I can't think of a more universally applicable symbol of self improvement and discipline. With getting money or girls you can get lucky and be successful without any effort. You can also put in a lot of effort and not see results. But with fitness it doesn't depend on anyone else and it's easily represented visually and analogies are apt for many situations in life.

Lifting and martial arts didn't get rid of my fears and anxieties because they were never physical in the first place. Social humiliation is very unpleasant no matter how much you can deadlift. That said, there's no downsides to getting in shape and everybody should strive for it by default.

I don' have that problem. Girls that don't like me end dates quickly by themselves. And even when they don't, I'm not so busy that I couldn't sit for an extra half hour with a girl that's not enthusiastic. I did try to end one date because the girl was rude, and then she was all over me trying to get me to stay. Hmmm.

One problem is getting flaked on or canceled or stood up. The other problem is girls not finding me attractive when we meet up. I've fixed the first problem by talking to them on the phone for 10 minutes. Unless you're saying I'll fix the second problem by not talking to them on the phone, there's no reason not to. I really don't understand what you're trying to say.

I'm sorry you don't approve of zero-effort actions? Like those are not the only dates I've had in my life. I've been on around 50 first dates give or take, and sometimes they'll flake and cancel, but never if I talked to them on the phone. I’ve never been stood up and never talked to girls on the phone at all prior to a date. Congratulations I guess? I know phone calls work for me in terms of not getting stood up.

Er...... don't spend any money on any women, EVER. It's weird that you try to spend money on them: this counts against you and turns women off sex, you know that right? Deep down in your soul you have to understand this. So even though it's an insignificantly small amount of money for me, I should not spend any money on women because spending money in itself makes me less attractive to them? Am I understanding this correctly? Because you also say The more you sweeten the deal, the more not-attra…

Why shouldn't I? It's a diagnostic tool to figure out which pics to put on dating apps and it's pretty consistent.

In my experience this isn't true. All kinds of girl uses dating apps for all kinds of reasons. And of course I tried, zero takers.

The photos are recent (4-6 months) but they're also my best photos (5/10 on Photofeeler up from my average of 4/10). I have videos of me on my profile too so they see me in motion. I'm try not to misrepresent myself too much but matches are hard to get as it is. As for it being in my head, getting unmatched after a couple of days makes it pretty clear they were not interested, though It could be that I misread their lack of interest and I start behaving in an unattractive way. I'd love to only s…

If you're not getting rejected often, it's a sign you're not setting your sights high enough. Or that you've hit the level cap as a guy. Being able to shrug off rejection and disappointments is a core life skill. You want to develop callouses for your ego and you could do worse than deliberately conditioning yourself to get used to rejection.

I get consistently from 3.5 to 5.1 and just can't get higher scores. I guess I should count my blessings, I get about a match a day and most of them reply but it translates to maybe 2 dates per month.

That is my main concern. I have multiple photos from different angles and two videos or my entire body. The girls recognize me immediately but from how they were from the get go my suspicion is that it's something not just physical but visual. But if I use my worst photos, then I might not get any matches and my rating on the app may go to shit.

I'm 36, they were 25, 25, 30 and 31. Women who are not attracted to me are always nice and polite. I imagine it's to avoid any unpleasantness and to get away as quickly and cleanly as possible. When a woman is acting like a bitch, she usually likes me but is pissed off about something.

Why wouldn't I? I've never been stood up by a girl I talked to on the phone. I think it works well to get them more invested and set me apart from the 20 other guys they're talking to. And a phone call is like 10 minutes, basically zero effort.

You're not wrong but it's kinda hard to build a sexual vibe when they're in strictly business mode. Maybe the key is to try to not notice their vibe. Maybe I'm attuned to signs of disinterest and my brain is amplifying them and my mood goes to shit and it's a vicious cycle.

Linen slacks, button down shirt and casual shoes, stuff like that. I'd say it's normal, I'm not making any bold fashion choices and it's the same kind of clothes that I have on my pics. I've been lifting for 10 years or so. I'm not jacked or shredded but I'm comfortably better built than average of any age. 22 pull ups in 1st set. It's a mystery but maybe tomorrow's date will break my bad streak.

Definitely possible. I've had more dates like this, just never this many in a row. Uhh dunno, hug, nice to meet you, I tell them where we're going (cocktails) and then they hit me with the excuse for why they can't drink or stay too long. One of my theories is that I look weird when I talk, like my mouth moves weird or something? I'm definitely not a good looking guy (4/10 on Photofeeler) but they matched with me and decided to go on a date with me based on those same pics so.

