Classmates are all sheltered Jewish kids - they probably aren't aware of the issues that surround them. Generally, the guys are more afraid of the backlash of saying something against the feminist version of things. I should discuss it more, although, I'm not sure how it would be taken. To me, it's tradition - thus, I see no real issue with it. If others don't want to be in the non-egal service, they can go to the much more popular egalitarian service.

Based on the responses I've received, I've come to this conclusion: Given the fact that it's a personal, religious choice to lead and participate in a service that doesn't exclude women (see the edit to my original post), there isn't any real discrimination involved - even some women prefer to participate (although, not lead) in the service. Thus, I can stop fretting. Thanks, guys :)

The Traditional service doesn't exclude women from attending, it only bars them from leading the service and reading from the Torah, as well as being called to it.
