societal factors? I really hope I don;t need to point you to exampls all the way from ancient greeks up to present timebiol beinf-fat-not-bein-attractive. Sorry, but biology hardly plays a role in attraction these days, at least amongst people who look for somethiing more than "Someone who's hot" when it comes to attraction.

why would a series of hugs stop you from getting in a chamionship? I know all about tough love. It sucks, but I do it to people all the time when its necessary. Ummm, nobody is entitled to have sex with anyone, ever. It should go without saying that due to things like, um, consent, you shouldn't assume someone wants to have sex with you until you know for sure. If you want a sexual relationship with someone and they aren't fulfilling your needs, either get counselling if you want to save it, or break up and find a partner who is a better fit.

Can you explain SMV to me? I don't see how that can possibly make sense. Everyone has different taste in attraction and finds other things attractive. Like that's their use-value. But since sexual relationships arent possessions (I really hope nobody here is fucked up enough to think that), there is ablity to trade the, and exchange-value is usually how the overall value of the thing is on a market. Like on the stock market, the price is how much people are willing to trade it for. Without trade…

If someone WANTS to have those traits for the sake of the traits themselves and sees them as positive, then heck yeah go for it, one of my good friends is definitely the "ALPHA" type, physically strong, doesn't show weakness, stoic, etc. That's his choice though, and he respects me for being the femmeboi I am. As long as those gender roles aren't forced or expected on men, it should be fine. Its perfectly possible to be male and feminine and have a satisfying sex life.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/15 01:40 AM

There is no "designated role" for men in feminism. Feminism see men and women as equals and views us first as human beings who shouldn't be primarily identified as a man or woman before anything else.

I exclusively date feminists and I've never had a problem finding someone who found my femme non-masculine genderqueer self attractive. Again, yes, I'm genderquee, but I know lots of RPers are biological reductionists and probably see me as a man despite my identity. Rather than changing yourself to date people who only want men who conform to male gender roles, why not try dating women (assuming you are straight) who don't care if a man is masculine or strong or whatever? I thought I already posted this, but I think you're confusing feminists asking men to not talk about male issues in feminist spaces devoted to women's issues. The obvious counter example to your claim is feminist spaces devoted to male issues. If you're going to like a heteronormative bro bar, then yeah, you might have issues because the girls who go there are het girls looking to hook up with straight bros. My personal anecdotes are the opposite, I have plenty of feminist women who are attracted to me, and I am neither athletic, strong, or stoic. Okay, I'm pretty good at cycling, but that's it. When I see people of any gender expecting a man to act a certain way just because they are a man, I call them out. When a man is worried about coming across weak, I tell him its OK for him to be weak and that everyone is vulnerable at times, its part of being human. Seems like a self fulfilling prophecy to me. Trpers go after the kind of women who act that way, and in turn act that way themselves. Plenty of us do not have those issues and are in very different sorts of relationships and very happy with their partners. Its just not the kind of thing you hear about on here. The issue being redpoll saying AWALT. Yes, some women are like that. But if something as small as changing who sits and who rotates can affect sexual selection that much, think about what other societal factors can do. Yes, some women might be like what TRP says, and those might be the women that redpillers choose to go after, certainly not all women are like that. The women in my subculture certainly are NOT like how redpillers describe women, which might by why I butt heads with trp so much

I don't really care about career that much. But someone who has accomplishments, such as being in a good band, or getting their PhD, getting papers published, etc. Those all definitely make me more attracted to people, both men and women and everyone else. Um, have you ever watched lesbian sex? I know this goes obviously without saying, but its not porn... Plenty of lesbians do penetrate each other with various things. And yes, I'm familiar with why the shape of the human penis is like it is. But we live in civilization, and are actions are much more governed by sociatial influence than by biology. I just dislike the word "slut", because I feel it have a negative connotation, and I don't like other people shaming people for that. Its definitely fine if you don't want to date people who have a lot of sex partners, just like some people don't want to date people with red hair or ever, that's a personal preference, but I feel like the word "slut" is loaded and insulting in a way.

