Recent politics has kinda resulted in the two sides being the left vs a coalition of people who are not left. The (far) left very consistently values intersectionality, feminism, banning guns, stopping global warming, atheism, socialism, and probably some other things I can't think of right now. Since they tend to be exclusionary/aggressive towards people who don't hold those core beliefs, a lot of the right is a coalition of anti-intersectionals, MRAs, 2nd Amendment supporters, climate change d…

It would be to participate in Democratic primaries and trying to get a reasonable politician on the ballot.

I don't mind changing rooms either. I think that as a culture everyone is too afraid of nudity/sex, and if we set an early precedent for kids that being nude/using a toilet around others is fine, they'll grow up to be less wary around the other gender. Can't have "rape culture" if everyone is used to being naked around each other and not getting raped.

I was thinking exactly that, I saw that railing and thought "If this was happening to me, she'd be going for a dive."

I think it'd be fine to just take your patronage elsewhere, if you find the offense especially egregious, you can organize a boycott of the company until they stop discriminating. Asking the government to please help make everything equal is how we have such bullshit rules about gender equality nowadays, I think lobbying the government to fix this would make the problem worse.

That'd be a nightmare to clean/ventilate though. The ideal bathroom (In my mind) is one room (not male/female designated) with a number of stalls, as well as a row of urinals since I find them more convenient when I need to urinate. I suppose the privacy and dignity side is less important to me since when I go in a bathroom, I usually want to do my business and leave without acknowledging anybody, and I assume others have the same intent. In the end, in most spaces, the owner of the building has…

Yeah, honestly the most efficient solution would be to not have a wall between the rooms and make it one large neutral room, but that would take quite a bit of effort for comparably little gain. In the future, I suppose business owners can just choose to make a single bathroom instead of two, and we can leave the current bathrooms as they are, slapping a neutral sign on one of them.
/r/MensRights07/04/17 01:31 AM

Nicely argued. I agree that the sign outside the bathroom doesn't really matter, and I don't think any guys have been hurt yet because they had the gall to go into the extra-special bathrooms. I'm just disappointed they didn't go all the way. If they're going to convert the men's bathroom into an all-gender bathroom, why do they still waste space by cordoning off an entirely separate room specifically for women?

To be perfectly fair, even the biggest, strongest police officer will pull their gun if they think they need it. It's not "Can I safely wrestle this man to the ground, considering the weapon he has?", it's "Oh shit knife get my gun bang bang bang bang." Also, for non-lethal options there is always a tazer or pepper spray, both of which still don't care for your personal strength.

That's good. Censorship because feelings may be hurt isn't right, no matter what side you're on.