I'm 36, they were 25, 25, 30 and 31. I have another date tomorrow. I'm kinda tempted to send the girl home if she's obviously not interested but that doesn't bring me closer to improving.

You're massively underestimating how terrifying girls are. If you are not scared of girls and interacting with them, there's something wrong with your brain.

Yeah, it's cope. The average age difference between heterosexual couples (married or otherwise) in the US is less than 3 years, and it's not because men don't want younger women. And it's not this BS about protection or resources or whatever. Most young women date guys who have no resources and couldn't protect them. Basically every other female teacher is fucking her students. As for guys here reporting they're dating much younger women, they could be outliers, they could be dating an unattract…

I don't have three vices. I don't think I even have one vice, at least to the extent that it's limiting me in anything. Good job me!

Sounds like you have (had) a porn problem. Glad you got it under control. Most guys aren't like that though. It's like alcohol and alcoholics. For most people moderate use isn't a big deal, but for alcoholics it's a completely different story. Not sure what's the point of nofap. I tried it for 6 weeks when I didn't have a girlfriend and it was just distracting, nothing more than that. I didn't even feel like I wanted to meet women or anything, it didn't motivate me. I guess like everything else …

Getting back into the gym and reading and writing will not help you if you're the kind of guy who calls ex girlfriends. That's a part of your personality that's weak. Sure being more attractive will get you more girls, and with more girls you will care less about any one of them in particular, but you want to have the kind of mental discipline to move on even if she's your last chance at happiness. And it's not even a matter of experience. I know guys who've been with probably a hundred girls an…

I had no idea. I can do 22 pull ups (on the first set only though) and I don't feel like I have an amazing back. It's alright I guess but no one's ever complimented me on it or even made a comment.

That rule sucks, it makes guys think they'll be getting easy pussy if they get jacked.

The positive: being able to approach women puts you above most guys, I'd say even above most guys here. The negative: your approach is super cringy. Maybe it comes off different in a club where everybody's buzzed and having a good time, but maybe it's just bad and that's why a handsome 6'4" guy was having such a low success rate. Mind you Mystery's lay count doesn't mean he was getting rejected 99.6% of the time, but still it wasn't impressive.

$100K would do you a lot more justice in attracting women Prostitutes. You'd be attracting prostitutes, to your money specifically, not to you.

Most celebrity dudes are dating women around their own age. Basically 100% of them could get hot 21 year olds if they wanted.

Lesson #1: have an emergency fund Lesson #2: don't live in Serbia or deal with Serbs How did you end up with a Hello Kitty backpack anyway? Did you rob some third grader on her way from school?

Try to become emotionally relevant to them rather than just some rando typist trying to fuck them.

Being non compliant works well for me. I simply refuse to do what she says whenever I can. Not in some unpleasant way but jokingly or just ignoring her requests. This also goes for emotional reactions to something she said or did. Sometimes she'll want the same thing I want, so in those cases I "comply"

Don't even imply you'll be spending money on a chick. I've been a software engineer for 10 years (I earn about 6x the average for where I live) but I never tell chicks that. I always say I'm like a bartender or baggage handler or something like that. When you imply you can be a provider, their mindset changes. Suddenly they don't want to act like whores and want you to respect them and see them as a potential long term partner. But you tell them you're a waiter or some other dead end job and the…

I'm not seeing the kind of things you're describing. I've never felt I'm supposed to bring flowers or pay for an expensive dinner with a woman who wasn't already in a relationship with me. The vast majority of them are fine just going for coffee to see what I'm about, and if they like me then I don't have to do anything except give them an excuse to hang out in private. No desirable woman in the developed world is going to whore herself out for a nice dinner. That said, the reason men have to ma…

I was obsessed with girls until I got my first girlfriend and then they became just one of the things in life that turned out to be overrated and have a bunch of trade-offs. It took me like two weeks to start ditching my first girlfriend for my Xbox. I'm not sure how that relates to bronze age fairy tales but I'd like to think I'd tell the whore and the gods to fuck right off.

What’s with the messaging and talking to girls online? You should be out there spinning plates in real life lol. boomer take tbh you get to do fun shit with women in real life but making first contact online is perfectly acceptable