What's different about it? Maybe I'm just queer as fuck, but I really don't see how someone would judge someone for having sex with a man but not a woman, especially considering how enjoyable of an activity sex it. Like, what's the big different between having sex with 1 person 500 times, and having sex with 5 people 100 times each?

So I'm curious, is a woman who has sex with a lot of women also a slut? Is a man who has sex with a lot of men a slut? Or are they studs? I'm just kind of curious why people aren't into their partners having sex. If you love somebody, why would you want them to have a limited about of a very enjoyable pleasurable activity. Like say you were really into chess, would you only want to play chess with people who have only played with as few other people as possible?

We're all genderqueer, but if you need to know whats in our pants, I have a penis and they both have vaginas. And i object to to therm slut. It has a negative context. What defines a slut for you? Is every person (Myself included) who is in an open relationship (We're all open, and do date/hookup/fuck other people than just us) a slut? Yup. I'm in a triad. I'm dating two partners who are dating each other. Its more than just sex, we all love the absolute fuck out of each other and are best friends.

another case was when someone asked over and over and over again and pressured someone to have sex with them, and then threatened to spill a secret to everyone if they didn't have sex. I'd definitely call that rape, as coerced consent isn't real consent, but I can see some people being on the fence with it

Yes, it definitely is rape. If you are asleep and you wake up with someone's cock inside of you, that is totally rape.

So I guess I'll tell you. Since getting on t-blockers and estrogen, I've definitely found myself much more attracted to male-bodied people and penises. I've been pansexual my entire life, but this just amped it up. Perhaps its also because the two people I'm in a steady relationship with have vaginas. My sex drive has also gone down, yes, I admit it, but ever ever ever so slightly. I'm also a bad control, because about the exact same time I got addicted to opiates again, which most definitely ce…

Look at how many women are bisexual today because its totally acceptable for women to be that way. I fucking wish it was more acceptable for dudes to be queer. Both my partners have vaginas, but I eriously need more dick in my sex life.

I could definitely pull off the male look a bit, but it definitely wasn't me. If you knew my personality and stuff, you'd totally see it didn't fit me. I was mostly pretended to be a dude in order to get jobs and stuff. And yeah, my current look is totally punk goth. I feel like I resemble Rozz Williams and Jonny slut a little bit. Or at least in the vein of their style

I mean its obviously on the inside that counts, but i really enjoy presenting the way I do. When i dressed strictly male, I was so insecure in myself and hated my body. I'm also on hormones to redestribute body weight to be more feminine. Here's a pic of me with my hair parted in the middle to cover up my hairline and using my hand to cover up my facial hair shadow. I feel much more closer to passable in here. I'm gonna work on my hairstyle and see if I can fix it. http://i.imgur.com/xbUdYeC.jpg

Honestly I think societal norms affect sexuality so much more than biology. Look at ancient greek culture, and how being gay/bi was almost expected, and how strictly straight people were considred weird.

No, I don't think anyone can argue that in western countries some types of clothing (skirts, etc) argen't gendered, and that makeup isn't gendered. They both definitely are. And my gender isn't picked. I don't think I had any conscious decision over being genderqueer. Trust me, it would be sooo so so so so so much easier if I was a cis man. Even being a trans woman might be easier, but probably not. My gender isn't a choice. How I decide to express my gender is though. I choose my presentation. …

No, male/female is a phenotype that is based on many characteristics, including mental makeup, hormone levels, internal/external genetalia, chromosomes, and other things. If I'm able to change my hormones, I'm not 100% male. Sex is much more than just chromosomes, and in fact chromosomes are a very poor predictor of sex, with 1/100 or so having abnormal chromosomes that don't match their sex. I suppose, but telling women how to behave all the time is definitely more limiting that telling men how to behave when they interact with women. I have no idea how this would be a good idea. Um, because science has been shown to be accurate than intuition..... Do you disagree with that? Do you think people should go with just "what makes sense in their brain", rather than carrying out studies and looking at data to come up with a conclusion? Do you really think science is implictly feminist? And why should it be the woman's responsibility, when its the men doing the raping? Why not have people follow men around all the time to make sure they don't rape, not allow the to take strange…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/15 08:16 PM

