You're asking for validation and support for your actions If this were true then I would not be arguing with you, would I? You shouldn't get flowers for her if you haven't gone out with her yet. You send flowers to thank her for a good time. You don't send flowers to buy her interest. I'm going to reject your opinion on the grounds that we have absolutely nothing in common.

I'm not seeking anyone's permission. I didn't ask my boss anything, I told him I was going to ask her out after the first meeting we had.
