When it comes to a lifelong commitment like a raising a child, I am going to only trust one person to protect myself from that: myself so I am going to wear a condom. If there was male birth control I would definitely be on it - but since there is not I am going to wear a condom. If the woman wants to protect herself that is her decision, she can use birth control.