I have no sources yet to back up my view, so I guess we have no point arguing. I'm looking for stuff though. I suppose the point is that limiting women's freedom is fucked. Do you know how most rapes happen? Its not some guy jumping out of an alley with a knife. Most people are raped by someone they know. Honestly the chaperone would probably be the one most likely to rape the woman. Also, can you answer the question I asked you?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/15 07:18 PM

you seem to think of the world as black and white, and that there are just a few "bad people" among the rest who don't do awful things. Most of the rapes I know about, the rapist didn't consider what they were doing rape. Lots of them are just normal people who are extremely shitty about consent.

How does my gender invalidate my opinion? And nearly everyone I associate with and surround myself with is at least bisexual. /r/PurplePillDebate23/03/15 05:55 PM

I definitely disagree. You can train a dog to do certain things. You can train a 12 month old to perform certain gender roles and to not perform other gender roles. If you don't want to have a debate on that, that's fine. I guess the disagreement might be about what you do or don't consider "socialization" And I don't think me being trans affects it. Sex is biological, Gender is a social construct. Children as early as 12 months old have gendered preferences for toys, for example, which cannot be the case of socialization because they can't even speak yet. And that's really not true. You can be socialized without speaking. Reinforcement of male gendered and disapproving of female gendered things will cause them to be develop a socialilly constructed gender even if they can't speak yet. And I wouldn't say that gender is exactly a "choice". I …

I don't think a single data point can be used to invalidate an entire theory. And besides, I don't think that proves anything. Mentally, he was biologically male as sex, and as such he wanted to have a male gender. Its the same as my friend who is a trans man, he has a male-sexed brain, but happened to be born into a female-sexed body. Because of that, he is performing gender as male. Its basically the same thing, except with doctors.

Ummm, can you understand context? You can't just flip words around and say its the same thing. Sorry to go full godwin, but you're basically doing the same thing as "Oh, you talk about hating nazis? that's cool and I guess means you totally okay with me going around talking about hating jews"

Its as much of a control as you're going to get, and when transmen's experience match up with transwomen's experience, that's definitely something worth looking into about how society treats different genders.

I never said "compltely equal", I just claimed that the differences between men and women, other than physical strength, are much much less than most people think, and definitely aren't big enough to support something like the red pill. Maybe I'm not being clear enough, but I'm definitely not supporting the belief that men and women are IDENTICAL, which a lot of people here to be assuming is my view. I'm on hormoens right now, and I can definitely tell you that different levels of testosterone a…

I didn't say "Identical", I said the "real difference". There might be slight variations, but they are insignificant. Can you understand the difference between that? I'm not doing that because I'm not claiming men and women are identical. Read "Whipping Girl", or other books about trans people. When they transition, they notice slight differences in things like emotion, but they aren't nearly as big as they would expect.

Where did you read the actual study? And yes, a study shouldn't make claims about its own results, they should just say "things are this way" thats what articles like the one discusses and why I linked that rather than the actual study itself. If it'll make you happier, here's another article about the study http://www.livescience.com/27226-men-women-alike-psychologically.html it draws the same conclusion http://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/relationships/men-are-from-earth-women-are-from-earth-s…

If it makes you more comfortable to say "thinking women are inferior to men in every way" and "women are basically more like children than they are like men" is "sexism against women" rather than "misogyny", sure, do that and replace the word in your head when you read my post. At this point, I won't even mind if people will shut up about that and actually address my points. And yes, I have been replying to people's issues they have with my links. You think I'm shaming a man's masculinity? I prefer feminine men to masculine men. And I'm pretty sure those men can have sex just fine (whether or not they can find someone willing to have sex with them is a different story) People use neckbeard as an insult to describe men who are bitter and sexist towards women and misogynists and constantly critique women on things like being slightly too fat, but themselves basically have no hygeine at all (thus the name, neckbeard).
