Ladies, you have the divorce reddit to yourselves. Why pretend to be men on this one?Read OPs post history, can confirm. Eesh. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/02/23 11:03 PM

I feel like I always get the end of the stick with parenting timeHey, I've been there. You're doing the right things. One thing my attorney told me that still rings true: "You can't litigate someone into being a good parent." So keep a journal and maintain meticulous notes. Document any and all issues, including costs and timelines, communication with the kids, etc. Unfortunately, you're probably going to have to wait until she really oversteps her bounds. It felt like death by a million cuts in my situation, but eventually she got too bold and I was able to … | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/04/22 11:15 PM
Dating thoughts. At what age gap do things become creepy? 10 years? 15? 20?This is the way. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/02/22 01:59 AM
Any tips for first night out alone?Even dating or married...go out alone. Treat yourself. Taking yourself on dates is daunting but it gets real easy and real fun after the initial hump. I'm a former industry guy, worked restaurants for years. Some of my best friends (literally) are guys that came in solo. Date yourself. It's a lot easier than dating someone else and it's good practice for the "real" thing. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/02/22 03:57 AM
Does “The woman you marry is not the same woman you divorce” ring true for you?Oh man. This hurts because it's too true. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/02/22 12:28 AM
Should I divorce before or after vowel renewal?Waiting until after seems like the worst choice. It would be much more damaging and, unless there's more we don't know, a logistical nightmare. I don't see any potential upside to waiting until after you recommit yourself to your wife on an intl trip. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/01/22 04:10 PM
Equal Shared Parenting Bill in Ohio - Share!I'm in Ohio and have been on the wrong end of how our state handles custody issues. This is encouraging. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/12/21 09:05 PM
What do I do now?The Book of Forgiving by Desmund Tutu....buy it and read it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/08/21 04:23 AM
Moving out tomorrow.I'm sorry my friend, that hits right in the feels. I hope you and the kids can navigate this as well as possible. Just one day at a time. Reach out if you need anything. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/08/21 12:38 AM
How to communicate when angry?Exactly. Well said. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/07/21 09:01 PM
How to communicate when angry? It's kind of expensive but Our Family Wizard is an ok tool for parents that struggle with conflict. It's $100/yr and provides a ton of accountability for both parents, plus scheduling and expense tracking. It's not always the most user friendly but it does minimize the superfluous bs for both parties. Also, neither party can alter the communication in any way. It's been a godsend during my custody battles (yeah, that's plural). | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/07/21 07:24 PM

How did you do it if you have fallen out of love..but still care...My best advice? It's going to hurt. A lot. Prioritizing our own happiness when we have kids is a learned skill that requires balance and a level head. To be clear, I'm terrible at it. My suggestion? Get into therapy for yourself. Find a therapist your trust and be open with them. I wish I had, before I passed the point of no return. It will help you connect better with your kids, your spouse (whether you stay together or not), and will equip you better for the path forward. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/07/21 09:00 PM
Never let her see you bleedI know this pain all too well. Sharing a tear with you. Head up, shoulders back....You're a kind, conscientious father. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/07/21 02:34 PM
So stupid…Hey. Another person having access to your child is a tough pill to swallow. Don't do it alone. Reach out to other men in this group, a therapist, anyone really. Don't metabolise this alone. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/06/21 03:29 AM
It does get better!Needed this today. Thank you! | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/04/21 05:43 PM
