Once witnessed a proposal where the dude didn’t bother to pause the basketball game he was watching on his phone. He sat across from her and asked, while occasionally glancing down at the phone balanced on his knee. I got out 3 months in and yet still I look back and think, “wow that was just so humiliating.” I feel like I had allowed myself to be degraded by a man who really didn’t care. That feeling of humiliation and degradation has been much harder to recover from than other “breakups.” This sub has been a real lifeline.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
