Recently at a museum I had a couple different guys come up behind me to "admire" the same item I was looking at and get so close that if I turned my body to go to the next painting I would be forced to bump into them. Pissed me the fuck off and I know it was purposeful because I managed not to "Accidentally" stand that close to anyone all day and the museum wasn't crowded. the first time it happened the man was so close I assumed it must be my husband, turned around to address him and was surpri…

My college boyfriends roommate didn't wash his sheets the whole year and his bed had a yellow brown stain where his body would lay at night. His towels were also gross. Other than that he seemed to understand hygiene and I saw him ironing his clothes once so he knew about laundry. It was foul.

I usually think of it as I have cooked this delicious meal and for my own vanity I want the other person to have the best parts so they rave about it even more, which makes me feel better than thinking I'm doing it because I don't value myself. But I am aware that it's been socialized into me to do this

I too was undiagnosed adhd, despite having loads of hallmarks and there were at least 5 ADD/ADHD diagnosed boys in my class who got away with insane shit. I honestly feel they let me slip through the cracks because I was socialized to be polite and insecure.

My dad always told me that a date needs a set time, location and activity to be accepted. He told me to ask boys out with that advice bless him but the advice still holds up for being on the receiving end of an invitation and has generally served as a good rule when making plans, which seems to be a lost art.

The night that something happened to me (roofied so not sure) my favorite cardigan was lost. It's always felt shallow to care about that loss in the grand scheme of what happened but it's something to pin my feelings of robbery from that evening on since I don't know what else happened. I feel like I was robbed of things that brought me joy. My relationship at the time, my favorite sweater, whatever else happened. The sweater is an easier thing to mourn.
