I think that’s true what you say. I fell into my first 6 year relationship completely by chance. Just got incredibly lucky I think (or maybe not when I look at how it ended). But I was 19 and she was way out of my league. I dated a friend of hers for a bit but we broke up and then I made a very bold move to take her somewhere she really wanted to go but her date bailed on her and things just happened.

Because of external circumstances, I was about ready to propose to both girls in the 6th year. And both times it fell apart before I could do it. Even bought a ring for the most recent one. I think personally it could be a variety of things. Could be she’s not sure she’s ready to have sex yet. Could be she finds it hot when she tells men no and they still go for what they want anyway.
